I left a 30 year narcissist husband and lost everything, he immediately convinced everyone he was the victim, poisoned our adult children against me but I couldn't take the abuse and manipulation any longer. He further alienated me from my family and they abandoned me. I lost everything and I struggle every day but I have no contact with him unless necessary. I took my power back and I will.never give away again. And you are right, no one will ever understand what I have been through unless they have gone through it themselves, recovery is very hard, I have been separated for 4 years and still feel I will never fully recovery.

I have M.S too. I've had a stressful childhood, . My father was a man child that hated his mother. The household was dysfunctional, a lot disrespect ,mental abuse and some physical . Thinking it's normal because my mom put up with it.I started dating guys that acted like my father, crazy....that's what I saw and that's what I dated kind of just realized it after my grandmother passed 3 years ago. SMH..
.it's been a few weeks and, I just got out of a 9 years situationship and it's hard.
      He wasn't a good guy.
I started crying 😥 while watching this video then I started read your post and I cried harder 😫 .. .Then I heard my favorite Aunt that passed away a year ago say Tiffy it's okay.. I know I'm going to be okay..
      ... I'm in my pink phase already..💓

      @tgriffin8379 IT IS OKAY! 👍🏽
You HAVE to LOVE YORSELF ❤️ First!! What you are looking for in the Narcissists is actually YOURSELF!!
You want their love, but they don't have it, BUT, YOU DO!!
Give all the LOVE you want to give to others-LOVE ON YOURSELF!!
They couldn't do it right anyway. Life will get so much better once you focus on yourself and YOU MEET YOUR NEEDS! You can do it, give yourself permission.
You have a lot of love in you, but share it with yourself, you need it most AND you can't give away what you don't have.
It took me 45 yrs to figure this out. You were innocent, but as an adult , you are now responsible.
During and after healing, you'll receive the peace beyond all understanding and QUIET. Who knew that's all I just really wanted!?!
      ❤️Be Well!

When I found out why I was allowing the things that happened to happen it was like a light bulb going off. It’s actually freeing to take ownership because finally you’re in control of you. When I realised I was people pleasing and it was rolling over into everything I was doing, it all come together as to why I was attracting and allowing people to disrespect me. It’s taken years to undo all the conditioning and I’m almost there. I’m seeing life very differently these days.

He accused me of badmouthing him but I was warning the community about him and telling the truth. Some believed him because he twisted the story. My support network turned on me and treated me like I was the monster. They weren’t friends

I completely empathise with you and totally understand your motivations.
I’m gonna ask you a question I asked myself…. Why is it your job to warn or protect the community and what has this community done in reciprocal action?

I lost my network as well, because of my reactive abuse fall out. No one understood the depth, and I had major health problems. No they were not friends! I think most of us go through this alone. And I’m sorry that you had a slew of others to deal with too! Horrible.

I went through the same thing with my mother. They are professionals at hiding who they really are with success, religion, hard work, good deeds, attire, material things. In the eyes of society if you have these things you must be a good person. The religious ones equate success with God's blessing and who can question Gods favor? You may not have these things so you are not favored by God and you deserve what was done to you.Its evil and you are better off without them.

Very very well said. You beautifully articulated a very complicated process. Because narcissism is an addiction, I believe that we are always in a state of recovery. We need to be hyper vigilant.

Thanks Vital, I've never experienced narcissism in a relationship as I'm quite assertive in my personal relationships. I've mainly experienced narcissism in the workplace and every time the narcissist has been a female. I've found this difficult to confront, firstly you can't lose your temper in the workplace. Secondly, you have to be careful when dealing with women in the workplace, as accusations of harassment and intimidation are used as excuses for their behaviour. Could you do a video on how to counteract narcissistic behaviour in the workplace? Thank you 👍🏻🤗

I resonate with every thing you said. I have attracted a lot of narcissistic and toxic partners. I love hard so separations where always very painful for me. I've seen where my toxic partner was invisible to many when it came to her abusive personality.
