From what I am observing after watching Dr. Pal's videos is bengali diet is actually very good. In normal middle class bengali house hold meat is very much limited to maybe once or twice a week, atleast 2 days vegetarian and and other days alternating between fish and egg according to choice. Red meat is a occasional thing once in 3 or four months.

From what I understood and practiced, eating a complete balanced diet is the way to go. It all comes down to the calories you consumed versus the calories you burned in a day which keeps your health in check. A person should be able to hit proper macro goals according to their level of activity everyday (carb, protein and fat). If you get proper excercise 5-6 days a week, then I don't see why people have to worry too much about eating things they like. Its all about calories in vs calories out. If eating protein sources with high fat ratio is risky on a daily basis (like red meat and eggs), I would certainly be in trouble, as I eat around 10 whole eggs a day and 250gms of either red meat/chicken a day as well, but my blood tests tell a whole different story. Just make sure you are getting proper workout and eating a balanced diet. Its as simple as that.

Follow this advice and you'll look just as under nourished as this doctor.
Protien is more important than Carbs and with eating meat just 2 times a week,
The majority will not get the required amount of protein, unless your diet includes a large variety of plant protien, which most Indians don't.
And by the time you consume this much large variety, your calorie intake would become too much.

Thanks for the video Dr. You left out beef and pork; I see that there is a significant uptick in people consuming beef and pork in India. Seems like the popularity of beef biriyani will soon push chicken biriyani out. Maybe dedicate another video on the carcinogenic effect of red meat will be helpful

I am a carnivore, eat only red fatty meat (beef & mutton) added with eggs & salt two times a day for the last three years. I do not eat any kind of carbs, sugar, vegetable or fruit. I lost weight, my sinus is gone, improved mental clarity and focus, snoring and sleep apnea stopped, sleep quality impoved, good cholesterol gone up, never had any kind of sickness, testosterone level gone up, strengthen my muscles, my hair got thicken and most importantly a big change in the energy level and focus.
Dr, we just need meat to survive as we get all the nutrients from it.

Nope. You're delusional. All that you're experiencing is a placebo effect, and it could show adverse effects in the long run. Red meat is a proven carcinogen, and there's tons of peer-reviewed scientific evidence on this.

Dr Pal, is it safe to consume the chicken we get from poultry, as we read that harmones and antibiotics are injected in these chickens & they are fed on some inorganic harmful products to achieve higher quantities for sale. The eggs also come from the same industry.
Is it safe to consume these?
Not all of us can breed chicken in their backyard, so should we totally shun non veg?

Omg, I am shocked to know about that red meat relation, am writing this comment just to share incident with my friend, her close relative, a old lady in 45s got cancer, she hardly had any modern lifestyle, doctor asked her to test colonoscopy an all, we all were frightened an shocked how come she got cancer, it happened almost 6 7 months ago, now she is recovered from the cancer, will be fine soon but as today I suddenly came across this post I clicked the possible cause of the cancer, that lady an her family is famous in colony for consumption of meat, they used to cook meat most of the times during week, I can conclude that red meat was the only reason for her problem, as we can not see any other habbit of her or her family (as already they are not so rich or not even middle class), So I think we all should avoid such unhealthy meat an food stuffs.

Considering the feeding & harmones injections given to poultry, how safe is chicken. Lamb and goat mostly feed on natural feeds in open, is this not more nutrition and less likely to contain harmful hormones and injection chemicals? I may be wrong, appreciate your response.

Where are all the sources for this doctor? Instead of cutting out or restricting your diet strictly, youre better off changing your lifestyle by excercising more, sleep, stress management and practicing moderation in diet.
The science and studies relating to red meat is dubious and not very strong. The two times a week non vegetarian is not backed by scienticic research
