Been driving for 9 years here in Phoenix/Scottsdale and never have got a dashcam yet. And like this lady you are interview, I am extremely good at reading people. I cancel rides on the spot at pickup if I do not like what I see.... All in all, in 9 years I have only had to 86 one passenger out of my vehicle.
I am a women driver also here in Phoenix and Scottsdale for 4 years and I Love it people in Arizona are amazing. I've also have only had to report one person.
Shes wonderful. I’m a female driver in Denver, 9.5 years, and a business owner…same as her I’ll always do ride share. Right now I’m full time for the first time to fund my business which closed during Covid. Dash cam - I just got a 3-channel Vantrue setup and it’s less than $300, and I feel a lot safer. Hope you have her on again, she’s a real gem, a shining example of work ethic which can be in short supply as we are isolated as independent contractors…my take away from her is why I do it, I’m getting money, cherry-picking and only taking rides that meet my standard!
8 years she is a Vet for sure! Obviously committed and doing a good job to not even realize Atlanta is one of the worst cities. Proof if you provide a good service even in a bad market you can do well! I heard Sergio say he is talking with REVO CEO today. Hope to see that live stream or at least a video after.
Wow Dione you are rockin the ATL and we hope your other business sky rockets far above the sky. Thanks for the tips and publish a book about rideshare soon
Send her a webcam. Surely you guys have some laying around from previous tests. Now, I don't know what XL pays, but it better be fantastic to do it in an Armada. Those things have to cost $5-$10 in fuel alone per hour. And she bought it new 3 years ago so I hate to think of the depreciation on that at 140k miles. Maybe she actually bought a used one? I hope. ATL is a terrible paying market (compared to the rest of the US), but you can make money working the right times and places. The full time driver here, though, is challenged unless they're really willing to work early am and late night weekends. If you're not, good luck.
I’m a female driver for 5 years. It does get scary. lol. I’m in S Florida. I start at 4:30 am 7 days a week. Some days are good, some are not. I’m in a Nissan Rogue. You are a great lady! Thanks for telling us about your experience… Tips are not good here for some reason.
@sergioSMTMC1 Sergio, why didn't you pin this lovely lady's beauty supply store website to this video? or add it into the information section of this video? I wanted to support her small business by buying from her.
I like to do the rides to and from work and then I pick up some late nights as people are going back to work so I could not see myself getting up at 3:30 and four to start my day but I have noticed doing Uber and left about midday it really tends to slow down
I just purchased a car under my business name, I do uber a little but medical courier the most but definitely track your miles and depreciation, write off car
If we’re independent contractors, why are we penalized with the lower acceptance rate or driving score? If we decline a ride I also have both apps and sometimes I forget to turn one off while I’m in the middle of another app ride so of course I’m skipping that ride, I wish Uber would let us, where we were picking up and dropping off instead of just where we were picking up
Trust me I’m hyper focused on the screen with video game reflexes. I think drivers are using third party apps to automatically accept rides or the algo just hates me. I can be on top of the ride and somebody else will get it. The 85 ride challenge was worth 300 bucks. Usually you can bust it out fast if you do USC shared rides but even those rides weren’t showing up. It’s been a very discouraging week.
Wow TH-cam took off my comment about how many registered sx offenders there are in Los Angeles. Idk if you read it but on the citizen app there’s a feature to show the location of each one on the map. It’s staggering to think how many of them can be driving for Uber and Lyft. I’m all for your legislation push.
Alots changed in two years since youve driven . Were dying out here .. my best lesson is never rely on lyft or uber as fulltime income to pay rent .. Get a w2job
Everyone is scared of them taking away the flexibility they will not take away the flexibility they still need to still make a profit and Dara and David wants that bonus
I totally disagree with her about the whole just deal with it and all the regular employees etc. I mean I get it yes we don’t want to be employees but they shouldn’t have the right to take our funds! When they aren’t providing the vehicles, paying our gas, insurance etc. if you are an employee all that would be covered as well so people wouldn’t have a problem! I hate how ignorant some plp are a swear it’s why cooperations can treat plp this way nowadays 😢

Thank you all for allowing me to share my experience ❤
Man I love her. There isn’t anything better than a sweet woman with a southern accent

Congrats Dionne, love hearing the positivity. Keep it up.
She is right on about rideshare and life. Great lady

I truly enjoyed listening to her story! I only do deliveries and enjoy it. So it was a breath of fresh air to hear that she enjoys what she does✨💕

She’s fantastic. Thanks so much for sharing Dionne with us! All the best!
Such a wonderful positive entrepreneurial attitude with a veteran driver’s expertise and pragmatism! 👍🚙
I'm a female driver in Baltimore, MD. I used to drive all night. I don't do that anymore, but I still drive late night. Usually until the bars close.
Wow Dione you are rockin the ATL and we hope your other business sky rockets far above the sky. Thanks for the tips and publish a book about rideshare soon
Phoenix AZ has to many cars on the roads the money is just not working anymore...
I like her. She’s very energetic and goal oriented
Send her a webcam. Surely you guys have some laying around from previous tests.

It's not a webcam u mean dashcam
Correct.
She purchased it new. She said it had 200 miles on it when she received it, and that's due to transport.

Thanks!

I like to do the rides to and from work and then I pick up some late nights as people are going back to work so I could not see myself getting up at 3:30 and four to start my day but I have noticed doing Uber and left about midday it really tends to slow down

She's on point make that money fast
My rideshare funds my business too
Hey Sergio how’s that Lyft ride challenge going ? 😂
@sergioSMTMC1 I just kept getting ride no longer available when tapping on the map. I was able to only get 24 rides for that challenge.
Trust me I’m hyper focused on the screen with video game reflexes. I think drivers are using third party apps to automatically accept rides or the algo just hates me. You got to talk about the money more
ok, another typical Sergio interview. Waste of time.
Love it! Teach the 6 babies to be smart, have strong work ethic, and have a positive mind set! 🫶
