  • I wanted to show how this design progressed through three iterations and why.

    That white handle one will end up being a great kitchen knife i imagine.

      The first two knives I made can cut on a cutting board without having the handle touch it. But out of the two the one with the white handle is better suited for a kitchen. Good eye.

    That last one, even tho it is a trailing point, but it is also kinda clip point. Looks really fresh. Can't think of any knife that looks as well. Mind if i snatch that spine design for my knives?

      Yeah, go for it. You don’t have to ask, your always welcome to use any of my knife designs. The knives you make are super nice.

      @@totesmalotes I have never seen a Handel like that. Fantastic design👍👍

      @@torgomax thanks. I haven’t seen one like this either. If I needed to name it I would call it a seahorse knife handle.

    maybe add an d guard or something, so you can punch things as well

      and can you create an blade blank for the expada xl out of magnacut, then install it on an taken apart handle, so you can edc an magnacut short sword

      @@stefthorman8548 I’ve actually been thinking of making a blade for my Espada large. There’s a chance of me doing that but an XL would be nuts.

    That handle looks awesome. Does it shock your pinkie?

    • @totesmalotes
      @totesmalotes  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      At first the area for the pinky wasn’t wide enough and it would concentrate the shock there more, kind of like a pinch but not exactly. Grinding it wider and leaving the handle scales relatively wide there got rid of any problems. So no, it doesn’t shock my pinkie, but good eye for noticing that in the design.

    have you made/ designed any sheaths for them ?

    • @totesmalotes
      @totesmalotes  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, I made Kydex sheaths for all of them. The height of the spine after the handle makes it a bit harder but by the third knife the sheath came out pretty nice.

    You should train in low cost steels, until you make nice grinds. Not good yet.

    • @totesmalotes
      @totesmalotes  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My grinds aren’t great but I don’t think that they’re so bad that they’ve ruined the steel I’m working with. Any specific criticism that you can point out that would help?
