Samuel Rodrigues was descended from a long line of swordsmen, dating back to 16th century Japan. His father ran a Brazilian Kenjutsu dojo, and specifically taught the Uradachi technique, better known as Satsujin-ken or "the murdering sword," which dealt with violence as the end goal. Sam's father was eventually killed by one of his pupils, with one of the drug cartels being rumored to have been involved for reasons and methods unknown, although not before Sam personally inherited his Murasama blade from his father. He then left Brazil, presumably to train, and eventually returned to kill the pupil in question before leaving Brazil permanently.
Afterwards, he travelled the world as a mercenary, and taking various odd jobs, including a job as a bodyguard and as a cleaner for the Mafia and the like. He also made a name for himself in the criminal underworld, especially within South and Central America, with one story being that he managed to take down a hit squad composed of 10 mob enforcers with automatic weapons using only his sword during the early 2000s, a time before cyborg technology was available. At some point, he had the Murasama blade modified into an HF blade with an ID lock. Already a superlative sword, this led to the creation of an incredibly powerful HF Blade which glowed an eerie red color.
At some point, Sam learned about Steven Armstrong's involvement with World Marshal, and decided to kill him for "sacrificing soldiers from the comfort of an office." Unbeknownst to him, however, Armstrong and Monsoon had arranged for his arrival at Denver to recruit him, in large part because of his taking out several drug cartels. He proceeded to infiltrate the compound via the sewer systems of Denver, although not before killing two DPD cyborg police officers who caught him attempting to enter. He later encountered the LQ-84i prototype unmanned gear who had orders to kill Sam, presumably from Armstrong. Sam proceeded to tell him that he should think for himself. The LQ-84i briefly considered his advice but was unable to disobey his directives due to Desperado blackmailing him with a memory wipe. The LQ-84i was then defeated by Sam, with him mentioning that he fought of his own choosing as why he prevailed over the mech. The LQ-84i believed that his defeat was resulted by a flaw in its design, but Sam reassured the UG that it was because of his superior skill.
Leaving the ruined mech behind, he then proceeded to enter the premises of World Marshal. Upon gaining entry, he then attempted to use the lifts, although his presence activated a lockdown on the lifts before he could reach his destination. Sam, upon defeating the reinforcements, managed to reach his destination by jumping up on the crates and eventually entered a hangar area. He then encountered Monsoon, who questioned his motives regarding his slaughtering of a drug cartel. Sam told Monsoon that he left Brazil since he had no need to stay anymore due to his exacting revenge (referring to his father's death at the hands of one of his pupils). After a debate regarding the consequences of Sam's actions, Monsoon dropped a RP grenade down to his level and then summoned a Metal Gear RAY UMG unit to attack him.
He later had a final duel with Raiden in the Badlands of Colorado, with Blade Wolf bearing witness to it. He was killed by Raiden in the Badlands by a swift stab through his torso following an intense battle. Prior to his duel and ultimate death, he confided in Blade Wolf, wondering whether or not his actions were right after seeing that the convictions held by Raiden were once his own. Depending on what the outcome was, they would either continue with the planned international incident Operation Tecumseh, or he would hand down his sword to Blade Wolf and leave him with the decision of what to do with the sword. Blade Wolf would eventually deliver the sword to Raiden when he was at Armstrong's mercy.
Raiden stabs Samuel in the torso, killing him
Upon Sam's death, Raiden discovered that Sam barely had any cyborg enhancements at all. In fact, besides the exoskeleton that encased his otherwise-human body, only his right arm was actually purely cybernetic.

I would like to point that even though sam lost to raiden in the end I honestly couldn't tell who would actually win 100%.
Ik that the codex convos say sam was going all out. But based on the recording that wolf plays about sam in the final battle it shows he was harbouring a small amount of doubt going into the duel. And as shown in game not being completely commited to ones ideals and path does hold back their full power. Raiden being the example. So by their duel their mental states had switched raiden knowing his ideals without question and sam wondering if he's actually right having seen the commitment of raiden.

@@mercury2157 Despite fighting like he's going all out, like Raiden in the beginning he pretty much started doubting the cause he's fighting even his theme song has the lyric "Don't know the season or what is the reason I'm standing here holding my blade" this series showed us no matter how skilled you are if you're not committed to completing the mission/ideals you're not going all out 100%, hell Solid Snake completes his mission not just because he's skilled it's because of how determined he was on completing the mission. Raiden for example at least showed he was full on board with himself and his dedication with killing Sam unlike himself not "yearning for the blood of his enemies" if it was Sam in the beginning fighting Raiden that currently got his new body who were both 100% with what they think the battle could of gone either way.

This isn't the same Raiden he fought back in Africa, this is a much more powerful raiden who repeatedly surpass and defeated every other Winds of Destruction from Monsoon to Sundowner, so Sam has no reason to hold back

@@elvisadika7458 tbf Raiden says he’s analyzed his moves and strategies since the first round, imo Raiden had that advantage as well as the stamina and damage resistance granted by his cyborg physiology. Sam also gives Raiden plenty of distance and warning before doing the Quick Draw, where as Armstrong was mid-engagement with Sam and have never seen the Quick Draw b4, so I don’t think it quite scales to Raiden’s speed.

It's also likely that, since this is a DLC made months after the main game, this was an feature made post-production for Armstrong

One of the most important evidence i have is, Armstrong eye's glows a sharp red only for the end-phase for Raiden with Sam's blade, but not for the first Phase or Sam's own fight

That's why I think that Armstrong was just as strong against Sam than he was against Raiden. The fight is just harder (even though it is shorter) because Sam is meant to be an extremely skilled person, and that skill is reflected in the skill you need to beat the DLC bosses

In fact, all he had to say after defeating Sam was simply “Not bad, son.” Sam’s skilled yes, but that skill only takes you so far if you can’t physically contend with your opponent.
It would be SO AWESOME if we got a sequel to this and Jetstream Sam cameback as a full blown CYBORG. Brought back to life by the machines.

Actually I would prefer if he maintained mostly human. Maybe some NANOMACHINES, and that's it. It's highly possible he's still alive since he wasn't cut into pieces and just got a stab in the abdomen. Yes, it could kill a human, but we are talking about Metal Gear here, and Jetstream Sam, the weakest brazilian male.

I think his cyborg arm is a strikingly good example as to how powerful he was previously. The fact that it stands out that much and is so huge that it has to be that ridiculous to replicate or even enhance Sam's strength.

Well, unlike with specifically VT-7 high frequency blades (though it is fair to assume that the rule also applies to any HF blade), cyborg enhancements aren't confirmed to scale off of the original strength of the "product". I don't believe that Sam becoming a cyborg would hurt him, but it wouldn't help (the logic behind it is that since he was part of the winds of destruction, he was given the best cyborg parts for his arm, which thus matches the strength of a top-tier cyborg, which non-cybernetic Sam himself matches).

The strength of the enhancement directly correlates to the efficiency of the original weapon". So, it must have a limit.

Ripper mode Raiden's blade mode has similar effects on missiles, bullets, and even lasers. This further puts into perspective just how effective it is.

You can’t see something faster than the speed of light because the light is reaching you after you react to it. This means that Sam does not have a fast reaction speed, but he can predict every single move his opponent will do before they even do it. Not only that but his nerves have to send signals from his eyes, to his brain, and then to his muscles to move. Everything about this is ridiculous!

I think scaling raiden and sam to nukes isn't an accurate description, nukes are designed to hit q large area while sam and raiden are more precise plus you even stated how hf blades ignore defenses to a degree. similar thing with saying how raiden and sam can react faster then light, raiden can predict an enemys moves by reading their body I would imagine with all his training and experience sam can do the same. even using metal gear excelsior 's attacks as a reference, that was a gameplay segment where the player is supposed to avoid the laser not a scripted event.

When designing Peace Walker Huey would've made them to withstand the upmost of a nuke, you're making more assumptions to say "Oh, he was talking about the outskirts of the mushroom cloud"; he didn't say that did he? The HF's do ignore durability, but that doesn't matter when, like I said and showed in the video, the cyborgs and Metal Gears PHYSICALLY scale to each other and their > nuke lvl durability. Also even if you can predict something, all of these characters are still moving out of the way AFTER the attacks are committed; there's no way to outpace an attack and be slower than it; so no again. You're basically acting like speed feats don't exist, it's a bad argument.
While the EXCELSUS fight is gameplay, it's only supporting evidence compared to the various lore based SoL reaction feats as shown in the video. Even still Ripper Mode's speed and the speed of the laser are intently programmed variables, so there is a preponderance of evidence to say that is the lore accurate difference between lasers and Raiden's peak speed.
@@CRISIS_COMICS I think it does matter a little. The type of damage a nuke does is very different from a sword capable of essentially cutting the bonds between atoms.

@@CRISIS_COMICSWe have real armored fighting vehicles designed to survive and operate in a nuclear war, and that defense consists of NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) protection as well as redundant or EMP resilient systems.
Take for example the RARDEN autocannon used on a number of British Army vehicles. It uses manually inserted 3 round clips instead of being autoloaded and can be fully operated even with an electronically (or fully) disabled vehicle. This is complimented with manual elevation, traverse, sighting, etc. meaning the vehicle retains its firepower even if an EMP from a nuclear warhead fries it's electronic systems.
Note how no real vehicle entertains the idea of actually trying to tank the blast, because that's completely fucking stupid. Nothing in Metal Gear lore suggests that this interpretation is any less stupid in their world than it is in ours. This is Metal Gear, not Star Trek.
As a brazillian i can confirm that in wars we use swords, not guns bombs etc. So yeah i can say we use also no armor
ok there are some things I feel should be pointed out...
mainly with Armstrong since he fought both Raiden and Sam while they were wielding the Murasama.
I think it has been shown Raiden was physically stronger than Sam (at least in his newest body) since Raiden was able to wear down the nano machines with brute force while Sam showed to have considerable trouble damaging Armstrong as shown in the cutscene following the boss, he was able to block the murasama's blows no problem. And I think it was implied Armstrong was holding back during his fight with Sam since while Sam manage to get him on the ground, Armstrong got back up as if nothing happened and his body didn't look that damaged (which at the end of his fight with Raiden you could he was tuckered out and had scares all over his body) and when he did land strikes it was in places where Sam's suit could protect him and even when he stabs Sam, he still does it in the arm instead of the chest or stomach where he is more likely to bleed out.
I'm not saying Sam isn't strong since the mf is still able to cleave through a robot built to survive a nuke no problem, but it's something I feel I should point out
@@mercury2157 You can go all out and try not to kill, look at MMA. Also Raiden didn’t ware down the nano-machines, he attacked Armstrong where his nano’s weren’t activated or attacked weak spots like the part on his back while Armstrong healed.

I think the reason I got that impression was because Raiden couldn't do any damage to Armstrong with his sword but could with the Murasama and I think an argument could be made that he did wear them down since it was shown Armstrong could cover his whole body with the nanos but was unable to cover himself from unarmed strikes by Raiden possibly implying he couldn't because he didn't have enough of them to cover it. Or at the climax of his fight Raiden He threw punches with his fist covered and Raiden was still able to damage his arms. And it could be argued the reason why he didn't cover himself while in the gameplay of the boss is and only when attack was because that would be very hard to animate if they showed up every single time Raiden or Sam landed a hit. But you made good points on the holding back part. And I am not trying to downplay the hell out of Sam, to be honest if you put the winds of destruction in a battle royale he'd most certainly come out on top. It's just something I noticed.

It's said in CODEC calls that like jiu-jitsu (a brazilian version of judo focused on ground game and submissions that was brought by the japanese immigration and then developed in Brazil), Sam's kenjutsu style (Rodrigues New Shadow School) is a mix of different martial arts with the standard Uradachi style, including brazilian martial arts like capoeira and jiu-jitsu, by using of sword butts and kicks.
It's specially apparent the capoeira inspired moves with his kicks and dodges, like the roundhouse 'martelo' kick that is the most powerful/damaging attack in the game, the 'aú' (side) and 'macaco' (back) dodges.
His jiu-jitsu and judo skills are presented when he is without his sword in the fight against Raiden, where he uses a lot of throws.
Jetstream Sam duel against Darth Maul will be interesting to see (Darth Maul agreed to have a fair fight by giving Sam lightsaber and he won't use the force ability when fighting like he did with Pre Viszla), that will be one hell of a macho duel

If it is cannon I believe it’d take several years after metal gear solid 4 as raiden knows of his kid and the patriots are gone tho this also gives enough time for the sam dlc which I believe is 2 years before metal gear rising to happen and a couple extra years for desparado to form

The thing is for his fight with Armstrong the glasses never came off.
Swords like these are what makes them strong hf blades vibrate very fast so with a normal durable sword neither could damage a metal gear.

can you tell me about how sams durability is mountain level again? i was a bit confused and wouldnt that mean that raiden and sam are mountain level in strength + dura?
Peace Walker has 60 Megaton or City level dura, MGD is at a bare minimum twice as durable via the MGs upscaling chronologically and the "many times" statement meaning at least 2 times; so 120 megatons which is Mountain. Again, the 2 times multiplier is a low ball. Since Raiden is made out of the same CNT as Ray and sustains physical strikes from them they should all scale.

I'm not sure if this is a dumb question but how did sam get that strong while being human? if his exoskeleton is like a sneak suit, that doesnt seem like nearly the level of speed and strength that sam has in mgr. meaning he must be stronger than nuclear bombs as a human? which doesnt make sense. not saying he isnt that strong i just want to know how he is that strong
Fictional people can be as strong as the fiction calls for. Batman performs feats that no irl human can ever perform under any circumstance and that’s just the way that it is.

I have some problems with this video, first, the. sword that raiden and sam use to cut metal gears does not nullify the durability of these? Therefore, his ability to cut metal gears is due to the sword? Then, how the hell is a game that, as far as it goes, more or less conforming to my physical laws, is going to have characters that are faster than the speed of light?
Raiden gets physically hit by Ray and tanks it, they’re also both made of CNT so they should scale. Sam hits Raiden with the butt of his sword, slams em, and so on. Also Metal Gear has psychics and dude who can teleport, going faster than light is tame. Verses conform to physics until they’re shown to defy whatever law.

the only reason Raiden won is plot armour and Sam not being at his prime because he was questioning all of it and as you know, its all about ideology and moral in the mgr/mgs universe. And the only reason Armstrong won was because of the angle The Murusama blade cut the arm leaving a stump that was sharp thanks to the Nano Machines senator Steven Armstrong had.

Armstrong's Regeneration was even more Busted. Vamp was never supposed to be an Assault/Vanguard/Front Unit in the First Place. He looked even more like a Corpse in MGSIV which is fitting for an Assasin Type Unit.

Yes it is an improved ray model, however Desperado made quite a few of these so they might've had to step some things back.
For example, replacing some things with plastic, or a cheaper material that would also work. I'm saying this because of the Rocket Launcher consumables in game.

If it’s made out of Raiden’s same CNT then it would have comparable durability, which makes sense seeing as Raiden had to use his max power in his older body to deal with it.

the doc in the description doesn't explain how ripper mode raiden suddenly goes from 15x FTL to 20-40k x FTL, and, without checking, I also wouldn't be surprised if Raiden "passively" went ripper mode vs MG excelsus
Because they also sustain physical strikes from the MG's, and Raiden is made out of the same material so they should be relative. Also check the guidebook pages in conjunction with the calc.

@@raidensolos4111 In the MG verse certain materials have a resistance to the HF blades, but in a cross-verse sense the HF blades would bypass durability based on physics and the description of how blades work.

Very solid video, scaling makes sense and showcasing the strength of our fav double jumping brazillian samurai however, there's a point I do disagree with and that is Armstrong going all out on only Sam but not Raiden
Now, Armstrong's 'SSG-like' aura absense in his fight with Raiden is most likely bcuz, the aura effect and animation was made post-production after the main game was released, since Sam's DLC was released months after Rising, it's highly like that aura was added to give Armstrong a more intimidating presence conicide with his power in the dlc
Notice that, when he glows, its after he does his sumo move, a move that is in both the base game and DLC but only in the DLC he glows, i believe he's meant to have that in the main game too since that sumo move is an indicator, plus theres a few moves he does against Sam that is absent from the game like his telekenisis, which proves more that it is late-production asset thing
My two biggest evidence that Armstrong going all out on Raiden is that, only in fight against Ripper Mode Raiden with Sam's blade was Armstrong's eyes glows red, and as well a paricular quote from Armstrong when Raiden threw him into rubble and he explodes and that is "This is the greatest fight of my life", which is absent from the his first phase with Raiden and Sam, further backing that Armstrong's fight with Raiden surpasses that of his fight with Sam
I believe that the red eyes and his quote ate the biggest indicator Armstrong going all out on Raiden, perhaps pushing himself further in power than with Sam and that would make sense tbh since this Raiden who beat Sam not too long ago, literally cant dent Armstrong later on
Never said he wasn’t going all out against Raiden, I think Sam, Raiden, and Armstrong are all pretty much interchangeable in terms of power. They can each damage each other, sustain flurries from the others with relative ease.
I think Raiden likely performed better once he got the Murasama due to embracing Ripper Mode at that point, as well as consistently targeting Armstrong’s weak-points and or unarmored parts of his body. The Murasama being “better” than Raiden’s sword is minuscule at best, seeing as both blades clash consistently. Sam’s blade doesn’t slice thru Raiden’s or anything.
Raiden embraced his rage thus growing stronger, and fought smart against Armstrong who is likely a little stronger.

Other than that, I agree with much of what ur saying tho, Raiden giving into his Jack the Ripper personality and his use of the effective use of Sam's blade is definitely a determinating factor in his victory over Armstrong
I'm a little confused here.
Sam being able to destroy a Metal Gear Ray doesn't automatically make him stronger than a nuke, just as it doesn't make Big Boss stronger than a nuke either.
They both used weapons to destroy the Rays, and they did it strategically, Big Boss with his guns and Sam with his sword, which can casually slice through matter on a fundamental level.
So yeah I just wanted to point that out.
Also no way in hell his reflexes are faster than the speed of light without enhancements, that's just ridiculous!

3:58 I'm sorry but taking it being designed to survive a nuclear war to mean it's supposed to tank a direct strike instead of "oh this thing has NBC protection" (just like real AFVs designed for nuclear war) is an INSANE reach.
EVEN THEN, none of of those bombs were meant to be practical combat weapons. The Tsar Bomba was meant as a propaganda win, requiring major modifications to the Tu-95 to actually drop, and Ivy Mike weighed 74 metric tons. If we we assumed it was to tank a nuke, it would likely be first strike missile-borne systems.

Start of Rising Raiden is 180 megatons, the cyborg bodies/exoskeletons are stated to increase power by several times, bare minimum 3 time multiplier.
180 megatons x 3 = 540 megatons for Raiden's new body
Ripper Mode is a 10x increase to Raiden's strength.
540 megatons x 10 = 5,400 gigatons or a little above baseline island level.
But the singular problem with this scaling is that Ripper Mode only enhances Raiden's strength and not his durability.
I don’t think it’s about how hard they hit, Raiden almost wasn’t able to toss MG Ray and Sam most likely didn’t either because he simply couldn’t so that should tell us some of their physical strength. Where they truly shine is in their swords being able to ignore armour which causes them to be able to cut virtually anything. The destruction power of nukes is raw power being spread everywhere while the HFBs use energy to enhance said blades by manipulating said energy in a way that can ignore the resistance of any object rather than using a ton of raw energy on each strike.
Raiden tanks physical strikes from the Rays and is made out of the same CNT as the upgraded Ray in Rising, the same Ray that scales to the >>>> nuke lvl REX. Also lifting strength ≠ striking/dura…
But it's a Universe where Advanced Nanomachines Exist. If there was ever a Sequel i'm sure they would be a lot more Busted than High Frequency Blades for many reasons. The Applications are Limitless. They just had to make them OP here for the Plot to work even if it doesn't really make sense that Dystopian Technological Corpos wouldn't have HF Blade Counters in this Universe.

armstrong was not going "all out" on sam, he had only the energy from helicopters and land vehicles to fuel his nanomachines, in the fight with raiden he has the energy from metal gear excelsus, which (probably) provides significantly more power to the nanomachines

the force required to keep 9000 tons standing (lower estimate) is 88290 newtons
the force required to keep 520 tons standing (or floating i guess) is 5101.2 newtons
armstrong was much stronger in raidens battle, raiden only managed to win using environmental advantages and cybernetic enhancements, if raiden had no enhancements jetstream sam would be stronger than him, but raiden has enhancements

With Raiden, it’s made very clear that Armstrong is giving it his all to kill Raiden. Lines like “fuck this war, I just want you dead” and “This is the greatest fight of my life” make it very obvious that he was going all out.
With Sam, he has to give it his all just to “defeat” Armstrong with that quick time event. With the cutscene that follows, Sam is clearly exhausted. Just pay attention to his heavy breathing after each sentence and his body language in general. Yet Armstrong gets up from that attack like it was nothing and casually tries recruiting Sam. And when they do get back to fighting, Armstrong was dominating the fight, all with a smile on his face. It couldn’t be more clear that Armstrong’s toying with Sam. And once he beats Sam, all he had to say was simply “Not bad, son.” Not nearly as enthusiastic as when he fought Raiden.

Actually, I'm not so sure. You see, giving him cyborg enhancements would replace his muscles, not upgrade them. Considering the fact that Sam is already as strong as top-tier cyborgs like Raiden, then cyborg enhancements don't actually do much, even though they're likely not a downgrade.
Don’t both Raiden and Sam have High Frequency Blades? That could be similar or the same as a vibroblade which cuts through things by vibrating. But I don’t know much so don’t quote me on this, thank you for your time.

I mean, it IS guaranteed for your blade to travel all the way through whatever object you're able to interact with by attacking. Even materials such as steel or rock show no resistance to your attacks, cyborgs and UGs are made of CNT while military vehicles are stated to be bomb-proofed with it. So, perhaps you're right.

I've seen plenty of people in the comment section assuming that a fully cybernetic Sam would be invincible, so here is a counter-argument for you :
Unlike with specifically VT-7 high frequency blades (though it is fair to assume that the rule also applies to any HF blade), cyborg enhancements aren't confirmed to scale off of the original strength of the "product". I don't believe that Sam becoming a cyborg would hurt him, but it wouldn't help (the logic behind it is that since he was part of the winds of destruction, he was given the best cyborg parts for his arm, which thus matches the strength of a top-tier cyborg, which non-cybernetic Sam himself matches).
Did Sam even take raidens rematch seriously? For a fight that's on life & death he had too much fun
But even if those robots can withstand a nuklear explosion thats an explosion which would hit their entiere surface area unlike a sword that would cut a very smal part of their surface so they are weaker than a large nuklear explosion.

@@Jsipki265 They claimed that Sam and Raidens attack power were esentialy mountain level because they could cut trugh metal gears that had armor that were superior to metal gears that could survive a nuklear war but there is a big difrence betwen being inside the blast radius of a nuke and therefor having the half of your body being exposed to a portion of the total energy released not all because then the bomb would have to be inside you and it would be spread out across half your body unlike if you were being cut by a sword thats being accelerated by something thats exerting a force equal to all of the energy thats released when a nuke explode.
When something is said to be designed to withstand nuclear war, it doesn’t mean it can take a nuke to the face, it means it can withstand the shockwave, radiation and heat received from the blast from a reasonable distance. It also usually entails that it is shielded from emp, as nukes generate electromagnetic pulses when detonated.

@@mr.tweaty It is explicitly stated in a codec call with Boris during file R-01 in Rising upon picking up a grenade that these are an improved model designed for combat against cyborgs and UGs, being more pricey than your standard grenade. They also can't be thrown far distances by non-cyborgs, as they're extremely heavy. As for the possibility of an object the size of a grenade containing that much power, fiction follows it's own rules. It's not expected to be applicable in real life. It's also stated in a codec call with Doktor during chapter 5 that they would notice EMP countermeasures in cyborgs, with Monsoon already having shown full resistance to EM grenades 2 chapters prior.

Okay, hear me out.
Sam had the speed to cut through Armstrong's arm before the nanomachines could harden.
Raiden had the ability to outright damage Armstring through the nanomachines (at the end of their fight)
Sam's playstyle also seems to reflect this, opting for him to dodge attacks rather than parry (avoiding damage instead of meeting it head on) his dash is faster than Raiden's and he can double jump/air dash, implying better mobility. On top of this, his guard can be broken in their fight. Raiden's guard can never be broken. (Unblockable attacks exist, yes, but I attribute those to getting around Raiden's guard.) Sam tossing Raiden around can be considered his speed and skill being able to redirect his momentum.
Which is counter to Raiden's sheer force (the guy can literally create a shockwave that sends Sam flying) and far more aggressive playstyle.
Of course, this isn't to say Sam isnt strong, or that Raiden isnt fast. They just have different styles of fighting. I believe their fight was fairly even, although Raiden won in the end.
EDIT: I dont feel like Sam was holding back in their last duel, he was clearly enjoying himself, and he doesnt seem like the kind of guy to hold back.
