    For a man that is over 50 years old, Sam knows his way around in a fight. He's like the Tom Cruise of video game spy characters, if that makes sense. Speaking of which, have you ever done videos on Ethan Hunt, or James Bond?

      Kal_g he hasn’t done on them yet but he’s done John wick, solid snake himself the winter soldier and blade. Also yeah even in his old age he’s still one man you don’t mess with, but he’s also one man that makes a great friend and family member.

      Considering that Splinter Cell was designed to be a counter-image to the Metal Gear series. It makes sense. Instead of a young and handsome war hero with issues. You get an old yet highly trained commando with a detached mindset in regards to killing.
      Instead of outlandish plots. You get mostly plausible ones.
      Instead of being filled with angst and horrors about war themes. It's a dark and gritty thriller novel focusing on the tense atmosphere of a mission.

The first time i had seen the BTS footage of him doing motion-capture work, i've been deeply inspired to observe his skill further (and self-train some of the moves he uses for self defense purposes).
    Then i noticed he has a TH-cam channel of his own, in which one of his videos is actually dedicated to SC: Blacklist. He even trains people Sam's varietal fighting system and technique as it turns out.

    Whilst it's true high kicks are riskier unless you're very experienced, another reason they don't feature heavily in the military is that soldiers are often unbalanced and weighed down with a lot of equipment. Try performing a round house kick in a plate carrier, webbing and 50lb rucksack lol. In situations like these your best bet is to grapple in such a way that you can safely get the opponent into a position where your nearest backup man can put rounds through him. Also I'd honestly kill for a pair trousers that allows one to full squat and round house kick without rucking them up at the knees before every task, you can do it baggy military combats sure but literally anything else is a pain in the ass.

      @@GodzillarexIt took 3 years for me to rediscover this video and find out I left a comment that you actually replied to...
      So while it's 3y too late I remember it was based on that front attack (well in game attack) where player has pistol in hand. Opponent's hand with weapon is pulled to player's side with left hand while with right hand player punches guy in face then with elbow in throat...
      In my case my attacker didn't have a weapon, it was just fist, but I moved it same way and with my right arm I punched him in face then elbowed in middle of the chest (that solar plexus area). He was on the ground in a second catching breath while I could back off and THEN teacher intervened. Ofc to all known bully had only finger waved at him, while I got suspended for a week.

      Good to see around again! I'm glad you got a chance to defend yourself in such a cool way, and I'm sorry they decided to make an example out of you instead of him. It reminds me of when I asked my Taekwondo master to show me his best self defense move for someone pushing you. So I did and he stepped out of the way at the right time and that was it. He then told me that in a real world situation the best thing you can do is just step away and run if you can, that if you stay and fight and know what you're doing, you will almost always end up being blamed.

    I hope the next secret agent on the channel is Jason Bourne from the films. While it’s established that the bulk of Bourne’s moves are Jeet Kune Do and Kali unarmed combat, elements of Boxing, Ninjutsu ( unarmed holds and other techniques) and even Krav Maga ( it’s been emphasized that the main art born uses is not Krav Maga, but in 3 and 4 he uses disarms and improvised weapons I’ve seen I’m my own Krav Maga classes. )

    • @Godzillarex
      @Godzillarex  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      He's almost 100% Kali according to the stunt coordinator. Maybe he has a teeny bit of improvised Krav Maga, but remember that Kali has actually been incorporated into many versions of Krav Maga, so his main style still remains Kali. I took Krav Maga too as well though! It's a great style.

It's nothing groundbreaking, story line could be longer, sooner or later it becomes Ubisoft classic aka couple good ideas repeated ad nauseam, but fighting and post apocalypse atmosphere are good. If 8/10 is a standard for good game, I'd give it 7/10, not a waste of time, but it lacks something.

    I did 5 years Karate (till blue belt) , 1 year muay-thai (4 hours per week). But Karate never really served me other than in discipline, muay thai was a good base especially in practical low and high kicks and knees. Now im looking to start Krav Maga but all the classes i found were extremely focused on boxing (which I already sort of did in muay thai), anyway I live in Uruguay and martial arts teachers are kind of mediocre :(
