I agree! I’m rooting for Pasay and Cebu City, I even told myself either one of them should get the crown. But the good thing is Cebu City will surely join again! not next year, but her mother confirmed she’ll join again she’s just gonna focus on her studies first and will come back stronger!♥️

In my opinion, the Philippines has a great chance of bagging another MU crown, especially since they have so much time to prepare. Celeste is already SOOOOO good, so if she irons out that speech, and maybe just add a lil more fire to that swimwear walk, it’s a guaranteed Top 5 spot for Philippines!!!
You really need to watch her prelim interview, much interview challenge and even her Miss Earth's 2018 performance if you thinks she lacks interview skills. She's intelligent, spontaneous and relatable. Just because she was given an easier question, doesn't mean she less intelligent. In fact, she has the most heartfelt and consistent Q&A answers of the night.
@@kerito1993 I do not think she lacks interview skills, she was impeccable and really sympathetic. I almost cried. However for Miss Universe, I think she can obviously do better and like I said, with the necessary training, she could dominate!

I think the misconception about her is she is not intelligent. She is intelligent and smart. She doesn't speak English when she came 4 years ago but damn now she confident.

Glad to know that the Sovereign also has the same feels towards Misamis Oriental, I’ve always known that it’s either Makati or Pasay. I also had the same feels when neither of the Cebu’s got into too 5. Would’ve really wanted for Cebu City to be in that top 5.

Cebu City's my favorite to win.
But if u noticed Miss Cebu City or Chantal, did a lot of mistakes in her camera angles and exposures...her moves are not on the camera timing unlike Celeste or Pasay City.

Baguio and cebu province slayed their walks in swimsuit, so stunning!! I love how genuine cebu city was in her q&a. Makati looked so sophisticated, classy, and rich in that gown and hairstyle. And bohol had the best final q&a answer. But congratulations to pasay for winning the title. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

That's in her speech whenever someone is interviewing celeste she alsways says this "sincerity, relatability, and vulnerability"
And sometimes the simpliest questions are tough to answer.

Before the Coronation night Celeste answered the question in kumu live "Why You Should Be The Next MISS UNIVERSE PHILIPPINES?" and her answer is "I guess my experiences and the challenges I've been through my self really made me the woman I am today which I am so proud Of. And I guess I am not afraid to show my weaknesses, my flaws, and my imperfections. With showing vulnerabilities I am Relatable to people. I show that I am Authentic and I truly believe that is the best Asset that a Beauty Queen can haved. "RELATABILITY AND AUTHENTICITY."

Woah!!! I didn't know this! I love Celeste since top32 was announced. I watched her Interview Challenge and Prelim Interview. I know she's intelligent... But this topped the cake!! I've been annoyed lately for those who thinking she's not as intelligent as Bohol/Pauline simply because she was given an easier question. Well there you have... Proof that she is indeed eloquent and intelligent...

When you watch Celeste's stint at Miss Earth and you watch her MUPH's full performance, you can tell she really worked/studied the hardest. Her improvement is unmatchable.
She’s like a different person now! She really did improve everything, she’s aware that she didn’t gave her best performance during Miss Earth and she learned from it. I know she’ll improve more and give her best soon for Miss Universe💫✨

We Filipinos are just happy to keep our placement streak ongoing and we know we are safe and secured this year with selecting Celeste. Getting our 5th would be a great bonus but we know Celeste will be one of the great contender this year not just because Philippines already have the sash factor for Miss Universe but Celeste is a beauty you can't just ignore she has to be on top and I can see it from now. Yes, queennn! I've been waiting for this reaction ever since the MUP 2022 finished.
Just like you, I also fangirled over CEBU CITY'S answer during the top 10. I like how she made a powerful statement and ended it with a humor and sassiness which won't work for everyone on stage. I still think she deserves top 5. She's pretty much a well-rounded competitor too. She's still young though, so I hope to see her again, improve even more, and slay the MUP stage in the years to come.
Nonetheless, I'm happy for Celeste. She has that IT factor and I think she'll work hard and has a great chance in MU.

11:55 - 12-45 grabe same reaction! Baguio's performance on swimsuit was just perfection. She brings the fire on stage! Baguio really helps other contestants at the back of her seeing her walking the runway. It gives thrill to Cebu province' performance to do better and she did, as well as Misamis Oriental. These ladies did really well!

To be honest, Celeste Cortesi is so so real. Celeste has it all. The minute thing that people might have seen lacking from her can still be improved for months of training. The Philippines is up for another crown. Celeste has been so serious regarding her trainings in all aspects and even uses her rest days to train for her pasarela (catwalk) and English might not be her first language but she did her homework for being distant from pageantry for 3 years. I bet she's gonna make Philippines proud in the 2022 edition of Miss Universe. She's a Miss Universe material though.

The past couple years I wasn’t expecting Philippines to win the MU crown (even though I adored the past two candidates) but this year my eyes are all on Philippines’ Celeste Cortesi. She’s so confident and talented and over all amazing. Philippines definitely has a perfect chance of getting their fifth crown this year, Celeste is a force to be reckoned with and I am expecting great things from her at Miss Universe.

I have always seen Misamis Oriental as one of the top candidates after watching her in the first interview in a venue. She stood out among the girls. If styling is the problem, that can be fixed duri g her training as ms universe ph. Whats important is you can give quick intelligent answers on call. Thats how Pia was back in the day.

The wait was really worth it because the authenticity and the honesty of your reactions have always been something that I look forward to whenever you do reactions. You really make sure that everything is given the proper judgement on this and I couldn't ask for more. I am satisfied with Pasay as the winner. Celeste is my top choice! She showed consistency from start to finish. Very well deserved win. I am sad about the exclusion of Cebu City as she’s my 2nd choice but I hope to see more of her in the future.

Honestly, Baguio and Cebu City should be up there in top 5. However, The panel of judges is a bit diverse plus that Lazada/Kumu voting had a factor on the total scores of the ladies (That voting thing needs to be out of the scoring system, This is a Beauty pageant and not a reality show where sponsors get their money back). That being said, if both Ghenesis and Chantal decide to come back next year then there is something to look forward for to and for sure it's gonna be a bloodbath since these 2 can measure up other countries in the MU stage. I agree with the sovereign, This is A beauty pageant, Packaging is everything, if we base it only on how you communicate and answer question then might as well call it an Extemporaneous Speaking Competition.
Wouldn’t another contestant from their province or city would want to try out next year? Their returning may deny someone else a chance.

I also thought the same that the threat of Pasay is Cebu City, Chantal! She was impeccable in all aspect and I almost got stroke that she didn't make it to the top 5! With that said, it was Celeste's night and it's her crown! Nonetheless, I realized that MUP was really logically strategic of not putting Chantal in the top 5 because if they did (which she obviously deserves) then she'll become a runner up preventing her from automatically joining again next year to get her head a crown place by Celeste! I was sad for Cebu City, with her performance i had envisioned her and Pasay City as the last 2 standing. She's a natural, i mean she is who she is, a true queen and that she deserves one of the top spots. 😔

Miss Misamis Oriental is still young (20), I say give her a better team to help her pasarela, Q&A, and styling. Her greatest weapon as a queen is her willingness to learn. She'll definitely be Miss Universe Philippines in the future if she plays her cards right.
Miss Taguig is the best onstage performer but she needs to work communication skills, the exact opposite is Miss Bohol she speaks so well but she needs to work on her on stage performance and presence.
Miss Makati is a balanced in all areas except being relatable to the average Juan and Maria.
Miss Universe Philippines was Miss Pasay's pageant to lose and unless she fumbled in personality interview and final Q&A, which she also nailed, she was already definitely winning the entire pageant.
Maybe she should try out for another pageant in one of those European countries where the competition is a lot less fierce.
@Rj Yuggy Belgium had already crowned a Filipina but she was unplaced at MU. Maybe a bit too soon to happen again.

Super agree about Albay’s Q&A!!! For the whole finals, she surprised me performance wise. I really wanted her in the top 10, but after the Q&A, I just felt like it was either forced or not super authentic. I don’t want to say fake because the story was probably real, but the tone was very ingenuine-like and like it was an act to seem precious or something. I can’t put my finger on it. But she killed the dress, the walk & the overall look! I hope she comes back!
Yess! We want a strong woman whon can inspire, not a pitiful queen. Tho her answer was pretty heartfelt I don't feel the fire from it I only felt bad from her 😔
For me, I felt her sincerity but I think she was overboard. She shared so much knowing it was just a casual question that needs a casual answer. Overall she's undeniably a strong contender!
Yup her delivery was like forcing us to indulge her life experience instead of inspiring us and motivating us, it comes too bragging for me.
Albay had a mishap with the voiceover as she corrected it on stage but also the intro video they used for her was an old one and that they were supposed to show the new and updated video. I guess Ms Albay was frustrated because of all that.
I think that if the other girls were ask the wrong background story i doubt they can answer as solid as Miss Albay’s answer. She nailed that Q&A!!!
