Thanks for this. Now I just have to figure out how to shave off the other 33 seconds.
brilliant!
LMAO right ? thats how i feel to as i prep for the 24H of Nurb on Iracing lmao
just watched the video and shaved off 4 seconds on my out lap! thank you for sharing all this information.
As a dirt rally 2.0 guy I learned the nurburgring by predicting corners. Still 2.3 seconds off of acc in game record but I'm proud of it.
Crazy because some parts are uphill and hard to see the turn after
Rally❤️
2.3 seconds off ACC record would be around 8:05ish - thats amazing pace! As far as I know the record is set by the M4 with a laptime off 8:02.2
He is not using the full track, not trail braking, turning while accelerating resulting in understeer
Now that I see the telemetry he was somehow trail braking but just kept adding rotation after accelerating. I learned a lot about which curves to use and which not, thanks again for another great video!
By the way, I know this from his course, if you are reading this, buy it, sell a wheel or something, this will actually make you faster
@@jufejufinhoSell a kidney 😎
@@SizzlingPopcorn worth it, plus weight reduction, double win
@@jufejufinho 🤣🤣🤣
Late braking, slow exit. And with a lot of straits on this track he can probably find 10 more seconds.
Let him drive 964 or 190 evo and he will learn to rally around this track.
There r 3-4 corners on the uphill into straight. If you do those correct you can find 7" only there.
Also if you accelerate uphill whit one wheel on a coloured surfice the TC will go on and slow you down
Suellio, What a fantastic video. Understanding the idea of track usage and using what the track gives you cannot make you anything but faster. This information is priceless. You're break down of the car position through the corner makes the anaysis easy to visualize.
Finally another video after 2 weeks! Your videos are like therapy for me, I'm having so much fun and also learning new things everytime
Because I'm scared to run off track 😂
Fantastic 👏
The wealth of information you share so naturally, with the ability to convey that information cleanly.
Nice one Suellio 👍
buying the book now as a thank you for putting these vids out, very helpful!
I didn't think this video would be nearly as good as it is. Very clear advice, and I'm going to see what I can learn from it. Haven't been on Nords in a bit :)
Oh man.. the music is so good.. Nostagic, Stranger Things style.. lol.. Congratz, another great video. Nords is so daunting that we fear that green grass everywhere! A small mistake and boom! Wall! 8 min lost.. Getting faster is a matter of mental preparation.. Fear.. but not too much..
I'm speaking for myself here. Having a little margin on corner entry makes sure I survive the lap instead of being on the absolute limit on some corner entry. But this is great content I'm jealous how you make these vids
Yeah you always have to consider the balance between pushing for a hot lap or being safe for consistency
For sure, you don't want to push yourself beyond your abilities. The key is in maximizing your capabilities.
I think placing the car correctly on entry also contributes to a safer more consistent lap as well as being faster. It gives you more of a margin to play with and means you're asking less of the car mid corner and exit. That's how it feels to me but i'm just learning this stuff myself.
@braveheart4603 so when you initially turn in And your outside rear tire somewhat smells the grass you fly off oversteer end of the story. So obviously you don't leave 2 feet left but you get the idea yeah
That’s the difference between the gods and us lol. They can put it on the line every time
A lot of people dont realize that the ring has turn in and corner exit indicators painted all over it, represented by small dots and hashmarks. These are depicted in a lot of sims.
He is not maximusing the track limits on entrance. Another banger video Suielluo!
ok, but that do not cancel the fact that i spin by every 3-4 corners
increase TC power until you can figure out the throttle for the car
You need to figure out why you spin. Me I used to spin a ton.. then I stopped entering corner as fast.. and also exiting corners with less gas. At points my braking would make me spin entering a corner. At times steering too drastic made me spin.. sometimes I would put too much gas at exits and that made me spin. I can now tell what made me spin.. you need to know what makes you spin if not you will never fix it.
Progressive Breaking, Turning, and Gas.
100% Brake = 0% Turning in most cases
Start turning in slow and with a constant turning speed (i'm talking only about the movement of the steering wheel inputs, not the car speed), and more turning is less braking.
At the Apex you have 100% Turning and 0% Brake.
Gas ist the same but backwards. Progressive on the throttle from 0% to 100%, and with 100% throttle you should be at 0% Turning (not always of course, but minimal).
Take your time to 100% throttle at first, and with that you will be consistent and fast enough.
After you got used to it, you can start to bring back some more "agressiveness" on the throttle but you only should use it as an on/off switch on high speeds.
But instead of going from 0% to 100% in 1s you can try it in .8s and see how the grip is.
@@shul5684 thanks for the support man, but this was a joke, i already know how much important is to wait for the car to take traction on throttle and etc, thanks for the tip btw
@@loltroll2 it was a joke mate, but thanks for the tip anyway, other guys are going to learn a lot by your comment
Great video man thank you! But there's one video we all want to see...... Suellio coaches Jarno Opmeer!
I can't be the only one who wants to know if and how much Jarno could learn from you!
The Green Hell defo teaches you to be thinking 3-4 corners ahead of the one you're on. As an IRL motorbike rider, the phrase we use is "to be ahead of the bike"! I love this track!
I was always good at hitting that white li e when exiting the turn. I always thought my biggest problem was not entering the corner early enough, which I wasn't. But after watching this, and running a few laps, I never knew how much of the track I wasn't using. Not sure how much time I've made up but I've taking most corners a hole gear faster. Thanks for the great vid.
Thank goodness for the rinse and repeat option in iR
Video: "Why You Are SLOW At The Nurburgring Nordschleife"
My Reality: "Why You Are SLOW everywhere"
Really good video though!
Wish I watched this BEFORE my race yesterday! 😂
Thanks for the video. I am trying to figure out the Nordschleife in ACC, it seems to be narrower and bumpier than what I see here in iRacing, a lap in the Porsche 992 GT3 is rather scary. I am still in the low 8: 20s so there are 10+ seconds to shave off. I will start with optimizing track usage. Thanks!
Nice video. Do you have a video on how to not crash, especially for newer people?
I’ve always known these tips and I’ve driven thousands of KM on multiple different sims of the ring but after watching today I cut 4 seconds off my lap time on assetto corsa competizione and see potential for even more improvement
Thank you.
I think my problem is that I don't know what the grip limit really is at this track, so I tend to use middle of it a lot to have some margin of safety even though I know it's not correct.
This is a great video i was already faster this morning, i mainly use the mercedes 190E ans i could take some turns only lifting a little
Hi Suellio!!
How do I pick what series to run?
I’m A lic and got it a couple years ago running mostly TCRs, skippy and some F3.
Should I send it and go GTP? Take it slow and do lmp2? Learn Porsche cup because Porsches are cool? Stick with TCRs because I actually own a fwd civic? Do open wheel because I love the feeling of the cars?
I’m afraid of driving in lower license class races because I don’t want to lose SR. I’m also kinda slow 😅 I’m having a tough time assessing if I would be wasting my time doing something too easy or too hard while also trying to avoid the frustration of low lic drivers hitting me.
Idk if you have time for this but I really appreciate it if you do!
Thx!
how much does track and air temp effect lap times ?
Love your videos Suellio.
Meant constructively 👍 - all non-native English speakers, including all F1 drivers (and my French gf) say it like this.
It's 'making' a mistake, not 'doing' a mistake
Thanks! 😃
@@SuellioAlmeida No worries dude.
For comparison my gf tries to punch me in the face if I tell her this ! 😆
I just watched a bunch of my replays. I actually do that very well. But I always feel like Carousel is my biggest weakness. I keep falling out of it, and my exit feels terrible and slow.
We need a Canadian pity pricing on the motor racing check list. Just throwing it out there. You know how it is.
Gonna go home and apply all these tips, hopefully i find a few seconds
Question, I’ve been struggling mid corner and someone told me there’s a throttle 2 step throttle technique. Fast, then slow. Can anyone elaborate on this for me?
nurbs 24h 9m20s team here! LOL
Took me more than 100 laps to finally cross the 9 min mark. Feels insanely fast to me. It's a total joke in comparison to all the sim racers out there, but I am still proud to finally at least see the 8 there. Keep it going!
Thanks for the vid, enjoying your content a lot.. just started sim racing a few weeks ago... i'm not young and have been driving for 14 years on the road as a truck driver ... i'm having trouble getting used to driving from a much lower POV and judging corner exits(usually too early throttle and a spinout) because i find myself looking at the floor and driving with my foot "lifted" isn't something i do on the road.. i've tried using the racing line in iracing to learn from it but i find myself "correcting" the whole race instead of driving.. i know my problem can probably be solved by grinding and practicing but i'm afraid to develop some bad habits.. anyone got any tips for me?
I wonder how do you move the camera around the track in racing replay?
Suello, I see faster drivers braking early and slowing working there way down through the gears through the turn. I find it faster n easier to break later and harder.
Is one superior to the other? They are faster, but can I be that fast with oractoce using what comes naturally to me.
I already know what is my problem on the Green Hell: sooner or later, i a point of the track, i will dnf
Man I need this help on LeMans 😎
Lets see if i can finally get the Nürburgring Nordschleife gold on gt7 track experience using this 😂
Do the gt7/sim vr2 review already.
4:30 Can anyone tell me how to get input graph to work during spotting/spectating like that!? I can't seem to get ioverlay-racelabs to work!
This would be so sick to be able to spectate and watch others input graphs just like this! My input graphs only work when i drive and i was told by the devs (ioverlay devs) It's not possible to get it to work during spectating\spotting! But this is showing me otherwise!
Any help would be highly appreicated! I'd be more than happy to pay for an input graph like this!
I think it's the fact that he is streaming to suellio. Suellio is no spotting in-game.. that's why he can see the graph.
@@shul5684 I don't think so...he's clearly rewinding and going forward then using the mouse to shake and show what he is doing wrong
If he was telling him rewind+fast forward that would make more sense But he isn't...he's rewinding using mouse to show what he's doing etc
so he is 100% spectating or spotting and the input graph is somehow working...Need to figure out how!!
Pretty sure it is because he is watching a replay file that was sent to him from the other driver, spotting and spectating don't get telemetry from others
Just got my fanatec sim. How do i go about getting a session?

8 minutes track? More like 10.3 for me 😅
Are there no ghosts to practice with in iRacing? Such basic errors in the student lap.
Granny shifting, not double clutching like you should
My favorite track
If it were KIRETH the Thumbnail would read: “I CUT THIS GUYS LAP TIME IN HALF & RBR F1 HAVE 👀 ON HIM!!” 😅😂
2 seconds? Humble much haha? I see like 8 seconds, at least, from your advice in this video. 🤷♂️👌
I dont think gran turismo 5 is realistic, i did a 6:32 in a hks ct230r 💀
I can tell you why: it's because i'm slow everywhere else XD
How is this guy 2800 IR and doesn’t know how to use the whole track? I’m stuck at 2k and getting beat by drivers that know how to use the whole track!
Granny shifting, not double clutching smh
I run sub 7 min so I'm good lol
If only he saw this video before he paid for coaching... Oh, nevermind.
Valuable feedback as always, but when coaching to get someone to do things differently (changing their behavior), it isn't enough to highlight what they are doin (not doing), rather you have to show them HOW they could do things differently. Sooo many spend soo much time identifying what is and isn't being done. Very few have the ability to break down what is happening, then offer how to start changing...And in my experience, change (progress) for those that are lost begins by enforcing the BIG PICTURE -- not binary ques of what to do for each corner...this just adds more pressure and reinforces a myopic view that they can't handle.
Best coaches usually start with examining the broader skillset. Is it his vision? His fear? His grip on his wheel? His concentration? What is this student facing, and how may you unlock his potential? The more insightful the question as a coach, the more impactful the lesson. Good luck, I love what you are doin...it's enjoyable stuff...and you got me writing ;)
how can he be 2.8k and doing this ahaha
That's why I said "you're 2.8k, you shouldn't do this" hahaha
@@SuellioAlmeida yeah, he must be doing other things pretty well in order to get to this rating. He must have good SR...
Haha I just looked at his stats, he has a very high SR (A 4.36 at start of the season). the funny thing is that he lost 520 iR and 1.31 SR since the beginning of the season ahah. oh and that guy did 2176 races, that's crazy, how can he still not use all the track after so much time! WOW
Carrying too much speed.
Well i wasnt wrong :)

The Green Hell is now on a REAL simulation btw.
You knew that ofc
