I work at subway and I just wanted to see how y’all did it at jersey mikes I just learned abt it. Been working subway over a year BUT YALL GOT SKILL we just got our slicers in but that gave me anxiety…
I work service too, I feel like I cab take notes from your customer voice. I thought I was good at ritzin' them up, but youre the master.
On various Google reviews of random JM's, I'm seeing quite a few customers complaining about bread being hard and or stale. Do they keep selling the old bread day after day, before baking some more? What is JM's bread policy?
Bread is prepped and cooked in the morning starting at 7 am daily. It's kept throughout the day and I've personally never had an issue with the bread getting stale. Depending on how much bread you go through you tend to have to make more by 3 pm for night shift. I've only seen bread become hard and stale after 2 days. Which should never happen as you have to throw all the unused bread out at the end of the day. You do make two large cambros of bread for tomorrows hot sub use but even those have to be thrown out at 2 pm the next day.

I love Jersey Mike's. My favorite sub shop. Can i walk in and ask to buy the bread? If so, how much is the bread by itself?
Each store may be a little different depending on location but I think $1 mini $1.49 regular $2.49 Giant for the breads 😌
I have an interview Tuesday excited but kind of nervous so now I'm trying to see what it's like😭😭😭

Worked at a place where my colleague got his hand snagged in the meat slicer blade…never looked at one the same ever since! Was a hot mess.

And honestly really breaks my heart when I have to scoop bread after baking. Such good looking bread for customers and then there's some that I just want to take the soul out of it LOL

professional food grade sanitizer. cleans the slicer, the table, and everything else. he puts the bread on the table, the meat on the slicer, which have both been cleaned by the rag.

As a jersey mikes employee of a year I can say I have no idea why people ask to scoop out the bread. I’ve tried it many times and it just makes the thickness of the bite only meat and cheese. But each to their own I suppose.

So much handling of the bread and sandwiches, gross...at least he changed his gloves once, most places don't even do that! Went to Jersey Mike's saw the guy make a sandwich with mayo, and the guy put too much mayo on, that it was coming out the side of the bread, so with his pointed dirty glove finger, he wiped it off and then wiped in on the side of the counter, I couldn't believe it!

Trained and encouraged to do it at JM. Plus as a past Shift Lead I can say small talk with customers ended up turning into some genuinely interesting conversations as regulars begin to tell you about their life, ask you more personal questions and actually get to know each other. Keep up the good work ED & AJ!
