The "cover 4 drop show 2" you can run it every play if you know your quick adjustments it stops the run and the pass. I've won 7 games straight running that one play. Maybe your not setting it up right.

Kellen King look a little further down in the comments and you'll see other people are running it someone is 27-2 using this play. I didn't say I run one play on offense tho. It stops runs and the pass so try it or shut up.
Kellen King matter of fact what do you play on and I'll play you and show you how ass I am. The best players in the world don't run 100 different defensive plays at the most maybe 5.

Just mixed this in with my scheme for my last weekend league games. Shazier came screaming every time. Got a scoop and score off of it in the first quarter, and then it sealed the game by causing the guy to panic and throw a pic 6 to sherman. Great blitz to mix in on certain plays. Props dude.

Cover 4 drop show 2 is great run stopper that's why people use it, I went 11-1 in all pro 2nd string and won Super Bowl using that for run, while mixing in some Tampa 2 and cover 4 out of 335 for the pass
Same play. Spread line, spread linebackers, show blitz, hold non blitzing MLB in his spot for half a sec with left trigger...get heat from the linebacker on the line and not the guy 3 yards farther back. This is a good one to mix in though to make it look like you are not blitzing.
They can see previous plan ran but they can't see the adjustments made on the field. The best madden players have 1-3 plays with hella adjustments.

And that cover 4 won me over a 100 games it's all about how you set it up it doesn't matter if they see your play b4 because of quick adjustments
All you have to do is press lb and down on the rs and it’ll block pinch leaving you an extra 2-3 sec to get a pass off I’ve destroyed dudes who run this. Then send your wr on an out route easy 5 yards

I run the Cover 4 show 2 , it's the best base defense imo, you just have to make adjustments accordingly to who you are playing. I just hate when people say you're trash because THE can't stop or expose a play 🤷🏾♂️
It's cool these blitzes work in practice, but not all practice blitzes work in the games. So, you should show footage of Play Now or Online Labs for further proof.

are first two blitz's patched now? ...because i couldn't get either one of them through in practice mode..doing it just how you said.. (the last blitz still works perfectly)

You know CPU has weak awareness on rookie or pro. Obv what difficulty youre on. So the blockers wont pick up anyone. Esp if youre using to profiles to practice

I'm admittedly a novice at Madden. But it seems that the effectiveness of a defense is as much (if not more) about the adjuatments as it is about the play call. Would appreciate if some of y'all vets would tell me how (if) I'm wronG.
yeah ur correct, I usially sit in a couple different plays but make MANY adjustments depending on what I notice the opponent likes to run

3-4 drop / cover 3 3-3-5 I’m 165-45 rank .. 3-4 drop is my base I don’t blitz .. madden all about adjustments & making less mistakes than your opponent basically football .... if you can’t beat it well why change? Lol I hate it to but if you that stupid & cant stop the same play go practice against blame the guy who doing it lol ....
It's not about the cover 4 it's the adjustments that you make out of it to disguise and optimize it(which can be done with literally any set). I started the year 3-8 and after running a variation of the cover 4 show 2 I am 96-15. It works but it can get exposed by veteran players if they know how to read defense although I haven't lost by more than 7 with it. Great vid otherwise

I personally think its super corny when people run 1-2 plays on defense all game. People like that have zero skill. They just TH-cam corny shit and run it all game. A skillful Madden player can exploit it and will laugh.

Maxima Gang wether they TH-cam it or not if it stops you it stops you. Can't get mad if you can't beat a coverage or adjust to picking up a blitz that's on you. Now personally I don't run and spam the same play that's just my point of view. And the point of a blitz is to mix it in and keep the offense honest and guessing.
