Unreal! Thanks to this video I just saved at least $600 min. This couldn't have gone any easier. The only thing I would recommend to people is not to attempt to take the plugs out until the engine is at ambient temp. Thank you for this video sir!!!
I looked at about 5-6 videos before settling on this one. It was great, good lighting, very accurate, no moronic music, the explanation was clear and to the point, and we didn't take the unnecessary scenic route. Other videos require you to take too much finnicky stuff off. I found that my "hidden screw" at the back was a 12mm (not 13). I only realized this when I had difficulty putting it back in. I got two quotes before tackling it. You save me about $360 at the local garage and about $450 at the dealership ($160 per hour). If you were closer I would buy you a beer, or two or three. Liked the N.Y. directness, refreshing!

Simplicity wins by a landslide. Concise, effective, and not a waste of my time. You are a damned lifesaver, sir. I watched what felt like 30 other videos, ended up in my garage, STILL, 4 hours later with only the front three changed. Wish I had just watched this one the first time. I'll be done in 30 mins now. Another guy had me taking off WAY too many parts. Many thanks!
Just bought a 2013 Murano and this video was my first and ONLY reference I need to get to the back bank of plugs. Not only informative and clear, it was entertaining. I had to rewind and rewatch one segment about 6 times. Regarding one of the vacuum hoses on the firewall. He sez "don't forget to reattach this hose or it'll run like CRAP. I dunno, the bluntness, the un-sugar coating, the ACCENT. Makes me wish I was working on cars with him in the neighborhood. Loved it. And, THANKS. I'll have the plugs swapped out by Tuesday.
Man, what a great video. I inherited my Pops 2012 Murano a few years ago, and it's time to change plugs now that it's at 98k miles. Thank brother. God bless
This is by far the best easiest technical video I have viewed hands down. Great job I fully endorse this disassembly application. Now show the viewers how to replace the power steering unit. I highly recommend replacement of the coils, old coils on new plugs are nbot a good idea because the coils build resistance, and the back ones your not going to want to do this all over again if one goes in back a day later.
I agree with the new coil changes in the rear..cause you know you're not going to change out the plugs for another 75 to 100,000 miles later..and Thank you for the Compliment and Thanks for Watching..

Fantastic video. Saved me more than $500. I got all the peripherals off, and realized that you had the main bolts removed before the video starts - and never mentioned them 🙁. So now off to find a video about that.
Nice job and excellent video! Do you happen to know the torque setting for the intake plenum nuts and bolts? The ones that hold the plenum to the top of the engine. Thanks!!!
Great job; you didnt show or explain how many bolts come off that hold the manifold down; I can tell they were already off when you recorded the video; is it just the ones you see on the front side of the manifold?
Yes, I forgot to mention the 4 bolts in the center of the intake manifold and the 2 nuts ,1 on each end of the intake that explains the 2 studs sticking up on the ends. Doing it for the 1st time and recording it is definitely not a simple task with no editing...Thanks for the compliments and thanks for watching too, good luck on yours and take your time..at least you won't have a camera in your hand..😆
Double check your vacuum hoses, they might be sucking in air..did you clean the throttle plate while you were there...check also the intake hose for cracks and clamps are tight..its clearly something you removed because I'm assuming you didn't have that code before.
Two days later after my plug change, air filter and tbody cleanout, the idle speed is way high ~1400 RPM more than likely from too much airflow after cleaning out all the gunk in the tbody and intake manifold...it's throwing a P0507 service engine soon light. Need to do the idle relearn procedure and get an OBD2 scanner to reset the yellow light!
You can, you just need to remove the 2 rubber hoses and the connector for the throttle plate but remember there is a bracket on the bottom Allen bolt, so you might need to disconnect everything that is attached to that..good luck, I'm sure it can be done, these things happen when working on cars..

Sounds like you left something off or didn't connect something back..look over everything you moved or unclamped out of the way..you replaced the plenum gasket right?..reconnected all the hoses?
Go back and see what you left off..sounds like a wire or connection you took off..start from the beginning in your head in the order you removed things
@@alyoungcuda yes that 13mm in the back...i found that NOT that hard to remove and install - the trick I used was using both my hands - one hand to hold the bolt in place and the other hand with a 13mm short ratchet. The problem I had was the removing the vertical hose to the side - the clamp had the prongs faced the other way. It was easier for me to reinstall the manifold AFTER connecting this hose. THANKS so much for your DIY video! I saw a handful of these videos on youtube before waiting 140,549 original miles on my 2009 Murano (don't judge haha) to change the plugs and coil packs...and I found your video the best! There was so much gunk built up on the inside of the throttle body, plenum and inlets. After I changed the plugs and cleaned out the gunk as much as possible - my SUV runs much smoother! The only extra part I had to buy was a new 7/64" vacuum hose for the front which was badly dry rotted.
My friend, I hear a hissing sound like a vacuum leak after I changed the spark plugs. I changed also the gasket and it looks sitting perfectly, but still has that hissing sound. Please help/advise.

Go back and see what you left off..sounds like a wire or connection you took off..start from the beginning in your head in the order you removed things
Does this works for Pathfinder 2013 too?
If its the same engine yes..sometimes there might be something else in the way of brackets and stuff but the basics is the same.
Would this be the same for a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder platinum??
Same engine then yes
@@alyoungcuda thank you
8:06 how many 10mm nuts/bolts to remove in order to remove the intake manifold assembly? Just the four bolts and two nuts?
Yes and that pain in the butt one in the rear.
Yes and that pain in the butt one in the rear.
@@jonbe9 awesome..and at over 4.00 a gallon for gasoline, a tune up helps..glad it worked out for you..Tanks for the Compliments...
Thank you ..owe you a cold beer!!!!
Awesome..thanks for watching too...
My friend, I hear a hissing sound like a vacuum leak after I changed the spark plugs. I changed also the gasket and it looks sitting perfectly, but still has that hissing sound. Please help/advise.
Double check your work, especially the hoses
@@alyoungcuda I checked everything, all hoses in place. I noticed the rpm is a little higher than before I changed plugs.
@@laytheshuwaili2455 thats a sign its sucking in air..go buy a can of carburetor cleaner and shoot some around the areas with the straw and see when the engine revs up, it will rev up because of the extra fuel...that is where the leak is
@@alyoungcuda the hissing sounds comes from the area where the manifold gasket is. I have put in a new one, I also opened the manifold again, and saw the gasket is in its place. I will buy the cleaner and spray. I will let you know. Thanks sir so much. Your video is excellent.
@@alyoungcuda hey man, the car rev up after I sprayed around the gasket/manifold. I replaced the gasket again but the same thing. Still has the hissing sound. Not sure what else could be .
Thank you so much great video, you explain very well.

should this work for a 2012 murano
If its the same size engine, then yes
thank you so Much! I think the person working my murano put the wrong size spark plugs in, am checking them on Amazon and they say it's not a fit. Your video literally saved me from this mechanic messing with the engine. Your video has truly saved me from a major headache 🙂
@@LoveTrinity03 if you have the spark plug number that the guy put in, you can check on autozone.com under your car and engine to see if its one of the many ones they sell to see if its correct
Man you are a hero.. just checked and yes they are a match and they are good quality spark plugs 🙂 I would be absolutely lost if I didn't come across this video, thank God for TH-cam and helpful videos like Yours! 🙏😊

The 13mm hidden "Harness bolt from hell" on the back of the manifold would not tighten. I believe that it had been removed before and stripped. Anyone else had this problem?
As long as the bolt is in there, I wouldn't worry about it, it should be stable..if you want to, you can wire tie it to something nearby.
Well done! Thank you

You neglected the manifold bolts, I had to go to another video for that. Otherwise it was a great video.
Darn it
Very nice. Thanks for the info, I need to do mine. Best wishes & Blessings. Keith Noneya
Its not complicated..it just looks it..but do remember everything you removed so you put it back on
@@alyoungcuda Thanks AL, I do a YT channel too and I post all my vehicle maintenance videos as well. Only I have a habit of rambling on about any tips etc. So this video would probably be about an hour long on my channel. I do torque specs, shots of the factory or services manuals, chemicals used, list of tools, part numbers, cost etc, etc. The average back yard mechanic like myself love video's that get to the point, like yours. I gear mine towards the novice who knows little to nothing about vehicle maintenance and tool use. That's one of the reasons why they take so long. Yours just popped up in the search while doing research to do the job and I liked it. So I thought it right to give you a thumbs up and a good comment. I have a few in edit mode right now, CV axles, Front Rotors and Brake Pads, Front Wheel Hub Bearings etc. Again fine job. Best Wishes & Blessings on your channel. Keith Noneya
