Romantic Cavtat | Croatia’s Hidden Gem Near Dubrovnik, in 4K
The beautiful village of Cavtat is a hidden gem on the Adriatic Coast, offers Dubrovnik tourists a tranquil escape with natural beauty and Mediterranean charm. Named #1 honeymoon location by European Best Destinations for 2024, Cavtat is surrounded by lush hillsides, crystal-clear waters, and pebbled beaches, with wonderful restaurants and cafes. From June into September, it comes alive with festivals featuring street performances, dance shows and concerts. And when Dubrovnik’s accommodations are busy during high season, frequent connections into Cavtat can make it a relaxing alternative place to stay, with daytrips into Dubrovnik. I plan to book a stay in the cheapest lowest quality hotel on this island, and spend night exploring these enchanted streets while they are empty!! Can anyone share any information on how many hotels are on the island itself, and what a standard nightly cost would be?
Hi there! From what I see with hotel searches, there are no budget hotels on the island, and prices in October would be around 175 to 245 Euros a night, and more expensive during high season. However, you can also enjoy the island at night without staying at an island hotel - the shuttle buses run until quite late from the mainland village - where they are lower priced (such as 80 Euros/night in October for Hotel Gabriel), also more during higher season. Just be sure not to miss the last bus from the island, and give yourself ample time to walk to the bus stop on the bridge 😀. Thanks for watching, and have a great day 👍
@@HaswellTravelled Thanks! Well I suppose my next question is what would happen if I miss the last shuttle bus? Would I be allowed to wonder the island till dawn without having to worry? You see my main objective is to stay outside and embrace the ghost town through out the night. Hence the hotel incase I simply get too sleepy!
Hi there! Honestly, I don't know the answer to your question. I would guess you are stuck on the island until next shuttle in the morning, but I'm not the expert on this. If you do go, be sure to have a flashlight as some walking paths & stairsways are very dark at night - and carry extra batteries if you think you could be out there for many hours. Hi there! Yes, most of Nuremberg old town was rebuilt. But Tanners lane is original which escaped allied bombing (shown near the end of the video). I do appreciate the degree they tried to rebulid to their original.
