Hey Mark! Some tips for the next episode, if you need! - Press E when walking around plants, you'll get berries. You can either eat them or tame herbivores with them! - To tame a dinosaur, you have to knock it unconcious (like you did with the first Dodo), you can do this with fists, but a slingshot is more efficiant (later on there are tranqualizer arrows + darts etc). When the dino is unconcious, you put berries or meat in its inventory (depending on if it's a herbivore or a carnivore). YOU NEED TO PICK UP NARCOBERRIES to keep it unconcious. force feed the narcoberries to the unconcious dino but don't force feed it other berries or meat, let it eat those automatically with time! SIMPLY SAID: Knock down a dino, put berries in its inventory, force feed it narco berries and force it to love you forever - I suggest playing in single player, since other people can kill your dinosaurs when you're offline. If you're in single player mode, you can play whenever you want and continue whenever you want. - You don't have to learn every single ENGRAM. you can see the descriptions of each engram and see if you need those. clothing + weapons + saddles are probably the most useful engrams. The Parasaur armor skin you get in the start is just a skin for the actual saddle Hopefully those could help out a bit! I love ARK, can't wait to see you playing it more!!
7:34 Chat thing - Epic conversation brandigler :"Its called doing something in real life learn it" macy :"Why are you online then" brandigler :"because i can afford my power bill"
@@randysparks1271 wildcard is the worse developer team there is. The amount of bugs they don’t fix and just ignore to make more new stuff which causes more bugs they don’t fix, and it’s just a cycle over and over. And they also never have people to monitor official servers and because of that people can cheat and get no punishments.
@@professionalwetard4910 yeah that’s the thing though it’s addicting even though the game and developer team is garbage 😂. Just imagine how fun the game would be with a good developer team.
here are some tips mark 1. you can drink from any water source even the ocean. 2. meat is harvested from fish and dinos 3. getting higher levels is how you progress the game one person can't have all engrams. 4. you can die from hunger, thirst, and hostile dinos and other players if you are doing Player vs Player 5. you can tame dinos and have them as pets and utility 6. build an awesome base for all your stuff in a safe location 7. and most importantly make a bed to reload back at base hope this is helpful love your videos mark super excited to see you play this game
Shadow Nightvale sounds like you put a lot o time into the game. For me Ark is the first purchase I've regretted. I never got multiplayer working and my dino always died as soon as I tamed it. 20 hours of my life down the drain.
Roman Larenas the game is designed to be very hard. I have died on the game so many times it also depends on pc or console on how functional the game can be. Do not get discouraged with bad luck in the game. There are going to be many times where you will lose items, dinos, and base construction. nature of game = brutal
Can people like this so Mark can see? Mark, A LOT of people are going to share tactics and ideas, and I wanted to share something with you. ARK is about the EXPERIENCE. A lot of ARK is really awesome and cool, but once you figure out what to do things, and how to do things, the game stops being enjoyable, because you've done everything, you've seen everything, and you know exactly what to do that gets you to the "optimal leveling point" for what your trying to do. So be careful when looking up strategies, in case it ruins aspects of the game for you. That said, Try to avoid the Swamp areas, Redwood areas, and Deep Forest. The Coasts are your friend, as are Rafts and tools. That said, Every dino will drop 2 resources, which you will get more of 1 or the other, depending if you use a Pick/Axe on it. Like the Dodo. Pick gives more Raw Meat, Axe gives more hide. Secondly though sometimes you won't get loot from bodies, just walk around, or change your angle of hitting it and you'll get it. Also you get a "broken" bone, it always happens if your health drops too low XD
Warframe: I’m 45% sitting and daydreaming 20% customizing and the rest playing. Ark: 30% single player on creative 40% playing with friend and the rest Im sitting around and not helping my friend build or make something XD
Hey mark, Helpful tip guy here. Don't punch every animal you see because most fight back but dodoos are fine. Engrams are new crafting recipes that you can learn by leveling up, The higher the level. The better you are off. Learn a camp fire, thatch everything, a water skin, spear, axe, and a standing torch. Fires and other things like torches take fuel to burn and create light. Make cloths by learning the engrams for it and get fiber by using just a bare hand to grab bushes to get the fiber and berries. Rafts are your best friend. Even though there are spooky sea creatures even larger then the ones in subnautica. And finally mark. Good luck and be very careful around small dinosaurs. Most ones that look like a miniature version of a raptor will either harm you, splash venom in your eyes, or steal your items.
Honestly, i thought mark would die within the first mins of playing the game but now, i am impressed. Also, who also read the chat while watching him play?
Mark: 1. You can pick berries with an empty hand (hit the number key again to put the tool away, or hit Q) The red blue and yellow are for eating. Purple are the favorites for herbivore dinos and also ok to eat. The black ones make you pass out, and are used to keep dinos unconscious after you knock them out. The white will keep you from passing out but will make you thirsty. 2. If you die you lose your inventory but keep your stats and recipes. If you make a sleeping bag or a bed you will respawn at it. Sleeping bag is single use. Bed is reusable but has a timer before it can be reused. 3. Almost everything besides Dodos and the bipedal walky-saurus you saw earlier (Parasaur) will fight back. If you go inland most things will try to kill you. If bugs try to eat you backpedal and swing your weapon. 4. Balance Health/Weight/Stamina. Movement speed and Melee damage can be useful but its a spice not a main course. Crafting Speed is not especially useful since later most of the crafting is done by machines. Water/Food are not useful since you can carry them anyway. O2 is mildly useful but there are ways around it later so not worth it. If you screw up you can make soup later to respec bad choices and recipes so don't be too scared to experiment. 5. Best recipes for now: Tools, Armor, and Shelter. Later try to keep a few points set aside later for saddles. For now worry about the basics of Thatch housing (walls, foundation, door, ceiling, hatch, trapdoor, ladder, but not Sloped Roof, stairs.) Disregard things like maps, drums, notes, signs, and saddles. Only get saddles for Dinos you have. They are expensive recipes to learn, useless without the dino, and you can find the recipes/saddles later if you're lucky anyway. 6. These items are for crafting other items: Refining Forge, Mortar and Pestle, Smithy. They are for making the really cool things. Get them as soon as they unlock. 7. Once a dino is unconscious you can put food in its inventory and defend it. It will eat slowly and love you. When it finishes eating it will follow you around and love you more. You can knock a dino unconscious by punching it, hitting it with a club, or a slingshot (aim for the head.) Later on you can make tranq arrows to make things easier. Once a dino is tamed there are whistle commands to control it. Be careful some whistle commands are to all dinos who can hear, some are single-target.
Mark:i killed a level 110 dodo you think anything in this world can stop me? This is what i thought would be funny Mark:i killed a level 110 dodo you think anything in this world can stop me? *alpha t-rex comes and rips him to pieces
If you read the chat you see a sad story of two friends becoming enemies over the age-old statement "I can hack this game" "No you can't", and then it begins
Me: *watches the little children argue in the chat over stupid shit* Me: *is not quite sure what started it but paused throughout the entire thing to read it bc damn little 8 yr olds chill tf out*
It’s funny because mark posted this video years ago and I’m sitting here watching it while farming in the background and the world chat sounds IDENTICAL lmao.
MARK, READ THIS: 1. You can pick up tons of berries from bushes, but DON'T eat the Narcoberry! 2. Weight and stamima are by far the most important skills, and water. 3. You can tame unconscious dinos by feeding them. 4. The big floating things aren't important unless you wanna face overpowered giant monsters.
LezRowl yeah you'd need a pretty powerfull computer (reminder that you can lower the settings, it helps a lot).. cus even Mark's PC was lagging a little bit
Mark you seem like you could use some help, here is a few beginner tips :) Up-vote this so he can see it! - Being "Too Hot" doesn't necessarily affect you though being too cold will mess your life up, bad. - When you log off of the game, much like Rust, your player will just rag doll and will be left there and other players can steal your stuff and kill you (this is why I personally play single player) - Eating fixes everything. Never let yourself starve, once you begin getting even slightly hungry your health will not regenerate and your stamina will be messy - Much like DayZ, the community in Ark is mostly hostile, so be careful when making friends - Hitting rocks with a hatchet will give you stones more than anything else, while hitting it with a pickaxe on the other hand will give you resources such as flint and iron - Hitting trees with a hatchet will give your more wood, while hitting it with a pickaxe will give you thatch - Get as much fiber as you possibly can. Walking up to bushes with your fists out and spamming the E key is a very efficient way to get fiber, until you unlock the metal sickle that is. Optional Information - Some mods for Ark are absolutely amazing, you should check them out! PG's Dragon Gods and Annunaki Genesis are two of my personal recommendations and will be for most players - In your graphics options, I HIGHLY recommend to turn your resolution scale all the way up and turn your sky quality to around medium with both of the ground clutter options at the lowest. Set everything else to epic and tweak the bottom settings to your liking. This will give you an optimal frame rate and make the game look absolutely beautiful for 1080p gaming. - Spawning in the eastern zones on The Island are usually the best places to go as they are the lowest areas for hostile dino population
DragonBornMusic and the pillars spawn bosses when you have artifacts from caves. Also, you have to knock out things to tame. herbivores take berries and Carnivores take meat. Being hot drains water Being cold drains food eating while cold gives a lesser impact Beaches are safer mountains are dangerous to start south zone and east zone are safest
DragonBornMusic, are you talking about the pc community? I ask simply because I play on PS4 and for the largest part the communities are not that hostile. But spot on with everything else. :)
Mark 1.you gonna want a house to log out in so your not killed while offline 2.press E while nothing is equipped or when holding a torch to harvest plants for fiber and berries 3. Going inland is not a good idea that is where all the big predators are 4. Its better to play with friends 5. Use Engrams wisely 6. Narco and stim berries are a no no for eating 7. Always make more than 1 spear they break easily These tips should help you get started in ark.
Mark info to survive the island of tech and dinos! 1. Stay out of the center of the island, until you learn the rest of the rules of survival! 2. Get pickaxe, hatchet, 3x spears, cloth shirt and pants (gloves are very useful if you gst the hide), 3x bolas always (great for stopping raptors from nomming chu manly neck.), and 2x parachutes (to escape dinos and preventing death from drops. Until you get hook shots and learn how those work.) 3. Yes just now getting to number three rule, get used to it! No getting used to it, isn't the rule three. Rule three, is keeping your hunger nearly empty. So you can eat cooked meat to heal fast. 4. HP, carry weight, O2 makes you swim fast, movement speed for land, melee for knocking out small stuff (and being more manly), and stamina just a bit 150 is good amount. 5. Get your buddies, amegos, companions, or friends. To join your tribe and be on this adventure!!! 6. BE MAN, MAKE MEAT, TAME REX, DO THINGS, SURVIVE! -cough- 7. Um..gather 10 metal and smelt that stuff, get a smithy, and iron pick. Then go back for more metal, sith the iron pick. 8. HAVE FUN! LIKE SERIOUSLY! I had fun typing this, to be helpful for you mark and anyone else that just started this. 9. Once you get a bow, learn the run, jump, turn, shoot, and repeat method of bow vs dino combat. Great to learn it and you feel awesome doing it for first time. 10. find a petra you know the birds that have thin beaks and snap at things with hide wings and such. Make a club or crossbow with narco arrows, bola it and knock it out. Then ready some prime meat to constantly feed it. Also have extra narcotic to keep that birdy out cold! If people could upvote this, so mark sees and reads? If he doesnt already see it and read it. Gawd in my bed typing this and my hands freaking hurrrtttt aghh!
Jericho Strayker actually a parachute alone will not save you from a picker. You need the combo of hookshot and chute. Hookshot to break the grapple and chute to desend.
Mark, for the love of the ARK, read this. I know everybody wants to see you play this game more. Please upvote so we can see Mark get munched by Megaladons! 1) GET ANOTHER SERVER! Look for a server that is marked (heh) as 'x10' or 'x10hx10tx10xp'. If you play on a vanilla, or official, server, then you only have x1. It takes AGES solo. 2) Power Level. On the early levels, take the Cloth Cap, then just run around and spam E to get Fibre. When you have enough, go to your Crafting Panel (V) and put it in one of the quick slots. So as you spam E, occasionally use the hotbarred Cap. Every now and then, you'll need to drop it. Open your Inventory, and drop everything. VERY IMPORTANT: Pick up any Narco Berries you get, you will need them later. Eventually you will be able to make Wood Foundations. Basically, build one in front of you (hotbar the blueprint, and hotbar the foundation), then spam it. You get resources back. 3) Resources. Use a pickaxe on stones for Flint and Metal. You will need these. Use a pickaxe on dead creatures for meat, and a hatchet for Hide. 4) Taming. Make a Bola and a Slingshot, make sure you have about 40-50 Stones in your inventory. First you want to tame a Trike, it's pretty damn useful early on. Just bonk one on the head until it passes out. Then put Mejoberries and Narcoberries in its inventory. You'll need to manually use the Narcos, but the Mejos will automatically be used. Each Narcoberry will restore 8 Torp. If the Torp goes to zero, it will wake up. 5) General Tips. If you use stamina, it restores itself by consuming your food and water. DO NOT EAT THE BLACK BERRIES. Press F to open the targeted inventory. Press T to transfer something from one inventory to another (aka, F). Press O to drop the targeted item. Hold Shift while dragging an item to split it into singles. You will need this to make meat rotten. DO NOT GO INLAND. South-Zone 1/3 is generally safe. Just stay away from the rivers or you WILL get munched. Set your Dinos to Neutral or Passive (press . for a whistle that affects all your dinos in hearing range). Press T while aiming at them to make them follow, and U to make every dino stop following you. If you get chased by something like a T-Rex, just run towards other Dinos and you will be fine. If you get chased by Raptors, same story, except they are 10 times faster than you and make big ouchies. I REALLY hope you'll play more of this, Mark!
Oh, and as for the Engrams. Learn all the powder-looking things, the Flare Gun, Cloth and Leather Armour (Leather gives the best insulation, and when you get a combat Dino the rest won't mean much to you [unless you PvP]), and ONLY the saddles that you need.
Honestly, it kinda does because everything is easier. But I doubt Mark can spend the same amount of time most other players can. x10 would just speed it up considerably
John Gregory its to save him the massive grind that is ark, casual ark players never really go to high on gathering rates but for a yter with limited time you want progress done each video
With survival games it's more if he can tolerate the game as well if he thinks it would make boring content in his page cause we all know his true taste in games is unique
Mark, here are some tips for you: 1.those light beams in the sky are supply drops, only go for the white ones to begin with because they are the lowest level and can be accessed by at least level 5, other colored drops need higher level players to be accessed. 2. Axes are good for collecting wood, stone and hide. Pick axes are good for collecting flint, thatch and meat. 3. If you want to tame a dinosaur you need to knock one out with your fists, slingshot or tranq arrows. Once it's unconscious you need to feed it its preferred food (usually it's berries or raw meat), you also need to keep it asleep while taming it, you can keep it asleep by feeding it narco berries which you can get from bushes, or narcotics which you can make at a mortar and pestle. Hope this helps!
HEY MARK, 1) The obelisks are for summoning boss monsters once you collect certain items from killing dinos and exploring caves. HOWEVER, they also act as character, dino and item transfers between servers. You need to make sure the server allows transfers though. 2) The beach is the safest area to start off in, but it also has the least amount of rare resources (metal, obsidian, crystal, strong dinos etc) 3) Weight and Stamina are typically regarded as the best skills to upgrade. But you can make a soup later on that resets all your stats so you can redo them if you need to. You DO NOT lose the xp you've gained, so it's very helpful! 4) Build near the initial spawn points if at all possible, this will help you out if you die a lot before you can make a bed to respawn back at. You won't have to go crazy as much trying to find all your stuff you lost. 5) If you want to fast track finding a permanent place to live that's not the beach, get a ptera as soon as possible. 6) There is a great Ark Gamepedia online, but I only suggest using it if you're ABSOLUTELY struggling. 7) Also giving people dead dolphins is a great way to display your friendship.
Hey Mark, I know you never see my comments, but I really hope you see this one. I've clocked over 365 hours Singleplayer in ARK (before my PC shat itself knowing I couldn't afford to replace it with something I can game on), so here's a few tips to get you started. 1. Watch for these symbols on your HUD: Skull & Crossbones, Big Fire (not little fire), ice cube (not snowflake), and the weird gorilla-man (that somehow relates to you being out so stamina). If you see any of those, fix the problem, they can and will lead to your death if you're not careful. Oh, and hearts above a creature's head means it's mate boosted, a.k.a. made a fair bit stronger by having at least 1 opposite gender of its species nearby. This makes tough enemies tougher to kill or tame. 2. Think carefully about how you spend Engram points, you can't get EVERY item even if you level cap. I've tried it. I'd suggest prioritizing storage, mortar & pestle, narcotics, armor, and ranged weapons like the bow, crossbow, guns, tranquilizers, and the bola. You'll need those for dino taming once you level enough to get them. 3. Don't piss off the snakes until you have good armor and a spawn point in a base. They're weak, but they'll tranq you and then take their sweet time killing you while you're unconscious. Their eggs are useful, though if you can steal them without dying. 4. Dodos are nice for easy meat, but they're better for their eggs if you want a steady supply. Just punch a female dodo until she knocks out and drop berries (Not black or white ones) in her inventory then get your new friend to come home and be your new snack layer. 25 food on average for 1 dodo egg is a good rate with how fast they lay them. 5. When you actually get to the point where you start taming stuff bigger than a dodo, there's no shame in looking up kibble recipes. The game is vague about the recipes. Also, I suggest getting a flyer like a Pteranodon. If you don't suck with a bola, you can pin it to the ground while it's resting and then tranq the crap out of it easily. Pteranodons aren't the best flyers, but they're fast and something special happens when you press a button while flying(keyboard binding is C). ;) 6. Finally, when you've got a really secure base (probably 3rd tier construction if you wanna be sure) don't be afraid to make a ton of spawn points inside and go do something stupid. The last thing I did before my computer crashed was chase a lvl 100 T-Rex through the area in my underwear with just my favourite Pteranodon and a tranquilizer gun....and I actually tamed it instead of dying. Sometimes being stupid in ARK pays off, other times, the game will throw more shade at you than contestants throw at each other in any Ghetto 'underdog' film. Good luck, and good ARKing. Welcome to my favourite game! :D
Believe it or not, probably not 10 year olds lol. I play the game and ages ranging from 13-30+ play the game....usually the ones arguing are 16-28 year olds....it's sad XD
How the fuck did Mark survive that long without dying? When i start a new character i cant ever last 5 minutes without being chased by a Raptor, swarm of bugs, or direwolves
Grey L how i spawn and don't usually die until level 15 or so where do you spawn there isn't many dires in south zone or anything dangerous I start out in south zone 1 then work to the north
Mark here are some pointers for your survival, and eventually death by Raptor. Drink water from any source with gather (E button). Ocean water is just as good as any water. Fiber comes from plants. Harvest them with gather (E button) like you did the rocks. The Pick and Hatchet get different amounts of things from different resources; rocks, trees, dead bodies. You'll need berries or meat respectively while taming. Mejo-berries tend to be best while taming early on for herbivores. Building a house with a bed or sleeping bag will let you re-spawn there. **PRIORITIZE YOUR ENGRAMS** You can't learn all the engrams on your own, that is what tribes are for. Focus on getting the Bow and Tranquilizer Arrows to help you tame more dinos in the early game.
I’d love to see The 3 Peens revisit Ark now, with all the updates and re-works. Mark’s multiplayer survival/crafting games with Bob and Wade are my absolute favorites (ie, Raft, the Forest, 7 days to die, Rust, etc)
Watching Mark play ARK is both painful and hilarious. Those glowing balls are loot drops. Inland is dangerous and beaches are the safest places. Build a house. The obelisks are where you can digitally store dinos and equipment and summon bosses. Tame dinos by KOing them and then putting food in their inventory. You can KO a dino with your fists, a slingshot w/stones, tranq arrows or tranq darts. Use narcotics to keep your dino down while it tames. Look through your engrams. Press Q to put away your held weapon and then you can press e on the bushes for berries and fiber. Put on clothes to so you aren't so cold. When you are cold your food lowers faster. When you are hot your water lowers faster. When you're thirsty go up to water and press e, to fill a water skin 'use' it in water. Also you had your graphics turned way way down. My pos computer can handle ARK on higher settings so yours will probably be fine. I love ARK and would love to see you play it. Also if you want to customize your hair(it grows in) then make scissors and then the next time it grows in it'll be your custom style. And you forgot to give your character your booty.
Kristen H beaches are not as safe as they used to be, thanks to pegomastax and troodons. i fucking hate pegomastax, especially late game when you have lots of guns and ammunitions 😤
*Markiplier Noob Guide 101* *1)* Engrams are what you can craft. The more engrams you have, the more crafting recipes you have. You unlock new engrams every time you level up 5 times and can unlock any engram that's unlocked at any time, providing you have enough points (obtained by levelling up) (some engrams have prerequisite engrams) *2)* Fiber is an important resource. So are berries. You can collect them in the same way you picked the rock up off the ground. Fiber is used in many recipes and berries says hunger (stimberries(white berries) also take thirst and provide stamina while narcoberries(black berries) increase torpor(unconsciousness)) *3)* Hatchets and pick axes are useful but learn the differences. Picks get more thatch from trees, more Flint from rocks and more meat from animals while hatchets give more wood from trees, more stone from rocks and more hide from animals. *4)* Don't make more than one tool. You can repair them while they're in your hotbar. It uses the the resources like you're making a new one but save time and prevents your inventory filling up with broken tools. *5)* Rather than health, consider putting points into weight. You become overencumbererd very quickly otherwise (inventory is filled by weight, all items weigh something. If they match or surpass your max weight, you can't move. You start to walk slowly before that point though) *6)* Finally, you can put crafting recipes in your hotbar. You can then craft these easily without having to go into your inventory, which wastes time and leaves you vulnerable to prey or hostile players. Oh yeah, *7)* Have fun!
This is all good information and I hope Mark sees it. The only thing I would add at the moment is sometimes when you kill things, the body's hitbox is funky and you have to try hitting it from different angles in order to harvest it (this is what happened on the second dodo you killed [the one you tried and "couldn't" harvest])
Also engrams become more expensive (costs more engram points) later on in the game so it's important to pick and choose what you actually want to unlock as you can't unlock everything. Building a house will keep you warm and dry. Clothing will also do so, but also provides defense. Being cold drains your hunger faster, while being hot drains your thirst. Eating Meat recovers health. When it rains your thirst bar becomes full, and you can also fill up waterskins in the rain. Fish are a good source of meat, but beware of piranhas and megalodons. As mentioned above, harvesting berries and fiber from bushes.(just when your running through the forest spam E, [with nothing in hand] if your using PC controls, Q is to put whatever it is your holding away) The shining lights are supply drops that drop down from the sky, and will have various goodies. like resources or even a house A club is used to knock things unconscious, and spears can be thrown but break quickly break (can't repair)
Mark kills a level 110 dodo with fists "I KILLED A LEVEL 110 DOD WITH MY FISTS I'M INVINCIBLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE" my immediate reaction hey mark meet my friend the GIGA.
Mark, pay attention to the gauges on your bottom right! It tells you your hunger, thirst, how much you can carry, health, energy, exp, and torque (How close to passing out you are).I do suggest doing a single player world or have a private server for your videos, it will reduce the lag and allow you to learn the game much easier (Private servers are very cheap). I have a private server just for myself because it reduces the lag a ton, even when my friends join in. You can also collect berries from the bushes to eat and the fiber can craft cloth clothes once you research the Engrams for them. To harvest meat and hide, you need to keep hitting the animal you killed. The better the tool you hit it with, the more you will get (Fists being the worst). Also, spawning, the south or southeast is probably the best place. Less larger carnivores unless you are very unlucky, though there are still alot of smaller ones that are easier to deal with. Stay far away from the swamp and redwood forest areas! They are teaming with predators that want to eat your face! I have rifles and armor and I won't go in without my argentavis to bail out of there fast (Ark version of a huge eagle) To tame something, you need to knock it out and put the right type of food in it's inventory that it likes. It will very slowly eat it and tame if you are nearby. To get a flier, you need to bring it down with a Bola first then knock it out. DON'T GIVE UP MARK! I'VE BEEN DYING TO SEE YOU PLAY THIS! Along with probably at least half your fan base.
Markiplier!! I'm so happy you've started playing ARK! When my boyfriend and I started dating you were one of his subscriptions on TH-cam and watched you often. I instantly got addicted to your page. I've watched all your hooror games and animations, I've been keeping up with Subnautica. we started playing ARK a month or so ago and thought about how much it might help you with survival skills! Caution/tips: when you start, most things will kill you. adjust the settings to benefit you the most if you're playing alone. like harvest amount. MAKE A HOME ASAP! Build as many boxes as you can to keep ALL THE supplies you gather. taming can take days in game. so always bring a fire and materials to build a small hut for you while you wait. xoxo Good luck!
@Markiplier Tips for your next play session in ARK (I know some of these are mentioned elsewhere in comments, hoping this will help visibility) 1. Yes, learning Engrams gives you access to additional crafting recipes, which you'll need as the game progresses. No, you can't reasonably learn them all. Pick and choose carefully, or have a friend learn what you don't. 2. Gather from bushes using 'E'. You'll need nacroberries and the purple berries (can't remember their name) for tames. 3. Most dinos can be tamed by knocking them unconscious, then placing food in their inventory (they'll eat from their inv at regular intervals). Eventually they'll eat enough to like you. Make sure they stay knocked out during this time by feeding them narcoberries from bushes, tranquilizer (later on), or hitting them in the head with blunt weapons. The less you hurt a dino while taming them, the better 'taming bonuses' you'll get. NOTE that this process takes exponentially more time with higher level dinos. 4. Low-level turtles/carbonemys, dilos and raptors make good early-level tames. Your best bet to knock them out early on is a slingshot. 5. Your first early goal should be establishing a well-hidden structure or hideout of some kind. Build in the lees of large boulders, cliffs, under tree cover; this will hide you from less-than-savory survivors better. Your next best goal, in many cases, is to find and tame pteranodons, then get (and craft) the saddle engram for them. Being able to fly around is a big game-changer. 6. BOLAS. MORE BOLAS. Learn how to make bolas, then make a 10-stack of then early on. Hold down the fire button to get momentum, then release to throw. Bolas stop movement, which means a bola'd dino can't turn to attack you (unless it can hit all the space around it, like a turtle). Not all animals can be bola'd, but they're you're only real answer to raptors and dinos like them early on. If you have them and bola successfully, an axe or a spear shoved up their hinnie should kill them. If you don,t or don't have a bola, you're probably dead. 7. Save spoiled meat; don't throw it out. It'll come in handy for later recipes. Hope this helps!
RoastTheToast he is , or a smaller not official server cus those are always packed, he can also change gathering rates ect cus ark is one of the most grindy games i have played in recent times
Jack did play this game but there wasn't much in it at the time and he gave up as it wasn't very fun. It's all stress, having to craft all the time, enemies all the time, dying all the time it gets boring. I prolly won't watch Mark play it as I know how the game goes from Jack's playthrough. What you saw there in this video is pretty much the game through and through. It's all "you defecated", "you're cold", "you're hungry" rinse repeat.
Mark Ples Read too! 1. PVE Servers are best for starting; so are newly restarted servers, (that way you don't have level 100 dinos and you're level 5) 2. Should play with a friend! (We vote for Jack, Bob and or Wade) 3. Pure Vanilla settings are hard to play with 3.5 Tame and Gather are good settings, and not over the top. 4. WARNING! 95% of Ark servers do WIPES. You will lose your dinos and character if playing on a server that does wipes. 5. Swamps = DEATH without a good dino. 6. Frozen area = DEATH with out proper armor. 7. Terror birds are adorable but also = DEATH 8. Leveling up *Fortitude* helps you resist cold and heat better with and without armor. 9. DON'T SPAM EAT YOUR FOOD. Eat one at a time! Not all at once! IT DOES MATTER! 10. +as many other people have said. Spam push your E on bushes and rocks on the ground to pick up!
Lia Korvein PVE is boring. I started on official pvp servers and never left 1.5k hours later other than that good tips. And yes u can spam eat food just keep in mind each meat fills 20 hunger
PVE is boring imo if you're into the pvp aspect rather than the surviving the world and everything in it, itself. I enjoy pvp but not on survival games like this. Just thought it would be a better experience for him and viewers. (campers suck)
TIPS FOR MARK. LIKE SO HE CAN SEE Official servers broken with end game players. play on a private server. press e on bushes to collect berries and fiber when you have no tools equipped. the beaches are safer. south zone is safest. (Preferably south haven, press h in game to see location) you have to knock out most things to tame and you need narcotics berries to keep them knocked out with remote use item button. Herbivores tame with berries Carnivores tame with meat. the giant pillars spawn bosses if t you have the right artifacts from caves. axe gets more hide and wood and stone pickaxe gets more meat and thatch and flint being hot drains water while being cold drains food eating while cold gives a lesser impact and don't die.
Episode in a nutshell: Mark creates an ambomination of a character, talks about how good he is while oblivious to the fact he's injuring his hands by punching things, and Mark discovers a deep lust for dodo-murder no doubt lying dormant in his genes, which probably means the blame for their extinction lies squarely on the (misshapen) shoulders of Mark's ancestors. This video gets my stamp of approval.
Mark, as someone who's played far too many hours in this game, I would HIGHLY suggest playing this in either single player, start a new server of your own, or play with JUST friends. (not on any existing official, or unofficial servers) The benefits of doing so, would be: -No lag -Actual progress in the game (in existing servers, "alpha tribes" enforce their rule, and even if you adhere to their rules, you're highly likely to be raided, or griefed by raiders, or other random people while you're offline) -No limits, and ability to play as you would like. I don't want Mark's experience in ARK to be ruined. Please like this, so he sees, and we can enjoy his exploration in ARK.
Ben R I commented something similar. Glad to see someone else that understands. This game isn't worth playing multi-player for a TH-camr like Mark, if they plan uploading it that is. The game just demands too much.
A man walks up to a German clock maker. He says, "My clock just goes tik, tik, tik, it never goes tok!" The German clock maker holds a flashlight to the clock and yells: VE HAVE VAYS OF MAKING YOU TOK
Ark Crash Course: •Picks get flint, meat, thatch, metal and oil better •Don't eat the narcoberries. •Hatchets get stone, hide, wood better •Don't eat the narcoberries. •Giant pillar of light is a lootcrate, color indicates level of stuff you can get and level required to open •Don't eat the narcoberries. •If you put berries in an herbivore's inventory or meat in a carnivore's inventory, it will start taming while unconscious. Make sure to keep it unconscious with narcoberries or narcotics. •Don't accidentally eat the narcoberries when feeding to the dinosaur. •Giant obelisk is how you summon and fight bosses as well as transfer your character/Dino's to another server.
don't forget the most important rule: Stay the hell away from people. They're bad in this game. Its why I don't play it anymore and it gives me nightmares because EVERY server I went to there were either trolls or raiders that didn't give a damn about you, the time you spent in the game, or how gutsy you are to get back up and rebuild. Bottom line, people are fucking dicks in Ark.
EcchiSamurai u should try ark PVE servers where there's no violence at all its the players vs the environment. the downside is that if u don't play for 7 days all ur stuff eathier gets destroyed or claimed after 7 days of inactivity
Here's some more tips I learned while playing ark myself. 1. The axe gets you more hide, stone, and wood 2. The pick gives you more meat, flint, and thatch 3. You get fiber and berries by gathering from plants but you cannot have weapons equipped 4. A sleeping bag can be used as a one-time use spawn point/fast travel. either way, you lose everything you have on you (including armor and anything in quick tab) while beds are permanent but do the same thing 5. The south is one of the easiest places to survive due to it's normalized temperatures but there's still a chance of raptors in the forest and sarcos along the coast, or the beavers 6. Speaking of beavers, their dams are a treasure trove of cementing paste (which is very important when you start making more complicated weapons) but all nearby beavers will attack you. Proceed with caution 7. Taming dinos take different things; aside from the obvious carnivore herbivore thing, prime meat tames carnivores faster while different berries or even flowers or mushrooms can tame the herbivores. There's even one that only drinks beer. Consider looking up the dinos you wish to tame on the Ark Survival wiki. It is quite helpful 8. Consider getting a mortar and pestle fairly quickly seeing as you can make sparkpoweder (used in fireplaces and such), narcotics (used to knock out dinos for taming) and gunpowder 9. Mateboosted animals are stronger and when attacked, the mate will attack you too (unless they're like dodos and run away, but that's not as likely the bigger the enemy is) 10. Swamps are DANGEROUS. Proceed with caution. 11. Any sizeable body of water is DANGEROUS. proceed with caution. 12. Be mindful of your inventory weight. If you go over it, you will be unable to move at all which can be dangerous if an aggressive dino happens upon you 13. Different region has different dinos, some carry different materials as well. Like the trilobites have chitin and oil bit are along the coasts of oceans and dire wolves are only found in cold climates and carry pelt. 14. Unconscious dinos do not stay that way forever. Some recover very quickly (like compy's or the pterodactyls ) while some are unconscious longer. Narco berries or a narcotic can put them back to sleep. make sure to have plenty on hand 15. Allosaurus' are VERY DANGEROUS!! They travel in packs and will fuck you up! Stay clear at all costs! Hope this helps
"I got a Greek God neck, long legs like my will to survive, brod narrow chest, some impinge shoulders. I like to call them aerodynamic." #IstandwithmarksGreekgodneck?
mark dont worry about the towers, at your time in the game it wont effect you but at a higher level you can spawn boss's that give really rare materials
Markiplier in March: I'm gonna beat the _crap_ out of this bird cuz I want to Markiplier in August: I want to beat the crap out of this bird, but if I do, it'll cost me the good ending to this game I'm playing, so imma leave it be :p
Mark i have some tips 1.Tame a parasaur just by punching it them when it is knocked out feed it berries you can harvest them from bushes. 2.Build a thach base and a bed so you can respawn in the bed . 3.The parasaur will harvest more berries than you so if you are hungry you can eat the berries that you just harvested. 4.Also the berries give you food and water . Hope you read this and improve your ARK Knowledge.
Thick Neck Markiplier vs Multiple Chin Egoraptor... Who would win in a fight on ARK? Regardless, it was hilarious to see his character creation, as well as the whole video. I'd certainly love to see more of these, since I'm still playing ARK right now, and it's fun to see Mark starting out.
Mark, you should purchase a server from a website and play with Jack Bob and Wade. You guys could do teams of 2 and learn the game with just the 4 of you. Plus, it's a whole lot less laggy. It's only 15-20 dollars a month for most server hosting websites if you're only having about 4 people. I easily put over 400 hours in this game with a private server and friends.
yesh, mark look dis look dis. Very good. Public servars bad. End game players own everything. You won't be able to accomplish anything in life if you play dat
Octoxite oh yeah, the kapros. I was on my raft in the middle of the ocean when one of those fuckers knocked me off and I proceeded to be eaten alive by said kapro as well as some megalodons.
Mark needs to play this with Wade, like with 7 Days to Die and same with when he played Rust with Bob. As entertaining as it is to watch Mark fail, it can also be pretty hard to watch him miss some of the simple things. I think Wade would make for a good partner, since even he only partially knew what was going on most of the time. Like this if you agree, since I would love to have Mark see this and hear what he thinks.
Sarah Riley Jack did play this game. Once. Like 2 years ago, during the alpha. He didn't really 'try' in terms of revisit like Subnautica. But i don't see him really getting the game either like you said
Mark, you can make some optimizations to the graphics so the game can be smoother. Try to make a shelter and some clothes in order to keep safe from aggressive Dino's and the weather. The colder you are the hungrier you'll get. Try to tame some small Dino's like dilophosaurus so they can carry things for you and also protect you. Also you could play this with Bob or Wade by making a tribe in the same server. I hope this get as good as subnautica, Ark has a variety of gaming styles :) LIKE SO MARK CAN SEE THIS
13:18 brandigler: dont think im scared Marco: so take ur man pants and put them on again Marco: and come at me bro Mark I love you but the chat throughout this is just too much to not pay attention to
Mark you have to collect matterials to make items and level up, then you use your engram points to get craftables. Craftables are like recipies, craftables tell you what materials and how many of those materials to get to make that craftable. And when you kill something you have to contintue to hit it until it disapears.
Also you collect food from bushes, if you dont eat food or drink water you will pass out, and then die. A cool thing that you can do is tame a dino, there are certain dinos that are PASSIVE AGRESSIVE and there are dino that are PASSIVE and then there are dinos that just plain old kill you. That floating light orb thingy is a supply crate, but you have to be a certain level for some of them right now i think you can only get the WHITE supplyt crates. The supply crates have items for you such as food, hide, armor(which you can equip in your invintory), and other VERY USEFULL ITEMS.
The lights in the sky are beacons, or supply drops basically. they can have multiple colors, white, green, blue, purple, yellow, and red. Red being the best and white being the worst. The beacons also have a required level that you must be. White is level 3, green is level 15, blue is level 25, purple is level 35, yellow is level 45, and red is level 60.
Jesus this painful to watch. Then I remember that when I first played this I died an embarassing amount of times because I wasn't gettting close enough to bushes to get berries off them. You go Mark!
SIMPLY SAID: Knock down a dino, put berries in its inventory, force feed it narco berries and force it to love you forever
- I suggest playing in single player, since other people can kill your dinosaurs when you're offline. If you're in single player mode, you can play whenever you want and continue whenever you want.
- You don't have to learn every single ENGRAM. you can see the descriptions of each engram and see if you need those. clothing + weapons + saddles are probably the most useful engrams. The Parasaur armor skin you get in the start is just a skin for the actual saddle
Hopefully those could help out a bit! I love ARK, can't wait to see you playing it more!!
Please like for Mark to see! :)
wow... an actually usefull comment, im impressed i thought the comment section was shitposters and spam bots.. Nice
Haha thanks! :D I've just been waiting for Mark to play this game for ages so I wanted to give some simple useful tips! Hopefully he sees it. :)
but dont eat the naroco ones

I wish mark would play ark again, its come a long way .
True. It's somehow much worse than it was before lmao.
@@mahchestro9144 how so?
@@randysparks1271 wildcard is the worse developer team there is. The amount of bugs they don’t fix and just ignore to make more new stuff which causes more bugs they don’t fix, and it’s just a cycle over and over. And they also never have people to monitor official servers and because of that people can cheat and get no punishments.
@@cayditty9987 very true, the other day I was playing rag and got attacked by flying sea scorpions. Still one of my favorite games of all time though
@@professionalwetard4910 yeah that’s the thing though it’s addicting even though the game and developer team is garbage 😂. Just imagine how fun the game would be with a good developer team.
This game got so much more beautiful since the release, everyone said it'd die fast, but oh they were wrong
Mobile version still looks bad tho
@@BassMaster.454 that's cause all mobile games are bad graphics though ngl
I still have the game and play it often for 2 straight frickin years

here are some tips mark
1. you can drink from any water source even the ocean.
2. meat is harvested from fish and dinos
3. getting higher levels is how you progress the game one person can't have all engrams.
4. you can die from hunger, thirst, and hostile dinos and other players if you are doing Player vs Player
5. you can tame dinos and have them as pets and utility
6. build an awesome base for all your stuff in a safe location
7. and most importantly make a bed to reload back at base
hope this is helpful love your videos mark super excited to see you play this game
also there is an app for ark official wiki
Shadow Nightvale sounds like you put a lot o time into the game. For me Ark is the first purchase I've regretted. I never got multiplayer working and my dino always died as soon as I tamed it. 20 hours of my life down the drain.
Roman Larenas the game is designed to be very hard. I have died on the game so many times it also depends on pc or console on how functional the game can be. Do not get discouraged with bad luck in the game. There are going to be many times where you will lose items, dinos, and base construction. nature of game = brutal
im going to be honest his character is how I try to draw proportions
Local Rubbish sameee.
Noob
Me when I play games
95% customizing character
5% actually playing
I'm the opposite
Warframe: I’m 45% sitting and daydreaming 20% customizing and the rest playing.
Ark: 30% single player on creative 40% playing with friend and the rest Im sitting around and not helping my friend build or make something XD
Same
Your Shadow you forgot the 70% dying
Lolololololol
Most ones that look like a miniature version of a raptor will either harm you, splash venom in your eyes, or steal your items.
mark knows NOTHING about ark
Honestly, i thought mark would die within the first mins of playing the game but now, i am impressed. Also, who also read the chat while watching him play?
kitty galore it a was a distraction
kitty galore we watched the chat. eggs are lunch.
kitty galore me
kitty galore. me
admit it, when there is a chat in the game you will read it lol
Mark:
1. You can pick berries with an empty hand (hit the number key again to put the tool away, or hit Q)
The red blue and yellow are for eating.
Oh and 8. You can drink from the ocean. Its cool.
MyriDog thankyou for writing this, if you had not done so I would've done it as well!
MyriDog nice work you put a lot into this
so you make friends in this game by beating the crap out of them and giving them food.

MARK, READ THIS:
1. You can pick up tons of berries from bushes, but DON'T eat the Narcoberry!
2. Weight and stamima are by far the most important skills, and water.
3. You can tame unconscious dinos by feeding them.
4. The big floating things aren't important unless you wanna face overpowered giant monsters.
i never played ark it so laggy
+LezRowl Did we really need to know this?
LezRowl yeah you'd need a pretty powerfull computer (reminder that you can lower the settings, it helps a lot).. cus even Mark's PC was lagging a little bit
Hey!! Character looks like Buu!! Buu mad!! Buu way sexier than that!! Buu no like you make fun of Buu neck!!
Weight yes that's important but not stamina. I would say fortitude or health.
Mark you seem like you could use some help, here is a few beginner tips :) Up-vote this so he can see it!
- Being "Too Hot" doesn't necessarily affect you though being too cold will mess your life up, bad.
- When you log off of the game, much like Rust, your player will just rag doll and will be left there and other players can steal your stuff and kill you (this is why I personally play single player)
- Eating fixes everything. Never let yourself starve, once you begin getting even slightly hungry your health will not regenerate and your stamina will be messy
- Much like DayZ, the community in Ark is mostly hostile, so be careful when making friends
- Hitting rocks with a hatchet will give you stones more than anything else, while hitting it with a pickaxe on the other hand will give you resources such as flint and iron
- Hitting trees with a hatchet will give your more wood, while hitting it with a pickaxe will give you thatch
- Get as much fiber as you possibly can. Walking up to bushes with your fists out and spamming the E key is a very efficient way to get fiber, until you unlock the metal sickle that is.
Optional Information
- Some mods for Ark are absolutely amazing, you should check them out! PG's Dragon Gods and Annunaki Genesis are two of my personal recommendations and will be for most players
- In your graphics options, I HIGHLY recommend to turn your resolution scale all the way up and turn your sky quality to around medium with both of the ground clutter options at the lowest. Set everything else to epic and tweak the bottom settings to your liking. This will give you an optimal frame rate and make the game look absolutely beautiful for 1080p gaming.
- Spawning in the eastern zones on The Island are usually the best places to go as they are the lowest areas for hostile dino population
DragonBornMusic S+ is amazing also
Doge - The Dogeiest channel True that
DragonBornMusic and the pillars spawn bosses when you have artifacts from caves.
Also, you have to knock out things to tame.
herbivores take berries and
Carnivores take meat.
Being hot drains water
Being cold drains food
eating while cold gives a lesser impact
Beaches are safer
mountains are dangerous to start
south zone and east zone are safest
+Dragonbornmusic being too hot affects thirst and stamina drain. =P
DragonBornMusic, are you talking about the pc community? I ask simply because I play on PS4 and for the largest part the communities are not that hostile. But spot on with everything else. :)
Mark 1.you gonna want a house to log out in so your not killed while offline
2.press E while nothing is equipped or when holding a torch to harvest plants for fiber and berries
3. Going inland is not a good idea that is where all the big predators are
4. Its better to play with friends
5. Use Engrams wisely
6. Narco and stim berries are a no no for eating
7. Always make more than 1 spear they break easily
These tips should help you get started in ark.
Stimberries are fine to eat as long as you are near water
EVERYBODY LIKE SO MARK CAN SEE THIS ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^👆👆👆👆👆👆👆☝☝☝☝☝☝☝☝☝☝☝
brian sturgis very true
brian sturgis stim berries are great to have when you're dealing with animals that have torpidity to their attacks. stim berries drop torpidity
Good advise! :)
After all this time, I still imagine a wild human roaming around the Ark servers with the shear space-altering dimensions of his thicc neck
Until you get hook shots and learn how those work.)
-cough-
Never needed a hookshot but Ill be sure to pack one now just incase
Not only do they break picks, if you hookshot yourself to the ground. You can't get picked at all.
If you play on a
vanilla, or official, server, then you only have x1.
Airchi x10 everything is boring as shit. takes all the fun out of it
Honestly, it kinda does because everything is easier. But I doubt Mark can spend the same amount of time most other players can. x10 would just speed it up considerably
John Gregory its to save him the massive grind that is ark, casual ark players never really go to high on gathering rates but for a yter with limited time you want progress done each video
he has no idea what he's getting himself into
The title of this episode should've been "The Adventures of Macy, Marco, and Brandigler - also Mark is there"
Emily Elrod I'm so glad I'm not the only one who saw that!
Emily Elrod I could hardly pay attention to Mark because of them lol
Same, I just couldn't pay attention. Their conversation was so childish and humorous
literally one of my favorite parts is when Macy is like "ASL" like 4 times in a row

Mark, here are some tips for you:
1.those light beams in the sky are supply drops, only go for the white ones to begin with because they are the lowest level and can be accessed by at least level 5, other colored drops need higher level players to be accessed.
Mark is the real reason dodos went extinct.

Mark: I’m so strong I killed a level 110 dodo with my bare fists.
Facts: He knocked it out and it’s a dodo
HEY MARK,
1) The obelisks are for summoning boss monsters once you collect certain items from killing dinos and exploring caves. HOWEVER, they also act as character, dino and item transfers between servers. You need to make sure the server allows transfers though.
2) The beach is the safest area to start off in, but it also has the least amount of rare resources (metal, obsidian, crystal, strong dinos etc)
3) Weight and Stamina are typically regarded as the best skills to upgrade.
Pteranodons aren't the best flyers, but they're fast and something special happens when you press a button while flying(keyboard binding is C). ;)

How the fuck did Mark survive that long without dying? When i start a new character i cant ever last 5 minutes without being chased by a Raptor, swarm of bugs, or direwolves
Grey L same i hate raptors and carnos
Grey L do right me 5 secomds
Grey L Bruuuhhhh. tell me about it bruh.
Grey L luck of the spawn.
**PRIORITIZE YOUR ENGRAMS**
You can't learn all the engrams on your own, that is what tribes are for. Focus on getting the Bow and Tranquilizer Arrows to help you tame more dinos in the early game.
Thomas Impellitteri II me and my fiance screamed in pain with his engram benge.
Liked to hopefully let Mark see your kindness. :)
Thomas Impellitteri II how long did that take to write.
Only a few minutes.
*Markiplier Noob Guide 101*
*1)* Engrams are what you can craft. The more engrams you have, the more crafting recipes you have. You unlock new engrams every time you level up 5 times and can unlock any engram that's unlocked at any time, providing you have enough points (obtained by levelling up) (some engrams have prerequisite engrams)
*2)* Fiber is an important resource. So are berries. You can collect them in the same way you picked the rock up off the ground. Fiber is used in many recipes and berries says hunger (stimberries(white berries) also take thirst and provide stamina while narcoberries(black berries) increase torpor(unconsciousness))
*3)* Hatchets and pick axes are useful but learn the differences.
You start to walk slowly before that point though)
*6)* Finally, you can put crafting recipes in your hotbar.
James Butler he should also turn up the graphics
James Butler and dont forget about dino tamming u can knock out and tame dinos w/ certain food
Gwebb Yeah

I have rifles and armor and I won't go in without my argentavis to bail out of there fast (Ark version of a huge eagle)
To tame something, you need to knock it out and put the right type of food in it's inventory that it likes. It will very slowly eat it and tame if you are nearby. To get a flier, you need to bring it down with a Bola first then knock it out.
DON'T GIVE UP MARK! I'VE BEEN DYING TO SEE YOU PLAY THIS! Along with probably at least half your fan base.
*Torpor, not Torque };^)

@Markiplier Tips for your next play session in ARK (I know some of these are mentioned elsewhere in comments, hoping this will help visibility)

Jez Eli i think so but years ago, dont really see this as a game for jack tho
Jack did play this game but there wasn't much in it at the time and he gave up as it wasn't very fun.
It's all stress, having to craft all the time, enemies all the time, dying all the time it gets boring.
I prolly won't watch Mark play it as I know how the game goes from Jack's playthrough.
What you saw there in this video is pretty much the game through and through. It's all "you defecated", "you're cold", "you're hungry" rinse repeat.
Mark Ples Read too!
1. PVE Servers are best for starting; so are newly restarted servers, (that way you don't have level 100 dinos and you're level 5)
2. Should play with a friend! (We vote for Jack, Bob and or Wade)
7. Terror birds are adorable but also = DEATH
Lia Korvein I believe you forgot to mention that ARK= DEATH.
I've found every possible way to die. Praise the Queen of death.

TIPS FOR MARK.
LIKE SO HE CAN SEE
Official servers broken with end game players. play on a private server.
press e on bushes to collect berries and fiber when you have no tools equipped.
the beaches are safer.
south zone is safest. (Preferably south haven, press h in game to see location)
you have to knock out most things to tame and you need narcotics berries to keep them knocked out with remote use item button.
Herbivores tame with berries
Carnivores tame with meat.
the giant pillars spawn bosses if t you have the right artifacts from caves.
axe gets more hide and wood and stone
pickaxe gets more meat and thatch and flint
being hot drains water while being cold drains food
eating while cold gives a lesser impact
and don't die.
just one minor edit if i may, pressing e with empty hands on a bush gives you fiber and berries.
.
mark, look dis.
This guy said everything I wanted to say.
btw force the unconscious animals to eat the narco berries if their unconsciousness gets low
Markiplier: The cause of the Dodo's extinction.
Ikr
Lol I was gonna say "Well I guess Mark just killed the Dodo Population "
XxDjDavidxX - LOL I guess I beat you too it.

All player: Fighting the dragons , dinos and monsters to level up...
Mark: 4:49
Mark, as someone who's played far too many hours in this game, I would HIGHLY suggest playing this in either single player, start a new server of your own, or play with JUST friends. (not on any existing official, or unofficial servers) The benefits of doing so, would be:
-No lag
-Actual progress in the game (in existing servers, "alpha tribes" enforce their rule, and even if you adhere to their rules, you're highly likely to be raided, or griefed by raiders, or other random people while you're offline)
-No limits, and ability to play as you would like.
I don't want Mark's experience in ARK to be ruined. Please like this, so he sees, and we can enjoy his exploration in ARK.
Ben R I second this
Ben R I commented something similar. Glad to see someone else that understands. This game isn't worth playing multi-player for a TH-camr like Mark, if they plan uploading it that is. The game just demands too much.
Yeah, you dont really loose much playing on a private server with friends

Ark Crash Course:
•Picks get flint, meat, thatch, metal and oil better
•Don't eat the narcoberries.
•Hatchets get stone, hide, wood better
•Don't eat the narcoberries.
•Giant pillar of light is a lootcrate, color indicates level of stuff you can get and level required to open
•Don't eat the narcoberries.
The Nerdtendo Bros. Assgoles still try to stop you from building by throwing shit down randomly ark is pure asshates now

most importantly DON'T EAT THE NARCOBERRIES. XD
Also you forgot don't eat the narcoberries
The character he made reminds me a lot of the grunts from the halo series. The necks, massive forearms, and tiny legs give that image
For some reason it reminds me more of Appsro from Neebsgaming, but I did thumbs up your comment because you are right
Omar Azraq you should see my character gains
After watchinng so many people play ARK and then playing it myself, to find this video and see that mark doesnt know how to engram! I love it.
Here's some more tips I learned while playing ark myself.
1. The axe gets you more hide, stone, and wood
2. The pick gives you more meat, flint, and thatch
3. You get fiber and berries by gathering from plants but you cannot have weapons equipped
4. A sleeping bag can be used as a one-time use spawn point/fast travel. either way, you lose everything you have on you (including armor and anything in quick tab) while beds are permanent but do the same thing
5. The south is one of the easiest places to survive due to it's normalized temperatures but there's still a chance of raptors in the forest and sarcos along the coast, or the beavers
6. Speaking of beavers, their dams are a treasure trove of cementing paste (which is very important when you start making more complicated weapons) but all nearby beavers will attack you. Proceed with caution
7. It is quite helpful
8. Consider getting a mortar and pestle fairly quickly seeing as you can make sparkpoweder (used in fireplaces and such), narcotics (used to knock out dinos for taming) and gunpowder
9. Mateboosted animals are stronger and when attacked, the mate will attack you too (unless they're like dodos and run away, but that's not as likely the bigger the enemy is)
10. Swamps are DANGEROUS. Proceed with caution.
11. Any sizeable body of water is DANGEROUS. proceed with caution.
12. Be mindful of your inventory weight. If you go over it, you will be unable to move at all which can be dangerous if an aggressive dino happens upon you
Narco berries or a narcotic can put them back to sleep. make sure to have plenty on hand
15. Allosaurus' are VERY DANGEROUS!! They travel in packs and will fuck you up! Stay clear at all costs!
Hope this helps
"I got a Greek God neck, long legs like my will to survive, brod narrow chest, some impinge shoulders. I like to call them aerodynamic."
#IstandwithmarksGreekgodneck?
You watched the video too? Amazing
mark dont worry about the towers, at your time in the game it wont effect you but at a higher level you can spawn boss's that give really rare materials
Markiplier in March: I'm gonna beat the _crap_ out of this bird cuz I want to
Markiplier in August: I want to beat the crap out of this bird, but if I do, it'll cost me the good ending to this game I'm playing, so imma leave it be :p

ARK WITH MARK! RHYMES ARE KEY TO SUCCESS, AND YOU, MARK, WILL SUCCEED.
Lana Moore
BECAUSE #WESTANDWITHMARK'STHICCNECK
Mark i have some tips
1.Tame a parasaur just by punching it them when it is knocked out feed it berries you can harvest them from bushes.
2.Build a thach base and a bed so you can respawn in the bed .
3.The parasaur will harvest more berries than you so if you are hungry you can eat the berries that you just harvested.
4.Also the berries give you food and water .
Hope you read this and improve your ARK Knowledge.
Wish I'd known that when I played the first time. I spent 2 hours losing my shirt at the game, for being such a tough beech to figure out.
Berries don't give water only food and stim berries drain thirst
"This feels wrong, but imma keep doing it" - Markiplier, 2017

Brady Kirkpatrick which costs how much a year?
Or use the ARK server manager and host it for free :v
Age dna hi I'm trying to start off my singing channel if you can check it out
yesh, mark look dis look dis. Very good. Public servars bad. End game players own everything. You won't be able to accomplish anything in life if you play dat
Or he just host his own non dedicated server for free.
Character creation: how much neck would you like?
Mark:GET THE HELL OUT OF MY CAR!!!
I'm literally waiting for him to meet the dilophosaurs and raptors
spoopy spoop You mean Zinos, Troodons, and Pegos.
+Tension Therapy pegomastax- the most terrifying thing under 3ft tall
Tension Therapy Fucking troodons. Fucking fuck those things
The_Traceur i hate thoose fucking sarco-like creatures That jump like fucking retards
Octoxite oh yeah, the kapros. I was on my raft in the middle of the ocean when one of those fuckers knocked me off and I proceeded to be eaten alive by said kapro as well as some megalodons.

Dragon Girl hi I'm trying to start off my singing channel if you can check it out

Why did I think that once he would make his character realistic? xD I should know by know that he's just a child in a man's body
Grizzly Gates
He's legitimately a Chidult.
Manchild XD
what are you talking about? he made a perfectly realistic character. It looks just like him
I've been to his meet and greet and it deffo looks like him
Grizzly Gates me2
The amount of nostalgia i got from this video from the times i used to play ark all the time is unmeasurable.
Lukasion hi I'm trying to start off my singing channel if you can check it out
Lukasion Get Bob in on that shot too. I miss the old trio videos. Leave Jack out he wouldn't really get the game.
I hope this get as good as subnautica, Ark has a variety of gaming styles :)
LIKE SO MARK CAN SEE THIS
13:18
brandigler: dont think im scared
Marco: so take ur man pants and put them on again
Marco: and come at me bro
Mark I love you but the chat throughout this is just too much to not pay attention to
I forgot the first rule of watching Markiplier videos do not consume any type of food and/or drink while watching unless you want to ruin your laptop.
Mark character look like some sort of weird titan
Ark is 100% my favorite survival game, hands down.
"giggling at thunder thigh popeye" love this so much lol
The lights in the sky are beacons, or supply drops basically. they can have multiple colors, white, green, blue, purple, yellow, and red. Red being the best and white being the worst. The beacons also have a required level that you must be. White is level 3, green is level 15, blue is level 25, purple is level 35, yellow is level 45, and red is level 60.
I'm dying from the chat in the corner of the screen😂
Kate Brouillette Lmao same
Was anyone else ignoring the gameplay and looking at the flame war in the chatlog?
GoMoTheLawn I totaly blocked out the chat :p
It was great to have something to read while you listened XD

Sky Captain hey that rhymed
primitive spongebob that did rhyme
Sky Captain mark should make a server for him and his subscribers, I would LOVE to play mark with him and wade guys, that's what wade and others do.
_Donnie Darko_ agreed
So, you can go to options and "check mark" the detailed graphics option. The game looks way more amazing than it does currently.
I really hope that this series gets rebooted (all the way to genesis part 1 vanilla no modding until AFTER genesis is done)
0:34 seconds in and I already choked on my hot coffee. Thank you Mark. Now I get to greet clients with a coffee stain on my dress.

Jesus this painful to watch. Then I remember that when I first played this I died an embarassing amount of times because I wasn't gettting close enough to bushes to get berries off them. You go Mark!
you need to attack a dead animal after its dead to get meat and you can harvest bushes to get berrys
