Really cool to see a longer lap from you that may be not perfect in every corner but altogether keeps the pace around the lap. A good representation of ‘driving the car’ rather than ‘driving the line’.
Well done. There were often moments I would think "you can't brake that late pal", only to watch you glide into the apex. Realising I suck really sucks 😂.
I looked at the title quickly and thought to myself, I can do 8:06 on Nordschleife no problem, let's see what's so cool about his lap. Then I opened it and saw the Nurburgring main straight.. :) GJ
I wonder how long it will take for people to port this version of nord to Asetto corsa. at the end of the GP track the lap time was approximately 1:30, so I figure that if it were on the track day layout this car would be in the 6:30 ballpark, which is insanely fast. Remarkable
@tortelinii at 3:01 every time i dab on the brake the car just loses control and crashed. I understand all brakes need to be straight but is it caused by the "pendulum" effect of the 911 (sudden brake and turn in high speed?) 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙇🏻♂️🙇🏻♂️
Awesome lap, the rotation u have with this setup is so good. I can’t wait to have the Gosetups ones or some esport to try that. (I rlly need to learn how to creat setups one day lmao) Btw how secondes off this lap time are you in race condition/ pace?
Do you still have any tyres left by the time you get to TH-cam or are the rears completely dead by then? I used this setup and it was quite fast all the way up to the carousel but everything after the carousel is basically rally cross for me.
Got a quick question: The curb at 2:00, have you only tried that line on it or multiple lines? Because there is this heavy bumb right after the corner and if you take way more or nothing of that curb, you avoid that bumb, idk if you know that, but I´d like to have your opinion on that in terms of racing line. Is avoiding the bump better by going with way more or less curb or stick to the line and bump and hope for the best?
The turn-in on this setup looks insane, yet so stable! The new damper update completely fucked all my setups, so it's time to fire up MoTeC and start engineering again!
@@Tortellinii I guess the Porsche is just really good by base then. I never drive it, so maybe I should give it a try! And yeah that makes sense, as when I loaded the default aggressive dampers into MoTeC it graphs almost perfectly by base. Just some minor tweaks and they were perfect. This wasn't the case before the update. So that's definitely a big improvement!
Well idk how is that possible, but with the Audi, i am loosing 4 seconds on the GP layout, then i make them all up until the straight and losing another 4 seconds there to the finish line just through sheer speed alone... And it's not like the downforce is high, i am basically running the minimum possible wing of 2 for the R8 where the end doesn't simply fly off and still can't get anywhere near the speed of the Porsche on the straights....
I dont think even Estre can pull of a lap like this, with good quali condition (dry, minimal traffic, crucial tow, good BoP) Sim racing just built different
Noticed no tyre wear or fuel consumption(realism turned off). Fuel load was 10L which is actually less than what a full lap required (13L). The rest was in the setup and the driving. Would be interested to compare to more fuel with consumption and tyre wear on. Not sure if that is locked in Hotlap session mode or not, I usually do my laps in practice mode.
I dont get how you are doing 278 on the back straight, which means you are running no wing, but then you go almost flat through flug and schweden? is this a meta setup or something?
Lambo is more draggy with wing, actually Lambo is one of the slower cars on the straights on Nords but it’s mental in corners, in Porsche I found mid wing to be quite fast on the straight but car loses quite a bit in twisty bits, yet to find a way to make high downforce work on 992 here
Nice lap but really unrealistic top speeds in comparison to the real world... with 276 through Schwedenkreuz nearly flat... in real life they are at 255 or less
We got the ride height restrictions they use irl but we didn’t really get the power restrictions they have for Nords irl, nevertheless this is a hotlap on a mental unstable setup with fuel for one lap only and perfect track grip. This is the least likely scenario which never happens irl as tracks grip is more varied irl and cars irl are prepared for survival of 24hr, mixed weather, traffic and often more amateur drivers. Sim will always be faster and looking at just raw numbers out of context for judgement of realism doesn’t give any sim justice. In fact, if we were to use completely different settings for both car and track , green track, some super safe setup and used tyres we’d be a lot closer to whath happens irl than you expect
@@johnny_blz thanks for your answer but I already know these things... i just asked why he used 0 tc bc it's never a good option to set 0 value on these safety systems with these gt3, even if you are a god level skills. Searching in the comments then i found my answer, this lap was in perfect condition with 0 tyre deg, so it does make sense to put 0 tc in these conditions.
Well I did drive a GT3 Cup IRL and that has no TC, this kind of power is no problem for cars with that amount of mechanical grip and full GT3 car has even more downforce so It’s absolutely plausible just not optimal, as much as GT3 race cars are made with TC being a helping hand to a driver they are still high downforce race cars with huge amount of grip and traction they have no problem putting that power down with no TC engagement, in fact pro driver irl in full attack quali use close to lowest TC settings and rarely trigger it, it’s just there as the last resort safety net, but since in current ACC build TC is very intrusive you just have to turn it off cause it triggers super early when irl TC just wouldn’t, you lose that safety net that TC provides you so you just have to be certain you are on top of things
Am I the only one that feels that ACC feels so much different than AC? The handling of the car doesn’t feel as smooth and the force feedback output it ultra low, maybe it’s just me but on AC the Nürburgring is the easiest track for me but at ACC it feels so different and worse than AC.
Ok, given that I have tried a few laps in the Porsche and my best was an 8 : 38.. I just need to shave 32 seconds out of my lap. Easy-peasy.
