I have a k24 Honda accord 8th gen sitting I’m waiting for my son to become old enough to drive. The transmission is out. But your videos have inspired me to go ahead fix the rattle noise from faulty valve and to install the k20 oil pump. Is there a noticeable difference in horsepower after the oil pump has been installed?
I have a 2009 Honda Civic SI Coupe. I've been having P2647 issues, I recently changed out the VTEC Solenoid Spool Assembly, also the front screen, VVT Soenoid, engine harness, did a Liqui Moly Flush, and still the error code. Recently ran over a boulder and this took out my oil pan, found out the the engine block was completely destroyed, and purchased an entire K24 engine. I have a K20 head with K24 Block, using K24 Oil pump and everything else is from K20. The car is running amazing, but if I hit 6000 RPM, the VSA, Caution light, and Engine light will all come on, when this happens my car will not go past 4000 RPM, it will go into limp mode. After 1 day or so, the VSA and Caution light will go off and the car is now able to past 4000 RPM again, good until I try to hit VTEC again at 6000 RPM and the same thing repeats again, can anyone tell me what the issues is so I can finally get my car fixed and enjoy VTEC again. Thank you.

I have a k20a euro r, and the pump looks like the k24 pumps, but the pickup baffle is preventing me from running a steel pan. I'm fresh outof money so I can afford a type s pump right now. Is it possible to just take that baffle cap on the pickup off and swap it for a k24 style one that's shallower so my pan fits? Cant find the answer anywhere
