Do you have an email. Love the videos and information. I’m trying to get connected to people in Texas and or my city of Abilene Texas. I see drivers in other states being advocated for with regards to pay and other issues . Bud what about drivers in texas?
Do you have an app to track incoming flights at the airport. I am tired of waiting 2 1/2 to 3 hours for a return trip. I have experienced more than an hour wait with only 6 to 10 cars ahead of me. Dtw airport is 30 miles away. I can't afford to wait for return trips. Thanks Steven
In this video, Jay portrays himself as some sort of huge critic of Uber. Let's rewind to 2020: Jay told drivers to vote Yes on Prop 22 in California, a new law written by Uber, Lyft, Doordash and Instacart and backed by $220 million dollars spent by those companies. Uber would've paid a million dollars for an endorsement like that, Jay gave it to them for free. Of course driver pay would go down when you hand the keys to Uber and give them complete control of everything with no rules and no oversight.
@sergioSMTMC1 hey Sergio, do you have a way I can send you a video attachment of confirm your account BS. Jay "visual" reminded me of it. I think you guys will enjoy it
Lyft’s “Rides Available on Map” has got us scratching and clawing for rides and our eyes off the road. It’s BS. Go back to the old way of closest driver gets it. I need to keep my eyes on the road. Damn you, Lyft Bro’s!
I agree if any tech from Lyft reads @JOHNCole comment you tell us not to text and drive but now your distracting us while driving tryig to tap for this ride near by very distracting .
Don’t know why even the most experienced rideshare drivers still measure their success by $ per hour goal, a W2 mentality. Consider a more useful measure of success, monthly P&L. Gross sales less expense will tell you how much you really made (or Lost)
Jay, you'd be lucky to make $1000 a week doing those same hours today. It's so much worse. Quests are 1ike $15-20 for 40 rides. It's a joke and the overall pay is worse. And maybe 1 petson in 25 will tip. It's a different world for rideshare.
Sally, you may not see this, but I'll give it a shot. Jay has written a number of terrific articles on talking with passengers and I did one also about a year ago. I'm going to leave you my website address and if you contact me through it I will send you what I have. If not-here's a quick summary of my long article: You can improve your tip percentage, but understand that many riders do not ever tip, so it is not you, it's them. Keep track of what your real number of tips are out of 100 rides and track them daily to see your progress. Give the very best ride you can, every time. What can you do to make your ride better? Give riders something different. Be aware of who tips and who doesn't. If I give 25 rides in the day, I count during the day, how many did I have a decent shot at getting a tip from. If it's only 5, I know I'm not getting 10 or more tips. I've averaged over 10 tips a full day of driving for three years. Good luck if you read this. jeffonthesunnyside.com
It wont end becasue of the desperate non educated drivers. I dont mean that as a insult, but the simple truth. uberx order 23 minutes total, 10.5 miles. Drop off is in dead zone. Pay is 4.25 cents and uber eats 30 minutes, 12 miles, food order is going to a highrise apt building. Pay is 4.75 WITH WITH expected tip lol. shall we break these orders down. Gas/time/wear and tear/apt building headache. So you just basically accpeted these orders and after deductions you are now working for approximately 6.50/hr..........Hows that make you feel? unfortunately when the ping goes off, drivers that cant do math just hear that ping and see money, DOESNT matter if its losing money, but its money. So this will continue to happen, uber and lyft exploit the hell out of drivers becasue they know more than half the drivers take any and everything, so why bother to pay them more. Its called INADVERTANTLY takeing advantage of people. Immigration is going nice and strong, so the fares will stay nice and low
Driver with 20,500 rides here. The good: you can pick your hours. The bad: everything else (pay, no benefits, no respect, no paid time off, ruin your car, and the list goes on)
Dont really know this ride share thing. But I myself drive for uber. Been doing this less than a year. Who you guys have your own show. When do you have the time to do it. But who exactly sponsors you. And do you guys still drive. Anyway the newest video from you guys. Is something about uber not taking customers complaints as Bible. So some people have been basically fired or suspended. This is an important subject. But uber and their lawyers arent exactly stupid. Just money hungry like good American company. Since we work for our self. They have other ways. You seem to be missing the point. If read. And asked. Would not mind to lend my facts.
Nice Video , I'm driving alot less, and trading options, I try to balance the time, setting up weekl goals,, I agrre with Jay so many scammers out there claiming, there Gurus on trading, thanks Jay n Sergio,
A change is gonna come you guys never get it. I don’t think you ever will get it. You have too many people on the platform and Uber and Lyft know it and they are taking a vantage of people just way to the 6,000,000 immigrants start driving rideshare it’ll get worse. It’s only gonna get worse before it gets better but you guys are doing a good job of what you’re doing with some of these things do not benefit the driver, the lying that roars the loudest usually gets his way with a sugarcoat too many things I can go on and on like I normally do like a loose cannon but there’s pros and cons to everything the basic facts is you’re dealing with a corporation that only wants to pay what it wants to pay and they will be holding money forever and ever and ever they come and they go I’ve seen it for the last 4 1/2 years. Uber works for me. someday people will learn how to work the system you’re a cherry picker. I am a hard worker. I work a system to my advantage and you know that and I know that but it’s really hard to explain sometimes how to work the system if we had a lot less complaining and a lot less arguing about the job and why is it mileage could be so difference between all the systems you need a flat rate that benefits everybody what’s wrong with $1.38 a mile why does it have to keep changing and going lower it should never go lower. It should always be working except to the top. That’s one of the main questions you need to ask why does it become an issue trying to get more money for each mile but have a good one man time to rant and rave. Great interview tell Chris to tighten up.
Your comment about immigrants is uncalled for. The reality is you guys are trying to Americanize a system to support your I’ll advised spending habits. @@lucasdavis2233 I guarantee it take more than a generation there’s all big government and also corporations that wanna let people into United States undocumented so they can vote for them so corporations just keep taking advantage of people because you make $50 a week in some foreign country you come over here and you make $1500 a week that’s a win-win situation and you can’t hold anything against anybody that’s trying to do better for themselves.
