right!? like, if you REALLY want to destroy a sentry, play soldier or demo. Kill that sentry from a distance and LIVE afterwords FOR SIGNIFICANTLY LESS EFFORT
@@poyloos4834 problem with soldier or demo sometimes is that they can lose to a sentry immediately if the Engineer knows a good spot that gets their sentry out of range. This wouldn't be much of a problem if it was one engineer, but if the enemy team has about 3-4 engineers, it's actually impossible to break through that defense because an engineer will be working on repairing the front sentry with assistance from the sentries at the back and hidden away, thus requiring a medic and good teamwork to pull through. Then the Pybros come in with their flamethrowers and push you away while their medics counter uber. Now it has gone from bad to worse. these videos made me realize spy is more than trickstabs, which in turn made me try it again and actually enjoy it! it actually feels nice when you're NOT going for those
I think you're underestimating the disepenser's importance. While it isnt usually the priority, there ARE definitely times when its the one thing keeping a team in the lead, such as when defending on last, where a large group of power classes are clustered around it. In these instances, the sentry is often located elsewhere as a last ditch defense and the teleporter isnt a factor. Its important to be aware that sometimes, that dispenser IS the thing keeping you from pushing, and taking it out at the perfect moment can completely disrupt the enemy team.
I don't think dispensers are the factor keeping the enemy team on your path. But a dispenser means that if the sentry is destroyed, it can be rebuilt and upgraded in a short time. Therefore destroying the dispenser will prevent the nest from being rebuilt if it loses the sentry too.
The dispenser can also be a wall if you need to slow down the enemy team. I use this strategy on 2fort when I'm the only engineer, and I need to protect both entrances. Edit: Is this what you meant? Am I dumb?
I was considering liking the video after it was finished. The cameo expedited that. Also nothing like a well-known TF2 TH-camr that plays Spy and a well-known TF2 TH-camr that plays Engineer just having a bro moment over random crits.
Although I disagree with your takes on random crits, I love this video. It's very well-made and the visuals are masterfully done. I especially love the team-colored silhouettes.
21:14 was such a missed opportunity to have an ultrakill reference, have the ultrakill boss bar and the style thingy and add the +ENRAGED thing on it!!1!11!1 (also into the fire was in this video yo9 yoooyyooyoodrssfsisis)
15:12 That's why i have a bind that says in team chat "SENTRY DOWN" , it's great when you see at least 1 teammate who had read chat and push to destroy all the remaining. Also , an additional strategy that can be really useful , is that if your team is really aggressive but can't do anything because of a weird placed sentry kept by a good engineer , you should know that the Enforcer is really powerful to destroy sapped sentry because it passes through the resistance given by the sapper , and the first hit deals a lot of damage. It can sometimes work to just focus so hard on the sentry that you destroy it faster than the engineer kills you.
I love the narrative synchronisity of the engineer having a shotgun seemingly coming out of nowhere just like it would blindside you in game to have an engineer actually use their shotgun.
15:30 I have to disagree about the dispenser being lowest priority for sapping. For the engineer’s team it can be less important, but if you destroy everything but a dispenser, that’s almost as little as destroying nothing because the Engineer can often rebuild based off the dispenser alone. In my experience it’s often the most important building to sap, especially if you sap other buildings.
You're editing/comedy style reminds me a lot of martincitopants, in the best way of course, you're really entertaining and I'm glad youtube recommended this video so I could discover you
I want to say I started to finally try TF2 lately and I have found your videos to be EXTREMELY helpful and insightful not just on how to use spy but also how to counter enemy spies. Personally I find more experienced players ridiculously hard to deal with but I have also found interesting ways to deal with them such as when they get super focused on the front lines using cloak and dagger to make my way back to back cap on some game modes, but another one is using 2 spies to jump a really hard hold someone had. I also learned that being disguised before uncloaking and jumping a sentry is incredibly helpful.

Am I dumb?
@@coomcharger6105Technically a last ditch effort, but not wrong. Especially if a power class is next to it.
I was considering liking the video after it was finished.
The cameo expedited that.
Also nothing like a well-known TF2 TH-camr that plays Spy and a well-known TF2 TH-camr that plays Engineer just having a bro moment over random crits.
I really liked how the music for the intro felt like a hybrid between James Bond style music and Western music, another great video
The production quality and comedic timing in the video is on point. Super well done!
Aw, hell, y'all done gone and gave that sneaky rat a damn tutorial.
........*pulls out sapper*
Although I disagree with your takes on random crits, I love this video. It's very well-made and the visuals are masterfully done. I especially love the team-colored silhouettes.
The suspense that the last Spy Psychology will have on production wise and topic wise keeps on rising every day!
21:14 was such a missed opportunity to have an ultrakill reference, have the ultrakill boss bar and the style thingy and add the +ENRAGED thing on it!!1!11!1 (also into the fire was in this video yo9 yoooyyooyoodrssfsisis)
Like a cerb
It was a reference to what happens when you kill the gloom spawn in Tears of The Kingdom
It can sometimes work to just focus so hard on the sentry that you destroy it faster than the engineer kills you.
how do you bind a text message
@@mamanimepranknewbie in the consol : "bind [key] "say_team [phrase here]" "
For me it's : bind [PAGE_UP] "say_team SENTRY DOWN"
@@MINICUBANT thanks!
your editing and pacing had gotten so good youve become one of my fav creators, this is prob my fav vid from you keep up the amazing work man
Didn't expect the wheelchair fanart at the end lmao
Intro alone is million view worthy, TH-cam needs to recommend this more as it has done to me.
12:42 ultrakill music, neuron activiation
blue robor
the editing in this is so great i find myself coming back to rewatch it a lot lol and its only been 3 days
16:46 I've got a feeling I heard this in a WAY earlier Spy Psychology video...
I love the narrative synchronisity of the engineer having a shotgun seemingly coming out of nowhere just like it would blindside you in game to have an engineer actually use their shotgun.
10:51 ENGINEER HAS A SHOTGUN
You think the engineer is defenseless?............. FOOLISH
I don't play either of these classes but my goodness the quality of this video is some movie level production!
Ah yes my favorite Pizza Tower OST "Pimpin' hot stuff"
(The Description)
the creativity to keep making these is astonishing! Thank you for giving me something to watch while i eat at night, truly a life saver.
17:20 "OBAEMA MOE SHINDERIU"
"NANIIIII?!"
DAMN, this video is goated.
I thought you were HintShot.
You're editing/comedy style reminds me a lot of martincitopants, in the best way of course, you're really entertaining and I'm glad youtube recommended this video so I could discover you
10:51 thank you uncle Dane
Impressed by the opening sequence. Good job, editor!
I love using the yer for this 3:31
I love how the ultrakill music just drops at what is pretty much the climax of the video :D
12:47 IS THAT ULTRAKILL MUSIC
I want to say I started to finally try TF2 lately and I have found your videos to be EXTREMELY helpful and insightful not just on how to use spy but also how to counter enemy spies. Personally I find more experienced players ridiculously hard to deal with but I have also found interesting ways to deal with them such as when they get super focused on the front lines using cloak and dagger to make my way back to back cap on some game modes, but another one is using 2 spies to jump a really hard hold someone had. I also learned that being disguised before uncloaking and jumping a sentry is incredibly helpful.
