  • Empaths are often misunderstood and viewed as pretentious and judgmental. Any person who is afraid that you can see though them will belittle and undermine your gift.
    Own your gift, because each human has their own unique gift. We should not hide or be ashamed or our personal gift. Instead, we can use it to help others.

    INTRIGUING TIDBIT: Narcissism is on the same, but extreme opposite, spectrum that Empathy is on.. which is why Empaths (or HSP=highly sensitive persons) seem to naturally be a magnet for attracting Narcissists into their lives.. I discovered this a few years ago, because as an Empath, I couldn't figure out why I've always attracted so many Narcissists to me throughout my life, but after doing some indepth research for a few years, I found out that they're drawn to us because, subconsciously, they know they need to work on their deep psychological issues, but their egos refuse to allow them to do that.. Empaths natrually, and usually without even realizing it, trigger Narcissists to HAVE to look at themselves and see where they're lacking in their morals.. which is why Narcissists despise Empaths for seemingly no apparent or valid reasons that they can articulate, and why they will try to attack them without provocation.. basically, Empaths have the innate ability to breakdown a Narcissists barriers in ways others don't, in order to subconsciously push them into healing their suppressed psychological damage.. it's truly quite profound and intriguing when you really contemplate it.. so for those of you who seem to have a knack for attracting Narcissists into your life, you might wanna explore and educate yourself on how to better deal with the Narcissists in your life more effectively.. When I was younger I was very empathetic and a people pleaser. It's true people think you're pretentious or a 'do-gooder'. Also, you become a magnet for , histrionics, narcissists, sociopathic individuals. Female empaths are more accepted as it's considered a typical female trait, but not male empaths, it's considered effeminate and weak and you're looked on as a pushover! Now older and I can see that I was also a people pleaser which helped toxic and manipulative people who were supposedly "close family" to take benefits. I can add that because empaths tend NOT to share with folks whom we sense are struggling or even just ill-at-ease, then folks literally KNOW less about our inner worlds than we know about theirs. This will make an insecure person very uncomfortable.

  • @Akenya
    @Akenya 14 วันที่ผ่านมา +30

    Interesting video. I agree with a lot of this, but there's a nuance here I'd like to add.
    Regarding my empathy, it's so high that most of the time I'm not feeling my own feelings. I'm feeling everything and everyone around me. So a lot of the time I'm feeling someone else's energy and then end up lashing out because I've internalized too much of it, especially when it's bad energy. Or I'll subconsciously try to change the energy by transmuting it inside of me, and then of course I feel exhausted and terrible. I also often won't say how I'm feeling or what I'm picking up on, because I want to keep the peace in the environment, which can then lead to me inadvertently lying to myself AND them about my true emotions.
    I've had to realize that much of this is not my responsibility. Not only that, but it's kinda...not fair. Like...I'm doing all of that instead of just having clear boundaries and saying "Hey you're too anxious and it's making it hard to work," or "Hey this thing you're saying/doing is making me feel _ kind of way" or whatever the case may be. Also, it keeps me hyper focused on my external environment and other people which can lead to avoiding self-accountability/proper self-care. I think this is why we're attracted to narcissists -- they do well what we don't. And the vice versa is the main spiritual reason of why they're drawn to us.
    Learning when and when not to use this incredible gift is necessary for maintaining healthy sense of self and healthy relationships. Honoring both my own boundaries and other people's boundaries is important; Knowing when to help someone vs. when to keep whatever I'm feeling/noticing to my damn self and just let them be. There's a fine line between actually being helpful vs. acting as a savior which inadvertently can infer superiority and judgment. It's been a fascinating journey and now at the age of 31 I think I'm learning how to balance this thing by not self abandoning, being clear about where I begin and other people end, and how to kind of be more accepting on a subconscious level by not taking someone else's issues on as my own when they didn't ask me to.

As an adult I've given a lot of myself to others and have felt repeatedly let down. I permanently feel shame, like i'm inherently lacking somehow. I don't know if I'm am an empath or not, but I do feel i'm overly sensitive to other people and how they are around me, or more specifically, the effect their mood has on me. I'm highly tuned in to changes in them towards me, usually in a subtle or negative way. Sometimes I question if i'm being paranoid, but often something happens after the feeling that proves to me that my instinct was right. I believe that's because I have taken the time to REALLY get to know myself deep down, which helped me to learn to dismiss what others say about me because I knew it wasn't TRUE.. I realized that they were almost ALWAYS projecting their OWN insecurities and egos onto me whenever they were judging me.. it's a complex dichotomy that requires immense determination to strive to understand and liberate yourself from allowing others to dictate your mindset, attitude and life.. I guess field in which you say empaths excel is less quantifiable than law or carpentry or whatever, and is also extremely tender for most people. Maybe that's why people feel judged when they are told they're lesser, worse or deficient. There's a difference between judgement and discernment.

You don't know why you're different you just are and other people aren't going to let you forget it. I believe the perceived arrogance is rooted in the fact that if you're kind to people long enough, eventually you'll be resented for it. Unfortunately these lessons don't come early in life.

    We trigger those who haven’t done the work on themselves. To those individuals, yes, we can appear to be arrogant and judgmental. To me, we are like human mirrors 🪞 who simply show them who they really are… and most times that does not sit well with them at all.

    An empath is another word for covert narcissist or borderline. In most instances, likely neurodivergent. Even using the word highlights that. It's in many aspects a trauma response. ALL souls using the human body have these abilities. There is nothing special about us as individuals. To even ask the question of whether you're arrogant means you know you are. Trust, I was there before my awakening.
    The challenge is you as a sage have achieved a level of awareness and ascension, but the people who follow you have not. They remain unconscious to their maladaptive ways and will only find through their own ego death that they still have much work to do in processing trauma. Their hypersensitivity is their stumbling block until they understand how it was developed. We are our own healers.

    The empath superpower isn't or cannot be measured in material success terms but can only be valued in metaphysical ways like shining light into the darkness within others. This becomes draining to the empath when the person you attempt to shine light on only uses that light to keep their darkness going.

    I am a super dark empath,
    I project an aura of quiet superiority, and help others by showing them true fear (themselves), and give them the tools to destroy their fear (themselves), ending up being a villain in their narratives sometimes

  • @claudiamanta1943
    @claudiamanta1943 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    Being emotionally perceptive (‘an empath’) is likely a combination of many things. What one does with it is a separate matter. Being sensitive doesn’t necessarily mean that one acts morally or even appropriately. The difference between this individual set and the norm can be so great that it can be a very unpleasant experience. I, for one, am so tired that I have decided to give up on it. I just want to be left alone. Yes, I am a quitter, but it’s my life and I resent people telling me what is best for me. As they don’t like me patronising them, so I don’t like to be told what to do with my life. It is extremely annoying, infuriating, and depressing. Essentially, I’m not a rude person, but I must tell them to fuck off. Back off! It is my life. Just fuck off, everybody. Fuck off, please.

    No fam they are nether arrogant nor judgmental but they are hilariously funny and somewhat brutally honest… they say how they feel and ask for what they want… straight up and direct cos passive aggression plays no part in their character or personality.. and yes..,this can often be misunderstood as judgmental and or arrogance but I assure you this is a wholly wrong observation… Empaths work for the betterment of society / the World and they do so by helping others discover the core value of themselves… they are here to teach love and compassion and it’s totally and truly a selfless mission they take on because they believe in humanity and their biggest and only wish is to make this world that we all share a more harmoniously peaceful one for all sentient beings… Empaths each have their own unique way on achieving this thankless task… they do this light work because that’s what they were programmed to do and they are all super awesome on how they go about enforcing change for the most part… yes.. some are a tad unconventional but as long as they achieve their objective then where’s the harm… they’re about all things ‘love’ related and I would certainly thank them all for being so kind.. humble… thoughtful and graceful… yep.. they’re all those things and more besides.. and that’s a fact !!

    I have been wondering if I have the tendency towards narcissistic behavior.
    I deal with a narcissist martyr and I have been observing myself.
    I definitely am not a narcissist, however people who suffered childhood trauma can have some tendencies that appear that way.
    So im being very careful and aware of what I say and do.
