Thanks for the great video. I was curious about the Pinata varnish. But, about 3 minutes into the video, you used a whitish colored squeeze bottle to flood the surface before applying the Aqua Pinata ink. What was in the squeeze bottle? Was it Isopropyl Alcohol, extender, blender ???? Thanks 🤔
Thanks for this video. It’s great to see a product made by the same company that makes the alcohol inks. I hope I’ll be able to find it where I live in Europe. With regards to the mica powder coming off when you pass your hand over it, you might want to try mixing it with Blending Solution instead of isopropyl alcohol as it contains resin and apparently this helps bind the mica powder to the surface you are painting on. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’ve seen it on various videos. I’ll get round to it sooner or later, sooner hopefully. 🥰
Those are gorgeous. You are so good at telling and showing how things are done, you should start having classes and teaching people. I would sign up. You would do great.
Clara, does this varnish have UV protection? Also, since it is self leveling, I was surprised that bumps formed (unless drying time is fast ). Did air bubbles disappear? Thanks for the review.
There is no mention on the product or their website that it has UV protection, so I would assume not unless specified. The bubbles did go away. The bumps were formed where I scraped my brush on the edge, so that is something to avoid when applying. Otherwise it did level out overall. Not as well as resin does, but levels out non the less.
For this video I did not. I wanted to see if it would reactivate the inks or move the resinart product. However, for future pieces I will do 3-4 light coats of the archival spray before varnish.
Hi Clara, Thank you for sharing, i am obsessed with your and RK3’s work. Question, my inks do not seem to mix all the way, there is chunks/clumps in them no matter how much i shake them. I am using ranger inks and they also have the ball in the bottles. I use 91% alcohol. Please any advice would help, it is ruining my projects and very frustrating as i am still trying to master inks. I appreciate it
A couple of things. How old are your inks and are you in a high moisture environment? If only a few of your inks are doing it on a regular basis and you are shaking them enough, I would replace them. Also, if you are using white with them, that has a tendency to break down when adding alcohol to it. Try blending solution instead.
@@ClaraLawrence thank you. My ink is brand new it was the first time I used them but that’s not saying that they didn’t sit on hobby lobby shelf for a bit. I will try the blending solution. 🙏

Oh my! Very cool 😎
Thanks so much
Thank you Clara! I have been very curious about this product.
You are welcome. Thanks for watching
Great video! Thank you for sharing your review!

Did the second coat fix the bump? Thanx
Would u still recommend spraying it with uv archival first and then this varnish? Thanks for sharing this new product!
I would still recommend it as alcohol inks are not lightfast and very sensitive to fading. All the help they can get is a bonus.
@@ClaraLawrence thanks for the advice Clara!! 💜💜

That was a great review of that product very good for AI users but of course there is a learning curve with everything thanks Clara 💞😃😺✌🏼
Thanks. Couldn't have said that better myself. :)

Do u put any ki d of spray before varnish. Like kamar?
