still going back and forth debating on stacking or not. I would like the extra desk space!
On front USC-C adapter to USB-A... and months without problems
Where did you get the v1 max in that color? Everywhere i looked there was only one color, the dark grey keys 🥲 The color on yours looks like the ones on the q1 max
It came this way from a local retailer. I actually looked online to see if I could find this version anywhere else, and I was unable to, so I was extremely happy to get mine this way 😬 Perhaps you can get the key caps for the Q1 Max separately, assuming they work on this?
I just got my Pulse elite headset 2 weeks ago and it disconnects mid game atleast every other day. Really annoying
How do you have it connected?
@@AlexTalksTechOnTH-cam I have the original ps5 so i have the wireless adapter plugged in the front of the console.
Damn, I really thought that would alleviate the issue. If it’s not caused by overheating, then it has to be an issue with the device itself. Did you get it with a warranty? You might be able to trade it in for a pair that works better.
@@AlexTalksTechOnTH-cam Yea I wouldn’t have even bought it if I had the new model ps5 after hearing about the problems and no I didnt get the warranty. Big mistake on my part!
Nice vid mate . I really like my trackball (Ploopy Adept), but it's never been as comfortable as a vertical mouse for me (Zelotes C-18 or Logitech Vertical). Might be the shape of the adept though, it's not like this one Dunno that I'd have done the "gaming" segment that way though. I know there are other factors and you clarified that, but I'd have at least alternated rounds . Also do you know if the game adjusts bots' difficulties in single player between rounds?
Thanks bro 🙏🏼 The Ploopy Adept looks wild, though! How does that fare in terms of customization, given all the buttons it has? I appreciate the input! 🙏🏼 I definitely would do it a bit differently if I had to do it over. In my heart, I felt like I should’ve cut that segment down to like a minute tops, or made a whole separate video about it. But I just had so much fun with it, I couldn’t help myself 😅 It doesn’t appear like the difficulty adjusts in between rounds, and it certainly didn’t feel like it either. I would’ve definitely gotten obliterated if I played online with the trackball 😂
@ I like more buttons, strong secondary reason I got the C-18 (10 not counting DPI), although that was more because it has probably the best sensor available in a vertical mouse right now. Ploopy button placement leaves something to be desired for me at least. Because of the most comfortable way I've found to hold it, hitting the top left and 2 top middle buttons is kind of a pain because you have to reach over the ball. I can imagine this isn't so hard if I could find a decent way to elevate my arm a little while using it, but I haven't found that yet. Never quite got used to trackballs even after using them for many years on and off, so I usually use mouse/trackpad/keyboard mouse keys
thanks man nice video
I’m glad you liked it! 🙏🏼
but bottom line when youv got them both you regeulary use the logitech
Have they fixed the connectivity issue??
It’s definitely gotten better than when it first released, but I still experience connectivity issues often enough that it’s noticeable. Plugging it into the front (with an adapter if you have the PS5 Slim) does seem to help a lot, though!
@ thats just wild i own the regular PS5, its crazy to think that a product that is specially designed for the PS5 has connectivity issues, makes me not want to buy it
Don’t buy it. Brand new pro console and headset today. Out the box nothing but disconnect reconnect.
It really is starting to look like a lot of them are just faulty straight out the box. Such a shame to waste the potential of this otherwise pretty great device. It’s just not worth it if you get one that has these issues.
will this work in ps4?
I haven’t been able to test it out myself, but Sony advertises it as working with the PS4, and I’ve seen people online saying it works just fine! 🙏🏼
okay 10/10 review, had me cracking up subscribing to you bro thanks for convincing me :)
I’m glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the sub 🙏🏼
whats the difference between ergo 312 and 317
Wonder how well they connect to the portal??
It says on the PlayStation website that they connect via Bluetooth, so I suppose it works well enough. Although that being said, I’ve had a few connection issues when pairing it up with my TV via Bluetooth, so I guess it depends on how lucky you are when it comes to the connectivity on your device, as some people seem to be more affected than others 🤔
shoulda just got their fullsize or better yet the v5 max and use qmk to change home to prntscr
I’m definitely interested in trying out more stuff from Keychron, given how much I’ve ended up loving this one. Maybe I’ll go for a full size next! 🙏🏼
Hi! Do you mind sharing the link of where you found the right driver to install? Also I plan on using this with a MacBook, so I'm curious if I can program this mouse with it as well. Thanks!
Apologies for the late reply! I used the drivers for the MT760M instead, which can be found here: www.rapoo-eu.com/support/mice-support/mt760m/ I looked around, and I couldn't find anything about the software working on a Mac (they only link to a Windows version on their site), so I'm honestly not sure if it's even possible to program the mouse on Macs. I could try to test this out, if I ever get my Mac Mini up and running again, but for now, I would assume it's not possible.
I like the vertical dual screen method. I put my laptop under the 34' curved wide screen on adjustable monitor arm
Having a 34" curved wide screen sounds pretty awesome too, to be honest!
My 13' x 10' Home Office space project is never ending project. I'm having a so much fun doing it, my wife gets upset when I spend the whole weekend working on it... So, I have to spend at least 2/3 of my weekend with my lovely wife and 1/3 for the project lol
You can listen to your phone and your PS5 at the same time. That was pretty cool.
ideal if you have a desk but what about if you only have a dining room, table to work from????
Good stuff 🔥
Thank you 🙏🏼
great video, many useful advices!
Thank you! 🙏🏼 I’m glad it was of use to you!
I got the V5 max. It is too high so my wrist hurts. And I don't want to use a wrist rest. Don't really like it...
That’s a shame. Have you thought about replacing it with a low profile keyboard? I’ve heard people raving about the Lofree FLOW 100.
The MX is great, sure... However, the rubber coating dissolves after a few years. Polling is a horrible 125hz. Lower than almost every monitor in the "premium category" you´d thought you were in with it. Integrated batteries are not great. Forget to charge overnight and now you have a wired mouse... The only thing great about it is the hybrid scrolling wheel that switches between modes on its own. I also prefer having onboard storage, no fancy spyware running in the background. Dissassembly is not that easy either. I´m running a G502X Lightspeed now, its okay for my needs. Keep searching.
What about the scroll wheel ? I got used to so. It has to be heavy, ie. has enough inertia to roll to top/bottom of a page. And also needs a ratchet feature when needed
Oh dude I exclusively use gaming peripherals (keyboards too) for office work lol. I use a controller gaming although admittedly MMOs introduced me to these beasts of tech but now I don't play those and hate kbm gaming otherwise. But bro I NEED 12 programmable buttons and ideally multiple onboard profiles for work
Great video❤
Thanks, I’m glad you liked it! 🙏🏼
I’ve watched a few of your videos, and I don’t get why you don’t have more subscribers. Great video quality, entertaining personality, useful information presented well…keep it up, man!
This comment just made my day 🙏🏼 Thank you for taking the time to say all that, I really appreciate it, man. I’m just gonna’ keep making videos and improving, and hopefully the subscribers will come in time!
I agree the algorithm brough me here and enjoyed the video!
I’m glad to hear it 🙏🏼
I had the MX master..it actually decreased my productivity since it weighed so heavy and would always hurt my wrist. i switched to the m6 and never looked back. Its like night and day. Doesnt hurt your wrist after long editimg sessions, and can also do gaming.
The M6 really is a great find! If you’re willing to compromise a bit of that “premium feel” of the MX, you get a mouse that’s faster, lighter, potentially more comfortable, and way more versatile 👌🏼
No disconnect?? First turn on the headset than put the dongle in the ps5 !! Disconnect no more 👍👍
I’m gonna’ have to try that! 🙏🏼 But it still feels like a major oversight for a product with a price tag of several hundred dollars to have issues with a basic function like connectivity. It definitely distracts from what is otherwise a great product.
Let me no if it’s works !!
Finally someone makes a review talking about that connection problem, didnt hear about from any tech reviewer before, keep up the good work.
Thank you 🙏🏼 I don’t know, maybe everyone wasn’t affected by this issue (at least to the extent that I was), but if you’ve experienced it at all, then it’s definitely worth mentioning. It’s honestly a shame, because I really do love these headphones, and I think they’re pretty good for the price (depending on your use case), but having them disconnect constantly makes them a lot harder to recommend.
I love the Logitech one
It is the most well-known productivity mouse for a reason!
I really needed such a thorough and comprehensive review! I eagerly ordered it.😍😍😍
I’m glad it was helpful! I think you’ll love it! 🙏🏼
thank you so much man🙏😍
You’re welcome 🙏🏼
Should have talked about Battery life and reliability. the MX is great on battery and charging. I heard the M6 severely lacks in this category. However the everyone who has an MX complains the left click dies in about a year or so... almost every single time.
I’ve honestly been quite impressed by the battery life on the M6 so far. Not sure about the charging speed, as I usually leave it alone for a while when charging. I’ve had the MX for years, and the left click works just fine. However, the toggle for the scroll wheel stopping working a while back, and I’ve heard others say they’re not too durable in the long run. Mine also rattles a lot, even during normal use, which takes away from the premium feel it otherwise gives off.
Logitech: "Have some rubbery stuff" Keychron: "80million clicks"
When i got my MX i was so happy with it for like half an hour. Awesome build quality, amazing scroll wheel (seriously, i'm lovin it). But it was so uncomfortable. No support for 2 of 5 fingers, pain in the wrist cause its not "tall" enough. Amazing mice but not for everyone.
Have you found something that solves this issue for you? I just ordered a Logitech Lift (a vertical mouse), but that’s mostly out of curiosity. Otherwise, of the ones that I’ve tried so far, the Keychron M6 has been the tallest one yet, but it’s also a bit more narrow than the MX, and certainly doesn’t feel as nice when it comes to the build quality.
@@AlexTalksTechOnTH-cam I've returned MX. Still miss it, cause as i said i'm in love with that scroll wheel. For now i'm using Razer Naga Pro. Very nice in terms of comfort, not so nice when it comes to build quality, and it's 12 additional buttons absolutely useless on mac cause Razer has no software for macOS.
I'm not sure why you left the Keychron M6 out of this review, idea for a future comparison? anyways, would love to see how the M6 stack up to the MT760, as most people looking for Master 3s alternatives are mainly due to the horendous 125Hz polling rate, the M6 and MT760 are also in the same price range as well. Great content nonetheless, subscribed :)
I figured I’d save that for another video (also just to keep this one from being too long and bloated). I’m also currently trying out a couple of other alternatives, but so far, the M6 and MT760 are definitely two of the best budget options I’ve found! 👌🏼 Thank you 🙏🏼
Good video and review, thanks! I am seriously considering the Ergo 312, especially since I'm located in Sweden. I have been looking at SecretLabs chairs and such but I have a feeling that this chair will suit my just fine, now that my run down Kinnarps 6000 is losing it's comfort after 10+ years :)
Thank you 🙏🏼 I can’t speak to the quality of SecretLab chairs, as I haven’t tried one yet, but from what I hear, they’re pretty good. But given that the Ergo 312 is about half the price, and has served me well for months, I think it would work just fine for you as well! 👍🏼 Just beware of the height issue: I’ve seen some people online say it’s not suited for people who are really tall (190+ cm). I say this because you’re Swedish, and you guys are annoyingly tall, so it might be relevant to you 😅
I was worried that placing the light bar above the two stacked monitors was going to be to high up to illuminate the desk.
That was my exact fear as well, but it honestly works just as well up here!
Hey guys, I bought the Pulse Elite a couple of weeks back and a read about the connectivity problem so I got me a Xmart - OTG, USB-A/USB-C directly in front of the PS type C port and no problems whatsoever for now. Hope could help for you.
Yeah, I thought about that too. If the heat really is what’s causing the issue, then plugging it into the front port with an adapter would certainly eliminate the problem altogether. Glad you found a workaround 💪🏼
No sidetone , something most people forget ....
I didn’t forget. I just… didn’t remember 😬😅 But yeah, fair point. Mic monitoring would’ve been a nice feature to have.
It has sidetone if you go to tour ps5 settings for the headset.
I stop watching when you show the lightbar, non-sense having a light source in front of a monitor
not at all. it helps your eyes at night because the background is not as dark in comparison to the monitor's brightness
Well, it’s certainly not the least sensible thing I’ve ever done 😂 I honestly thought it would be a problem too, but given the way my display handles reflections, plus the fact that I tilted the light bar slightly out, it’s actually been great.
I use the stacked setup with 2 ultrawides. It's awesome. For Windows I used Fancy Zones which helps manage window real estate.
Damn, 2 stacked ultrawides sounds amazing! 💪🏼 Maybe I’ll get there too one day!
aight, im changing my desk setup now.
Give it a try! I think you’ll like it!
Good review! I'm tending to buy a V1 MAX as a first Mech keyboard.
Thanks 🙏🏼 Honestly, having used it for a couple of months, I’m not sure I could ever go back to a non mechanical keyboard. I tried using my old Logitech G815 the other day, and it felt so… iffy 😅😂 If you’re anything like me, I think you’re gonna’ love the V1 Max!
Hey Alex, great video, can I ask what is the background music in your intro? Thxs
So what will be a better one in the same price range? (With a good mic that reduces noice sounds in the room)
Two screens replaced by a widescreen.
If I ever had to stick to a single monitor, I’d probably go wide or ultrawide as well! 👍🏼
In my opinion, for now, we don't have enough choice in ultrawide monitors. For example, if i want to take ultrawide monitor with resolution 4k and more and frequency more than 60hz, we see a few models and the price for this model... For this money you can easily buy two 32inc monitor with the same characteristics
Nice video, keep it up. I bought this keyboard now from 111€ at Amazon España. I bought rare keychron retro keycaps in Portuguese and I am excited to install them in my new keyboard. After too many searchs, finally I think found a replacement for my MX Keys.
Thank you 🙏🏼 I think you’re gonna’ absolutely love it! Having that extra custom touch is definitely gonna’ feel like a nice upgrade! 💪🏼
had the same problem with the dongle and still having it even with the usb cable extender... bluetooth works perfect. if these issues are fixed im very happy with them
Someone else suggested plugging it into the front port with an adapter. That should alleviate the issue entirely if it is indeed caused by the heat being vented out the back of the PS5.
they should include somewhere on the M6 where additional weight can be added (such as a steel BB) - I like heavier mice.
You might want to consider checking out the Rapoo MT760. I just did a video on it. It’s basically another MX Master 3 clone, but it’s a good deal heavier than the M6 (although still slightly lighter than the MX).
