There's a Video from miss grand staff (Miss grand pageant insider channel) recap on each top 5 in Thai language. He mentioned that Ivana is very helpful contestant along with Lala, they helped other Latina contestants who could not speak English well to communicate with the staffs. May be this was a very strong factor that made Ivana went very far in the competition as she was not only stunning but also very friendly to colleagues, congrats Guatemala!

Trivia: Miss USA and Miss Philippines trained at the same beauty camp here in the Philippines. That's why Samantha was actually happy even though she only finished as 1st Runner-Up. It was all Mr.Nawat's choice in the end, and no matter how broken I am right now, I still feel so happy for Miss Usa, we've known her since Miss Earth. Honestly, everyone was really sad about Sam's placement knowing how she worked hard and exerted so much effort to clinch the first ever MGI crown. It was a heartbreaking moment. However, it is a competition afterall. Miss USA did great too. And I think no one blames her for Sam's lost. It is just that everyone knows how MGI works. Still, congratulations to Miss USA!

I'm Thai and I heard that she practiced Thai language for 4 months before the competition and she did it on the stage, that's so cool and i (and many audience) was really amazing with it. I’m so proud of my country USA, but also I’m from Guatemala and were so proud of her. Our country isn’t know in the pageant industry and the organizations behind it don’t have that much of experience and resources but Ivanna with just 19 years of age did an amazing job with what she was given and she deserves being on that top after overcoming depression and anxiety!!

If the scores were erased as the host have mentioned… and the DECISION was purely based on this last q&a, tell me from your heart The Sovereign that you believe Philippines didn’t give the best answer that’s based on SCIENCE and also from the HEART/her personal and relatable experiences. I love Miss USA and have nothing against her, but I do not agree with the decision. Just look at what governments are doing with vaccine distribution and see which age group are prioritized. The vaccine is not even tested for people below 16yrs old.

@@dondon-sv1fl Right, but at the end, it's Akena who did it and I was crawling on the floor in the same time that she did when she was announced as the winner xD And just seeing her and Samantha being so close to each other was really a heartwarming moment, that may be my most favorite crowning moment, I wasn't even there yet I felt EVERYTHING. And Samantha confirming the Filipino legacy by being their best result ever at MGI, I was just so glad the top 2 was her and Akena!!

The truth is mr.nawat the president of mgi org has a bit hatred to us Filipino PL not our candidates but us as a pageant lovers bcoz when Nicole cordoves didn’t win at that time back in 2016 a lot of Filipinos got mad and bash mgi they even called it as a cooking show! So I think that’s the reason why ph got a small chance to win in MGI bcoz of the toxic pinoy fans
