The first time I saw it there were security guards in the balcony telling us we couldn't dance because we'd shake the building off its foundation. I grew up with Rock n Roll loved Buddy Holly and the Crickets, the Big Bopper Eddie Cochran, Gene Vincent and plenty more. It was a new sound our Radio station in Chicago I believe it was WJJD, played all the latest hits. We listened on the radio and if we could we went to the record shopy and bought a "45" it had a hole om the middle, and we had a yellow plastic disk that fit in the hole so we could play it on our record machine. We lived that music, my sister and I practiced out jitterbug steps in the kitchen with the radio on while doing our supper dishes. Those were the best days of music for us.
