    This video was great for showing me how to break down my vacuum, I was able to unclog it and get it running again without having to come up with the money to pay someone to fix it. It also helped me understand why the damn thing has gotten clogged 3 times in a year, now (what tiny airways it has inside it!) Thanks for posting!

    Thank you! My vacuum had a clog and thanks to your video, I found it. I got brave and blew out the cyclone. It's almost 10 years old and it works like new now! To others who have this or are thinking about buying it, it's a great vacuum for the price. Just pay attention to the size of the items your vacuuming up. It's great with pet hair and the roller rarely clogs with hair.

    The carbon fiber bristles really do work rather well on that fine sticky dust that accumulates under furniture for many months. my Miele s5 and s7 and Kirby with the brush rolls off on fine dust usually require a quick finishing sweep with a swifter dry cloth to get any remaining stuck on dust, while the dyson small ball with brush roll on completely eliminates the need for the finishing swifter dusting.
    Also from my experience, it’s mainly rough or damaged floors that literally pull out the carbon bristles.

    These truly have overcomplicated internal piping system. One example: DC40 (1100w) motor pulls pretty impressive 104 cfm. However after the piping and cyclones it has dropped to the 55 cfm measured from the hose end. That's what I call restrictive airpath. For example Miele C3 (1200w) pulls 108 cfm from the hose end. It might have no loss of suction, but suction/airflow is bad to begin with 😄

    Perhaps the most counter productive canister type design known to man.
    Am ashamed to say this country is the biggest spender on marketing. Obviously highly effective.

    the only product of dyson I've used is the air blade, and even that seems not well suited since it just blasts waster and skin particles all over a room

    Performance reviews how often did you have to replace the bag in your Miele that you used for your bench vac

    • @PerformanceReviews
      @PerformanceReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I currently use a central vacuum for my bench vac. I know many technicians who do this. When I did use a Miele with a FJM bag every 7 to 10 days. Which tends to be about 100 vacuums .

      I would bring it to a professional there's a lot of different things that can go wrong with that machine. Anything from the plastic housing wearing so the micro switch doesn't work to the circuit board failing.

      Don’t listen to this clown. Remove the screws, pop off the cover for the power switches, and reseat the buttons and their spring. Nothing difficult.

  • @ReviewingModsOfGames

    I can't imagine how restrictive that design is. It seems that the more they revise them, the more restrictive they get. At least that cyclone isn't siliconed into one piece such as the DC17.

    Oh a dig at the British. Naughty Alex! We do build some nice cars. Rolls Royce are not bad cars, Jaguar, Aston Martin very stylish cars. You should be very grateful for what the British have given to the world. :)

    • @PaulHojda
      @PaulHojda 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      British cars may very well be stylish, but they've always had a reputation of being unreliable and hard to work on when they break, which they often did.

    In your opinion are Sharks and Dyson's the worst vacuums or is it just that they're so overhyped when they're actually not much better then a dirt devil or bissell

    • @PerformanceReviews
      @PerformanceReviews  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In my opinion this is an opinion that is shared by anybody who's worked in the industry. Bagless vacuums are the worst. I would go as so far to say that Hoover has higher quality then Dyson or shark as of 2019. You're right Shark is on par with Bissell and Dirt devil. I considered Dyson the funny in between indefinitely the over-hype and overpriced option.

    These don't agitate at all, it's the other brush roll that is the beast for agitation. This brush roll I found to be just pathetic and only really any good for a quick run round, just like the V6/V8/V10 as they have the same crappy brush roll. They struggle with sock fluff at best! Terrible idea from Dyson!
