I used the new 2019 Ver, of meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax today, applying the initial base coat, I applied it using a Microfiber Pad, it buffed out very good, no streaks at all. Did a water test & was blown away, it showed superior water sheeting & beading. I just love this product, it's a big winner. I did not see you first video on this product, but there are a lot of detailer's who are enjoying this new products benefits. You should watch the Apex Detailing video review of this new ceramic wax.
Thanks for the re-review. I find it funny that every review I've seen of this product, everyone always strips the paint first. I'd assume most people will just spray it on over whatever wax they have on their car already. I would hope it works the same.
I would assume you are correct sir. When I used it I did not strip anything commanything, I gave the car a good decontamination wash decontamination wash and applied the product dry using a microfibre applicator. It works well and it's a decent value.
In this trade, we professionals must be very careful and humble, the marketing is ginormous.... and most of the times it isn't about the "car ,but about of who's driving." I use one line of products only, and I'm happy.... tks Wilson and keep up the good job.
I love it. I used Meguiar’s carnuba high class on one of my vehicles and then used the hybrid ceramic wax on another. Just to see the difference. And the ceramic hybrid is killing the conventional by far. More beading. It’s got a gloss to it I’ve never seen before and I love. And it’s so much easier to apply. I’ll never go back. Well maybe I’ll do both cause the conventional is pretty dang good in my book. Lol
I tried it last sunday 7/28/19. I was pissed afterwards..... I did t think it was any good. The next morning after the big rain, my car was almost totally dry. I live in Florida, and could not believe how great it looked. It rained today while I was at work, and the rain basically just fell off. I love this stuff, going to use it again tomorrow on the wifes car
Actually that's not true. You can be sued for defamation if what you say about a product is false and made to appear as if it were true. In a video it would be called slandering, in text form it would be libel.
JonFFavale true but, if it is your opinion about a product libel and slander is very difficult to prove unless it’s flat out completely proven false. A product like this would be very difficult. I did not see the original video so I can’t say for sure.
There isn't anything a company can do to anyone who gives a product a bad review legally Only thing they can do is ask you to reconsider it and maybe even give to a few goodies. Freedom of Speech
@@MrRedex88 freedom of speak has it's limitations. You still can't say something false about the product on purpose. You can say you don't like it, or that something else is better. But if you start lying about what's in the bottle or the chemicals used they can sue you if it's false info.
I just applied this to my wife’s BMW 750Li. It really works. I normally use a carnauba spray wax and after a few drives on a sunny day or driving through a rain storm, the car looks like it was never washed. I applied this hybrid ceramic wax per the instructions and the car looks great even after driving through two intense rainstorms. I also put it on her wheels and there is much less brake dust. This stuff is expensive but worth it.
I wasn't able to watch the previous video prior to it being removed, but I must say... It takes a real man and strong believer to have that type of discernment, apologise, and say that he was wrong for what he did. You're a great person, Luke. I, for one, appreciate your honesty and transparency. Pay no mind to the people that, even after this video, STILL find it necessary to say mean things because of what you just publicly apologized for. Same for the people that say this makes you "weak" or whatever. These people must not know what it is to be a real man. You can't please everyone in this crazy world. Either way, the ones that are appreciative of this post very obviously outweigh the ones that are being ugly about it. Keep being exactly who you are!
Psst, hey Pal, lemme give ya a tip. Ultimate Fast Finish, then HCW base layer. Instead of spray on , rinse off, I use HCW as a “wax as you dry” after washing. It takes me 30 minutes to do my truck, love it and love UFF/HCW.
On a brand new car without any correction or decon, after a strip wash, dry and carpro eraser, I wiped it on with a damp cloth then buffed dry. I didn't follow that with a rinse off or the suggested spray-on-hose-off application. The car just had its first wash. I was gobsmacked on it's hydrophobic properties and extreme sickness when drying the car.
Being able to admit you're wrong, and to make a genuine apology, these are characteristics we should cherish more in our society. There is nothing wrong about being wrong. Mistakes are the greatest teachers.
I use both green , blue Meguiars ceramic products. Follow the instructions on the back label, both are ok products. Lately, I found this 3 in one product form turtle, it is the best Sioci I have ever got! Try it! Fantastic product, also has more volume than Meguiar!❤❤❤
@@daniksautodetailing3085 Perhaps to 'show' the proof of how you were wrong since this is youtube. Besides this new video is quite biased from how it was portrayed in the previous video
Why show proof if WAD is reliable and non sugar coated? He has nothing to hide. He makes a claim and proves it. He is honest. He explained his mistake in this video very well. I'm not a band wagon fan, I genuinely trust Luke. If God is within Luke, then only the truth speaks. And sorry but all 7 billion people on earth are humans. Meaning Luke made a mistake. And so what? Well Luke learned from it. And you know what else? The viewer learned too! Try something, make mistakes, learn, repeat. That is how you become better and how to reach success. Sorry for this mini rant. Kindest regards :)
@@daniksautodetailing3085 The problem is that the previous video wasn't a mistake. It was quite upfront and honest. This video looks as if he was paid off to say something he didn't originally intend as what was shown in the first video but noone will know that since that bit of evidence is gone. Perhaps you can take it up with God to have Luke tell the truth the first time since God knew he was going to make the mistake.
My 1st impression of this product was that it sucked and I wanted my money back. That was until I realized that I couldn't stick duct tape to my paint and so now I use it for everything like sprain down my lawnmower so I no longer have to deal with all of grass buildup because nothing sticks to it anymore!
I've been using it on the following color vehicles with fantastic results: Black, Gray, Yellow, Dark Red and Bright Blue. Zero complaints, great beading and the best part is being able to just spray it all over (not worrying about getting it on trim). It's a little expensive for how quickly you go through a bottle would be my only complaint if I had to find one-
Except that what he does is exactly what it says on the bottle, wash the car, apply while wet, and wipe off on first time use.. then you can rinse it off in the next wash. So whats up?
I am not a professional detailer like you are!! I wasn't going to try this product because I trust what you say!! I looked at other videos and people were saying the opposite!! I figured for the money I'd give it a try!! I don't know what your problem was with this product but is very hydrophobic!! It lasts a long time and sheets and Beads water extremely well!!
I picked up this product because I was wanting something different. After trying it two times, I fucking love it. I prefer it over Technicians spray. I was blown away by the beading and shine.
I use this a few weeks ago on my dad's car I'm super impressed I didn't us it on a wet Surface like this video but man it works I use a different ceramic spray on my car that's alot easier to use then this stuff but for the price and availability I would recommend
Thank you for stepping up and doing the right thing. I don't know why so many people want to think you were forced to do this by lawyers. But, the fact is that we all change our mind. And I've got two divorces to prove that... :D
I’ve changed how I apply this now. After rinsing the car, I spray the ceramic wax on the car and spread it over all the panels with a microfiber towel. Then I rinse it off and dry it off. The longevity seems even better and the shine is just as good when used this way.
I watched your original video and was really surprised in the way you bashed the product! I saw many comments and I also left a comment about how you were wrong. You have to swallow your pride and admit when you are wrong sometimes. Just don’t let another person make up your mind for you. This is a great product at an affordable price for the average car guy. You are right it doesn’t matter what is in it and that was the point of my video also. What matters is that it works!
I also use this product on my door panels and leather seats. I just sprayed and wiped after washing. I did not do the steps.mainley cause my cars are 30+ year old daily drivers. It also works good for other things, such as wiping my old cds when I want to listen to them. Cause I am into old amplifiers. It gives my old onkyo amplifiers a nice shine.
Not saying it'll last as long as a real "traditional" ceramic coat but should last longer than the hybrid wax. If I can get 6 months of protection out of just a spray count me in.
Exactly Adams’s polish is 3x the price of this product, this product is actually very good to the average consumer. There’s literally no point to hate a product that does its job. At least you owned up to it. Go review Adams ceramic coating that costs so much more. Thank you for actually taking the time to prove you were wrong.
@@naderabouhassan3875 Yeah, for 3-4 times the cost of HCW for the Adam's which basically ended up neck and neck with HCW in Brian's (Apex Detail) comparing those 2, he would be better off going with Tac Systems Moonlight.
Wouldn't surprise me if someone from legal or the company reached out to him.. he was definitely over-the-top about his review previously. It's one thing to not like a product but it's an entirely other thing to claim they are lying about their proprietary ingredients etc. Lesson to be learned... if you don't like a product and you're demonstrating why, let the results speak for itself.. don't get all excessive about it and make allegations the company is lying etc... Wilson is young... he's learning.. doesn't make him a bad guy... he's smart enough to right his wrong etc...
Now I cant trust him....if the first video represented his true feelings. This was a cop out. If this video is what he truly believes...the first one was what exactly?
Okay then go away... clearly the first one was a first time reaction.. he didn't give it time to show durability. If you can't trust people for changing their mind, and honestly doing do, then everyone you know will be a disappointment to you.
At 8 minutes and 37 seconds you describe that the hose is forcing the water off the car. I have watched MANY videos about hydrophobic properties of products, with demonstrations, and I have been saying that to myself for a **LONG** time. You are the --==**FIRST**==-- car detailing video publisher to mention the fact that the water spray is forcing the water off. Good job! At 8 minutes and 45 seconds you demonstrate a "rain sort of thing" ... "so that's kind of more realistic". I have watched hundreds of car detailing and paint coating/sealing videos and ... ... you are the --==**FIRST**==-- car detailing video publisher to mention actual rain ==AND== actually demonstrate in a video what actual precipitation would look like on the treated surface. Again...good job!
I used this on my uncles 350z n did a super basic detail nothing crazy, washed clay bared then applied the spray n it came out super nice n I'm liking it so far
Good product for low end details or people that don’t have any clue about protecting their vehicle. To many of these products flood the market. I like how you mentioned water beading does not equal protection. To many people forgot that. “Use what you like and use it often” (those are the words of Larry Kosilla)
Carpro reload, gyeon cure, ammo skin, ammo reflex, polymer net shield, coatings like cquart, gyeon, gtech, beadmaker (which is much cheaper than this product, ammo hydrate, collinite 845, jescar powerlock, American detailer garage “valor” and even megs fast finish that you can buy the same place as this product. Many other spray sealants that are on the market.
Thanks for your honestly man. I’ve used this product and have been very pleased with the results. I can see this product doubling in cost as it becomes popular just as Meguiars fast finish did, which sucks.

I put it on my car last year. My car was washed 10 times last year. I put this product 5 times since last year and my car still shine and water beading is excellent. I'm at half of bottle now (I don't use too much product). Good product ! But DON'T PUT IT ON WINDSHIELD, VERY BAD IDEA !!!!
Lol....first video was the truth. You got a call like Scott. They offered you something and you switched. Now you are trying to explain the way they want you to.
I've never had a product bead as well as this does. I got it at Walmart for 13$ but there was a 5$ rebate. Couldn't pass it up for that. I'm very pleased
It’s a great product. You have to apply correctly. It’s Meguiars. Nuff said. I can only find it at advanced auto right now. My only complaint is that it is associated with DuPont. Search “The Devil we know.”
Since this product repels water, will it help prevent bug guts from setting/sticking to the paint? How does this "protect" the car? In other words. If I use this product, will it help repel dirt and bugs from sticking to my paint? If so, will dirt and bug guts come off with just a simply rinse with a water hose? Also, does it provide any type of uv protection for my paint? Does it reflect the uv rays? I see that it repels water. What else will it do for my car?
Luke, thank you for putting this video out. I started watching the one where you were bashing this product and did not get into but a minute before I was interrupted. When I came back to watch it, it was taken down, and I was actually mad I did not hear what you had to say. You see, I had just recently done a bit of research and watched several other reviews that all were very positive about it. I also had just gotten my order of 6 bottles of the product at a pretty decent discount off the regular price. So you can understand why I was relieved to see this. Thanks for all the great reviews and tips, they are very much appreciated.
Glad to see this channel growing! Keep up the awesome work man, still try to catch some of these videos at work from time to time, so glad you’re still at it 💪🏻
I recently purchased this product at Walmart and it really does work as stated. I would like to see a comparison with another product that I like, which is, Turtle Wax Ice Spray Wax. They are both fantastic products for the price and readily available everywhere.
People i like Meguiers if you use the products as directed they work, the issues are how much time pases vefore you wax or polish or protect between each time, how many weeks go by, well in my cars history i have only used meguiers soft gel car wash and then dry and then apply quick detailer and once fast finish and to date the car still has the hydrophobic effect when water touches it even when there's a lite dust cover all over the car, so the products do work and as a disabled person i want to use the products which give me the best possible outcome and the best time frame before i need to wash and easy of application to keep my Holden SSV redline looking good, but in saying this, the new meguiers wheel cleaner, you will only get tow applications if you spray onto the wheels to get them 90 to 95% clean and go over the painted wheels with fast finish or the spray on detailer even, it still protects the wheels and makes cleaning easier, where as Bowdens wheel cleaner is more cost effective and a lot cheaper, meguiers wheel cleaner is around $35.00 and dowdens is around $20.00 but bowdens i can do my card wheels three times before i need to buy a bottle, so again its about the ease of application and between maintenance washes, its very easy for me and cost effective, putting a ceramic coating IMO is a total waste of time and money, unless your company car needs it and even then the front of the car is still going to get stone chips no matter what you do, unless you pay for the front of the car to get a vinyl wrap, even then it will still get stone chips or dents, so you cant will, but will make easier to sell when the time comes full stop ? so Far i have spent all up since having the car about $200.00 dollars to keep it clean over 3.5 years, not bad considering the car is mostly outside and i drive it in the rain and its in the Harsh Australian Sun in summer months and yet you can shave from the reflection the paint has. :)
So why would you bash something in the 1st place without giving it an honest shot? Only to come back and rave about how good it really is? Hmmm I smell Meguiars all over this!!!
exactly. I was just going to say this in my comment when I came across yours. why bash a product if you didn't do your homework? this is the kind of thing that takes away credibility.
Dallas Paint Correction had a very similar review to this product as you. I still suspect that Meguires somehow got to you. Your my favorite detail guy. Don't let Merguires bully you!
I still think some of your original arguments have merit. I hate it when companies are purposely deceptive. There’s a company (who shall remain anonymous) out there that claims that their products are eco-friendly but looking at the product SDS, it is clear that most of them are definitely not. Much respect for someone that can admit that they’re wrong.
You should have cleaned, then applied it to dry paint and buffed it around the hood... if you did, it lasts like 6 + months even after washes. It takes it to another level.

Maybe because it is no not made for ordinary people. Only for those in the business or people who like to spend time detailing their car.
Scott called. He says he is not pleased.
And?
I couldn’t believe these two guys are buds. Complete opposites . I really enjoy Luke’s videos and demeanor .
😂😂
@@G17-911 they are both the same lol
Mate it’s fantastic to see someone admit when they have done something wrong. I rate you , great job mate.
This sounds like me apologizing to my wife after forgetting to get the milk on the grocery store run.
can relate🤣🤣
Same my good sir. Same. Lmao 🤣
I apply it to a clean dry car with a microfibre applicator. Both often buff off immediately.. Works good looks good no problems
No company can force you to remove a negative review of their product. Lawyers had nothing to do with this, that would be illegal
Thank you hahahhaa😂😂 you’d think Americans would be more aware of the whole freedom of speech thing
There isn't anything a company can do to anyone who gives a product a bad review legally
Only thing they can do is ask you to reconsider it and maybe even give to a few goodies.
Meguiar’s hit you up huh 😂
UnKnownChurro or gonna sue 😂
This is what I came here to say lol. This was my thought too
Yep for sure the hit him up
UnKnownChurro hahaha if Meguiars was hitting me up I’d be making a lot more money 😂😂😂
More like he been hitting up that meth pipe n talking shit
I mix WD-40 3/4 ratio to water. The water beading is incredible! Only downside is the smell and slippery door handles. The car is squeaky clean.
In that case every man is a " real" men when a double barrel gun pointing on your head.
How you gon. Wash in the sun. And have a man-bun
How you gon nah make a complete sentence?
😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
The man bun and the bro-hug have to go.
Sounds like eminem lyrics to me lol
On a brand new car without any correction or decon, after a strip wash, dry and carpro eraser, I wiped it on with a damp cloth then buffed dry. I didn't follow that with a rinse off or the suggested spray-on-hose-off application.
The car just had its first wash. I was gobsmacked on it's hydrophobic properties and extreme sickness when drying the car.
Glad Corey Feldman found a new line of work.
Being able to admit you're wrong, and to make a genuine apology, these are characteristics we should cherish more in our society. There is nothing wrong about being wrong. Mistakes are the greatest teachers.
Thank you for being honest! Everyone makes a mistake!
I use both green , blue Meguiars ceramic products. Follow the instructions on the back label, both are ok products. Lately, I found this 3 in one product form turtle, it is the best Sioci I have ever got! Try it! Fantastic product, also has more volume than Meguiar!❤❤❤
Luke you're a man. You freaking own your mistakes! Unlike other youtubers. Other TH-camrs would not have the courage to upload this video.
Then why didn't he man up and maintain the first video
@@obliviondio why would you chose to keep a wrong answer on a quiz when you realize that the answer is wrong?
@@daniksautodetailing3085
Perhaps to 'show' the proof of how you were wrong since this is youtube.
@@daniksautodetailing3085
The problem is that the previous video wasn't a mistake.
Ha ha ha Meguiars legal team been on the phone by any chance ???!! Lol. i love this product
I've been using it on the following color vehicles with fantastic results: Black, Gray, Yellow, Dark Red and Bright Blue. Zero complaints, great beading and the best part is being able to just spray it all over (not worrying about getting it on trim). It's a little expensive for how quickly you go through a bottle would be my only complaint if I had to find one-
I will be giving this product a try this weekend !
I absolutely LOVE that he's applying it his own way and not following the manufacturer's recommendations.
Even though he said he did....
Lmao
Except that what he does is exactly what it says on the bottle, wash the car, apply while wet, and wipe off on first time use.. then you can rinse it off in the next wash. So whats up?
Letrickz he used way too much of the product
I am not a professional detailer like you are!! I wasn't going to try this product because I trust what you say!! I looked at other videos and people were saying the opposite!! I figured for the money I'd give it a try!! I don't know what your problem was with this product but is very hydrophobic!! It lasts a long time and sheets and Beads water extremely well!!
Thank you for reconsidering this awesome product
I picked up this product because I was wanting something different. After trying it two times, I fucking love it. I prefer it over Technicians spray. I was blown away by the beading and shine.
Nice to see the check cleared
On the bottle it says spray on while car is wet then wash off and dry.
Did Maguairs give you a script to read from 😂
I watched your original video and was really surprised in the way you bashed the product!
Two years ago I sat down with the Maguires team and we talked about making this spray on Wax I am very proud of this product. And stand behind it.
Better go back to the drawing board!
🧢 🧢 🧢 🤣
I also use this product on my door panels and leather seats. I just sprayed and wiped after washing. I did not do the steps.mainley cause my cars are 30+ year old daily drivers. It also works good for other things, such as wiping my old cds when I want to listen to them. Cause I am into old amplifiers. It gives my old onkyo amplifiers a nice shine.
Please make fun of Adams 9h ceramic spray coating 😂😂😂. It’s not a true coating
I'd say its a step up from the Meguiars. At least it has some kind of rainbow effect when applying.
Mike Y but it’s also 3x the price
@@naderabouhassan3875
Yeah, for 3-4 times the cost of HCW for the Adam's which basically ended up neck and neck with HCW in Brian's (Apex Detail) comparing those 2, he would be better off going with Tac Systems Moonlight.
Scott bley got in his ear.
It was a rush to judgement. Just like we all did in the Jessie Smollett case. Ok, maybe a bad example.
@@SWAGURA True. That Scott is a bad influence lol
Yeah, which video is truth?

You've got tight water beads on your untreated windshield too. Just saying.
I just used this today, I am very happy with the results
Yeaaa let me dump half a bottle on the hood alone, great product. At that cost, you may as well get actual ceramic coating.
Good product for low end details or people that don’t have any clue about protecting their vehicle.
To many of these products flood the market. I like how you mentioned water beading does not equal protection. To many people forgot that. “Use what you like and use it often” (those are the words of Larry Kosilla)
What other products do you use for actually protecting a vehicle?

Dude what kind of email did they send you?
I think it was something just shy of the passover.
D.A.D I’m happy with it also. A professional detailer told me my car looks great today
When the direct deposit finally hits..
It’s a great product. You have to apply correctly. It’s Meguiars. Nuff said. I can only find it at advanced auto right now. My only complaint is that it is associated with DuPont. Search “The Devil we know.”
I'm gonna make a rival product called 'Tight Beads'. Who's in?
Since this product repels water, will it help prevent bug guts from setting/sticking to the paint? How does this "protect" the car? In other words. If I use this product, will it help repel dirt and bugs from sticking to my paint? If so, will dirt and bug guts come off with just a simply rinse with a water hose?
Also, does it provide any type of uv protection for my paint? Does it reflect the uv rays?
I see that it repels water. What else will it do for my car?
LOL, "say "it works" one thousand times or we take your channel down
Lmao...facts
Nice to see someone admit he was wrong. That is what integrity is all about.
Have you guys ever heard of the word called slander.
I just received my $5.00 rebate check from Meguiar's, nice! This is the first time I have actually received a rebate check as most companies never do.
seems like a lot of product wasted applying it that way to me...
Dam Luke how much did Meguires pay you ??? Some big bucks man 😂😂😂lol I’m joking hope you doin well tho god bless

Only to come back and rave about how good it really is?
Hmmm
I smell Meguiars all over this!!!

“ it works it works “ lmao yea definitely getting paid lmao
You should have cleaned, then applied it to dry paint and buffed it around the hood... if you did, it lasts like 6 + months even after washes. It takes it to another level.
