EricRayweather you should try 3-4 over sting pinch zone.. its better than Tampa 2 if you put the linebacker in a deep blue and play around with the blitzing linebackers

Good tips. My record is 50-33. Tips will always help, but to win games...you have to know how to adjust.
I find 3-3-5 (Wide, specifically) to be good at stopping *outside* runs, but inside yes you get gashed. Obviously you gotta feel comfortable knowing what your opponent is doing to make a call like that, though. Good tip, though, per usual. Keep 'em coming!
Thanks a bunch bro. For some reason I've been in a bad slump until I came across your videos. My defense was lacking badly in madden 18. Everything I did, my opponent always score or got big gains. I just feel like madden 18 has been totally different from 17. This defense is really a no fly zone scheme. I've locked people down and got picks left to right. I've only lost one game so far after adjusting my defense to this scheme plus the other video Ive watched. All the frustration has slowly gone away lmao. Good tips bro.

When I use this play, I user the Strong Safety. Mix up what I do with the rushing LB. But you're right, 3-3-5 gets gashed by the run.
Depends on the run. 335 is my GO TO defense against outside runs. It's money as long as you set it up right.
Use this a lot with people who spam seem routs. Can blitz all linebackers and shift crash line to get pretty quick pressure while covering the middle which is the place most people hit when they see linebackers blitzing.
Nice video. An additional look spread line crash out and blitz the slot corner for additional heat gets in fast
I don't know if it's the exact same play but the Chiefs D also has one very similar that works well.
I run this on M18 and M19. I base align, cloud flats (based on distance), q.v. spy the blitzing LB, and deep half the corners. I would either user spy or my good blockshed DT. Great play. I use the Falcons and this LB are too fast

this is a nice idea but as with nearly ANY defense, i dont recommend spamming it. If i notice a coverage like this i would go to a spread look w my fastest WRs in slots. You need 3-4 seconds for those slots to clear the safeties in hook zones and then its bomb city over the deep middle.
This is a nice surprise defense to use sparingly against players who mercilessly attack seams (most decent players do!)

This is the best D play I've seen yet bro, if you can add this type of coverage with something that doesn't fold against the run it would be epic, that scheme you did a video on about aubibles from SB Tight slots to SG Bunch destroys this but if you throw decent Aubibles in this could be a total scheme.
I think you meant "cloud flats" at 1:14 instead of "hard flats" (Cloud flats is Y +RSdown, Y + RSup whereas hard flats is just Y + RSdown).
You can make a similar play with tampa 2 to stop out routes.

Against a player that likes to no huddle this will not work but I will admit it's lockdown if you can get it right

just aligns the defense so that it looks the same presnap no matter what play or coverage you're using
What exactly does base align do? Is there an advantage in base aligning all the time even vs CPU?
Base align is used to align to your defense to better defend compressed sets.

Question: *Can you get better on Defense at user DT?* Also...I'm having trouble finding the right offensive playbook. When I run the ball...I'm alittle bit more successful than passing it. But I'm trying to avoid from becoming one-dimensional on offense. *(I've tried the Run Heavy, Run Balance, West Coast, Falcons, Lions, Colt's offensive playbooks so far)*
Ghost Peppers in my opinion no. Yes, you might be able to create more pressure on the qb by using the DT but other than that if you get blocked you're done. Using a LB or Safety is your best bet because I think you can control more.

I'm having trouble with my custom playbook... I created my off playbook, set my audibles, and saved it (I've gone through this several times) but when I enter online ranked game, it goes back to the default audibles... any ideas on this y'all?? Thanks!

So when you click the right stick to being the spy down on the roll out? Can that be done even if you’re usering another player because that’s kinda how it seemed on the video? Or is that pre snap as well
+Dalton Carter yes you can do that while usering another player. It's not something you do presnap, you do it on the fly as the play breaks down.
