im lvl 400ich.. I block claymores with rook armors, i deny default plant with rook armors, i reveal attacker position with rook armor, now think again where you place your rook armors.
Tip for Frost If you have an elite skin i reccomend to set your gadget skin(frost mat) to default skin , because the chances of getting your bear trap of being spotted will decrease
Other way around. I actually saw people run into my traps because they don't know how the elite one looks. And in some places the elite one blends in more.
depending on where you use them, the elite can actually hide. in a place with more set up destruction or uneven floor, a perfect black rectangle might show off more than a spiked uneven mat favela, yacht, and challet are examples of this. there's so much going that a spiked mat won't be so off compared to the surroundings still, frost gadget was made to be pre-droned. good defenders will put them in places where attackers need to vault in, and good attackers will see it before hand. the mat is made to waste time and/or offset an attacker's aim, so depending on how you play, you actually might want the attackers to see your mat so you can flank them while they're shooting the mat just like most things in siege, your gadget isn't there to kill people, it's there to slow them down. kills are and extra if they're distracted
12:47 God, it feels good to hear someone say that. I was a Maestro main from the point he was released to the point where they added the punch nerf. It seems like anytime I point out that his cams are pretty much useless anymore, people like to pounce on me about it. Like, yeah, he has a good gun but man, the thing I loved most about him was his cams and them being nearly impossible to keep alive longer than 30 seconds into a round AND be useful has really made it frustrating to play him and it's nice to see someone acknowledge that.
He has zero utility anymore. I play a wider range of operators now but Ubisoft ruined all my favorites. Blackbeard was nerfed into the ground, Ela was completely obliterated, Maestro was ruined, and Ash just became “that” pic so I stopped playing all of them. It’s sad because I enjoyed all their weapons and utility pre nerfs. I still to this day no longer touch any of them, truly sad
The problem with wamai is that his gadget takes way to long to build up. After prep phase u have just one magnet, to denial more Utility you need to play him active and to expose you or peek which is dangerous. I think he needs a buff with his magnet
As a Kapkan main, a mistake/tip for your traps is place them at the angle closest to the most common angle on doorways OR on the side of the door that is visually cluttered. Youll have traps go off far more consistently and get picks pretty regulalry if the enemy isnt expecting the traps
Another tip that I've used for kills is to place them slightly further out of site, everybody expects your traps to be on the bomb sites doorways and merely going out of that room and placing them on the next doorway could easily catch them off guard And when doing this they will be pretty far out of your reach so I'd recommend placing 2 traps on each doorway to fully down/kill them automatically. For site doorways I'll just put 1 for Intel purposes so I don't get flanked and die.
Even further yet. You should be placing Kapkans at exterior entry points near spawns. With attackers able to switch ops too often the second the Kap callout happens a Brava gets swapped to. Having those traps on interior doorways can totally lock your team out of site or just catch them off guard as the rotate
Even further tip a good idea from GGO place on trap in a visible spot so it gets shot an they let their guard down for the two on the opposite bottom corner (a trap that you avoid to fall into another)
I‘am a kapkan Main too, a usefull tip is also to Place a kapkan trap in a door BETWEEN the 2 bombs, in Late Game when the attackers are under stress they Never think of them and just push through the doors, even if its dont kill them it will damage them a lot and distract them so you or your mates have an easy Time to kill them. Also you can place Double traps at doors where You’re sure the attackers will come through and get a Safe kill
@@philippweber3950 see I find this risky. Only because mid round if those get Brava'd, you are screwing your team. Obviously they have to run the op but I know I personally swap to Brava the second I see 2 defenders that I can hack the utility of, without question
Tip fir Fenrir: I personally like to hide mine in areas the enemy cant destroy without being exposed and looking away from potential peek points as well as being able to hide the mine under the rubble of destructible objects like desks and generally dont hide the mine in washing machines its better to put it in spots that dont inhibit the range of the circle although there is a couple nasty spots you can achieve using drone holes that can make the intersection of some hallways a living hell.
For Azami, another good option is to place it on the bottom corner of the door. The mantling animation serves a similar purpose to crouching, but it has the added benefit of acting like a static shield, meaning you can crouch behind it and peek around. As always, each have their benefits, but it's good to have more tools in your belt.
the attackers could also use it if they get control of that doorway tho, plus it means they can still stay looking head level when coming in and see you at the same time you see them
@@Dkarm26yea I’ve started using tools closer to the bomb. Deployable shields and other gadgets that attackers can also use can trap you. From the outside looking in, it’s easier to get a frag. That’s why I also hate head holes inside site. With an Acog as attacker, it’s like shooting fish in a barrel
One fun way to play Valkyrie is to utilise her cameras like grenades, whenever you need to check a room toss a camera in and check it or get a dead teammate to check the camera then go in and drop the attacker. You can leave the camera where you threw it or go and pick it up for later.
id use em as flank cams thru out the round as i move around not just site but the whole floor during the round and as ppl die I tell them get on my flank cams easy clutches and kd
Frost mats see a lot of use in pro league, but one mistake I see a lot is placing them in "default" spots, like under the bedroom windows in Clubhouse Gym/Bed. Think about placing your mats along the angles you'd hold as an attacker, think about placing them under rotates you have to vault through, think about stupid places you'd never expect to place a Frost mat. Best mat I've seen recently was actually behind a shield placed on top red on Clubhouse on a Gym/Bed defense. Attackers breached CCTV, defenders immediately fell back, and when Sledge swung CCTV and walked down top red ADSed, the moment he stepped behind the shield he got caught.
Another thing I see very often is people putting down other gadgets on doors with kapkans. Like yeah man, that proximity/barbed wire is really gonna help the team when it gets blown up.
As someone who hasn't play the game in ages this helped get my mind thinking again on how to play right. Biggest issue recently has been forgetting how I used to play my favorite ops so well and with this I can def feel the creative juices flowing again. 10/10 will be back for references
A lot if these tips arent that good in higher ranked. solis is the best anti-drone op and way more useful to your team when used to destroy all drones in the prep phase that hiding away just to get droned out later
Another thing i see a lot of Kapkans not taking into account with their traps is thinking where the attackers would be looking when they enter the doorway. If they are going to most likely look left, then put the trap on the right. Such a simple tip but I've gotten so many more people with them after taking that into account
@@ireallydontknow278 it’s a small thing, but if you’re holding an angle near a hologram and you look drastically different from it, attackers won’t hesitate to shoot you instead of the hologram. if they don’t have the intel to know which is which, it makes you that little bit more effective
@@humbletoadfarmer that is true but most of the time it won't really matter as it's either a dumbass who shoots it because he thinks it's real or them it's a dude who realises what the prisma is and doesn't shoot it hell I'm surprised people even fall for her gadget at this point even with default clothing and everything it's still pretty obvious
Oryx player here, the best prep phase preparation has (for me) always been to open every hatch that I MIGHT use, as well as thinking how that would affect the attackers, as some hatches may be beneficial to have open for the attackers.
With Fenrir I like the use the two inactive gadgets as bait. I put them in the open so defenders shoot them and think their clear till they get caught by the active I’ve got hidden around the corner
Is it really worth the waste of 2 activation codes for one or two successful hits with the last? Or are you implying that they use utility on them, which in that case the guy above me is right
@@psychopiper8224 usually they think like okay this dude is an idiot he put this right in the open and they destroy it and enter the doorway or window and get caught by the active that they can’t see and then you shoot them
@@kingcold2154 I get that. But what I'm saying is: Is it worth the lost info of two other locations for your team (permanently, since 2 destroyed activated gadgets reduces your activation codes to 1)? You're trading valuable and precise intel on two other entry points for a couple frags in one spot at most. It feels like it's throwing the team play in the gutter just to get more kills imo
Tip for Kapkan: If you play roam you can put traps in places where the attackers are most likely to be when not pushing but instead holding an angle. As in, rooms which have good angles on the objectives from OUTSIDE of the objective rooms themselves. I found this to be a very good strategy when playing on Cafe just because of how many rooms there are, especially when playing top floor or kitchen.
After years of hiatus and Call of Duty I tried to play R6 like that game. I picked Thorn as my main because her gun is very accurate and her gadget is very simple. Not thinking about gadgets and just shooting made me a better player than I ever was
Another common mistake of Solis is that, sometimes instead of being an active info character, they'll just camp below a bombsite, waiting for a plant with their impact grenades ready at hand, but not contributing to anything else beyond that. Sure, doing that towards the last minute of the round is fine, but they go do that literally 10 seconds after a round starts, and they just stay there, be active until you don't need to be, yknow?
Third tip for Kaid : Your electoclaws can serve as Drone Denial if you electrify Barbed Wire (Also works with Bandit) If they drone through the electrify barbed wire, the drone gets destoyed, so...
I believe Mozzie really peaks at the last 45 seconds of a round. If he saves a couple of pests, (and lives to that point) he can snatch those last couple of drones that the last attacker(s) uses for a last second recon sweep so you don’t have to change positions while getting pushed.
Thorn is amazing for direction control. Placing her gadgets in spots away from you like in the stairs gives away enemy positions and makes it easier to push them
Its also worth noting that thorn thrives when she has ally utility to pair with her gadget. This is why I run barb wire on her, if you put the barbs ahead where you know enemies will rush into during a push you can have your traps set up in such a way they are now standing on barbs or ela mine and can't just run away.
Frost tip from a main try to put her traps more by doors that people r most likely to swing into but not right in front put it off to the side or something or slightly in a corner for when people who go in a room and just back up for a angle it’s so rare for me to see others use this it’s crazy
Advice for Kapkan, Ela and Goyo as I main them Ela: I do 2 playstyles 1:The aggressive ambush, Place a mine around an entry and hide, once it goes off, ambush them 2: the cautious anchor, place the mines around entries and/or close to the objective, once the enemy starts making their moves, be ready for them. Bonus points if you put them next to each others' area, one's area ends and the other one's continues so when an attacked triggers one, they'll trigger the next one and the other one, slowing them down. Clutched a game like that once Kapkan: 3 playstyles 1: the slapstick, put one mine in a window or door then the next one by the door of said window (e.g in Skyscraper) 2: the true defender, put most by the objective's entries 3: Work with Goyo, place your mine and have a Goyo place his Volcan by the wall, gives the enemy a double whammy. Mine goes off and the Volcan follows Goyo Place your volcans by windows, as low as possible. Should give vaulting attackers a surprise if they break twice and choose to vault and the Kapkan thing.
Thank you so much for you tips and tricks! You’ve helped me so much, I started playing siege in January and thanks to your help I hit plat 1 today! Thank you 🙏 ❤
First off, Im very happy that the algorithm brought you to me. I think its cool to see someone else using suppressors! Second, the only tip I disagree with is Valk. I think nowadays its often more useful to actually have your cams on site with full view of the objectives. Often times, it comes down to very few attackers versus very few defenders. Those attackers are more worried about the potential defenders than the cams. It hurts to have someone insta-lock valk and the cams are either gone or still up watching places that aren't even relevant to the defense.
I was told that if you were exposed to Fenrir's gadget at all then you always get the full blindness effect, no matter how long you were exposed to it. It just has to activate in the first place.
Sometimes, you can put as much effort into a video as you like and it just won't appear In people's feed I trust that being transparent that people understand how important they are as the viewer helps me and allows me to do more
Small tip for mira, use your shotty to shoot out the general area on the wall you want to deploy the window before reinforcing (or after, from the other side) this will give you a slightly wider degree of vision by removing some rubble
The lesion mistake isn’t exclusive to lesion mines either. I see so many people placing barbed wire in a way that might as well be useless because it doesn’t actually warn anyone in time
A strategy I liked back when I played the game was to use Lesion and Kapkan gadgets in "weird/unpredictable" places and then use either the gadget's mechanic or sound to give their locations to the team's roamer, or roam myself and attack them from the back
Mute is still(despite being made a chunky boy now) fast enough to get along the top floor in Oregon. Place the first jammer on the doorway in white stairs as you did in your clip. Then run to the freezer stairs and place it outside at the top of the steps. Reason you put it outside is if you don't a drone can hug the wall and sneak by the radius and spot the bomb and any operators running through site. Last one I put down before wall denial is near the drone hole between bedroom and site. He can get all three, then go reinforce closet wall, and make a couple rotate holes before the round begins. Once the round starts I pick up the drone hole jammer and take it with me to double-window put it under the window to prevent droning from outside. Unless the attackers throw them far into the room they can't use them from the outside.
@@PrinceIsot I think he is very good, but damn that 1.5 nerf really hurt. Because of the nerf he is now map dependend😭 Ubi should nerf meta op like azami or solis... And why my boy Oryx as a 1.5 defender and not Warden for example or Mozzi. PS: think they didn't nerft Mozzi, Iana or Warden because they have elite skins and Ubi doesn't wan't to lose money. I am sure they are also to lazy to change Solis or Azami because it would take a rework 😔)
My favorite thing with Tachanka, using him to open the tiny bit of softball above reinforcements, put a proxy alarm above a reinforcement. Then watch the attackers try to plant and to their terror, the red rain falls from above
I like placing thorns at the bottom of popular windows. When they jump in they usually get slowed by something else like a razorwire + bandit, or get fenrir'd before noticing the thorn about to blow up. Mostly works for low elo tho, because high elo will just drone the window out
With Mozzie, I think its a lot more beneficial to hunt and shoot drones than it is to pre place all 3. I’ll usually pre place one or two and keep the other(s) to hunt a drone. Pretty much always guarenteed one
Mira on external breachs can be useful. Not as an intel gatherer, but as breach denial. It's not uncommon to se pros and champions defending CCTV on Club with Mira as you can just impact the open mirror to deny a full breach. Yes, the attackers would be able to see inside, but wouldn't be able to get inside the bomb. Of course it's just useful in the rare cases of bombs that the exterior breach is the main way inside the bomb.
The Mira strat putting her gadget on outside walls is HUGE! It can be used to stop a hard breach by opening it up, then use that hole to impact trick any attempt to open it up. Pros use that strat. Can't believe this guy is talking it down lmao
With Kapkan, I find if you place the trap’s opposite to where the defender would peak you’re more likely to get a kill. Like defender is going through bull room on outback and in the office area theyd peak left to clear the room, place it on the lower right since they’re less likely to see it since their attention would be on clearing the room
Another thing for Oryx players, as I have been one recently. Use your extreme mobility to appear on opposite sides of the map faster than anyone expects. When you are Cash Club House, noone expects you to appear Main Stairs in Basement 15 seconds later. For those who play Spas-12, use it to fake a peek and instead jump down a hatch and hold an angle they wont expect downstairs. Your main enemy is intel, as if they have 1 or 2 useful drones around your roam areas, they'll hear or see you before you can jump up or down a hatch.
In addition to the Kaplan tip, put your trap opposite of the line of sight the attacker would have if they were holding an angle on a door. If you know they’ll be seeing the left side of the door from a distance, put the trap on the bottom right. That way they’ll have to 1) use a gadget 2) expose themselves to get it or 3) not see it entirely and take the damage.
Tip for kapkan place 2 of your entry denials at feet level and then put a barricade on the opposite side of that doorway then destroy the barricade with the destroy button, it hides them more easily
I use lesions gu mines mainly for the sound ques. For example in Oregon in bunks site B I will stand on a peak at window with a gu mine at the doorway right behind me and at 2/3 up stairs outside of site A so if I hear one activate and footsteps stop I go for a kill while still hold back incase I can't kill them.
19:13 for mute I’ve learned to ALWAYS keep one jammer with you (unless there’s lots of site entries) so you can place one down near teammates if they need it (like if dokibai is calling or Deimos is tracking)
alibi main here. since you didnt give much tip on alibi i can say how i play alibi. I like to roam with alibi. obviously if we already have a roamer I wont, but alibi is an excellent roamer. her gun is top tier with little horizonal recoil, and her gadget allows her to get the edge in many battles. I usually sit off site and flank like normal but if you're in a fight, you can throw an alibi down and sit next to it, so when they quick peek it, they'll see the alibi first and shoot it, then you have them pinged and you can swing for the kill. if you can believe it, fake alibi still works in 2023 (i cant believe it either), if in a 1v1 and you have an alibi down that they've shot, you can stand in the alibi (and this is the part i see so many people do wrong) unless you're in cas, DONT just sit there. It doesn't work anymore where they'll just walk past you and all that, but they'll think about it for a split second and THEN shoot. SO that 1 second that they have to think about it, you get the advantage. It doesn't work nearly every time, but the amount of times i've been on a roam about to die and i get the kill because they had to think for a split second instead of just shooting is astounding.
addition to kapkan... think of where the attackers might comefrom and how the gonna aim into the room threw the trapped door... and you place it where its the most inconvinient and also the most likely not to be seen... not just the bottom
Keep in mind that mute is more than just drone denial. Jammers can stop hard breaches, fuze charges, and a lot of intel ops. It may be useful to place or move jammers to windows, walls, or even common holding positions.
For Azami, I place Kiba barriers just at the 5 second left mark during prep phase on the top of doorways with the addition of barbed wires, not only you force attackers to crouch and destroy the barbed wires which leaves them very exposed if they do or if they have utilities they may be forced to use it.
I remember that on Tower (yes I played QM) and I was Thorn and I either do two of the following: 1) put a thorn on each side of the elevator and one at the front of it. 2) put a thorn up on the ceiling of the floor right above the elevator.
Maestro getting slept on once again. The Evil eyes, while being power crept, are still good. The Alder is such a dangerous gun, no recoil, fast fire rate large mag size allows him to win way more gun fights.
As kapkan, you should also place a trap where the attackers won't be looking while they're approaching. What I mean by that is, for example, attackers lean/peek right on the door into that money room in club house. Place the trap/traps on the left side so they don't see them. This can be applied almost everywhere. Also, most windows shouldn't be trapped.
It is fun to play Cav AFTER getting scanned by Jackal though. You can time each Silent Step a moment before the scan and it just DOESN'T scan you. So I love making them go on a wild goose chase based off the first scan, lol
I use maestro on defense and yeah the cams are weak but still super annoying when you’re being pushed by a team that doesn’t have anything for them or if you catch the brava drones
the rook one i always do everytime i pick him cause i play with friends and we all collectively share 1 braincell so soon as round starts there's at least one of us that always yells out "ARMOR"
tip for clash, you have like a 1 second grace period after putting your shield down. if you shock before and then take the shield down, you have enough time to take out an enemy. but just know if there’s more than one person, there’s no point in taking down your shield. you’ll just get destroyed
For Lesion I like to put a trap at the top and bottom of stairs, it's a little excessive but the first one alerts defenders when they hit it and the second one will either get shot and you will hear it out you will hear it go off and already be ready for the fight since the first one went off. I've been mostly defending as him unless someone takes him because he works well with other trap defenders. Although if no one is playing another trap defender I will probably play Doc or Wamai.
I found that thorn razor blooms work best when you pair them up with a friends motion sensor. Cause especially for new players they hear the motion detector go off and get scared and run. But a more confident play is going to hear it look to shoot it and then they die to a razorbloom. Or they stay calm and see if someone is gonna peek the motion detector and they die to a razor bloom. Another thing that works sometimes is placing a bunch of barber wire down then place the bloom in the wire. They operator will try to melee the wire take to long and die to the bloom or walk in the wire set it off then can’t sprint out off the wire. But that works better for noobs.
Duo tip and might be the best one yet!! Melusi and thorn jump ins….. or on other side of shield it’s automatic cheap kill unless they shoot the thorn. Good luck
A tip for Kapkan players. This is obvious but alway have at least one or two reserve EDD’s that you place on popular entry points. An example would be 2F chalet where the hallway to the museum portion that has a window, place an EDD on the window in the corner, then one in the hallway, it works most of the time for me.
an expensive but good tip is look at the elite skins for gadgets, for example valkyrie’s elite skin gives u a harder to see camera, kapkans are harder to see on certain maps with the elite skin, theme park comes to light cus a lot of the doors have different vines on them and it matches the colour however some maps the og skin is harder to see.
for thunderbird u can put her healing stations on site doors when there’s roamers but just shoot them when they come back or an enemy starts to push the door. If someone’s playing below white stairs on oregon and they plan to rotate back then keep it there until he’s all the way back
Gonna be honest tho, even a single second of an unexpected fenrir can throw someone off-guard sooo that may work for someone ambushing (hence fenrir doesn't get affected by his own gadget), but this is a case, I would say it's actually okay, but only if someone has ambushing playstyle with him and not the area deny. A nice tip is to have 2 that are at "crucial points" and 2 that are are "random spot" basically just to throw people off guard. If you play anchor, just put 2 down and hope enemies don't destroy them cause that's how much you are gonna use anyways before getting shot.
something I like to do as Wamai is to thrown magnets outside where attackers are going to breach. EMP nades or Ace SELMAS get caught, slowing them down and waisting resources. it's very rare for attackers to say: "hmmmm, I'm going to look at the wall behind me while I'm outside" It's hard to find that shit outside
Valkerie tip - put your cams either: A. Common push areas and not in site !! B. You bunker down in whatever area and put cams in spots where you cannot be shot without knowing there position so you can prefire/ swing them
What I love to do with Thorn is put a trap on somethjng (I.E. a staircase going up) which the goal of that one is to make them run away up top or somethjng but there’s another one very close by towards the top of the stairs waiting. As well as having her barbed wire around both traps which slow them down enough for the traps to work. the best spot I’ve used is on chalet snowmobile garage on the wall. one trap on the dumpster on the far right and one out of gun range on the snowmobile in front of the garage door. And if you want, put the third one on the far left side wall on the racks, also out of sight. Watch the magic
I can attest to the frost mat. It's always the stacl teams and high ranks that get me mat kills. They NEVER check the floor when entering a window, and coin window on Favela is the prime spot to place 2 mats. They never drone below that window either, and they never look left when you're crouched on the desk.
I play thorn mainly, I like setting up the razor blooms along stairs or hallways and putting down the shield l, they run straight to the shield, make sure to save one thorn for the other side of the shield when they climb over it’s a free kill
Tip for Daddy Kap, Dont place both sensors on the same wall, spread them out. What i mean is Put one at feet level and put another one at at leg level on the opposite side of the door.
Easy way to counter brava for maestro, use the observation blockers. Yes it can still be hacked but it will give you time to shoot the kludge drones before it comes closer to hack due to the blocker. no point in using impacts if you're anchoring. i mostly place them between cabinets or corners of rooms so that i can diagonally set the blockers , making a virtual bunker for the evil eye and forcing the brava to push the evil eye. ofc they can also hack the blockers but they think it's a waste. take your chances lol.
My Valk tip would be use her cams to support whatever you are doing. For example if you are on the roam place them on spots which helps you in crucial spots in your roam. If you wanna get that C4 from below place them overwatching multiple spots with soft floor. Etc.
One for goyo is shooting a canister then holding the position facing the fire. Theres no point because the attacker is going to be stuck for the next 20 seconds so you may as well hold another angle for that 20 seconds
The tip for lesion is kinda bad; using the mines like that means an enemy can take out the needle in relative saftey, immediately. If they are used in the middle of a long corridor type area, they have to either take the tick damage and make extra sound without being able to sprint, or take the needle out, giving your team an opening. Unfortunately they are removing the clocked aspect of the mines, so he'll be a lot less useful now.

Tip for Frost
If you have an elite skin i reccomend to set your gadget skin(frost mat) to default skin , because the chances of getting your bear trap of being spotted will decrease
its kind of a 50/50. the elite skin blends in SUPER well with barbed wire.
Other way around. I actually saw people run into my traps because they don't know how the elite one looks. And in some places the elite one blends in more.
If you play Alibi you should do this too
depending on where you use them, the elite can actually hide. in a place with more set up destruction or uneven floor, a perfect black rectangle might show off more than a spiked uneven mat
favela, yacht, and challet are examples of this. there's so much going that a spiked mat won't be so off compared to the surroundings
still, frost gadget was made to be pre-droned. good defenders will put them in places where attackers need to vault in, and good attackers will see it before hand. the mat is made to waste time and/or offset an attacker's aim, so depending on how you play, you actually might want the attackers to see your mat so you can flank them while they're shooting the mat
just like most things in siege, your gadget isn't there to kill people, it's there to slow them down. kills are and extra if they're distracted
i always found that kapkans elite trap blends with the door barriers
Tip for Ela, her Gadet interrupts the plant. If you can throw one during the plant sequence, can be a cheeky way to slow em down
Didnt know that. Good tip
A C4 op would slow them down for good and likely have a better gadget than ela
Didn't know that. Thanks!
Same with Nomad and counter defuse
She’s also probably one of the strongest anti-shield ops too
12:47 God, it feels good to hear someone say that. I was a Maestro main from the point he was released to the point where they added the punch nerf. It seems like anytime I point out that his cams are pretty much useless anymore, people like to pounce on me about it. Like, yeah, he has a good gun but man, the thing I loved most about him was his cams and them being nearly impossible to keep alive longer than 30 seconds into a round AND be useful has really made it frustrating to play him and it's nice to see someone acknowledge that.
i love placing them above hatches so they HAVE to use an ash charge or something like that, they cant just punch it. still pretty weak though.
Have a thorn or ela place there gadget near it. Might fix the issue.
He has zero utility anymore. I play a wider range of operators now but Ubisoft ruined all my favorites. Blackbeard was nerfed into the ground, Ela was completely obliterated, Maestro was ruined, and Ash just became “that” pic so I stopped playing all of them. As a Kapkan main, a mistake/tip for your traps is place them at the angle closest to the most common angle on doorways OR on the side of the door that is visually cluttered.
Youll have traps go off far more consistently and get picks pretty regulalry if the enemy isnt expecting the traps
Another tip that I've used for kills is to place them slightly further out of site, everybody expects your traps to be on the bomb sites doorways and merely going out of that room and placing them on the next doorway could easily catch them off guard
And when doing this they will be pretty far out of your reach so I'd recommend placing 2 traps on each doorway to fully down/kill them automatically.
Same. I really like the pillars outside of archive on Bank for this
Fenrir tip: place all 3 of them on the entry to cockpit in plane and pray you get defuser
low iq spot: above door frames. They usually have to just eat the blind because they’d have to turn around to shoot it
For Azami, another good option is to place it on the bottom corner of the door. The mantling animation serves a similar purpose to crouching, but it has the added benefit of acting like a static shield, meaning you can crouch behind it and peek around. As always, each have their benefits, but it's good to have more tools in your belt.
the attackers could also use it if they get control of that doorway tho, plus it means they can still stay looking head level when coming in and see you at the same time you see them
@@Dkarm26 impact grenade: 🗿
i never pack impacts@@ProtoFreeze
@@Dkarm26yea I’ve started using tools closer to the bomb. Deployable shields and other gadgets that attackers can also use can trap you. From the outside looking in, it’s easier to get a frag. That’s why I also hate head holes inside site. With an Acog as attacker, it’s like shooting fish in a barrel
One fun way to play Valkyrie is to utilise her cameras like grenades, whenever you need to check a room toss a camera in and check it or get a dead teammate to check the camera then go in and drop the attacker. You can leave the camera where you threw it or go and pick it up for later.
Downside is an attacker seeing a valk cam toss is alerted and can ping you for others or out swing you
id use em as flank cams thru out the round as i move around not just site but the whole floor during the round and as ppl die I tell them get on my flank cams easy clutches and kd
Second tip for Alibi: don't use cosmetic items. It'll be easy for the enemy to identify a hologram if it looks different from your character model
made that mistake once. Never doing it again.
That won't really even matter as I see people shoot alibi prismas even thought they were the one who killed alibi so it doesn't really matter
It matters when you’re in higher elo
Oryx player here,
the best prep phase preparation has (for me) always been to open every hatch that I MIGHT use, as well as thinking how that would affect the attackers, as some hatches may be beneficial to have open for the attackers.
i feel like the arunis directly on the wall made more sense when mav had nades
With Fenrir I like the use the two inactive gadgets as bait. I put them in the open so defenders shoot them and think their clear till they get caught by the active I’ve got hidden around the corner
yeah but that only works in high elo
@@psychopiper8224 I activate 3 and leave the decoys inactive
4:14 aged extremely well haha, good job
As a new play to the game (about 28 hours in) this was incredibly helpful! Thank you!
Another thing I found a tachanky kang is that if you have a deployable shield and use the shumika on one side, the other isn’t effected.
After years of hiatus and Call of Duty I tried to play R6 like that game. I picked Thorn as my main because her gun is very accurate and her gadget is very simple. Not thinking about gadgets and just shooting made me a better player than I ever was
Yea you can get away with using no gadgets in low elo lobbies, but not higher elo lobbies.
Second tip for Kaid: His Electro Claw can actually electrocute 3 walls if placed central enough to the middle/centre wall.
I thought that was common knowledge?
Third tip for Kaid : Your electoclaws can serve as Drone Denial if you electrify Barbed Wire (Also works with Bandit)
If they drone through the electrify barbed wire, the drone gets destoyed, so...
Tru
@@HurricaneHVK You would be surprised how many people only electroclaw 2 walls when they could easily do 3
You can do 4 on the right walls (plane villa)
I believe Mozzie really peaks at the last 45 seconds of a round. If he saves a couple of pests, (and lives to that point) he can snatch those last couple of drones that the last attacker(s) uses for a last second recon sweep so you don’t have to change positions while getting pushed.
Thorn is amazing for direction control. Placing her gadgets in spots away from you like in the stairs gives away enemy positions and makes it easier to push them
Kudos: Let me explain tactical mistakes that commonly being made so people can learn from it!
R6 players: TDM META GO BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Its also worth noting that thorn thrives when she has ally utility to pair with her gadget. This is why I run barb wire on her, if you put the barbs ahead where you know enemies will rush into during a push you can have your traps set up in such a way they are now standing on barbs or ela mine and can't just run away.
Yeah I noticed Thorn Gadgets Synergize well with Lesions Needles and Melusis Banshee
These tips are always super helpful thx!
Frost tip from a main try to put her traps more by doors that people r most likely to swing into but not right in front put it off to the side or something or slightly in a corner for when people who go in a room and just back up for a angle it’s so rare for me to see others use this it’s crazy
Advice for Kapkan, Ela and Goyo as I main them
Ela:
I do 2 playstyles
1:The aggressive ambush, Place a mine around an entry and hide, once it goes off, ambush them
2: the cautious anchor, place the mines around entries and/or close to the objective, once the enemy starts making their moves, be ready for them.
Bonus points if you put them next to each others' area, one's area ends and the other one's continues so when an attacked triggers one, they'll trigger the next one and the other one, slowing them down. Clutched a game like that once
Kapkan: 3 playstyles
1: the slapstick, put one mine in a window or door then the next one by the door of said window (e.g in Skyscraper)
2: the true defender, put most by the objective's entries
3: Work with Goyo, place your mine and have a Goyo place his Volcan by the wall, gives the enemy a double whammy. Mine goes off and the Volcan follows
Goyo
Place your volcans by windows, as low as possible.
It just has to activate in the first place.
this is true
"Like and comment because it helps with the algorithm" this is the most honest man ever
Sometimes, you can put as much effort into a video as you like and it just won't appear In people's feed
I trust that being transparent that people understand how important they are as the viewer helps me and allows me to do more
Small tip for mira, use your shotty to shoot out the general area on the wall you want to deploy the window before reinforcing (or after, from the other side) this will give you a slightly wider degree of vision by removing some rubble
With Oryx I peppered 3 attackers a little, climbed a hatch and rotated for a kill and got two assists. The hatches people, use them Oryx mains!
Underrated comment! Because of the hatch buff you can drop down, hit the enemys by suprise and then you just climb up the hatch.
@@kakapip1366 had one last night where they claymored their flank so I rushed through the wall and got the pick! Oryx is the best roamer by a mile
I've been saying this for years now, but there should be some sort of overdose mechanic for Doc players that use all 3 stims on themselves
that clash section AMEN brother
Man I remember Maistro on release, and it just sucks to hear about how so many counters have been added to him rendering him near useless.
It's rough out there for pizza time. Usually just gets hacked by Brava and becomes a liability.
Yeah I don’t even understand why they nerfed him. He has tons of counters already and now he’s useless
@@baconbitz7804Wait they nerfed maestro? What did they nerf?
@@D-Doc-Cwell he no longer has an acog for lmg and the cams glass can be punched to block vision unless opened
@@D-Doc-C the fact that you can punch his cameras is the nerf I’m talking about. It’s almost meaningless for Mira but it kills maestro
I played since beta, and Im happy to still see youtubers making videos about r6
For Azami, I place Kiba barriers just at the 5 second left mark during prep phase on the top of doorways with the addition of barbed wires, not only you force attackers to crouch and destroy the barbed wires which leaves them very exposed if they do or if they have utilities they may be forced to use it.
I remember that on Tower (yes I played QM) and I was Thorn and I either do two of the following:
1) put a thorn on each side of the elevator and one at the front of it.
For Kapkan: if you place trap at head level and someone crouches through door, they will also not trigger it.
the rook one i always do everytime i pick him
cause i play with friends and we all collectively share 1 braincell so soon as round starts there's at least one of us that always yells out "ARMOR"
Caveira mistake: using the smg
A true cav main understands that the pistol is the way to go
tip for clash, you have like a 1 second grace period after putting your shield down. if you shock before and then take the shield down, you have enough time to take out an enemy. but just know if there’s more than one person, there’s no point in taking down your shield. you’ll just get destroyed
Although if no one is playing another trap defender I will probably play Doc or Wamai.
great video! even as someone who has been playing for a while now some of these were really creative and i can’t wait to use them.
1:56 bro got flashbanged irl 😭
an expensive but good tip is look at the elite skins for gadgets, for example valkyrie’s elite skin gives u a harder to see camera, kapkans are harder to see on certain maps with the elite skin, theme park comes to light cus a lot of the doors have different vines on them and it matches the colour however some maps the og skin is harder to see.
for thunderbird u can put her healing stations on site doors when there’s roamers but just shoot them when they come back or an enemy starts to push the door. If someone’s playing below white stairs on oregon and they plan to rotate back then keep it there until he’s all the way back
For cav tip about jackyl, while your getting tracked by him you can tap her ability on and off to avoid being pinged
EMP nades or Ace SELMAS get caught, slowing them down and waisting resources. it's very rare for attackers to say: "hmmmm, I'm going to look at the wall behind me while I'm outside"
It's hard to find that shit outside
Valkerie tip - put your cams either:
Kaid tip: a reinforced wall and your barbed wire can shut off an entire hallway route for attackers if you're clever about it.
I remember a video similar to this that taught me to off set barbed wire on door ways so ppl can’t shoot the generator for bandit
most of the defender mistakes is just "you're placing utility in the wrong spots.
On thing I learned with Valkyrie is your can put a hole in a soft wall and throw your cam in side and u can see both room has saved me some much
Here's a top tip i learnt from a friend for aruni. Place her gadget on the outside of the breach, to make it harder for them to breach
Using Shumika similarly as Smoke's worked very well for me as a Tachanka main. :)
I love how you placed a mute jammer in the last doorway and proceeded to make a shotgun hole in the wall next to it
Easy way to counter brava for maestro, use the observation blockers.
When placing fenrir traps i like to put down barbed wire then put the trap on the black part and activate it, it blends in really well.
For every active r6 player, especially currently, this will be one of your most useful advice 12:25 - 12:31
bro is like the r6 version of boa (black ops amazing)
