I have an Electrolux epic 6500 model. I would definitely buy an Aerus Electrolux any day over a dyson!! They are simply the best vacuums!! Never had any issues with the machine! Love it! Great video!!

I remember the first time that I saw a Dyson. I couldn't believe that the hottest thing was a vacuum made of the creakiest plastic that can't reach under a bed or a sofa, and looks like Robbie the Robot. I still think the same of them. There's no reason for their cost.

@hugh tuck The only model I’ve ever appreciated is the current Small Ball upright

I had one of these for about 2 weeks. And got rid of it. Didn’t feel it cleaned all that well. I do like them from a collector standpoint though but I like the dc07 the most in that regard.

Hank's Garage I just got one. And I think it’s about to fail. And it does not work well. So I will probably scrap it.

I’d say the DC33 is one of the least best Dysons. My neighbor owned one from new and the motor blew in the first two months. In the five year course, they had to replace the wand, hose, chassis because it snapped, the filters got dirty quickly, it was just a problematic machine for them
Sold them a DC14 and it’s far better, they love it
I’d say the DC33 is a downgrade overall. Just a less reliable version of the 14

I think a bag is much easier maintenance!

I remember seeing the DC33 at Walmart (wally world lol). They never seemed to deep clean well and the belt changes were painful.

It's the dc17 that shares the same cyclone pack. That was the 2 motor version that was almost too aggressive. I'd like to see a video on that one if you ever have the opportunity.

Looks like the cyclone assembly from the even worse DC28 Airmuscle

The problem you were having at 10 mins I to the vid is usually because the cleaner head groove that slides into the groove on the motor housing isn’t seated correctly

Hey just an fyi, not trying to be douchey, but for forture reference when want to tell somebody about something that is at a certain point in the video, you can just type the time in. Like say "hey at 10:08 in the video this happened" and they can click it and go right to that spot lol anyway, i learned that, thought id share the knowledge. Have a good one 😁

I could never justify spending the money on Dyson products when I could get something that actually works and needs less repairs, and wont cost me a month of rent

I was tempted to get one of these. This video has lead me to think twice. It just seems to be very fragile and hard to service. Brushroll isn't very impressive either.
It's good that you do these videos so people really see how these vacuums really work.

I recently found a DC-07 right next to a DC - 33 by a dumpster. I’m trying to make one good one out of two bad ones. Specifically, I’m trying to salvage the DC - 33, but it needs new brush roll bearings. How do I pull the old bearings out? I want to save this brush roll because it has nice long bristles on it.

I see you have a Roomba 980 on your bench in this video, if you end up being the one to service it do you think you could make a video of it? Thanks.

You should do a pre service airflow vs post service airflow

The last clutch model and somehow they made it the worst one too. This was made to be as cheap as possible.

Lol every single time I would change mine without that tool I broke the belt gard on the brush so last year I bought the metal belt lifter lmfao

Do you get dc14’s in the shop? If so, could you make a video on one please with partile testing and assembly or disassembly?

I've never been interested in a Dyson and maybe I'm missing out on something but just no drive for one. What kind of gloves do you use?

    • @PerformanceReviews
      @PerformanceReviews  6 ปีที่แล้ว

Black nitrile gloves I just look for the thickest ply.

I have something rattling in my Dyson 33 but it only rattles when I put it in the carpet setting any suggestions?

    • @PerformanceReviews

Being it to your local vacuum shop. I would bet the clutch or base that holds the clutch, has something broken

Performance Reviews would a strong backpack blower clean this out w/o disassemble. I use a stihl br700 to clean out the dysons. Thanks for the advice.

I've used the exhaust of a central vac to do that previously but I find when you're trying to remove odors washing is the only way to go.

Oooh, I need some experience in watching Dyson vids. Even though their company morals are poor.
