As someone who was at the game Andrew retired at, it was a surreal experience, the whole stadium was almost silent for the entire third and fourth quarter.

Not on his part but on how football and competitors work. Later on Calvin Johnson retired what seemed early as well. These people don't owe it to the fans to play as long as the fans want them around. They owe it to themselves to play as long as they can bear it. The Lions couldn't replace either Calvin Johnson or Barry Sanders either and to boo them is just whining. How self-centered. The idea it took so long for Luck or Sanders was possibly that it was a very difficult and painful decision to make. These players literally owe these fans nothing. The only thing that is owed is the fans owing these players gratitude. Sometimes what these players leave on the field can't be compensated by a check.

Every year we go to a Pats game, and I wanted to go to that KC game, but couldn't because I had finals that week. Glad I didn't go not because they lost, but because it was one of the very few times I heard the atmosphere at Gillette was unpleasant.

I was at both of the Eagles games in the video. The Patriots game was brutal, there was booing from the start of the game to the end of the game with “Fire Andy” chants throughout the game. Especially at the end.

I went to the Jets destruction of the Raiders at MetLife last year. It took everything in me not to boo. I just sat there staring like an elementary school teacher who lost permanent control of her demon kids. It took us three hours to get to the game. Two trains and about ten miles of walking through the cold, 40-degree rain. Only to watch that. Mind you, I go to about one game every three years. So I was not pleased. But I’m proud of myself for not booing. I did make plenty of sarcastic comments under my breath, but those were only for me.

I like to believe that when a fanbase boos their own team, it's mostly out of love for that team. They expect more out of them. For example, I'm an Eagles fan and the way they play sometimes frustrates the hell out of me. Eagles fans know they can play way better then they do and booing them is just our way of letting them know. There's no hard feelings. I'm not saying it's right or anything, just saying how it is

I was at the GA Dome when Matt Ryan was hurt and the Eagles had picked up Vick but he wasn't starting. We were losing really bad and the whole stadium started chanting his name and they actually put him in and the crowd went nuts.
