I love your vacuum maintenance care :) I took my sisters Oreck edge To Oreck in Paramus and they didn’t even wipe the vacuum down and charged me 160 dollars for a fan housing and maintenance . I still had the 5 year tune ups and they still charged me . My Sebo x5 so far is my favorite vacuum in my collection and my Miele U1 Eco and C2 are my to go vacs Riccar radiance premium I put to the side I haven’t used it in a couple months now . I love your vids I can’t wait for a blue X5 one other than the repair one you have :) thank you for all you do for us viewers always :)

You are right about them being simple to repair. I have repaired a lot of them, but I'm not crazy about them in general. While lightweight, they never deep clean to satisfy me.
Surprisingly I’ve not messed with one of these yet. I have an m500 and riccar r10p which I like. I do like these orecks though based on what I’ve read about them. Also the parts availability is another reason I like them as well. Good vid 👍
Definitely look on Craigslist for one. You can find them often 20 to $50 it used to be if they have the original paperwork with them you could get them warranty out if something was wrong with them.
Given that this has a 21 year warranty (unless I’m confusing this with another Oreck), I wonder if Oreck would still honor it to this day or if they would be unaware.
i found a oreck xl 21 at a goodwill and it was the titanium version and there was an oreck xl clasice next to it but i picked the xl21 and i loved it soso much i think it is a pretty good machine. and im curintley buying another one off ebay same on in white cant wait to get it lol
HI GREAT VIDEO, I have an Oreck pro power plus mod # U4190H2 and cant seem to find a roller brush or belt for my specific model. the roller brush measures 11 1/8 inches across. can you point me in the right direction please? thank you!
I have an Oreck XL Platinum Plus. The little wheels on the Front of the Base plate are worn so bad that the belt hits the hardwood floors and leaves a mark. Do they sell Wheels to consumers ?? Thanks.
Can you send me a picture of the motor wires I believe the blacks go on the top on both sides and the whites on the bottom on a u 7000 model XL Platinum
So the Orecks don't deep clean? What about the Riccar Supralites? I thought Direct Air machines produced quite a bit of airflow and did well on carpets?
I think the Riccar Supralites are a lot better. Much more reliable in my opinion. I work at a vac repair store and I sell a lot of Supralites, but rarely see them come in aside for servicing. Orecks on the other hand come in everyday. Riccar belts are much stronger
Joe Hoffman There is talk about them coming to the UK but here in the EU you have to meet 80db for noise level so maybe Tacony will have to work on.that. I will buy one if they do come here.
Mark Pritchard oh yeah that’s right... I’ll ask my tacony sales rep if he knows any update on that. I wouldn’t count on it being too soon though. I’ve got the R30D model. Look it up on their website, 2 motors. Definitely the best vac I’ve ever owned for cleaning carpets. That’s just my opinion though.
I just ordered a 2006 XL21 from Ebay after my 2009 XL Silver's motor burned out. Would David's Vacuums(Oreck's certified warranty center) still honor the warranty and/or the remaining free tune ups?

Do not waste your time!! They are made cheap & perform as such. I usually leave them on the side of the road....best place for them.

Yes ! They currently still honor all warranties sold before TTI bought them.

No that would be the pilot. The access was a cheaper version of the pilot . Sold through QVC and then liquidated through the Oreck stores.

So if I bought an Oreck xl21 at a goodwill and it came with the original warranty paperwork, can I use that for my self or is that non transferable?
It's non-transferable. Trying to collect on that warranty would be fraudulent. But very common for consumers to do.
