Hey Parker if you haven't heard already, two guys starting up the old u.s. amps company and redesigning and configurations and want guys to test out their product. They haven't finished putting out a demo version yet but they're getting close to it. They were talking some very good specifics and some very good points about running stereo one ohm and the bass amps being able to produce down to 1/4 ohm
Those smart bass 8ks have rail capacitors so it makes it to were you really cannot clip the amp or it will limit the amount of power you can put out the amp so it's almost impossible to blow it.
I really don’t get the “Tiffany style RCA” complaint that all of the TH-camrs throw at any of the amps that dont have them. I have 3 of the bass8ks in my demo build and I’ve daily driven it for over 2 years now with zero amp issues and Dec no rca issues. I’ve had amps with them and notice no difference at all, hell I even had an rca break off in a Tiffany before and had to push it out from the inside. But I always just plug them in and that’s that. Never understood why people care so much. It’s part of what keeps the cost so affordable through taramps and it’s IMO a perfect trade off for something so un noticeable and negligible to most, such as the rca inputs, and tuning knobs. 💁🏼♂️ but good review as always man! No hate intended either man, just felt the need to finally say something lol.
The smart line of taramps is the only line I think is worth the $. I have a mix of spl and sq. I swap subs and amps out for competition. So I've got 2 smart5's and 2 synergy wfo 3ks. People say they can't tell the difference and to that I'll say depends on your build

Definitely Looking Into Taramps For When My Digital Designs M5 Dies... If It Ever Dies hahah Its Been 5 Years In My Daily Driver And I Bought It Used. Longest Lasting Amp Ive Ever Owned. I Have A Taramps 2k 4 Channel And Its Great. Ive Had It For About 2 Years, Only Issue I Have With That One Is It Doesn't Turn On When Its 40F Or Lower. I Contacted Taramps And They Blew Me Off And Said The Amp Was Physically Freezing The Contacts Inside. My DD M5 Works 40F And Below. I Think Its A Glitch With Their Thermal Protection. Anyway I Run My Subs At 0.5Ohm But Id Like To Series Parrallel Them To 2 Ohm For Better Efficiency/ Stronger Motor Force So That Way Its Less Strain On My Electrical. Right Now Its Hard To Keep the Voltage Up Full Tilt And I Have 2 Mechman 320 Amp Each On A Seperate 6 Rib Belt. The 8 Banks Of Ultra Caps Help With The Hits And Burps But Once They Are Drained From Contstant Tones Its Iffy. My Lower Tuning Port Also Rises My Impedance From 0.5 Ohms To Around 6 Ohms Which Is Kind Of Nice Becasue It Hardly Takes Any Power From Amp And Electical Yet The Bass Goes Nuts On Like 3000 Watts hahah.
Love the videos man keep it up. Its funny I just had 2 15 and a taramps smart 5k stolen a couple weeks ago and I've been dying to get another system was gonna go with the 8k taramps soon as I get the extra money but it looks like its gonna be awhile 😢😢 I can't stand when people steal
These are the exact same as the smart 5 bass, just more power obviously. They both have tue dual inputs and all that. These amps are pretty much bulletproof.
Hell the 20k might not even be enough. 8 3k drivers so 24k just to put rated power to them. Those 4" coils need about 5-6k each just to really move them.
@@Basshertz94 well hopefully he learned not to push it this time. Marts and any other Sound digital board amp is not made to handle it as well as Taramps and Banda.

I’m wondering if the amp casing on the smart series is still conductive and may lead to ruining the amp like you had issues with before with your Bass 8k amps? Did Taramps fix this issue as well? My MD12000.1 is being repaired because that same thing happened to me. Awesome video as always Parker!

I HAVE A QUESTION, THAT'S A SMART 8K WITH (1 INPUT) AND (1 OUTPUT) RCA CONNECTORS,WHY IS THERE ONE SET OF RCA CONNECTORS PULLED IN THE AMPLIFIER WHEN YOU NEED A 1-Male to 2-female splitter to use those types of amplifier?
Has anyone here ever heard of a rotary subwoofer? I just found out about these. They can go as low as 1hz that's insane. I'd love to see content on one of these.

What dual 10's would you recommend for deep hard hitting bass, ct messo, American bass xfl, lord of bass, or which sub under $300 each. Which amp would be best for wire down to 1ohm ? Box too?
Hey Parker, I hope all is well. I was curious have you also checked the SPL of the 20K Deaf Bounce amp with that set up ? Was it also around 152 DB ? Could you hear any difference in the sound quality when playing music between the two different amps ? I also noticed the woofer in the back corner the work table for size reference is that a 4000 series Deaf Bounce? Could you tell me the model # ? I really enjoyed the video when you compared the 1200 watt Taramp to the 8000 watt Taramp. With only a 6 DB increase in SPL Thanks for all of your hard work even though I know it's something you love to do. Trust me after 50 years I GET IT ###
@MichaelBloesel- Even though the math= on paper, say's you should gain 3Db from double the power, i usually see about 2 Db, per doubling. So 1,200 x 2= 2,400= +2Db, 2,400 x 2= 4,800= +2Db, and 4,800 x 2= 9,600 = +2Db. It's not exact, as every system/scenario will be diff., and it's more prob. To get 3Db from very low power, and as higher power happens, you get into diminishing return's, with power compression, and such.
make sure you have the correct airspace just cause you can run 4 8s in your truck doesn’t mean it’s gonna play as good as 2 8s with the correct air space. it’s all in the box to make your subs play good
you can never go wrong with DB and any of their products. So going with one of their amp, of course I would love to see you with real amps. Now, why not go with two JP83's since you like two 8k's? Size would work, better quality and SQ, and definitely more power than 8k, testing above 10k. As for the JP 4 channel or stereo amps, far superior to Taramps for the mids and highs. Better Bass Knob as well.
I would sure like to see a review about the difference in sound quality. and with box rise apparent in all subs do you think the JP 83 can handle a .5 or 1 ohm load or put out 8k at 2 ohms for 1/2 the price?
@@MichaelBloesel the JP83 can definitely handle a 0.5ohm load with ease, and does over 20k at it as well. Does it do 8k at 2ohn no. The JP83 was dyno tested at a resistive load 0.5 and didn't go into protect. Many that use the JP83 use it at 0.5 to 0.8 because of rise. And with it doing over 11k at 1ohn, and the JP83 doing the 11k musically which the Taramps fail to do and most others, the JP83 is actually a beast especially for the price. I know many Taramps users buy them because of the price, not the power, and definitely not for their reliability. So a Korean 8k underrated within the range of most budgets, it's been a great choice and reliability is now started to show that the JP83 is superior to Taramps
Hi John I am glad about your quick response. I am the proud owner of Mr. Prices JP234 and the JP6300 and both extremely good amps. However i have a few things I would like to point out.1st the JP 8300 is not under any warranty at an .5 ohm load. Next would you like to try to run the JP 8300 on two 1 ohm DVC coils on 2 subs all wired in parallel. In theory 2 subs should obtain a .25 ohm resistance at rest.? Not only will the JP8300 shut down or it will most likely start to smoke. Next with the cost of 1 JP 8300 any body can buy 2 of the Taramps Smart bass 8000k and still either have 8000 watts in 2 different rides or wire their subs at .25 or 1 ohms per pair and the output of 2 of the Taramps should easily be 3DB louder for less cost knowing that with the Taramps over power clipping limiters it will protect itself..{How ever you might have to buy 2 more subs}
@@MichaelBloesel Taramps vs JP83, both wired at 1ohm, the Taramps WON'T produce more than 8k. The JP83 will produce more than 10k at 1ohm even with rise. Even wired at .5ohm, while not warrantied, the JP83 will hold up far longer before blowing. A Bass 8k at 0.5ohm WON'T last, and if you don't burn down your car, which many go up in flames, not just die, you end up buying 4 to 6 Bass 8k's for the same 2 JP83's which produce more power each. You can say Taramps is cheaper, maybe the first set, but by the time you replace them over and over, you lose the profit gains. Not to mention, I personally can hear the band difference between the two, and will choose Korean any day of the week over Brazilian, but mostly cheap Brazilian. Wire any Taramps at .25ohm and you need to make sure you have multiple fire extinguishers available quickly, and you also better make sure if you smoke a sub it doesn't go into a short. I've never seen a Taramps come back from any speaker short, even at lower volumes. Look I get it, they're cheap noise makers, which is why so many buy them and think they are king because the meter has a higher number compared to most at that price. Big deal. I haven't seen many world records done with Taramps. Also, when it comes to musical, how many trophies go to Taramps over Korean? I would take a JP63 over a Taramps 8k any day of the week and I'm willing to bet the numbers would be about the exact same on the dash, but 2yrs later how many amp swaps will occur? I'm an audiophile guy, and there's a reason I actually like Harmon Kardon and American Tube amps.
Hi John to quote un quote how many trophies go to Taramps over Korean? I would say more than less when you consider the world, Taramps would destroy the JP 8300 I am sorry but the technology for the full bride compared to a half bridge is superior. I also get your statement about cheap noise makers However unless you are running both amps 1 Jp 8300 compared to to 2 Taramps 8000 Smart bass 8k in the exact same vehicle I will still believe nobody will will state the or say the JP 8300 is louder or sounds better or louder than the 2 Taramps Smart Bass will. @@johnofsometrades405

On a term lab?
These new amps are defo a step up for sure.. and loving the content Parker, bless up!🔊🔊🔊🔥👌🙂
For around 600 bucks for a 8k you can’t beat it!
Not at all!
@@ParkerTheBassheadhey Parker what was your voltage charging to during these test?
I've got a Bass 3k in my Taurus. So far been a good amp. It's my cheap build, but hits.
Yeah I had the bass 3 good amp to had to get the 8 needed more!
@@got2getit204 I'm just running 3 skar 8s. So it has way more power than I need. But always room to grow if I want too.
I like watching your videos before I got into bass meets. Now that I'm in bass meets and know what to expect, these systems are still WILD to hear!!!!
I got a regular smart 8k and I'm loving it!!!
The regular is actually better. Clamps more power. Higher rail voltage
Nice! Loving this one so far
Me 2
Those smart bass 8ks have rail capacitors so it makes it to were you really cannot clip the amp or it will limit the amount of power you can put out the amp so it's almost impossible to blow it.
You are right bud bump my 8k daily no issues with rca they don’t fall out or move unless I move them!
another great video from Parker the basshead keep them coming my brother and congratulations again on the 100K
Thanks a lot for this review! Now I can't wait to step it up from my Smart 3 over to Smart 8
Thanks for making this video. Looking forward to saving up for a Taramp like that. 👍
The smart line of taramps is the only line I think is worth the $. I have a mix of spl and sq. I swap subs and amps out for competition. So I've got 2 smart5's and 2 synergy wfo 3ks. People say they can't tell the difference and to that I'll say depends on your build
The .5 to 2 ohms definitely helps with box rise. I use the smart bass 3k , 1 to each D1 avatar 12. Sounds great.
What do you use for electrical in that setup?
@@notsure984 I just bought the smart 8 bass. I have a Singer 290 amp alternator, 72ah plannano, and an xspower sb500 supercap. All dual 1/0 runs throughout the car. 2/0 dual runs from plannano LTO bank to the amp. I also have the deaf bonce MFA 180.4.
@@grady.stu.8300 is that working pretty well? Some folks say half bridge is tje way to go. But are these Taramps smart 8 bass amps just as good I wonder? I am kind of aiming for a similar setup but mabe either 40ah or 80ah on the battery. I like those JP40s.
Also I will be running a kicker 12 solox and that 8k should be not breaking a sweat while providing some serious power to that sub. Thats my theory anyways.
@@william1252 Sorry for the late response. The snart 8 bass went out on me after 5 days. Really strong smell and just shut off. Not sure what happened. The 2 3ks did just fine for 4 months. Well the fans went out in one. Lol. I put a 3k back in and all good. Definitely the amp. Works well for a lot of people but guess mine was a dud. My preouts are set to 2.5v and i charge at 15.7v. very disappointed cause the 8k sounded awesome. Im going back to half bridge. Cant risk my other equipment. I bought the smart 8 bass from Amazon so who knows, something could've happened in shipping. The amp has no protection. Only came in the taramps box. Thats it
I'm not a big fan of taramps but after your review and seeing them on your Channel it's obvious they'll do the job
Man I can’t tell you how they really do the job hook it up as directed and you will be proud very proud people throw they hands up and breaking there necks i be beating so hard and what’s so crazy is I just bought the bass 3k and was beating hard af so I just went 8k! And they run very good with know issues!
I love that new Taramps smart 8k amplifier. I wish I had 1 of those amps.
😅😅😅😅 nah nah to bad because I got one but naw just kidding you can start with the bass 5k or even the bass 3k and still hit hard!
When the baseline for that Young Dolph (rip) track hit, your dashboard was dooin the fuckin Macarena. She beat bruh, like Joe Jackson.
I'm happy with my smart 3 bass. Just make sure to keep the RCA voltage under 2 volts. Great amp for the price.
1.8V to be precise according to Taramps
That's not a thing anymore, all smart line amps are rated for RCA input voltage of 4v-.2v..
@@chiefjuice1 seemed like it still was with mine. Had to turn down my Audiocontrol LOC, or else my amp would turn off and turn on. Went away when I lowered the RCA voltage.
@@JR-yr8xm you shouldn't need a LOC at all unless you have a factory HU..if you were able to test the preout voltage coming out of the audio control it was probably much higher than 4v before

I just picked up the deaf bonce mfa 4.180 and it is very clean sounding and loud.
Time for an insane build in the truck lol! Very cool can’t wait for more and definitely go for another fun budget build and blowing up cheap subs on that taramps because that 20k is to damn sexy and would blow up subs in seconds lol
For competition and very very good electrical I think this amp might be worth it all

Next vid hook both of those Taramps smart 8k amps up to your subwoofers💯👍
Definitely one of your better videos bro. Thanks!
Wow that’s impressive. I have the smart 3 bass and I love it. Would love to upgrade to one of the big boys some day.
Make sure to get a high output alternator at least a 370 no less then 320 and some lithium ain’t no way around it because I went from the bass 3k to the bass 8k instantly I realized I was about to be outta another 400$ for one and my lithium is on the way!
so do these amps tell you the rms or peak, because im only seeing one wattage value.
@@reepzthereaper9496 they are 8k watts I’m not understanding?
@@got2getit204 Im usually buying cheaper amps and they all tell you the rms and peak for example 600w rms 1200w peak. Is it just a standard for better amps to only tell you the rms value?
@@reepzthereaper9496These amps are rated by RMS power. In this video, parker is testing this amps power with the Amm-1. Towards the end of this video, parker sets the Amm-1, to Dyno power= RMS power, to clipping.

Use a multi tool (oscillating tool) and trim off the plastic bump out. Then your duels will fit👍

Awww man Parker if you ever wanna sell one of those smart 8 bass please let me know I'll definitely buy one off you!! ❤
I think if you fiberglass the out side of the vehicle it will improve db
These are the exact same as the smart 5 bass, just more power obviously. They both have tue dual inputs and all that. These amps are pretty much bulletproof.
Never tried taramps, but may have to give em try in my project
You won’t regret it start with the 5k
Yes you need more amps with the set up you running . Definitely gonna be huge increase in power over the one 20k at half ohm
Hell the 20k might not even be enough. 8 3k drivers so 24k just to put rated power to them. Those 4" coils need about 5-6k each just to really move them.
@@kyletimmins7331 oh I know that’s why I said 2 of the smart 8s would be an increase for sure .

Interesting that you couldn’t get them to clip! Might need to get a smart 3 bass for myself
I am suggesting that if he was monitoring clipping from the cliplight then it could be that the light doesnt respond to this amp and that he should use the included monitor with the knob and re test. Its only a suggestion. I found it odd that he was unable to "clip"
@@puck1751 what was interesting as well though is that the Steve Meade meter also showed no clipping.

I’m wondering if the amp casing on the smart series is still conductive and may lead to ruining the amp like you had issues with before with your Bass 8k amps? Did Taramps fix this issue as well?

I HAVE A QUESTION, THAT'S A SMART 8K WITH (1 INPUT) AND (1 OUTPUT) RCA CONNECTORS,WHY IS THERE ONE SET OF RCA CONNECTORS PULLED IN THE AMPLIFIER WHEN YOU NEED A 1-Male to 2-female splitter to use those types of amplifier?
Has anyone here ever heard of a rotary subwoofer? I just found out about these. They can go as low as 1hz that's insane. I'd love to see content on one of these.
KnuConceptz dual 1/0 inputs are made just for Taramps. KnuConceptz also has dual 1/0 to 4ga. inputs made for Taramps.
Do that amp have damping
would be kool to do db test with the 20k then the 2 smart 8ks also to see the ohm rise on the differnce maybe from the the old 8k to the smart 8k also sence they sapost to do same power at 2ohm if there a way to wire both amps to 2ohms to see if they do same power and see if it sounds better its nice there sapost to be 1/2 to 2 ohm for same power that gives peoples lots of options i actually am trying something differnt i bought a ds18 8k 2ohm model and running 4 2000rms 12in wolframs duel 4ohm at 2ohm and im saprized

12000@14.4 (1ohm)
8000@14.4 (2ohm)
5000@14.4 (2ohm)
What dual 10's would you recommend for deep hard hitting bass, ct messo, American bass xfl, lord of bass, or which sub under $300 each. Which amp would be best for wire down to 1ohm ? Box too?
Did you test the 20K. Seemed less exciting. Like this new one. Should try Both together.
I would love to see you test Wolfram products
What the voltage ⚡️ on these amps?
I have 2 15 inch subs and both are 3000 watts rms should i get this 8k amp?

Hi bro I am subscribing from Jamaica 🇯🇲 I love the music and love the smart 8 amp what's the price on them.????
hey parker what you think i should use on 4 8inch punishers putting in my work truck
make sure you have the correct airspace just cause you can run 4 8s in your truck doesn’t mean it’s gonna play as good as 2 8s with the correct air space. it’s all in the box to make your subs play good
taramps smart 3 bass.. best bang for the buck, and smaller footprint..
( i know im not parker, but)
When you going to hook up the second one?
It would be nice to see one on 4 and the other on the other 4
Just curious, why don't you sand or cut off the extension on the power and ground inputs? Looks like it would be pretty easy to do
you can never go wrong with DB and any of their products.
Hi John I am glad about your quick response. I am the proud owner of Mr. Prices JP234 and the JP6300 and both extremely good amps. However i have a few things I would like to point out.1st the JP 8300 is not under any warranty at an .5 ohm load. Next would you like to try to run the JP 8300 on two 1 ohm DVC coils on 2 subs all wired in parallel. In theory 2 subs should obtain a .25 ohm resistance at rest.? Not only will the JP8300 shut down or it will most likely start to smoke. Next with the cost of 1 JP 8300 any body can buy 2 of the Taramps Smart bass 8000k and still either have 8000 watts in 2 different rides or wire their subs at .25 or 1 ohms per pair and the output of 2 of the Taramps should easily be 3DB louder for less cost knowing that with the Taramps over power clipping limiters it will protect itself..{How ever you might have to buy 2 more subs}
