Key takeaways: 1. Identify your body signals, if you are not into it, then try meditation. 2. Know what makes you stress and try to reduce it. Try to become more positive in life, reduce negativity and stay away from toxic atmosphere. 3. Find what soothes your body, a massage, a sun bath, a shower with lukewarm water with aroma or anything which you like. 4. Go to nature, walk 20 minutes in nature, touch plants and trees, if you like it. 5. Eat complex carbs, fermented foods, try to eat as much as diverse food you can try in a week especially vegetables. 6. Give time to poop, and stay away from distractions like reading and using smartphones. Use Indian toilets, basically the way Indians sit when they poop. 7. Take vitamins test, especially Vitamin D and Vitamin B12 8. Try a food for at least 3 days to check if that suits you, stay away if that food makes you bloated
@TheScienceofSelfCare, I've been dealing with digestion issues for years, but I recently discovered that it's all connected to my gut health. For the past few months, I've been actively working on improving it, and your discussion resonated with me. This video affirmed that I'm on the right path. TH-cam is an invaluable resource for gaining knowledge, and I've greatly benefited from content creators like you. Thank you, sincerely, for sharing your insights on this platform.
Eating less dense foods as possible. Take in fruit juices and water. Fast more. That will heal the gut. The process is simple. It's no need to make this laundry list to healing the gut because much isn't needed.
I thought I could never quit coffee, but the feeling was amazing once I did. Coffee decreases brain blood flow and, as it is a mild laxative, it leaves you constipated after a while, if you have a sensitive gut. After a month, I had one cup of coffee, and it did nothing for me, I'm not addicted to it anymore, I will treat it as alcohol. I will have it once in a while if I feel like it. The odd thing is I never feel like having it, though I thought I could not live without it.
I love coffee so much, but three weeks without it and I'm sleeping better. I'd like to be able to enjoy it on occasion, but I need a month of Teeccino before I decide
Well yeah, it's not like the stuff is delicious or anything. If there was no caffeine in it, coffee would have been relegated to an ingredient in some super supplement , for whatever reason it could have been hyped up about. Get out of bed, start your day, and be delighted that you have what you have. A drink of clean water will be a luxury, get used to the idea.
My grandmother was a midwife and healer. She understood energy. She knew that our bodies hold memories and our thoughts can trigger those memories that we hold in our physical bodies.
I used to take it personally when my symptoms were dismissed by doctors but I have more sympathy now about how the mainstream doctors really don't know any way to help. I'm sure they would but they don't have the knowledge and tools for a lot of these gut issues and the research is so new and changing!
This is all good stuff but I must point out that Ovulation is NOT what is happening when you get your period - Ovulation should happen 5-14 days AFTER your period - this is not the first time I have heard a female health practitioner say that ovulation happens when you're bleeding and I am bewildered that professionals and women in general believe this.
I have a few friends who also have intestinal and stomach problems and they have applied some methods and shown positive improvements in their stomachs and here are some methods I contribute. Picked up from their shares: 1. Use probiotics, the use of probiotics helps reduce irritable bowel symptoms (IBS) and strengthen the immune system 2. Minimize irritating foods such as coffee, alcohol and hot spicy foods 3. Reduce Stress, there are studies and stories surrounding how stress and mood can directly affect the function of the stomach and intestines 4. Some folk remedies you can apply are drinking ginger water, honey or turmeric
I really appreciate that she incorporates an intuitive/psychological/wholistic approach in working with her clients. This has been missing from western medicine since the beginning. Digestion certainly changes over time and with different circumstances/ places we live/experiences we’re going through etc and I’m glad acknowledged that as well. I had a friend years ago who was diagnosed with fibromyalgia but refused to consider a psychological component to the disease and opted for invasive surgery before pursuing any kind of psychological treatment/therapy. We should be looking at ALL things.
100%! Most chronic illnesses are created by emotional / phychological blockages, and not caused by physical problems. People have blindspots to their emotional traumas.
Here's my 2bits on this topic. Learn to make anerobic fermented foods. Infuse curcumin at around 85% concentration. Into the plant material while making batches. I was diagnosed with IBS at 21. At 52 still have a flat stomach. Thanks to figuring out how to stop being in a constant state of inflammation. Through proper bacterial balance of the gut.
@@ThaTurdBurglar there's no vinegar in the fermentation process. It's a bacterial growth in vegetables submerged in water with salt. We have been doing it for so long that our stomachs evolved to function on this bacteria. All of our modern condiments are full of sugar and food colouring. They used to be fermented foods we used to help digest our meals.
This was such a fabulous interview. Super relevant to my life, as I’ve been on my own health journey. Feeling physically unwell makes life so much worse. And all the information Sarah gave really resonated with me-insightful, nuanced, and relying on both science and intuition. Thank you so much for this, Robin.
Mom who had babies, went to grad school, AND started a stressful career that i love all at the same time. Nervous system dysregulation sent my gut screaming into craziness. Its taken years to heal and i picked up some incidental diagnoses along the way but im about 85% better. Its been a long expensive process
@thefoodproject7559 I went to a functional med practitioner who gave me some different gut restoring therapies such as bovine igg and iga and phased me through different probiotic and prebiotic supplements. I changed my outlook on work and I now refuse to operate in the anxious state I used to live in (read Mindset by Carol Dweck). Prioritized my sleep. Eliminated almost all processed foods. Cut alcohol and caffeine to a tiny fraction of what I used to consume. Oh and this is all after a Colonoscopy and ct scan that due to incidental findings has lead to multiple mris. I can't tell u which of the above made the difference. Prob combo of them all.
The piece on self-awareness and emotional healing resonates with other stuff I've been hearing. There is a high proportion of neurons around the gut, so my gut feeling (😊) is that the gut is an emotional center of the body.
I took a Genorva Diagnostics stool test last month and got the results back along with an allergy test and two weeks of consistent changes so far has me feeling better. I'm excited to see what long term and consistent changes will make my life BETTER!
Divine timing!! thank you to both of you - Sarah is so authentic, relatable, and wise...and...WOW! what an excellent communicator in delivering the knowledge -- thank you!
omg she is the first person who I’ve felt like she understands and is talking to me, wow. Definitely going to look more into her work and how she can help me
Awesome interview. I personally believe, that if we all ate optimally for own bodies, got enough sleep and exercised regularly, disease and sickness would be very rare.😊
The problem is that nobody knows exactly what their body needs!! We’d each need our own specialist and that can get so spendy 😢 but it would be cool to just know what we needed to stay healthy and happy. Mental health issues would practically disappear too!! I wish we could do this haha
@@kayleigh5848 It would be amazing if the governments would have it so everyone aged 10 and 18 years to get a full specialist exam to get a good idea of what foods they should increase and decrease. As well as in the situation where someone shows a deficiency in 1 or more area. It would be lovely. ☺
I've been dealing with gut issues for a very long time and every time, my symptoms have been dismissed to you need more fiber but I do know I do have IBS and feel blotted all the time. I've also suffer with migraines and feeling low even though I'm always on the go. I also like the fact that she emphasizes that this is about food sensitivity and not food allergies
I too was told by my doctor that I just “need to eat more fibre” so I went home and ate a ton of bran flakes cereal. Then I went to a naturopath, did a blood test, and found I was intolerant to wheat 😂 Now I eat sourdough or sprouted wheat with no problems though, cow dairy was the biggest problem. Yea “more fibre” is the extent of a lot of doctors advice unfortunately
@@anaflower5865They probably should have explained where fiber comes from, it is not just bran! The NIH spent over $1B on human gut microbiome research and indicate that "dietary fiber appears to play a significant role in shaping gut microbiota diversity"... which confers good health. See: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6391833/
I use to only use the bathroom once every 2 weeks and when I did it was painful and messy. After I went vegan, I go once or twice a day - quick and so clean I don't need to wipe. I feel like my body was made to eat this way!!
so happy for you! yes we are not cookie cutter. I'm the opposite, and doing fantastic! bloods etc, all great, good energy, great sleep, no afternoon slumps etc.
I had the same experience wheb I was vegan. Unfortunately I did not get enough Iron and B12, so if you at some point feel lethargic, have it checked is my recommendation. (Because for me eventually it flopped from feeling lighter to not getting enough nutrients) Best of health to you :)

This was such a great interview! I feel so aligned with her and her love for health & nutrition! Thank you so much for continuing to contact her even though it took so long. It was well worth the wait!
Thank God this was recommended for me. I needed it. Trying to figure out what's with this bloating and inflammation (acne). I can't wait to try to add some things recommended to fix leaky gut. The probiotics talk was helpful! The whole thing was. Much thanks!!
So glad it was helpful! It’s such a journey to figure this all out and I’ve been in the same space… it took me several years to really move the needle. But i am confident you will find what works for your body ❤️ and it’s so worth the journey.
I had an allergy test and I'm allergic to 101 of 113 foods. It's very limiting and I fear Im getting lack of nutrients and variety. It used to be years ago I could eat whatever I wanted, but suffered IBS. I eat organic whole foods and cook from scratch the foods that need cooking. I'm also histamine intolerant but have to ignore that just to be able to eat. I can take DAO for it because I lack the enzyme. I also don't methlylate folate so I have to take methylated folate. They did not test me for lack of methylation of anything else. I have mast cell activation syndrome which is not an allergy, but I can go into anaphylaxis with that. I have had leaky gut diagnosed and inflammation in my brain following a car accident and multiple injuries. I really appreciate this content so I can understand things a little better. I will discuss with my doctor the recovery from elimination diet suggestion. My allergist said that after I recover from surgery that my inflammation may go down and I may be able to try the foods I was least allergic to one at a time because they may drop down on reactivity on the allergy scale by one level. Thank you for posting the interview. It gave me a lot to think about with things I can do to be more proactive. I hadn't heard of you before, but you just gained a new subscriber today.
This was an amazing interview! I've been feeling constantly bloated for about 2 years so I'm so ready to take the sage advice (pun intended) from the gut archetype quiz and change my life. Thank you!!
Always good to eat healthy foods, exercise and maintain an ideal microbiome. Even if you do everything right many women develop bloating and this can often be the result of abdominal tumors. It can affect you in many of the ways described here and hard to diagnose without radiology. It can go undiagnosed for decades. Ladies if you have daily progressive bloat you may have a bigger issue not solvable by lifestyle choices. As someone who suffered this I strongly recommend getting a full pelvic scan. It may save you from major surgery, organ loss, early menopause and a long long painful recovery.
Sarah made good points about diet and genetics that I can relate to: I was vegan for 7 years, never felt great. Then I had my DNA tested (Ancestry/23) and analyzed (FoundMyFitness). I found that I had MTHFR and an unusually high requirement for choline. I changed my diet and now have very regular AM elimination. I adopted the Zone Diet (read "The Resolution Zone" book), took one three month round of a soul based probiotic, and walk most days.works for me!
Nice video about a complicated topic that needs much more attention. Just finished watching the 13:38 video of Sarah Greenfield chatting about gut health, pool, nutrition, eating a balanced diet, and the importance of probiotic supplements. Thanks for your work on this project. And now, I am going to go drink another two glasses of water...
After being surrounded by a Hostile Work Environment; Bullying, harassing by coworkers; being attacked & assaulted I developed GERD, hiatal hernia, & inflammation. I had been seeking help from my Employer (VA Hospital)for over a year & everyone up my Chain just ignored me. I am in so much PAIN every day. It hurts to Eat, the Meds don't really help. I'm trying different natural things, which do not always work. Trying to get help or Relief. I'm 112lbs & 5'6" & I've always been chubby my whole Life. I've never been skinny. I'm afraid I will die of Malnutrition. Trying to find a Natural way to heal. I know this was all caused by this Enormous amount of stress put on my body by this work situation. If you haven't already, please do a video for people with GERD, hiatal hernia, etc. I'm also Type 2 Diabetic & already had Anxiety. Now, I am just feeling hopeless. Ty 🙏
I took the quiz but my gut already knew before i took it that I am a SAGE to a T.... This was great and so interesting! Thank you so much for this show
Thank you for this information and interview. I love the light music in the background. I listened to this entire video on my walk today and will be learning more about Sarah and taking that quiz! Thanks for providing this!
Ive spent a year and a half working on my physical health. Water is my only source of liquid, i dont eat fast food, focus on protein and fiber, yet im still inflamed, weak, dealing with reflux issues and BLOATED! I even got an IUD to stop my periods because it was so bad during them too... i would love to run into someone like sarah in real life. So much work but im not done.. at least i poop every day again!!
I’ve had extensive testing and when I try the things the tests pointed to I get so much worse I can’t make it to work and if I don’t work I don’t eat! The more I try to get my gut in order the worse it gets. I am at the point I am ready to give up 💯. I’ve been trying to find an answer for 30 years and NO ONE and NO EATING PLAN can help
Eliminate processed foods, processed meats and sugar. Watch Bobby Price - 4 Most Toxic foods. Start you day with a piece of organic lemon (good for both liver and kidneys). Egg is good for the liver. Parsley/correander, garlic is good for the kidneys.
Very interesting and important conversation and a great question asking skill to open up a lot of relevant information. I have to admit, the background music got to be a lot too much at some point. It was distracting
Was a lovely way to spend a Sunday morning listening to your beautiful voice and intonation. Great content and helped open my eyes to a lifelong problem. Thanks! x
Wow thank you for going to such lemgths to share this information.. I immediately went looking for a local functional medicine practitioner and found an amazing person to begin working with 😊 I feel like function medicine is what I've always longed for.. it just doesn't make sense to run all over town spending money we cant afford on many different specialists who do not confer with each other
I just recently watched this video and found it very informative! I don't necessarily have any specific issues but the concepts overall were helpful. My biggest takeaway though? The comment about having a goal of so many whole foods per week. That was huge for me! I am very goal oriented and teling myself to shoot for 30 (maybe eventually 40!) different whole foods per week. I love this! I am jotting them down and it is motivating to see how many healthy foods I can get into a week. I am not eating to lose weight but to be HEALTHY! Thanks for this video! Really enjoying your channel.
I believe that idea came from Dr Greger’s latest book. I’ve noticed a lot of nutritionists, dieticians and TH-camrs are picking up on it, which is a good thing. He’s my go-to for any dietary advice because he’s always ahead of the pack and backs everything up with science.
Thanks for sharing Amanda! It’s really fun when we can gamify health a bit! I have been choosing “mixes” recently: mixed berries, mixed greens, seed mixes. Hoping this helps me diversify a bit since I can definitely get into a cycle of eating the same favorite foods. 🧡
I am a 61 year old who has been vegan for 5 years, I have never felt healthier. There is no way I would ever go back to eating meat. There is also heaps of research out there from non biased sources that support this. This research indicates that the vegan diet is healthy for all people. It reduces inflammation and lots of veggies, fruits, nuts and legumes increases and diversify gut microbiome. Not eating animal products also eliminates the antibiotics and chemicals within these products that kill off good gut bacteria. I also no longer have any issues with cholesterol and blood sugar.
Was mostly vegan, vegetarian & strictly whole foods for about 7 years. Got super skinny ( not a goal , but a side effect) had a violent kundalini event. Starting craving meat, my body did, my mind was still conflicted. Yet, my body needed it. I never enjoyed sugary types of food, or too much meat or seafoods. Although my family did somewhat growing up, we ate decently well in comparison to the way foods are now. Now, I enjoy intuitively eating & it is serving me well so far.
There's also heaps of non biased research out there that supports the opposite. It's not cookie cutter for everyone. Vegan was NOT good for me in any way shape or form - bloods and physical impact was not good. Glad it's working for you. It's not a blanket solution for all. (Re: minute 43:00 in the video). It is difficult when one follows highly educated medicos flying the 'plant flag', but there's also just as many highly educated medicos flying the more 'quality meat based flag'. Navigating these opposites is challenging. Perhaps it's something in between for most of us (as referenced in this video) and some of us need more plant based and others more animal protein? Imho I think quality is a missed opportunity most don't talk about. Detoxing and having healthy mitochondria is super important, not poisoning your system with toxins year on year. Whatever one consumes needs to be quality. All food groups in our mainstream food supply systems are prone to toxins, contaminants, bad bacteria, chemical additives etc due to its processing e.g. spraying, soil depletion etc etc . Quality always - no matter which 'flag' your food choice sits under. I don't eat meat with antibiotics or chemicals, so its not the meat that's the problem, its the additives. My cholesterol is also perfect, great HDL to Trigs ratio. Never had blood sugar issues. However, I wore a CGM for 3 months recently and the only foods that spiked my insulin was high carb plant based food and my energy crashed afterwards. I'm a 57yo post meno F. I also don't eat for example berries or apples from mainstream stores. They're vegan friendly, but I wouldn't consume them for the exact reasons I wouldn't consume 'altered' meat - crap quality. To each their own. If one is truly doing well and living well, then they can sit under any 'flag' they want. Cheers and well done to them, I say! And to you, you appear happy and healthy and are doing great, so keep doing you.
Thank you both for the work that you do. I have been to so many doctors including gastroenterologists and asked for testing and none of them have told me that these types of diagnostics were even available.
I immediately took the quiz and was amazed at the accuracy. This is beautiful and has given clarity to my journey. Thank you so much for your content. 😊😊
Oohwee; After 2 bouts w serious COVID infection and all the illness that unfolds from that monster is overwhelming. This is so supportive empathetic and necessary in addressing most reality now. I feel so so grateful for this interview!! Thank you thank you thank you.
Aw that’s great to hear! If you’re interested in hearing Sarah get even more practical, we recently filmed a Part 2 👉 th-cam.com/video/NHuamWEoR1c/w-d-xo.htmlsi=z8jT3pOwJYs4CCsh
A revelation for me was that inflammation causes leaky gut, whereas for a long time I thought it was the other way around. Of course leaky gut creates more inflammation in return.
I prefer no music either for an interview, but I love the light lounge music that is playing in the back. If you’re going to do music, that’s the way to go.
Thank you. I could be one of those supplement graveyard owners, but for the most part I work through what supplements are doing the job (punny right?) Yes I am surprised you didnt mention psyllium and things that carry moisture into bowel. Very interesting to know that Estrogen and progesterone influence motility. I felt peace and mental stimulation while listening to this interview. I was taking notes and making notes about unrelated ideas that popped into my head while listening. 😮❤
Thank you for sharing!! So beautiful to hear. I can also relate to having a (mini) “supplement graveyard”. I have been trying to be so picky about supplements I chose to buy and consume but somehow I still collect some tombstones. Hehe
I am babysitting for someone with no choice, and for someone that doesn't want kids due to not like going thru the trouble, this has affected my mental health and my gut health have been declining...
I always see gut health popping up on every self care checklist, they talk about different strains, how bacteria produce neuro chemicals like serotonin. But I never personally felt any benefits in when investing in expensive multi strain high dose supplements, or eating yoghurts, kmichi, sauerkraut, yakults, kefir, and all the rest of them. I still take probiotics because science tells me to, but never felt any difference thh
Coz you don't need to. Our bodies are already home to trillions of microbes densest in the gut, they will flourish by themselves when we make right life choices.
WOW! This was true enlightenment. This truly came to me at the perfect time! I was struggling with diarrhea for what feels like decades (it's definitely at least 1 year straight without end) and it made me feel miserable every single day. I'm autistic, I have ADHD, and I grew up with a covertly narcissistic mother, who made me feel unsafe all throughout my life. I never was diagnosed as a child and I grew up with an intense amount of stress. I'm trying to recover by accepting and loving myself more and finally enjoying life which was impossible to me before. My mom was also forcing me to have the worst diet. For example, I had Greek yogurt in the morning, one apple at school, and then nothing but water because my mother had 0 energy to make food for me even though she was unemployed. The Jojo effect was very intense to the point that I almost had full-on diabetes but I could avert it by precautional intake of metformin (which was expensive since I didn't have type-2 diabetes). After all of this I just barely ever had good poops it was always liquid and my stomach would hurt from having it inside. Up until seeing this video I had 0 ideas about what was wrong with me. It's already hard enough to struggle with the thought of "I'm a broken person...What is wrong with me?" not only from a neurodivergent point of view but also from the gut side, too. And finally, I found answers to why my gut is doing the things it does! Tysm
HI! Have a lot of similarities with your story. Also neurodivergent. Are there any changes you made after seeing this video and is your gut any better? Am struggling myself, so other peoples experiences wtih the same kind of gut, brain and nerveous system can be helpful to me.
Hi! Really excited for you. Would she be able to help or have advice for having SIBO? I've been on a healing journey without much success for over 7 years with more than 3 different naturopaths. Thanks
Ah yes, I can relate to this. Long healing journey, not much success, naturopaths and other modalities not helping, diagnosed SIBO. It's a challenge, hey!
Hey Robin, I just came across your channel, and you have amazing content! Love your energy and your beneficial videos. Looking forward to benefiting more from your content. Stay blessed ✌🏼
Thank you for the kind words! 👋 and welcome to this corner of TH-cam ❤️ Let me know if there’s any specific topics you’d love to see covered on this channel. xo Robin
Most helpful to me were the specific mentions of things that can help to repair leaky gut, il share what i got in a reply to this comment, the rest id either heard before or i feel were broad enough that they didnt really reveal her expertise although im sure she does have a deep knowledge base
So upon typing the 3 molecules and a little context from the video into chatgpt i got this back: Approaches to Fixing Leaky Gut #### 1. Glutamine - **Role**: An amino acid that helps in the repair and regeneration of the intestinal lining. - **Mechanism**: Assists in the turnover and rejuvenation of the gut lining, enhancing its integrity and function. #### 2. Immunoglobulins - **Function**: Proteins in the immune system that play a crucial role in identifying and neutralizing foreign objects like bacteria and viruses. - **Gut Health**: May help in managing and reducing gut inflammation, thus aiding in the repair of leaky gut. #### 3. Colostrum - **Definition**: The first form of milk produced by mammals immediately following the delivery of the newborn. - **Benefits**: Contains antibodies and immunoglobulins that can boost the immune system and potentially repair gut lining damage. #### Combined Approach - **Synergistic Effect**: Utilizing a combination of these elements (Glutamine, Immunoglobulins, Colostrum) might provide a comprehensive approach to healing leaky gut. - **Holistic Healing**: Targets various aspects of gut health, from cellular repair to immune support. ### Conclusion While these approaches show promise in addressing leaky gut, it's important to consult healthcare professionals for personalized advice and treatment plans. Individual responses can vary, and professional guidance ensures safe and effective management of health conditions like leaky gut syndrome." I think this response from gpt, although not meant as medical advice shows that experts and creators will have to dig a little bit deeper if they want nerds like me to seek them out, ai will get better but they wont have access to the deep science of things for some time, still worth staying ahead of the game to ensure your channel remains ahead of the game when they start catching up
Thanks for sharing!! We also did a Part 2 that’s even more practical. So perhaps there’s something that may also be of use in this convo: th-cam.com/video/NHuamWEoR1c/w-d-xo.htmlsi=IGyQTFa2ta96Bpin
Btw i am in love with how empathetic you are, i didnt know people could be so understanding and kind with their words and responses, its truly a sight to see@@TheScienceofSelfCare
The quiz doesn’t include choices for having a pescatarian diet or relaxing through different activities. For example I find practicing tennis strokes relaxing.
Hello, thanks for the informative video. Could you please let me know that which test is best to get a good picture of out Gut Microbiome and which foods to avoid? Do you think Viome Testing is good? Would you suggest RNA based testing or DNA based? thanks
1. Use probiotics, the use of probiotics helps reduce irritable bowel symptoms (IBS) and strengthen the immune system 2.
Key takeaways:
1. Identify your body signals, if you are not into it, then try meditation.
2. Know what makes you stress and try to reduce it. Try to become more positive in life, reduce negativity and stay away from toxic atmosphere.

7. Take vitamins test, especially Vitamin D and Vitamin B12

This was the most useful thing from this video
@@user33housecats Yeah, definitely better to beat the addiction and then have it occasionally and really enjoy it.
Hello, what's Teeccino ? I'm a dude with only 3 cats. Gotta love 'em. @@user33housecats

I used to take it personally when my symptoms were dismissed by doctors but I have more sympathy now about how the mainstream doctors really don't know any way to help. I'm sure they would but they don't have the knowledge and tools for a lot of these gut issues and the research is so new and changing!
This is all good stuff but I must point out that Ovulation is NOT what is happening when you get your period - Ovulation should happen 5-14 days AFTER your period - this is not the first time I have heard a female health practitioner say that ovulation happens when you're bleeding and I am bewildered that professionals and women in general believe this.
she said a lot of things that aren't scientific. i'm skeptical about her "expertise"
Atleast this is a good vdo to know what's not true
@TheScienceofSelfCare I think this is really important to cover.

Oh gosh I thought I heard her wrong! Cannot believe she said that.
I have a few friends who also have intestinal and stomach problems and they have applied some methods and shown positive improvements in their stomachs and here are some methods I contribute. Picked up from their shares:
1. Use probiotics, the use of probiotics helps reduce irritable bowel symptoms (IBS) and strengthen the immune system
2. Minimize irritating foods such as coffee, alcohol and hot spicy foods
3. Reduce Stress, there are studies and stories surrounding how stress and mood can directly affect the function of the stomach and intestines
Can you give an example?
Why fermented foods though? Vinegar seems to trigger inflammation for me so this is confusing, thanks
Do you have a recipe you use? I would love to reduce Inflammation in my body!

What have you done to make it better
The piece on self-awareness and emotional healing resonates with other stuff I've been hearing. There is a high proportion of neurons around the gut, so my gut feeling (😊) is that the gut is an emotional center of the body.

Awesome interview. I personally believe, that if we all ate optimally for own bodies, got enough sleep and exercised regularly, disease and sickness would be very rare.😊
would be too easy 😊
The problem is that nobody knows exactly what their body needs!! We’d each need our own specialist and that can get so spendy 😢 but it would be cool to just know what we needed to stay healthy and happy. Mental health issues would practically disappear too!! I wish we could do this haha

I too was told by my doctor that I just “need to eat more fibre” so I went home and ate a ton of bran flakes cereal. Everyone eventually realize health is #1 . period
I’m grateful for having periods of feeling “unhealthy” because it made me value health at a relatively young age!
Thank you!!
Fasting is the was the way to go, and introducing something new after a couple of days helped me.
Sage: Seeking wisdom.
Heroic: Anxious control.
Chameleon: Constant change.
Discerning: Hypersensitive.
Thank you sooo much for the information. I am going to screenshot this to ask my doctor. 🙏

I also no longer have any issues with cholesterol and blood sugar.
i was vegan for 6 years i think it’s a great start to a health journey but no a be all end all in my experience. i also have hashimotos
Was mostly vegan, vegetarian & strictly whole
foods for about 7 years.

Probiotics don't help me, sauerkraut though, that definitely does something in a good way.
Coz you don't need to. Our bodies are already home to trillions of microbes densest in the gut, they will flourish by themselves when we make right life choices.
Fermented sourkraut helped me.@@slavbarbie
Only high dose work..
How to rejuvinate your gut after targeted chemo therapy after my breast cancer. Now rid off .but gut and muscles take a big toll !🙏 from iIndia
Amazing interview! Thank you! The background music was torture to me! It is annoying and unnecessary, very distracting.
Not even 8 minutes in and i was hooked!
Prunes! Lol...what an excellent video, and your guest has hit so many nails on the head, she describes things wonderfully. Thank you!
The supplement graveyard exists NOT because I need it but because I'm desperate to find something that actually helps heal
Thank you very much for your valuable information ♥👍👍

I'm the last one! Nervous system is fried!!! I didn't stop going until I started having gran Mal seizures.
Thanks for sharing. I think many people can relate to that last one. I hope you’re able to get some rest and recuperation in the coming months ❤️
Oh my goodness. The Archetype quiz was nearly spot on about me. My gastro did recommend probiotics...are they really helping me? Maybe.
really great recommendation when I need it the most. Thank you for the awesome interview. really appreciate it!

Wow she’s amazing
Just read Super Gut by William Davis MD.
Most helpful to me were the specific mentions of things that can help to repair leaky gut, il share what i got in a reply to this comment, the rest id either heard before or i feel were broad enough that they didnt really reveal her expertise although im sure she does have a deep knowledge base
So upon typing the 3 molecules and a little context from the video into chatgpt i got this back:
Approaches to Fixing Leaky Gut
#### 1. Glutamine
- **Role**: An amino acid that helps in the repair and regeneration of the intestinal lining.
- **Mechanism**: Assists in the turnover and rejuvenation of the gut lining, enhancing its integrity and function.
#### 2. Immunoglobulins
- **Function**: Proteins in the immune system that play a crucial role in identifying and neutralizing foreign objects like bacteria and viruses.
- **Gut Health**: May help in managing and reducing gut inflammation, thus aiding in the repair of leaky gut.
#### 3. Colostrum
- **Definition**: The first form of milk produced by mammals immediately following the delivery of the newborn.
- **Benefits**: Contains antibodies and immunoglobulins that can boost the immune system and potentially repair gut lining damage.
#### Combined Approach
- **Synergistic Effect**: Utilizing a combination of these elements (Glutamine, Immunoglobulins, Colostrum) might provide a comprehensive approach to healing leaky gut.
- **Holistic Healing**: Targets various aspects of gut health, from cellular repair to immune support.
### Conclusion
While these approaches show promise in addressing leaky gut, it's important to consult healthcare professionals for personalized advice and treatment plans. Individual responses can vary, and professional guidance ensures safe and effective management of health conditions like leaky gut syndrome."
I think this response from gpt, although not meant as medical advice shows that experts and creators will have to dig a little bit deeper if they want nerds like me to seek them out, ai will get better but they wont have access to the deep science of things for some time, still worth staying ahead of the game to ensure your channel remains ahead of the game when they start catching up
Thanks for sharing!! We also did a Part 2 that’s even more practical. So perhaps there’s something that may also be of use in this convo: th-cam.com/video/NHuamWEoR1c/w-d-xo.htmlsi=IGyQTFa2ta96Bpin
Ps: I am a huge personal fan of Glutamine and have heard a lot of good things about Colostrum 💛
Thanks il check out part 2

All information wonderful appreciate ideas
The quiz doesn’t include choices for having a pescatarian diet or relaxing through different activities. For example I find practicing tennis strokes relaxing.
Can someone list the food to est and the one to avoid ? Ty
Hello, thanks for the informative video. Could you please let me know that which test is best to get a good picture of out Gut Microbiome and which foods to avoid? Do you think Viome Testing is good? Would you suggest RNA based testing or DNA based? thanks
This is a really good channel! These videos are so educational and useful.
Thank you! I really appreciate that sentiment.😊🤍
Oh. Please my dear Heavenly Father... ❤
I love the music so dreamy!
I would love to ask her how she feels about the poop pill, is it really the magical gut health reset that it is promising to be?
1. Use probiotics, the use of probiotics helps reduce irritable bowel symptoms (IBS) and strengthen the immune system
7. Take vitamins test, especially Vitamin D and Vitamin B12
8. Try a food for at least 3 days to check if that suits you, stay away if that food makes you bloated
