Honestly is the guy that much worse than QBs like Derrick Carr? Fitz was always that guy who would be a starting caliber guy no matter where he went, but wasn't ever good long enough to stay there.
The first year he was on the Jets was the last time they were good. They went 10-6 and he had 3900 pqws yards and 31 TDs. Best season of his career. They had a 1000 yard rusher in Ivory, and two different receivers went over 1000 yards and 12+ TDs. Brandon Marshall's best season statistically

Always fun when there was a boring middle of the season Sunday and then you see a random highlight reel of Fitzpatrick leading his (always new) team to an improbable win! Hard to root against such a fun dude.
He was one of those QBs that was always a thorn in the side of Tom Brady, alongside Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, and Ryan Tannehill. Thank you for your service Fitz. We will miss you.

2:47 This play is still unfathomable. How the hell he made such an accurate throw while almost getting his neck snapped I have no idea.
It's definitely a great play but it looks like his throw is actually restricted by the facemask which is why it kind of hangs up in the air. This just happened to lay it perfectly over the corner and under the safety.
I refer to that play as " blinded by Sin City one of the most incredible passes I've ever seen he couldn't even see where he was throwing but still made the completion
Mahomes is the only other guy that I can think of that could do something like that

Everyone knows Fitz as the fun to watch qb with alot of humor especially amongst his teammates. He wasnt the best but certainly one of the most fun and charasmatic qbs during our time. Man even graduated from Harvard
I would've picked either one of the TDs from the one time he beat Brady in Buffalo or the 98-yarder to TO, the latter for the almost oxymoron of "Long bomb from Fitzpatrick". But yeah, I'd love it if they give him an exhibit at the Hall of Fame for a season with all his jerseys. Call it "The Ultimate Journeyman".

Now what TV show did you hear that word from journeyman? You know what journeyman is it's a quarterback that no one wants because he's not a starter.
@@castortroysfaceoffsportsca9012 a Journeyman QB is a QB that you get when you need a backup or someone to fill in till you Draft a QB. In that sense Fitz did his job well and time and time again somehow managed to stay in a league dor 17 years. A league, based on other Journeyman players we've seen, that should've gotten rid of him 10 years ago. You can't knock the man's legacy.
He was just one of those likable QBs you rooted for no matter who he played. Even if it was against your team.

“He’s pretty good but he’s inconsistent” is something you can say about a million NFL QB that have lost their job because inconsistency, but not Ryan Fitzmagic.
Fitzmagic loses his job. Then wins, gets paid, and then does it again. What a chad for finding a loophole in the QB system into getting paid despite having half the talent as most qbs. He will be missed in the NFL. Fitzmagic was the definition of average dude having the time of his life getting paid to chuck balls for entertainment. I love that dude lol.

NFL needs to do something special for Fitz in the 1st game of this upcoming season. That has to be a record for amount of years starting for a 6th rounder. I don't even remember he played for the Bengals and the Titans. He probably wished he could've played for his hometown Cardinals.

Today I learned Fitz played for the Rams and threw a TD to Issac Bruce. What a career this guy had!
week 17 '19 season. fitz throws the late td pass at pats to beat tommy boy (in what would be last reg. season home start) and sends pats into wild card round where titans handle pats the following week in pretty tommy's last pat start. Also threw a jets record 31 td passes in '15 season.

The only nfl game I ever went to in person was the 2015 patriots-jets game. As a patriots fan we kinda handed them that win with giving them the ball first in OT. But of course the only game I go to is the last time the patriots lost to the jets.
