I inherited a 05 Civic EM2 EX SE 5 speed and I was never in the import scene maybe bc I just never opted to buy one. But since I've own this civic I've fallen In love with it I've now owned it for about 2 years and seeing the K series engine and the potential it has has opened my eyes. The only thing for me has been and I'm sure we can agree is that there is a lot of misleading information on the internet. I like your channel and what you guys are doing so my plan now is to swap a k series in my EM2 thanks again for your channel maybe one day we can meet at the track.
Currently halfway on doing my straight k24 swap into my ek hatch , thanks for all the input and I can relate since I'm in the kinda semi budget buld on my motor , maybe one of the best straight forward vids , keep it up and more power to your channel !!

I wouldn't say that loosing 2mph because of putting the duckbill on the car was dumb, because me personally when you get into the 9s that extra bit of down force does make the car feel alot more stable when you get over 130mph in the 1/4
I’m in the process of building a k24/k20(tsx/Z1) since my z1 started knocking. I wanted to go atleast 11.5.1 compression and was looking into RL5 pistons. However, I was reading some forums and RL5 pistons have some clearance issues or what not. Wanted to know your inputs on which pistons to go with. Thanks again for the vid and thanks for sharing! My wagon puts down 220whp fbo and still gets 30mpg highway on road trips/daily driving . All depends on the tune and your driving habits. Key factor on this car is weight. My old rsx s, fbo got better gas Mileage with the same power but less weight and the 6speed transmission.

No, you’d have to go full blown, forged pistons etc. high end, for most stuff. Change everything but the block, head and crank. Except you’d also need to port the head so if you’re not doing that yourself, gotta buy a cnc ported k24a2 head. Look up 9 or 10k rpm NA built motor builds on TH-cam, there’s a few.

The port job looks very nice. You can tell he knew what he was doing. His very nice work is responsible for a chunk of that 300 hp.

What kind of torque numbers are you seeing with that engine?
