I recently took down a video regarding this same product, meguiars hybrid ceramic spray wax, because the truth is... it was a bad review. I didn't stay true to what this channel is all about, and for that I apologize. Here, I share my actual thoughts of meguiars ceramic wax hybrid after more testing, and even a little realignment of this channel's values! At the end of the day... this is a fantastic product, at an even more fantastic price.

I was very surprised when you first came so hard down on it. I was one of the early adopters (picked up at wally's world with a $5 rebate) and was very impressed. This stuff is even keeping the heavy pollen here in Louisiana from sticking as much. My wife's car was almost completely yellow from the pollen and mine looks like it has a very light dusting on it. After a recent rainfall, my truck was clean and virtually pollen-free whereas my wives was still substantially coated with pollen. I know that's not a scientific test, but looking at both vehicles side by side it was a striking difference.
His first video was how he truly felt. His second video was how he was “persuaded” to feel 😂😂😂

Excellent virtue in recognizing an error, reversing and correcting the details of MHCW. Nicely done in that respect as well as clarifying anew its features. Nicely done indeed young man. That takes character and integrity. Kudos.
I tried this stuff out a month ago and I was actually surprised by how decent it is. I had low expectations from the start but it keeps my daily driven vehicle much cleaner between washes.

Right after I purchased the Mhcw I went online and saw several videos of people bashing the product and thought “maybe I was scammed” but then actually used it after doing good prep and was thoroughly satisfied. Then like you realized I wasn’t worried about what is was called and what people said. It does everything I want it too, and I only paid like $9.00 with a discount. I’m SOLD!! Thanks for the video.
Yeah , I bashed it but used it and it works great but that turtle wax ice wax spray lasted almost as long.
@@Spiritcr1jsher I use the turtle wax wax as you dry and am a big fan of how easy it is to use. Use it every time I wash my Jeep.
@@truckerrickakamanowar works great and is super slick. I've been using the rest of the ceramic wax on my wife's lease and its also a great as a drying agent but it's not as smooth or shiny .

Since this product repels water, will it help prevent bug guts from setting/sticking to the paint? How does this "protect" the car? In other words. If I use this product, will it help repel dirt and bugs from sticking to my paint? If so, will dirt and bug guts come off with just a simply rinse with a water hose?
Also, does it provide any type of uv protection for my paint? Does it reflect the uv rays?
I see that it repels water. What else will it do for my car?
You may have over applied the wax by using half a bottle just on the hood!

Hell, even Meguiar's recommends only 3 sprays on a Tesla hood. A little goes a long way.
Thanks for the re-review. I find it funny that every review I've seen of this product, everyone always strips the paint first. I'd assume most people will just spray it on over whatever wax they have on their car already. I would hope it works the same.
Maybe because it is no not made for ordinary people. Only for those in the business or people who like to spend time detailing their car.
I would assume you are correct sir. When I used it I did not strip anything commanything, I gave the car a good decontamination wash decontamination wash and applied the product dry using a microfibre applicator. It works well and it's a decent value.
I just used this product today and was amazed at how well it works. Ordered another 2 bottles. I love the cream feeling of it when its dry or when final drying.
Does this change the look of the paint (black) after its been well polished and waxed

When I applied it to my car, I wasn’t impress, My car didn’t look the best, for some reason after 3 days my car was looking like it was wet, the shine was there and my car looks better than ever, haven’t wash my car for a month and still looks good, will continue to use.

I did this on nieces black car and it's leaving spots and streaks after it gets wet. Clay bar and did a swirl removal. Paint was like glass before i applied it.. any suggestions??

I have a question for you..do you treat exterior vinyl before you use it, or just coat over vinyl? I have a brand new f150 and want to make sure my new vinyl is protected from the start.
Luke, thank you for putting this video out. I started watching the one where you were bashing this product and did not get into but a minute before I was interrupted. When I came back to watch it, it was taken down, and I was actually mad I did not hear what you had to say. You see, I had just recently done a bit of research and watched several other reviews that all were very positive about it. I also had just gotten my order of 6 bottles of the product at a pretty decent discount off the regular price. So you can understand why I was relieved to see this. Thanks for all the great reviews and tips, they are very much appreciated.

I love it. I used Meguiar’s carnuba high class on one of my vehicles and then used the hybrid ceramic wax on another. Just to see the difference. And the ceramic hybrid is killing the conventional by far. More beading. It’s got a gloss to it I’ve never seen before and I love. And it’s so much easier to apply. I’ll never go back. Well maybe I’ll do both cause the conventional is pretty dang good in my book. Lol
I use it every weekend and now I have built layers and have a great shine...and truthfully it works... it rained last week and the truck looks clean... yes some spots are dirty but I've noticed the difference.. also when washing the dirt and grime are easily removed...
Do you think this product can be used in a similar way to the synthetic x wax spray? For example on plastic and rubber.
I absolutely LOVE that he's applying it his own way and not following the manufacturer's recommendations.

I think you're using WAY more product than needed. No need to cover the entire surface with the spray. 2-3 squirts per panel.

Just used this on my car after a one step and it looks great. Doesn’t haze like other waxes. Seems to be a very durable product.
Can you spray it on there for the car is already dried? Or do you have to spray it on when the car is wet and dry it at the same time?

I used meguiars professional interior detailer. I got some of it on my windshield. It's left a film on the glass. Is there something you would suggest to remove this?
The problem I have with “ceramic” coating claims is not knowing how much SIO2 is contained in a product. Here’s an analogy. You go buy your favorite motor oil you have the choice of petroleum based, synthetic or a blend. If you choose the blend, that oil company can add one drop of synthetic oil into a quart of petroleum oil and charge you an extra $20 for an oil change. Did that one drop of synthetic oil make it a “blend?” Yes. But I see the same issue with these so called ceramic spray coatings. How much SIO2 is really in there? It only takes one drop of SIO2 and a marketing campaign to sell a ceramic spray coating. When these companies don’t tell you the concentration percentages, you never know what you’re buying. Luke, I think you made that point very clear in your deleted video. I’m not ripping on Meg’s Ceramic Spray because I’ve never used it. But, look at TAC Systems Moonlight who guarantee 20-25% or Gyeon Can Coat that guarantees 12% plus of SIO2. Their marketing is much more transparent. When these companies just call their products “ceramic” spray coatings, there is tons of wiggle room and it’s very difficult to know how much SIO2 you are actually paying for. Like I said, one drop of SIO2 in a 26 oz bottle gives them the right to call it a “ceramic.” One drop of synthetic oil per quart gives companies the right to call it a “blend.”

Can you apply it when it's dry or does it have to be wet to apply
I did my own test on this spray wax and found it really does work and last. Maybe there is a better spray wax, but I have not found it. My cars do have a ceramic coat prior to using this spray--it only enhanced the shine.
Thanks Luke for giving it a chance and also for not bashing Pan or any other TH-camr! yes it's definitely not a ceramic coating, pure marketing on their part. Is it a good product for the price? Absolutely. Is it the best ceramic spray out there? No. Great video man...Just fyi I think you used a tad too much the second time around...4-5 sprays for hood, 1-2 sprays per panel...that way you don't go through so much and it's much easier to spray off after.

Tempted to try this out. I've recently started using the famous jescar power lock and collinite 845 combo, but was thinking of using this on top 1x a month, with chemical guys v07 as my maintenance spray. The only problem is, you seemed to use A LOT of product. I know there's a special procedure for the initial application where you use more, but do you need to use that much to maintain it? Thanks and great video!
Special procedure is as follows, comma clean and dry car completely. Apply apply HCW to a microfiber sponge applicator.. Let's set a minute then buff off. You're All done.
What is your definition of a pre prep before application? Any special soap solution needed for a wash prep?

I have a ceramic coating (Igl kenzo) which has great self cleaning abilities. My dark color car stays cleaning longer
But in looking for a ceramic spray that has self cleaning abilities as well.
What about fingerprints and streaks during the week after the product has been applied?? Do you notice fingerprints on the doors and stuff.
ForExample, our use the technique ceramic spray on top of my ceramic coating, and I noticed that very next day, my kids fingerprints can be seen all along the door handles and on the windows and all. ............. However when I use topcoat F11 sealant spray, this product really is streak free and I do not see any fingerprints or oily streaks at all during the week.
Do you notice any of these attributes with Meguiars???

The problem is that the previous video wasn't a mistake. It was quite upfront and honest. This video looks as if he was paid off to say something he didn't originally intend as what was shown in the first video but noone will know that since that bit of evidence is gone.

Actually that's not true. You can be sued for defamation if what you say about a product is false and made to appear as if it were true. In a video it would be called slandering, in text form it would be libel.
JonFFavale true but, if it is your opinion about a product libel and slander is very difficult to prove unless it’s flat out completely proven false. A product like this would be very difficult. I did not see the original video so I can’t say for sure.

I used the new 2019 Ver, of meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax today, applying the initial base coat, I applied it using a Microfiber Pad, it buffed out very good, no streaks at all. Did a water test & was blown away, it showed superior water sheeting & beading. I just love this product, it's a big winner.
I did not see you first video on this product, but there are a lot of detailer's who are enjoying this new products benefits. You should watch the Apex Detailing video review of this new ceramic wax.

Not saying it'll last as long as a real "traditional" ceramic coat but should last longer than the hybrid wax. If I can get 6 months of protection out of just a spray count me in.
Exactly Adams’s polish is 3x the price of this product, this product is actually very good to the average consumer. There’s literally no point to hate a product that does its job. At least you owned up to it. Go review Adams ceramic coating that costs so much more. Thank you for actually taking the time to prove you were wrong.

Yeah, for 3-4 times the cost of HCW for the Adam's which basically ended up neck and neck with HCW in Brian's (Apex Detail) comparing those 2, he would be better off going with Tac Systems Moonlight.
I just applied this to my wife’s BMW 750Li. It really works. I normally use a carnauba spray wax and after a few drives on a sunny day or driving through a rain storm, the car looks like it was never washed. I applied this hybrid ceramic wax per the instructions and the car looks great even after driving through two intense rainstorms. I also put it on her wheels and there is much less brake dust. This stuff is expensive but worth it.
Hey, I bought this product today and washed and used this spray was after rinsing. This shines the paint really well. But I’m some spots it leaves a visible residue. On all my windows it left a residue that was hard to come off with my window cleaner. I did dry my car after using this too.
Ignore the instructions, apply the product onto a clean dry car using a microfibre applicator. Buff off and you're finished. I use it on glass all the time in this manner and get no residue.

I used this on my uncles 350z n did a super basic detail nothing crazy, washed clay bared then applied the spray n it came out super nice n I'm liking it so far
I tried this on my CTS-V and will never use it again.. please review what this looks like on chrome and windows when spray on and rinse off?? this left a cloudy film on windows and chrome.

Put this on my wrx. Had a layer of spray wax under it. I now have some streaking. How do i get it off without swirling my paint?
Dallas Williams you should have completely decontaminated the paint tbh. At least stripped the wax.
You could try a clay bar, and see if it works. But I would have used a clay bar from jump. You want the ceramic coat to be the foundation on top of the paint/clear not spray wax.
Stupid question but doesn't beading up mean surface tension holding on to the water? When I did detailing my goal was to have water run off, not cling to the paint in beads. Maybe I just did it better? Just saying. ;-)

I had an issue when using the product for the first time. I had a hard time getting it off after following the directions for the first time application. I really had to rub vigorously with multiple microfiber towels to get it off. I will say I did not strip my prior wax off the car because they say you don’t have to.
Now I cant trust him....if the first video represented his true feelings. This was a cop out. If this video is what he truly believes...the first one was what exactly?
