- In the jungle of Cambodia, you must see the ancient empire city of Angkor Thom built by King Jayavarman VII - a top travel sight in Angkor Archeological Park by Siem Reap, Cambodia. We explore the large Bayon Temple with giant Buddha faces, the large Baphuon temple, and see the Phimeanakas temple and Terrace of the Elephants. A top travel destination in Cambodia. Angkor Thom is said to have had the world’s largest pre-industrial urban center. The HD video was taken in pre-COVID days - in Dec 2012. Memories! The Bayon temple was definitely our favorite! It still has so many many-faced steeples. It's hard to imagine that it had even more back in the day! Loved the South Gate as well. So intricately beautiful!
