I think they've probably lost more players' money because of this issue that has been ongoing for about 8 years. I have seen tons of people complaining about this for years on forums all over the internet and social media and most of them declared they are completely done with the game and moving on. So I doubt Ubisoft would just let this issue slide.
The servers would be dead and if they’re not dead the lobbies itself would just be either really high skill gap players… could just give them a grace period “if you are caught using a spoofer within the next week you’re banned for x amount”
Or, and hear me out on this, flag their accounts so that they can't earn MMR while spoofing, on top of increasing their latency. Really cut the legs out from under them.
@Astral Ascendance they just make new accounts or buy ones from hackers. The way that Ubi announced they were handling it, as well as my proposed method, will frustrate the cheaters out. They'll either stop cheating, or they'll stop playing altogether, either way, it'll eventually have an effect for the better on the community still playing this game legitimately.

If a player is using M&K on console through spoofing, and they play ranked, every match they play should be a zero MMR situation, on top of the increasing latency that the Ubi devs announced. They, and their team, can't gain MMR from wins and the opposing team can't lose MMR from losses. Though if the M&K player's team loses, they still lose rank, and the other team, without an M&K player, gains rank.

@@samrogers1055 no not really, they just want to retain player base and keep the money coming ig, but if the lag builds up on multiple matches and is not noticeable at first, and gets reset slowly by them using the controller couldn’t players just do 2 things (if they’re dedicated to do it) 1) They can use MNK on only important matches rather than all matches as the lag will probably be unnoticeable in just a single match 2) they can play a game with mnk, then go play unranked or quick play with controller to reset their penalties and then back to ranked with mnk Unlikely the second will happen as it’s so much time waste but I feel like the 1st option is certainly plausible to players. I feel like a better solution would be to either ban them as soon as it’s detected or alternatively they could make it so they can’t queue up for ranked but they can play other gamemodes if they like, a more lenient option could be to cut their ranked mmr gains or something.
Ubi gotta learn some stuff from Valve, this week’s massive ban wave was actually insane. Xim is just gonna update their settings not banning was a mistake…

@@Kyl0-Ren no, Xbox detects the zen/xim as a 3rd party controller, but it’s actually just spoofing as that to use mnk on console. There’s no way they can get past this, only an official Xbox controller or actual 3rd party controller can get past this. There’s also little jerky movements you can only do on mnk, which the game would obviously detect very easily. AND THEN there’s the obviousness of moving with WASD, you’re only moving 8 analog directions. It’s actually extremely easy to detect mnk, Ubisoft just doesn’t want to lose it’s already declining console playerbase so they waited until they got severe backlash to implement even just a fix for this. However it’s still safe to say mnk spoofers won’t be able to get passed this anytime soon.

its gotta be queue locked , meaning you get penalised in ranked then you have to play ranked without using mnk and only then youd decrease the penalty , meaning you cant just hop into quick matches

I played this game from December of 2015 till around January of 2017. When I finally hit plat I was getting dumpstered so bad i was really thinking about taking my game and buying a mouse and keyboard. Thankfully I didn’t. Started playing again 2022 in July and still enjoy this game. I will be incredibly happy if this mouse and keyboard ban comes to fruition.
What absolute nonsense, don't try to be "innovative" if you're going to go halfway with it. 7,14 and 31 day ban once detected, khallas. It is a game on a controller console, be strict or it's going to continue. Devs have no more brains than what little xim players have.

Better coding, 2 controllers, playing ranked with mnk then cas with controller, and maybe more. This will not eliminate it. They need to just ban them, they lose all progress and have to restart. Over a year later and xim has spread like the plague in Xbox lobbies you can’t hit gold 3 without dealing with obvious cheaters every single round, not to mention the matchmaking for ranked is so scuffed. I hit emerald this season but the grind to reach it was disgusting I get paired with Hellen Keller and Stevie wonder meanwhile the enemy team has champs and diamonds 🤦🏼♂️😂
You could also just reduce mmr and make them only play with other spoofers so it’s fair for everyone, or you could do a big gamer move, just make it so when they shoot, theres a 30 second delay. 😺

I think I've played more people on mnk this season, than any other season. It's ridiculous, almost every ranked match I've played today had someone using mnk. They should just be banned.
“It would’ve been easy for us to ban all those players” but instead let’s do our usual Ubisoft thing and make a program that is probably in the next season or whatever and have it actually work in season 10 when our console players most likely stopped playing the game. Honestly this could be cool, it's a great concept to basically make fake cheats that punish the cheater. Two ideas to help get ppl to STOP using xim. 1. Make it so when the input is detected they immediately get kicked from matches. 2. Make it so when the input is detected these people can't do any damage.

@@gabe2up if you have a controller plugged in use it in prep faze then switch back around 20 seconds into round or just don’t move for the prep faze and 20-30 secs
There are many ways to detect spoofing at this point, but those ways are quite resource-consuming. If they find behavioral pattern though - it becomes extremely easy. The game itself gives you some patterns (usually higher ranks, similar in-game settings etc.)

You do realize that consoles support MnK, and they have since the Xbone and PS4 days, right? And the only reason why Ubi doesn't support it in their games is because it would take slightly more work to implement, so they just ban it. When has Ubisoft ever put in real effort to fix any of their online games?

Input spoofing is an issue in a lot of console shooters, not just r6, if mousetrap system actually works, then ubi would be leading the pack in anti-spoofing efforts on console. No other games, at least that I know of, has managed to develop an anti cheat that can tackle XIMs and the like. So it's just absolutely braindead to claim adding mnk support would be less work than developing mousetrap. If ubi didn't want to put in the work they'd have implemented mnk or more likely just ignored the issue.

Lmao, the scripts just added SAB (Simulated Analouge Behaviour) to bypass it. No clue why but I keep getting mouse trapped even though I'm ONLY controller. The anticheat is shit in R6

Over a year later and xim has spread like the plague in Xbox lobbies you can’t hit gold 3 without dealing with obvious cheaters every single round, not to mention the matchmaking for ranked is so scuffed. I hit emerald this season but the grind to reach it was disgusting I get paired with Hellen Keller and Stevie wonder meanwhile the enemy team has champs and diamonds 🤦🏼♂️😂

Console isn’t crossplay with pc and probably won’t be because of certain features missing, besides this encompasses more than just mnk anyone spoofing means also other modded controllers
@@Cruixiathere isn't any features missing. There's a bug that you CAN play with consoles(only in customs), you just have to have a console playing the game.

I think I've played more people on mnk this season, than any other season. It's ridiculous, almost every ranked match I've played today had someone using mnk. They should just be banned.

“It would’ve been easy for us to ban all those players” but instead let’s do our usual Ubisoft thing and make a program that is probably in the next season or whatever and have it actually work in season 10 when our console players most likely stopped playing the game. To be honest that is just my prediction for what I think about this issue where they are going to spend a lot of time creating a solution just for it to not even matter in the end because mnk will still be a thing if they just had to play on controller for a short time.
Consoles have supported MnK since Xbone and PS4 days. This is just a bullshit change. Just allow MnK in full. If you can't afford $60 for MnK, then wtf are you doing paying for an online subscription that costs the same if you pay for the whole year and even more if you pay monthly.

Honestly this could be cool, it's a great concept to basically make fake cheats that punish the cheater. ScriptKid does it with cs:go dude is a genius for the shit that he comes up with, and gets the cheaters killed constantly, then the program sends the footage to his computer so he can use the clips and expose the cheaters
The ximmies gonna play 3 ranked on xim until it’s “barely noticeable” then casuals until it’s normal again
So instead of banning people, you want matches to be practically theown because one of your teammates has a large disadvantage.

Two ideas to help get ppl to STOP using xim.
1. Make it so when the input is detected they immediately get kicked from matches.
2. Make it so when the input is detected these people can't do any damage.

There not banning Xim they can use other devices Plus Xim Got a Update They Cant Detect It.
There are many ways to detect spoofing at this point, but those ways are quite resource-consuming.
If they find behavioral pattern though - it becomes extremely easy.
The game itself gives you some patterns (usually higher ranks, similar in-game settings etc.)
