  • Hello loves!
Just a quick little cutie to show you all.
This video is a good visual for you all to see how I use my hairdryer to push the ink around. Always from the outside, allowing the air to hit the surface and push from the sides of the puddles, NEVER directly on top when I'm trying to control the inks. It is ok to do it when the majority of the evaporation has occurred, and your puddle isn't going to get wayward and blow out in weird finger-ish shapes.
This little pretty, i called "Tulip to my lips".
I made this piece to take to PourCon with me to display in the artist's gallery.
I can't even begin to tell you all what a positive experience it was to participate at PourCon- I will always have room for improvement, but I can honestly say I came away from it feeling a great sense of achievement. Teaching in-person was incredible for my confidence, so thank you squillions to those who chose my classes, stopped to chat with me, or wanted my class but just couldn't jag it amongst the schedule. You're all appreciated!
So, the colour I couldn't quite get right in this clip was Natural lipstick by #copic
I also used Ranger ink (i think it was pitch black, but may have been eggplant 🤔 sorry, I can't recall!)
    and as always; pinata brass.

I just love watching you push those inks around you can make it look so easy lol I’m gonna hit the table in a little bit and have a go at it. I’ll let you know how it went.🤦‍♀️😜

I love how you also use your brush to takeaway colour - very effective.

Thank you! I use both my left and right hands for those little things in my inkwork. Sometimes it's best to not stop or hesitate, so i just use the best hand available 😅 3 hands would be optimal here 🤣

It’s just so pretty. Is it just enough blending solution to cover the pigments or do you have a different ratio?

Are you referring to the video on making inks with mica? If that's what you mean, then I'd actually go a bit more than that. Just enough to wet them might not be quite enough to hold them in place on your substrate. You will have to test it out

Are the inks that you used here diluted?

    • @CoolBreezeArtStudio

I used the colour right from the bottle and diluted with iso to move it all on the yupo, but my metallics are always pre diluted in little bottles x
