Dyson to most people is like a Marmite. You'll either love it or hate it. I love my Dyson DC40 and it is very addictive & enjoyable to use. I get a very satisfying results. I don't mind the flimsy plastic as long you'll look after your Dyson and it'll look after you. I have over 35 years of vacuuming experience. I have used Electrolux, Hoover, Vax, Dirt Devil, Black & Decker, Panasonic, Daewoo, Henry and Shark. I find most of these brands very unpleasant to use. Dyson is very different from other brands. It is the most enjoyable, satisfying & addictive vacuum cleaner to use. Dyson has an innovative look & nice feel to it. The carpet looks and feel cleaner and the air I breath in is lot cleaner too. I like to say thanks to Roger, ibaisaic for producing his fascinating videos about vacuum cleaners and make vacuuming more inspiring, fun & interesting. Very enjoyable to watch your videos.
These are $600aud .quite expensive . I just found one on the side of the road. The bottom motor wasn't rotating so it was thrown out for that reason i imagine. I listened and could hear the motor trying to move. I took that bottom area out and gave the motor housing a slight tap...it became unstuck and is now working perfectly...wow
As a Currys and Dyson exclusive, they have a red one called the Total Clean like the DC55 and it comes with the same tools as the DC55 I believe. I have the multifloor version like yours and I got it from Amazon for £250. It is much better than the DC50 Animal I owned a few years ago. That felt very flimsy and I didn't feel it deep cleaning and it felt like it didn't have much suction at the top despite feeling fine when I put my hand on top . The Small Ball feels so much more powerful with the hose suction, it feels more sturdy and it picks up so much and I can feel it deep cleaning. I'm overall impressed by it
Rickie from Wilmington NC I just purchased this vacuum and haven't even taken it out of the box because I hate putting things together. Thank you so much for your video. I feel much better now. Fear of unboxing is gone! Again, thank you.
Thank you! Your video is the MOST informative I have found for this Dyson vacuum, and I watched quite a few before your video came up on my list. Have saved in my favorites and subscribed.
I love this vacuum cleaner ! It made my oriental rug look brand new! I didn’t know how to attach the tool holder and I so appreciate you going through the entire machine including filters. It picks up animal hair and yuck with amazing suction!
Thank you for the video. I think I finally managed to get the cleaning head on my machine. Mine is a US version, and it's slightly different from yours. I've avoided vacuuming because the head kept coming off! But your video was quite helpful here. Thanks!
my nan had this dyson and she loves it it Hoover's really well. although she has to have the brushes spinning low or it won't move as it sucks to The carpet so well
Great video - very clear. We just bought a near new (hardly used) second hand one of these & the rotating brush function doesn't work. Could you offer any reason why this may be? Could it be due to the initial assembly?
excuse me but i have the cinetic big ball upright And am working on getting this one, what would you rank this and does it do good with not shag but carpet sort of like yours but just bigger. I tend to notice dysons work well with big carpets but hard to maneuver. Does this one maneuver easier than the big ball because its smaller or does it not? Also was wondering if you collect vacuums? I do but only own at least 5 going on 6.
Great videos, What vacuum do you think would be best for an all carpet 3 floored home? It would be for single mom and her two little boys. So no finicky or easily broken parts and easy to use so she can clean everywhere. Stairs, under furniture, etc. What do you think of the Dyson v6? It’s light and quick? But does it clean well enough?
Great video! I purchased mine yesterday and noticed that on some of my area rugs the suction is extreme that I can't push it. Can you please help? Thank you
I bought myself a spare used cyclone canister for my Dyson DC40, recently from eBay. It is very smelly with pets hair. I removed all the excess dirt first. I managed to take it apart (as shown from another TH-cam channel) and all the rubber seals apart. But watch out for the springs when taking the outer mesh piece apart from the cyclone unit. I washed the whole cyclone and canister in a bucket of hot water with laundry non-bio washing liquid. I used the dip in and dip out method in the bucket of hot soapy water to wash and to flush through the cyclone. I used a small brush to clean out nooks and crannies. The amount of dirt build up has cleared away. The long filter, I managed to take the top blue plastic bit apart and managed to push the filter inside out. There's moth of pets hair build up and trapped inside the filter and I managed to wash away the dirt and removed the pets hair. The filter is also smelly therefore I washed it in the basin with hot water with mixed in Bold 2 in 1 liquid (with conditioner to get rid of the smell). After, rinsed them thoroughly with cold water. I personally let it all dry for at least 48 hours. I assembled everything back together and used it on my DC40. I switched it on and it feel like brand new again with the fresh clean fragrance smell from the filter. I only recommend to do this if the cyclone is used for so many years and getting smelly with caked in dirt.
Wongalicious that is why u should never trust the same Canister u see in the pictures on eBay.That’s not Dyson’s fault it’s who ever ur bought it off and also I don’t see how ur comment has anything to do with this video. Personally I think the Dyson DC.. is the right way to go and please stop banging on about how u cleaned a Dyson DC40 which is a good bit smaller than the DC41 which I have. Not trying to start any argument’s just I didn’t see what this had to do with the video
i have the exact model, but it is only good for Carpet cleaning. If you needed to use this in a car upholstery or floor, it can't even suck the small pieces.
I am still more impressed by the new Shark Duo Liftaway. I would already have it but Amazon sent me a nv33 and cannot track the lost Speed. I must wait 3/5 days just for a return label and then I must ship back the nv33 and then go shopping or reorder when they send me a refund!
I want to know how it works with vacuuming long hair. I have a Dyson and it has held out, but the turn thing always gets hairs in it and stopped turning
Again very enjoyable video! Now that's an impressive small vacuum cleaner. Dyson has gone far from the previous ball models. I just hope that the brushes don't wear down so quickly what they did in many DC50 models with the same style brushroll. And it's a screamer (motor tone) like almost all bagless vacuums are, but I am not too worried about that. I want one of these so much. Although it will never beat my Kirby G6 :D
Vacuumtests I just got the small ball multi floor and I’m very impressed! It really seals down to the floor, it’s so much better then the dc50 I’ve previously had, the handle doesn’t bend and flex nearly as much, and it has much better agitation, you can actually hear the brushroll digging into the carpet, were as the brushroll on the dc50 you couldn’t even hear the brush hitting the carpet, like it almost wasn’t even there, also the suction from the hose is much stronger, I will be making videos of it soon
Oh and it doesn’t just Float on top of thick shag rugs like the uprights do, it performs way better then my ball multi floor on my thick shag carpet, the multi floor is a lot better on low like carpets tho, but it still performs very well, a lot better then I was expecting it to be
I am so glad Dyson is now putting the Carbon Fibre technology into more of their vacuum cleaners. I think it's their best technology (right after the cyclone tech of course). However, I think it doesn't make too much sense to buy a corded cleaner nowadays. Especially for people with hard floors.
The cardon fibre brushes wear down quite quickly though. I have not used any cordless cleaner that I would consider a replacement for a corded machine yet.
I use my Dyson V6 to clean my dorm room and it is by far the best vacuum cleaner at the halls. :D We also have a Dyson DC45 at home. We bought it when it was introduced as a new machine and the entire brush roll seems to be holding up fine. We use it 2 to 3 times a week, but true, mostly on hard floors, which do not cause as much wear and tear as using it on carpets. Or... you just vacuum too much... :P
Rubidicaby Hernandez They're a bloody pain, all too often in my experience, the walls / outlets can't bear to part with the plug and you end up stressing the "seam" of the plug. I prefer US plugs / outlets.

My family is a great family but we don't need. A dyson small boll

In relation to cleaning the cyclone you can actually take it apart which is fairly easy to do and wash it all out. I done it the other day on my DC33
Hassan Ali It is much harder to do on the new radial root cyclonic Dysons.
Ahh i wasn't aware about that.
I just bought the same dyson for the first time. Thanks for the quick demonstration.
Love this. Learned how to use it! Mine passed warranty 3 months ago and lucky me the internal hose is buggered
Very nice orientation demonstration Roger. You're the pro at this.
I have the Small Ball Total Clean. It's my favourite vacuum cleaner.
I just unboxed my small ball and your video helped alot.. good job.. and hello from rancho cucamonga california!!
Ivan Carrejo I just unboxed one for my wife, today, across I-15 in Fontana. $5 per person Tuesdays are great at the Victoria Gardens AMC.
Love the fact that you vacuum your name with a hoover
Thank you! Your video is the MOST informative I have found for this Dyson vacuum, and I watched quite a few before your video came up on my list. Have saved in my favorites and subscribed.
I can't wait to see how this tackles your tenacious dog hair. It's been my experience that that's where Dyson brush rolls fail.
I am harvesting a new batch from Daisy.

This is wonderfully helpful.❤
Very informative. I am waiting for my Dyson to arrive and your video will speed up the assembly for me. Good job!!!
5:03 almost full width. the felt/soft strips at the edges is the width or effective area of suction.
I did not expect to watch this whole thing but thank you for taking the time to make this! Very well explained :)
Very good video. Thank you.

really appreciate this just bought one and a women on her own well this sure helped but question top off handle shoots cold air how come
Thank you for a clear and very informative unboxing-very helpful

I will be demonstrating this and a lot of other Dysons in the new year.

Brilliant help since Dyson doesn't see fit to provide intelligible assembly instructions. Thank you
LagansLove Agreed!
Cool i had the v8 for some months

I wish I could get a nearly new model. Dyson Dont seem to do any decent compact uprights anymore.
I'm looking at buying one of these would you reccomend
If you don't necessarily need a bagless, I'd recommend going for a Sebo Felix instead. It will last you longer.

Hairs don’t seem to wrap round the brush on this model as much, but I don’t know about long hair.
@@ibaisaic Thanks! I got the big ball and it works GREAT!!!

i watched all the things for this on dyson's youtube
Hi ibaisaic where did you get the Dyson from
Argos.
Would it work on lino?
Yes, but sometimes it can suck the lino up to the nozzle if it's not stuck down everywhere.
my dyson dc07 is 12yrs old ☺
Whoa! Still working like new? Any issues?
no issues.
Dean Johnson well I don't use my DC04 now in 2001 but hey, I still can use it :D!
Hey There Roger how much was this vacuum
I'm fairly sure I mention how much it cost in the video.
It was mentioned that is was £200 from Agros (UK)
do demo of Dyson small ball

Hi ibaisaic the Dyson v8 is cheap on eBay
I’ve got the animal
not liking the fact it blows dirt around - probably a no from me, I was about to buy one online
I have that vacuum
Keep your reviews over the pond, away from the states.

Carbon Fiber Filaments and Stiff Nylon Bristles
where did you find it for £200
Argos. It's gone up again now though.
seems a lot to pay for c rated pick up on carpet, seems a good vacuum otherwise
Far less than the £1500 for a Kirby Avalir with the same carpet pick up rating.
.. you need driving license to operate this machine

Mmmm
"Let's have a look at the EU"- NOOOOOO

It shouldn’t have cost you anything to replace under the five year guarantee.
