Hey bud, love the videos. Question, what budget tensioner do you recommend ?
Awsome work it would cost a fortune to do all that keep gunning merry christmas to AK47 FAMILY
Great and informative video, my only question is if the arrow on the front cam phaser/cam gear on the intake side. Does it need to align with the arrow on the 1st cam cap when TDC is set and all other marks line up?
Awesome vid....
A Video I’ll need (saved) shortly. Thanks Aki

“Gang Gang Ima Gunna Now Bang Bang!“

Thanks brother!
Great video
Great video! One question, if you did not push on the chain tensioner to make it click, would you have an issue? Or would it eventually click when the engine starts running?
Push the tensioner out 2 clicks on stock cams and done. Nice informative video man. 👍
There’s no body out there like my boy AKI‼️‼️‼️ The GUNNER MOVEMENT IS GOING TO TAKE OVER!! #FUCKARACER #ITSAGUNNERWORLD!!🔫🔥💨

Yerrrrrrr
Now let's do it while it's inside the car! 😁
Thanks brother about to start my k24 build. 🔫🔫🔫
🔥🔥🔥
Bar none the k series chain tensioner is VERY VERY crucial to keeping your K alive !!! A brand new aftermarket one that’s beefed up like Ktuned, Toda or Skunk2 In my personal opinion is the way to go! Especially w/ aftermarket cams. Keep Gunnin 🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫
Hey great videos thanks. I have a question about cutting the oil pump. I bought the pump precut by another person and they cut away the threaded boss instead of shaving it down. What’s bolts down to that boss and how important is it? I was thinking I could just weld on another boss if it’s critical. Thanks
Aki about this video, did you reuse the timing chain or they are new? I bought an used low mileage JDM k24A motor from Japan and been thinking if I should get a new set of timing chain while doing the type s oil pump. What is your recommendation? By the way, for the oil pump, by replacing the balance shaft style oil pump to type s. Will it cause the engine to vibrates more? What’s your commend on type s oil pump swap? Thx a lot
Thank you sir
First 💪😎 🤘
Carlos Soria checking in
Yo dude i know this is part 2 of the oil pump swap on a k24a2. I thought there was 2 spots you have to plug the m12 bolt you showed and a 5/16-18 plug under the pump let me know if thats somthing that should be done
Yo aki i know you are using a 02 to 04 rsx type s engine harness is there anything i gotta do to make it work on the k24a2 like switching sensors or plugs on the harness?
Hey Aki would you recommend a oil pan baffle for a stock K24 going to be boosted?
KEEP GUNNIN
Thank you. #KEEPGUNNING
So I took the cam cover off to replace my VTC following another vid. That vid had me take the sprockets off the ends of both the intake and exhaust cams. In doing so I'm pretty sure I let the tension off the chain which jumped a tooth or two on the crankshaft sprocket (engine has not been removed from the car) and the cams rotated on me (didn't know about pinning in back). Is there a way to tell TDC on the crankshaft sprocket so I can properly align the cams without removing the crankshaft sprocket? Thanks!
When you released the tensioner it looked like your crank moved one tooth.. watch the wrench on the crank shaft. Wouldn't that make the timing off?
Hey how's it going?. I'm thinking on doing this job on my K24 while the engine still on the car, i'm also doing the oil pump chain, guide, tensioner ect , how would you suggest i could hold the engine up after removing the side engine mount and oil pan? Any tips, suggestions. Thank you.
