@@steweylilplus,change some of your configs, in-game, like your fov,and viewmodel fov, just go to options, advanced, enable developer console and type "viewmodel_fov 90" and "fov_desired 90"
If you want to understand the 9 classes there are two terrific video series to give you a sense of how they work. People love these videos. 1st is "Meet the team" by the creators, Valve Software. 2nd Is the "How it feels to play" series by LazyPurple.
I suggest googling some basic settings, because the base settings are kinda outdated, for example i suggest changing fov to 90 (if you haven't yet, cant tell) and enabling quick weapon switch

I don't know if you already know this, but ive seen many new players not know this. To effectively rocket jump as soldier you want to walk in the direction you want to rocket jump in, then look behind you, jump, crouch, and fire all at the same time. TF2 is a complicated game with many underlying mechanics, and I hope you continue having fun. (Also i recommend turning hiding custom decals)
If you're interested in learning about the deeper mechanics of rocket jumping, I recommend checking out Soundsmith's "how to trolldier" video And if you want to learn more about demoknight (a subclass of demoman where you forego your explosives for a highly mobile melee-based style), I recommend solar light's "Demoknight's charge is COMPICATED" video
@@steweylil BECAUSE OVERWATCH SOLE EXISTENCE IS CUS OF TF2, overwatch released *almost* 10 YEARS after tf2 overwatch is so much closer to tf2 style then the other way around. Don’t take this as angered vitriol I just was bothered a bit and felt like doing the whole 🤓 thing.

If you ever want to be a helpful medic there is a few settings that can greatly help. 1: automatically calling medic when injured. (Found in advanced option) basically new players that haven’t spent money on the game can’t shout for a medic so when they need medical attention this helps a lot. 2: there is a setting that makes it so you just need to click on someone to keep your beam on them. This can help you not have to always multitask. Hope it helps
tf2 and its 9 classes are easy to pick up but hard to master, take for example sniper (my main), its the only long range class and to be even a lil bit effective you need to hit headshots( basically hit the special hitbox for the head ). There are more special classes/items who have their own mechanic. ALSO LITTLE NOTE: unlike in overwatch NOBODY hard counter another class (pyro vs spy is an exeption).

This is a game you enjoy more when you get good at it or when youngive up on winning and goof around the map. No middle ground
