I began doing feet exercises, wearing barefoot shoes and wow what a major difference. Pain is gone. I do need to continue my exercises, to deal with minor bunion and 2nd toe hammer toe. I saw my chiropractor for this. Then, when I still had nerve pain at side of 2nd toe made appointment with acupuncturist. Pain was gone so when I saw her today got treatment all over including where I previously had nerve pain. In 2 days I'm going to a podiatrist, since I made the appointment after chiropractor, before barefoot shoes and exercises. Not sure why I'm still going lol. The shoes I bought are Saguaro, and they are far better than my custom orthotics, which were made for stabilization and arch support, but ended up making my feet weaker, hence ligament issues with that 2nd toe.
Thanks to one of your very informative videos you showed me the answer to my inside little toe solf callus problem I went to Walmart and bought some of those silicone toe separators and and immediately it started damping the pain and after one week's use the solf callus was quickly going away and less than a month after using the silicone toe separators all pain and calluses are completely gone. Again thank you for your information!
Very informative. I have this pain, with tingly numbness and just went to see a podiatrist who told me, she thought it was a callus around the nerve. She said there was a surgical option that would remove the pain, but leave the numbness. I would prefer a more conservative treatment plan.
I have had chronic pain at the base of the 2nd toe (right foot) for almost a year. Finally got an MRI and it turns out to be a flexor plate tear. I have orthotics and regularly ice down my foot, but the pain always comes back. Will this heal on it's own?
I have pain in second toe on both feet, it seems most happening when pulling it away from big toe towards the outside of my foot, and also when pressing down. Especially so when pulling down and over. I can't find anything on Google about this, is this similar to what the video talked about?
It could be but there is no way to know without an examination. Please see a podiatrist near you for a diagnosis and treatment plan. In the meantime, the following pages have detailed information on various causes of ball-of-foot pain and their treatments. Capsulitis - the most common cause of pain under the ball of the foot: www.footankle.com/pain-balls-feet/metatarsalgia/ Orthotics for ball-of-foot pain: www.footankle.com/orthotics/condition/ball-of-foot-pain/ Ball of foot pain index: www.footankle.com/pain-balls-feet/
I was wondering. Are hyper mobility second toes rare? I can bend my second toe just like a finger whenever I want and I actually have some grip strength as well with the toe. I also have a hammer head second toe but I can somewhat “straighten” it on whim too but when I do the toe goes over the big toe. I also have hyper-mobility Hallux valgus (I think) and a tailor bunion and I can separate my big toe and pinky toe pretty far away from the other toes.
Hi, I have nerve pain in both toes on the inside toward the big toe. Would you have any idea what this might be as it's on the inside of both toes toward the big toe? Would an MRI need to be done on both toes or would one MRI cover both?
I have been walking/limping for 10 days due to an injured pinky toe and now suddenly my second toe is red, swollen, shiny and painful. How long will that take to heal? The area below the second toe and ball of foot don’t hurt at all.
Sounds like either infection or gout. Please see a foot and ankle specialist to have an evaluation, get a definitive diagnosis and an appropriate treatment plan.

You don't need an MRI. Read this:

How do you find someone who really knows what they are doing to make orthotics?

If your L5 is bad then that's the indication too.

I watched tons of videos on TH-cam. Doctors and physical therapists all said so.
