Since you mentioned those Grovemade desk pads, it's about $20 in materials and less than an hour of labor to made your own custom desk pad. Get a roll of thin cork, a yard or so of wool felt (which is small enough that you might find it in the discounted scraps bin), and a can of spray adhesive from the fabric store. Cut the cork to size, spray with adhesive, and attach it to the felt. Cut mitered edges in the felt with a utility knife and wrap and adhere them to the bottom. Looks and feels great, and is custom fitted to your own desk.
That actually sounds like an interesting thing to do! I wonder how much time, effort and money it would take to DIY the entire Grovemade accessory lineup 🤔 But making a desk pad like this sounds like a good place to start 👍🏼
I’m glad it was helpful! 🙏🏼 I think you’ll really love both of those things! Just remember, you can find decent versions of each without having to break the bank 😊
@@AlexTalksTechOnTH-cam it was on sale for $5… then they slashed it further to $2. I bought 2, just in case it turned out to be crappy. I made a video about it. It’s in Spanish, but you can at least judge whether it’s worth it or not. ¡Productividad, aún a oscuras! | Vivitar LED Bar th-cam.com/video/rEHNYJVVaP0/w-d-xo.html
I just checked it out! Great job 👏🏼 My Spanish is more than a little rusty, but I think I caught the gist of it 😅 I really wasn’t expecting a $2 light bar to come with features like changing the color temperature, but that just goes to show how much you can get for very little money, if you’re willing to look around for a bit and take a chance on a lower priced item! 😊
I definitely feel you on that one! 😄 I wanted a tall light bar, but didn’t want to spend too much on it, so instead I have a short light bar propped up on top of an upside down plastic pot I had laying around 😅
Good tips man. I was really bored of looking at unrealistic setups and then found this awesome video.
I’m glad you enjoyed it 🙏🏼

Good studd man. Appreciate this type of content as well. Best of luck with the channel. +1 SUB
Thanks for the sub! I appreciate it 🙏🏼😊
I have my charging cables attached under the desktop. I pull them out for charging.
That’s a great solution as well! I’m probably gonna do that once I switch out the desk at some point!
4:31 my light bar came from Walmart, it’s made cheaply as heck, yet it suffices my needs… $2 😂
Hahaha, that’s awesome! 😄 Just think, for the price of just one BenQ light bar, you can buy 200 LIGHT BARS from Walmart! 😂

@@AlexTalksTechOnTH-cam thanks for your feedback. I still use that bar on a daily basis. Nothing to complain about.
