Thanks for the video Misha I hope you have lots of fun trying out other tracks! Honestly it must get kinda monotonous to drive the same track all the time.
I remember that Fangio tied white cloths in various points in the track to know where to brake and such... All the details around the track are great for that! In fact, I watched a video saying that Senna hitted the wall on a track that the barrier moved 3cm (centimeters)... so drivers are using all the track and all around as info to gain seconds. I used to drive a lot on this track on Gran Turismo and other games/simulators, I got quite good at some point and you start to know where to do what with all those points marking.

Your videos on the Nürburgring helped me a lot to be faster on this track on AC, now i just need to pass the knowledge to ACC 😅 Keep making good content mate. 😃
Absolutely incredible track. I did 5 laps last night on an accelerated time scale from 4pm through to complete darkness and it was terrifying when it got dark.
I used to race in semi-pro leagues in ACC like a year ago, and seeing this I can tell how insanely good Misha is. To adapt to the physics of GT-3 cars in ACC, especially so fast, and to do a lap without TC is a pure insanity. In ACC even esports drivers turn off TC only on slow corner exits sometimes, but the whole complicated track like Nordschleife without TC in this sim... Anyways was super cool to see Misha in one of my favorite sims.
Is some adaption no denying it. Some cars are doing ok without tc because the electronics haven't kept up development wise. th-cam.com/video/kJjDmGSjJOg/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=NilsNaujoksSimracingPopometer
Man those trees and shadows make such a difference. Also all the bankings of corners and ups and downs feel a lot closer to the real track than in AC. Now I need a GT86 mod for ACC 😃

Wow. I have been away from this channel for far too long. I remember when the channel was looking forward to 20K subs. To witness the number of 1.29 million subs now? Mind boggling! And it warms my heart endlessly that Micha has had this success. And it pleases me even more that he shares a hobby I myself have had since 1984 - sim racing. And what a nice sim rig. I've been away from ACC for too long (messing around with older sims like converting rF1 mods to AMS1 with CC VR plugin to VR race my own private track builds as well as older sims from the SimBin family, GTR2 PnG, AC Targa Florio vintage WSC series, AMS2 and so on) an surely have to go to real world Nordschleife soon again - late July 2010 now seems so long ago!

You can get almost the same for 500$. Rig for 200 and G29 for 250. If you want to know the basics of driving better to invest in a coach than the sim equipment
Hey Misha! I just discovered You a few months ago. Your channel is brilliant! Thanks for another interesting video. I've never been to "The Ring", but I plan to get there ... someday, when my kids grow up a bit, as curently I need a family car... (I have a classic Fiat Multipla - the early one - yes that one - there is nothing on the market , that suit better a family like mine with 3 kids, and my daily driver is a Yaris, so nothing exciting enough for a ride on a circuit). In the 11:00 that is a Polish flag (Monaco is with red on top). Cheers from Poland!
Not gonna lie, was really hoping to see you in the sim. Would absolutely love to see you Steve and Jimmy all in a 12 or 24 online. I may even be convinced to get iracing as well.
You *have* to try that in VR.. VR is not just about moving your head around, is about isolation from your real life environment and the inmersion that comes along with that..
Hopefully you will also use this with VR glasses. The level of realism increases many times over compared to flat monitors. Only VR can offer the feeling of actually sitting in a racing car, as well as really seeing the curves in 3D, with the correct perspective, and being able to estimate vertices correctly like in reality. Combined with the great motion rig, this must be a fantastic experience! The prerequisite for the best experience is of course a very fast PC with RTX 4090 and the maximum possible graphics settings. Nowadays this has become really tangible, as even a cheap consumer headset like the Quest 3 already offers great image quality, similar to a monitor.
Hello Foxhole / Adenauer Forst kerb - glad you're still around in that one! EDIT: The details popping out in rearview cam is pretty annoying tbh - is that a normal ACC thing or just "conservative settings"?
@@peperonikiller it better be, because everything in the normal view looks pretty stunning imho. The quality in the rearview monitor seen here is a pretty hefty contrast to everything else.
Good to know this is a good representation. On regular Assetto Corsa, I'm lightning fast on the Nordschleife. On ACC, I'm struggling to stay on the track. I guess more hours on the sim is needed.
Its so amazing how far sim racing has come huh? My father ridiculed me to point of giving up my passion for this entertainment many many decades ago. Funny thing is one day he is watching me on PC and I was reading an article on Dale Earnhardt Jr and he says "I thought he died?". I said no, its his son and its not real racing its simulation racing and he just looks at me dumbfounded and amazed at the thought that what he thought was so silly was actually being run by a top professional in the sport. Salute~ to all the people who kept this stuff alive!
As someone with a Fanatec DD2 I just drove it and have to claim first casualty of this virtual Green Hell. I went into the small karoussel a bit too fast and just out and into the barrier... before I could let go of the bloody wheel. All is well but I almost tore off my left ring finger or at least it tried to dislodge from its socket. So... stay safe racing this weekend, Misha. For you and all the boys.
Awesome video Misha!! It would be bad ass that you adress this same topic but on gran turismo 7, is the GT7 Nürburgring accurate?. Big fan of your work and thanks for so many good videos!!
Man, I'd love to have a kick ass racing sim. That looks like a blast. How often do they update the track to keep it realistic, such as the curb and tarmac changes over winter?
very few sims live update the surface. Laser scanning a track is hugely labor intensive so it's usually once and done. Sometimes they will update kerbs and other visuals but very rarely are track surfaces ever changed.
Whoa, just yesterday I was playing AC after you got me wanting to race on the 'ring. This is the best news today, I'm going to put my Logitech G920 to good use in a sec.
you should really switch to VR. I've done the real life vs sim thing to practice and in my opinion using a monitor just messes with your driving you end up turning in too early/late or missing brake points you normally would just "feel" because of the 2d translation. Then you're driving different to compensate for a 2d screen which makes the practice useless/doesn't allow you to fully translate your real life decades of skill. I guess in your situation you don't have to rely on the sim as much (you have probably 100x more access to track days compared to us viewers) and maybe you don't care about it being 1:1 with real life but its a shame to have such a nice rig then use 2d imo.
Motion rigs and VR don't mix well! It's another story if you have compensation for VR/motiong rig movememt in software but only had the pleasure to test one rig. I've been VR sim racing on my fixed rig for few years now (had a monitor setup before) and I have to say that you can't go back :) The only issue with VR is heat it gets hot in there!
Absolutely. I really could not care less what the "too cool for VR" crowd says. I've done sims in 2D and in VR and I'll take VR ANY DAY! *FOR ME* it's the difference between _seeing_ the sim and _being in_ the sim.
@@StubbyPhillips they're insanely insecure about it too haha they don't realize their favorite streamers/youtubers use VR all the time just not for recording because it would look like shaky garbage
15:45 misha you messed up on the advertisment placement ive heard a splitsecond of the loud ingame sound before the ad came in. I see what you did there. Your attention to detail is crazy, but you can not fool a fooler. 😊😂
great point on the motion makers.. i ve been staying away from them cuz i arrived at the same conclusion that they're mostly garbage but this one seems to be worth the money. thanks, great vid as always
good review, thank you. I would like to see more of these videos. Well, the analysis of the route, braking points, etc. Thank you for interesting content. Maybe we'll meet at the track)
Misha only thing I dislike on your sim is the FOV, why is it like that? I dont wanna be negative and knock it, and that also may not be your rig. Love the channel! The new nords is awesome on ACC!
Looks awesome. I'll def get ACC next sale, which happens pretty regularly. Wish other "certain games" took feedback from people who actually drive there regularly to get their models done right.
Motion is the best thing i bought for my rig. Everything els can be upgraded but you don't feel the improvement that much. If you want to upgrade your rig, get a 4 actuators motion platform instead of other wheel base pedal etc.
I fully modiefied a Toyota Corolla WRC : K-Swapped Turbo Engine 1883 BHP. It''s super fast and controllable, best lap i did in Nurburgring was 6:40 with this beast 🚀😄
I think the big improvement for this whole setup would be filming it all in 4K 60 fps :) With modern equipment should be easy if your budget allows it.
When I saw the new track was released, I was wondering if we would see something from the NurburgKing! Great overview! Would also love a detailed guide on how to use ABS in road cars now that you mention it! I'm never sure how much to use ABS on the track in my 350z.
Im 38 y old now, ive been playing racing games since Excitebike for NES, ACC is the BEST racing simulator out there, yes i also have AC with Mods, shutoko and all that, but the feeling of ACC is on another level guys. If you people are still racing on gran turismo, forza, need for speed, and you never played Assetto Corsa, oh boy, you have no idea what you are missing, no idea at all.
He's been waiting for this one since Acc came out. So went back to AC. And last night bought it and downloaded it and it's really cool! Now I will only race it. ACC Nordschleife.
Jumped right in when I got home and clocked in a 8:40 with the 991.2 Porsche on a mouse. This track is so amazing, but I can't possibly imagine how the IRL record is 8:08, that's so hard. How about a track guide video on how to take each corner?
I've never been on the nurburgring nor driven a race car, but I've been addicted the whole afternoon to the feeling of loosing the compression on the top of Pflanzgarten
iv been watching you drive round Nurburgring in alsorts of cars for a while now and I just come across this video as I was looking for a sim set up. hopefully one day ill be able to race you as iv been racing Nurburgring on games for over 20 years. never in real life though
I haven't played Assetto yet, and to be honest I'm limited to an ordinary controller and GT7 which combined with a lack of funds and space for an actual sim set up is fine for casual gaming. But, interesting watch, and I can see how this could be used for actual training maybe!
Don’t put yourself down man, you CAN enjoy Assetto Corsa Competizione with the controller. Get a head start, try acc and get used to it while waiting for the nordschleife DLC to drop on console, meanwhile saving the funds for a sim set up 🤘🏾. People love bashing those who use controller for this game, to me it’s an inclusive community where all can have fun equally.
@@Trillogical thank you! I suppose I gave it one go and just went UGH. I'm alright at GT7 I'd like to think, and didn't even realise AC was a "proper sim" until a couple of minutes after loading 🤭 Maybe a real car again first, then sim, then future racing of real car if I'm not too ancient 😂
quality lowers in the rearview brother. personally grand tourismo 4 did the track justice, now after your second lap im speechless its made to drive, and should i be fortunate enough to have such an experience i hope i can one day take you boosting around that track show you what the greatest drivers in the world have to offer cause lets face it they came from my country Aotearoa. for the record i concur with your valuation of this game and it deserves its platform + more
I think Rfactor2 has the best feeling especially with the radical sr3, IA is very good too. You may try it. Maybe not so detailled around the track visually but to drive it feels way more natural to me.

very few sims live update the surface. Laser scanning a track is hugely labor intensive so it's usually once and done. Sometimes they will update kerbs and other visuals but very rarely are track surfaces ever changed.
Never
@@geologik7500 Also if you're gonna laser scan a track might as well do one that isn't already in the game
Love how Kunos listens and responds to their customers. Keep up the great work and awesome review!

Yeah sure bud.. That's why all the fasted pros use 2D
Absolutely. I really could not care less what the "too cool for VR" crowd says. I've done sims in 2D and in VR and I'll take VR ANY DAY! *FOR ME* it's the difference between _seeing_ the sim and _being in_ the sim.
VR is great, but I don't know a single top driver who is faster with it!
@@StubbyPhillips they're insanely insecure about it too haha they don't realize their favorite streamers/youtubers use VR all the time just not for recording because it would look like shaky garbage
Simply amazing that we can do this from home now. Really amazing setup Misha!
15:45 misha you messed up on the advertisment placement ive heard a splitsecond of the loud ingame sound before the ad came in. I see what you did there. Your attention to detail is crazy, but you can not fool a fooler. 😊😂
The Light off at the end means Misha please stop talking we are waiting behind you 😂 Thanks for the presentation.
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing this with us!
great point on the motion makers.. i ve been staying away from them cuz i arrived at the same conclusion that they're mostly garbage but this one seems to be worth the money. thanks, great vid as always
I just got my first sim setup and I am less than a rookie but I am absolutely hooked now … Gran Turismo 7 and Assetto Corsa Comp
9:24 the way misha’s body moved when he went over the curb.. that’s some muscle memory right there
good review, thank you.
Wish other "certain games" took feedback from people who actually drive there regularly to get their models done right.
its 75% off right now on steam
Motion is the best thing i bought for my rig. Everything els can be upgraded but you don't feel the improvement that much. If you want to upgrade your rig, get a 4 actuators motion platform instead of other wheel base pedal etc.
More simracing videos in the future? This was so awesome to see.
Very nice set up dude! I'm not jealous at all!
Shmee's Zenvo in the background just casually chilling @ 4:31
Im 38 y old now, ive been playing racing games since Excitebike for NES, ACC is the BEST racing simulator out there, yes i also have AC with Mods, shutoko and all that, but the feeling of ACC is on another level guys. If you people are still racing on gran turismo, forza, need for speed, and you never played Assetto Corsa, oh boy, you have no idea what you are missing, no idea at all.
AssettoCorssa with mods got mean. Makes ACc seem mild and easy
mate 7:12
you can cut through here to the right and start a new Lap. The times will not be Invalidated.
It saves around 7 min. of outlap.
Thanks Misha, that's the only video I need to see.
Looks insane setup 💯👌🏻
hands down pro driver in IRL and Sim.💪👍
Great to see you here in the ACC universe 🚀on the best track 🌲🌳🌿
Great video Misha! I would love it if you could do a comparison vs iracing's Nordschleife?
the onboard sound is crazy it’s like hearing the real NLS onboards videos
This is what I have been waiting for 😤
Can you add traffic/competitors?
Can you practice with others, live?
Yes to both.
He's been waiting for this one since Acc came out. So went back to AC.
And last night bought it and downloaded it and it's really cool! Now I will only race it. ACC Nordschleife.
Best video on TH-cam for the week ❤🎉from Ghana 🇬🇭
ACC Nürburgring: I'm here!
Me: swifts away to shed to finish building my sim cockpit.
wow misha great video, how much was the full simulator?
Jumped right in when I got home and clocked in a 8:40 with the 991.2 Porsche on a mouse. This track is so amazing, but I can't possibly imagine how the IRL record is 8:08, that's so hard. How about a track guide video on how to take each corner?
I've never been on the nurburgring nor driven a race car, but I've been addicted the whole afternoon to the feeling of loosing the compression on the top of Pflanzgarten
Misha you really don't cut corners when you commit doing something. NICE.
iv been watching you drive round Nurburgring in alsorts of cars for a while now and I just come across this video as I was looking for a sim set up. hopefully one day ill be able to race you as iv been racing Nurburgring on games for over 20 years. never in real life though
I'm alright at GT7 I'd like to think, and didn't even realise AC was a "proper sim" until a couple of minutes after loading 🤭
Maybe a real car again first, then sim, then future racing of real car if I'm not too ancient 😂
cooles Video, wenn jemand die Realitätsnähe der Strrecke beurteilen kann dann wohl du :-) Ich freu mich schon auf AC Evo
Sick setup! Im trying to design a cnc plywood rig atm and havent been able to get into my new sim gear! Cant wait to get at it though!
quality lowers in the rearview brother. personally grand tourismo 4 did the track justice, now after your second lap im speechless its made to drive, and should i be fortunate enough to have such an experience i hope i can one day take you boosting around that track show you what the greatest drivers in the world have to offer cause lets face it they came from my country Aotearoa. for the record i concur with your valuation of this game and it deserves its platform + more
I think Rfactor2 has the best feeling especially with the radical sr3, IA is very good too. You may try it. Maybe not so detailled around the track visually but to drive it feels way more natural to me.
So rfactor 2 is 99% lol.
You should check out the big screen beyond vr headset very minimal and could be a good investment for longer races
Top tip, hold 5th gear up the hill towards mutkurve. You lose speed when shifting to 6th. Not much much but every little helps!
So excited to try this.
So do I... if the DLC was available for playstation 😅😅 Got to wait... let's hope it's not too long!
Made my day Misha. Cheers 🥂
