FUN FACT! The duckfoot pistol was invented for captains to defend themselves against mutinies. If a whole gang of angry crewmembers would come barge into the captains quarters he could get out 2 of these and literally point a gun at everyone in the room, as they have 4-5 barrels.

So there's this Pirate with a parrot. And this parrot swears like a sailor, I mean he's a pistol. He can swear for five minutes straight without repeating himself. Trouble is, the pirate who owns him is a quiet, conservative type, and this bird's foul mouth is driving him crazy. One day, it gets to be too much, so the guy grabs the bird by the throat, shakes him really hard, and yells, "QUIT IT!" But this just makes the bird mad and he swears more than ever. Then he gets mad and says, "OK for you." and locks the bird in a cabinet. This really aggravates the bird and he claws and scratches, and when the guy finally lets him out, the bird cuts loose with a stream of invective that would make a veteran pirate blush. At that point, he is so mad that he throws the it into the freezer. For the first few seconds there is a terrible din. The bird kicks and claws and thrashes. Then it suddenly gets _very_ quiet. At first the guy just waits, but then he starts to think that the bird may be hurt. After a couple of minutes of silence, he's so worried that he opens up the freezer door. The bird calmly climbs onto the man's out-stretched arm and says, "Awfully sorry about the trouble I gave you. I'll do my best to improve my vocabulary from now on. By the way, what did the chicken do?"

This info could allow him to possibly impact and improve the development of Blackwake!_* Mark, when you were looking at the melee weapons, it had a message stating that they were listening to the demands of the players who wanted more melee weapons, so there'll be more melee weapons soon. In light of this, since you guys all hate how long it takes to reload, I'd like to suggest a gun that you guys (and others you inform) could attempt to request for them to add. It makes reloading less of a hassle, yet it still fits the era Blackwake takes place in: The "Roman Candle Musket". It's the first automatic firearm ever made. In today's terms, it'd be considered a semi-automatic because it required manual reloading, but it was still the first gunpowder-based weapon that could fire multiple times before needing to reload (the Chinese invented a fully-automatic crossbow before that, but that's not a gun, now is it?). The Roman Candle Musket was a musket that had an internal mechanism allowing it to store multiple musket balls at once (though the maximum number of shots that could be loaded varied based on the manufacturer), which would be ignited and launched one after another once you pulled the trigger, continuously firing in a steady rhythm until all loaded musket balls were fired, all by itself (which meant that the wielder had to use all of the loaded rounds in each volley, but once they got the automatic timing between shots down, they could aim for their next shot before the nxt shot fired on its own). This early method of automatic firing was called the "Roman Candle-style". Sure, it was still a muzzle-loading gun, but all guns were that way back then. Strangely, the Roman Candle Musket never gained much popularity in spite of its superior power during that era. But then again, the Duckfoot pistol was from the same era, and it didn't gain much popularity because its angled barrels didn't include one that shot straight forward. Mark, when you were looking at the melee weapons, it had a message stating that they were listening to the demands of the players who wanted more melee weapons, so there'll be more melee weapons soon.
In light of this, since you guys all hate how long it takes to reload, I'd like to suggest a gun that you guys (and others you inform) could attempt to request for them to add. It makes reloading less of a hassle, yet it still fits the era Blackwake takes place in: The "Roman Candle Musket". It's the first automatic firearm ever made. In today's terms, it'd be considered a semi-automatic because it required manual reloading, but it was still the first gunpowder-based weapon that could fire multiple times before needing to reload (the Chinese invented a fully-automatic crossbow before that, but that's not a gun, now is it?).
The Roman Candle Musket was a musket that had an internal mechanism allowing it to store multiple musket balls at once (though the maximum number of shots that could be loaded varied based on the manufacturer), which would be ignited and launched one after another once you pulled the trigger, continuously firing in a steady rhythm until all loaded musket balls were fired, all by itself (which meant that the wielder had to use all of the loaded rounds in each volley, but once they got the automatic timing between shots down, they could aim for their next shot before the nxt shot fired on its own). This early method of automatic firing was called the "Roman Candle-style". Sure, it was still a muzzle-loading gun, but all guns were that way back then.
Strangely, the Roman Candle Musket never gained much popularity in spite of its superior power during that era. But then again, the Duckfoot pistol was from the same era, and it didn't gain much popularity because its angled barrels didn't include one that shot straight forward. And in spite of that, the Duckfoot's in Blackwake! So, why not the Roman Candle Musket?
(There were also Roman Candle-style rifles, shotguns, and a few other gun types of that era.)
