Always good to see one of your videos pop up. I just got a sharpal dual grit hand sharpener. Its the one with a paracord handle and a leather cover. Very nice it works amazing on my machete and big blades. I just got back to using stones. Had a few blades i put off. Normally i use a 1x30. But certain blades im scared ill take to much. Im very happy with my mora Garberg now. Before it wasn't really good. Man you really put a edge on that i could tell by the sound cutting paper. When you can cut paper towels you've really did good.
Hello, hope you’re doing well. Yeah the edge on the knife came out pretty good, thank you. Every now and then I look up the Garberg to look up videos on it. Do you have the carbon version? The sound of what you cut is a good indicator of sharpness too. It’s good to be aware of all the feedback you get when you’re testing something. Thank you for mentioning the sharpener you use, I like to look up the stuff you mention or recommended since it’s been helpful before.
Definitely the diamond was worse on paper towell. My guess is it refined the apex faster and more effectively than crox, so youre seeing the effects of the emulsion having removed all the teeth the stone left behind, whereas Crox left some in place to catch the paper towel fibers
The design is an American Tanto. So the function is mostly for self defense. This design gives the knife a good weight at the front because the width only tapers about an inch and a quarter from the tip, which helps the knife chop very well. The secondary tip helps with penetration when you chop at something. A curved blade will want to slide off harder surfaces but the secondary tip of this knife helps it dig in and also cut through thick clothing. Overall it’s a design I would recommend.
lined notebook paper is probably made cheaper with lower grade wood pulp - because it doesnt need to stand up to the printer machine process * maybe just an idea of mine -- kind of like cheap paper towels and toilet paper
Check out my emulsions, top preformance and priced fair. Jende makes good stuff that I would put on as an equal to mine as they run very high abrasive concentration as well but they Cost much per ounce and the application method is no good and causes you to overload parts of the strop.

The more sharpening I do, the more I think I've joined a cult.
You haven’t sharpened enough because then you would be sure.
Nice video ❤
Thank you.

Thank you for the breakdown. That does make sense.
Beautiful job 🔪
May I ask to learn what’s this kind of knife function?

@@totesmalotes thanks a billion for comprehensive explanation. 🍻
@@DaryooshF.Sh.P-vq6mu no problem, glad to help.

You know I’ve never thought of it but that makes sense. I’ve been trying to reflect on things I usually don’t pay attention to, thanks.

I think the Jende I have so far is pretty good, though I like knowing about different options so thanks.
Think your putting to much pressure when stroping.
Hmm I’ll try putting less pressure next time to see if it makes a difference. Thank you.
