I think Blackbeard is Rocks' son and that Rocks is from a special bloodline that knows about and is able to take in many devil fruits. I mean he had many powerful pirates like Whitebeard, Shiki, Big Mom, Kaidou, etc in his crew. And I think what made him the powerhouse to have these people under his jolly roger and have Roger and Garp team up and struggle against him is not only strong haki but also the control over various devil fruit powers.

I’ve talked about the Orochi/BB comparison theory a few times so some other things I thought of were one, the way Blackbeard crying/amgry looking up at the moon parallels Orochi crying and angry at the Kozuki and other daimyo families all having moon in their name, Kozuki SPECIFICALLY being the crescent moon, like young Blackbeard. Orochi was given the plan to overtake the emperor by Higurashi, Blackbeard was given the plan to overtake an emperor by I believe Shiki, because Higurashi specifically turns into him with Orochi.

I personally love the idea of a Hito hito no mi model xebec. I mean just imagine rocks creating a devil fruit with his soul inside him. And then somebody awakens it, but cant controll it. Rocks would be kinda immortal. Maybe black beard has this zoan fruit. And maybe its the same with imu. Maybe imu, nika and xebec are all devils with their own goals in the real life and they use the devil fruits to access the real world (like the devils in black clover with the grimoires). I like that idea like them being devils and using the fruits access the real world (long ass novel theory coming up lol) makes me wonder if that the ancient kingdom was somehow able to summon them (much like how the gorosie appear) or even trap them and then permanently have them converted/transformed into the devil fruits we know today, then one day imu was summoned a powerful devil strong enough to rival even that of the Sun God Nika and instead of being turned into a fruit was able to escape into the world and in time corrupted the leaders of the 20 kingdoms and made an assault against the ancient kingdom to destroy it and take its power to summon devils for himself...after a long battle and seeing the evil of the devil they had brought upon the world in their final moment the inhabitants of the ancient kingdom transformed Nika into a devil fruit in hopes that his powers of jot and liberation would one day be able to defeat the devil that is imu. One of the most interesting things I think you overlooked is, when BB first encounters BB, upon being asked his name he responds with simply “ Teach”, a bit like Law his his name to the Doffy Pirates. Remember, usually people speak last name first, like Roronoa Zoro. But BB omits this entirely suggesting 1) he believes his true name would warrant suspicion 2) shame 3) disavowing the connection

Him having three souls most likely has to do with his special lineage, probably something new Oda will introduce. The reason he can wield multiple devil fruits must be connected to his yami yami no mi since he was adamant about it being the fruit he needed to acquire his dream. It possibly has the power to draw/trap the devil's power/soul from a user who has just passed and force it to occupy the most nearby fruit which he then eats to gain a new devil power.
Given what you said about Xebec knowing the summoning circles I believe that Oda has recycled the original idea he had for Moriah and made Xebec a pastor with a split personality.
My theory: rocks is FROM no sleep island, and so, this tribe told legends about this big bad pirate they looked up to. Maybe instead of rocks finding teach, teach already knew about rocks! To add to this, I believe what makes buccaneers special is that they can harness the energy of two devil fruits, which is how vegapunk cloned the fruits in the seraphim! So to sum it all up, teach is a no sleep race/ buccaneer hybrid who inherited the will of xebec through stories among his peoples, then went on a quest to continue what he believed rock’s goal was, to conquer the world (as in, the legends aren’t 100% true and it’s a misinterpretation of rock’s will which is a good parallel to luffy unintentionally fulfilling joyboy’s will, one knowing what to do but misinformed, the other not knowing what to do but knowing how to do it) His third df I believe might be , simply, the myths behind the Ursa Major . You can only see constellations at night, when you sleep so it makes sense the true power of this fruit only awakens once the user is asleep!
New theory, hear me out. Zoans ALL used to be physical beings, not devil fruit weilders, but creatures bordering in deities, probably immortal, and once upon a time believed to be invincible, when vegapubk says that devil fruit were dreamed into existence, what he means is that someone realised that these beings, were not actually unkillable, they could be beaten, and their power would be trapped in a fruit and bestowed upon the one who ate of it. Housing two deities inside your body isn't ordinarily possible because the two deities would literally fight inside the person. The gorosensei are simply the last remaining creature deities alive, thus no fruit.
I’m thinking Rocks used Pudding fruit to transmit his memories to Blackbeard. Maybe he was the previous owner of that fruit. Would make sense that Big Mom got a hold of it later on too.
One really interesting parallel is Hody Jones and the second option for Blackbeard's backstory, him choosing to essentially fight to his own death because he constantly heard about Arlong as a folk hero. On the other hand though, it doesn't really fit what I would imagine Blackbeard would have as a dream. That alone doesn't really seem like a dream to me, and Blackbeard seems a bit too worldly to have a dream like "become someone important" (Usopp lol). Maybe that would be a good subversion though.
I’ve been of the idea that Teach has a Mythical Zoan that has the soul of someone from the void century who understands things like how DFs work scientifically and the true nature of the world. Probably aware of the Dawn prophecy. But after your video, I suspect that other personality might take control if Teach is asleep, and he used that against Shanks. Shanks being able to see the future might depend on something like having the greatest understanding of something he can, and that allows Haki to generate an image of the future. If this Soul wasn’t something Shank could expect, it would probably be enough to catch Shanks and scar him.
In addition to this thought, if the devil fruit is an explicit, conscious soul, they would be immortal by way of DF reincarnation. Making it possible that Rocks also has this DF and when he died, Teach could then find it. If Rocks is portrayed by his old crew to be unreliable, it could be that he was a goofball who got this fruit and the Soul convinced him to take a bunch of actions to further his Prophecy ruining agenda I mentioned before.

I think the bones of the series is an author putting every possible caricature of themselves into the series. Constantly writing themselves into a corner and overcoming hyypothetical and ridiculous struggles. With no predisposition other than the "luffy" part of Oda. (Happy go lucky, fun loving, blissfully ignorant, and loyal) will always win because an optimistic attitude and if you can 100 percent believe in yourself it'll work out. On my lats day I do wide grip pull-ups, pull downs, one arm cable pulldowns, and rows with the multi exerciser rotating bar (it’s a handle that looks like horns 🤷♂️). On rows day I do cable rows, single arm cable rows, dumbbell rows, and machine mid rows. I love my schedule and workouts.

My guess is Chimera. Its siblings are the Nemean Lion and Cerberus. Its parents are a Giant and a Gorgon (buccaneer blood?). While I don't think that Blackbeard is Rocks' son, I believe that there is someone who might be Rocks' son. That person is Rock star, from Shanks' crew. They have the same surname, Rocks (surname comes before first name in japanese), and there's a resemblance between Rockstar and Rocks' shadow

So are those three different faces of blackbeard that oda showed us in the manga?

For a while I believed in Blackbeard being a Chimera Zoan Type, however Mythical Zoan Model Cerberus would work amazing as Cerberus was always the final guard to treasures, meaning that he is the last stand before the one piece, or the final treasure
Hey Dak, its Liam! Rule of 3 taken 5 times, argue and rumble, a war for our minds. Luffy and Black Beard have different tastes, but both are living their dreams. Only Black Beard has no other choice, he must live under an incomplete moon. He cannot close his eyes to escape from his dream. It is all consuming. It swallows him. He cannot escape it or himself, the only chance he will have to rest will be when his work is done or he dies. Also, if the Gosei had summoning circles, it might mean they were summoned from somewhere else. ... if lineage is a factor, and it appears to be, maybe he is descended from the demons. Maybe his connection to the cold is a connection to the afterlife, kind of like a devil child... and yeah. Just some random thoughts and observations.
With One Piece taking a turn into toon town recently, Blackbeard’s flag now makes me think of the little devil and angel that appear next to their heads when Tom or Jerry need to make a choice. Maybe it’s like Cavendish but there’s a good and an evil, and Blackbeard is stuck in the middle.

According to me straw hats don't need a fourth road ponegliff By 4 ponegliffs a quadrilateral shape is formed and the point of intersection of diagonals is the point where last island is. Which also means that the island lies on one of the diagonal. As straw hats have three of them they can easily find one diagonal and travel across it. And, then they will just need to travel in a straight line. Hence they do not need a fourth road ponegliff. (If there is a mistake please let me know😅)

you're right, they don't need it to get the location, but to become pirate king, luffy has to go to the locations of the poneglyphs and receive the info written on them. Every time he arrives at the location of a poneglyph, something of critical importance to becoming pirate king occurs. Luffy's entire journey has been guided by the sun god nika and to abandon that guidance and use a method he devised would prevent him from ever reaching his destination. One Piece is based on Greek mythology and in Greek mythology the gods are in control and men that trust in their own power are destroyed..
At this point its fairly obviousl imo that Oda is doing the "3 faces of blackbeard" idea. Especially after introducing Cavindish as a character and the 3 headed blackbeard jolly roger. I also like the mythical zoan "kracken" fruit idea. Because it works from a piracy lore standpoint, a davy jones connection standpoint, and potentially eliminates the one weakness of devil fruits standpoint.
I heard this theory more than a decade ago, blackbeard has had that mythical zoan model cerberus. 3 heads is why he can have 3 devil fruits and explains why he has different sets of missing teeth and doesn't sleep, each head of the cerberus takes turns sleeping and controlling the main body

I think Black Beard’s power is not as complicated as this video makes it seem. I think he’s right about one thing, he’s now in possession of all three types of devil fruits. I believe Black Beard’s true Devil Fruit is the INU INU NO MI (Model Cerberus) the hell hound a special Zoan. My theory is that this fruit splits his personality allowing him to switch personalities so he can rest without sleeping, making it seem like he doesn’t sleep and when the fruit is awaken it allows him to, not only steal the fruits, but, also give this fruits to his other two personalities, I think it can do this since being the hell hound has some power over the devil souls in the fruits, directing them to go where he wants them to go after the user has already passed away, making the YAMI YAMI NO MI a misdirection from oda; the INU INU NO MI would also give him the claws needed to rip shanks’ face apart. This hypothesis also explains the changes in personality Black Beard seem to display throughout the series. And the why he looks sad is because he probably has a sad story like everyone else, most likely he started as a nice guy who got beat up by life and so to his alleged connection to the Rock pirates he chose to go the way of “evil” Either that or he suffers from multiple personality disorder, and the YAMI YAMI NO MI is, actually, what he’s using to rip fruit powers away, but that does not explain the claws, and it doesn’t feel right! I think the hypothesis that he doesn’t sleep because he’s the last of his tribe from a cold place has more holes than Swiss cheese.

My pet theory was always that Blackbeard has chimerism. Especially since now we know devil fruits become tied to the lineage factor (DNA), then if Blackbeard effectively has two lineage factors, it explains why he would be able to get two devil fruits.

I think Blackbeard is Rocks' son and that Rocks is from a special bloodline that knows about and is able to take in many devil fruits. I mean he had many powerful pirates like Whitebeard, Shiki, Big Mom, Kaidou, etc in his crew. And I think what made him the powerhouse to have these people under his jolly roger and have Roger and Garp team up and struggle against him is not only strong haki but also the control over various devil fruit powers.

I’ve talked about the Orochi/BB comparison theory a few times so some other things I thought of were one, the way Blackbeard crying/amgry looking up at the moon parallels Orochi crying and angry at the Kozuki and other daimyo families all having moon in their name, Kozuki SPECIFICALLY being the crescent moon, like young Blackbeard. Orochi was given the plan to overtake the emperor by Higurashi, Blackbeard was given the plan to overtake an emperor by I believe Shiki, because Higurashi specifically turns into him with Orochi.

I personally love the idea of a Hito hito no mi model xebec. I mean just imagine rocks creating a devil fruit with his soul inside him. And then somebody awakens it, but cant controll it. Rocks would be kinda immortal. Maybe black beard has this zoan fruit. And maybe its the same with imu. Maybe imu, nika and xebec are all devils with their own goals in the real life and they use the devil fruits to access the real world (like the devils in black clover with the grimoires).
But that is just dreaming from my side and i cant prove it.

I like that idea like them being devils and using the fruits access the real world (long ass novel theory coming up lol) makes me wonder if that the ancient kingdom was somehow able to summon them (much like how the gorosie appear) or even trap them and then permanently have them converted/transformed into the devil fruits we know today, then one day imu was summoned a powerful devil strong enough to rival even that of the Sun God Nika and instead of being turned into a fruit was able to escape into the world and in time corrupted the leaders of the 20 kingdoms and made an assault against the ancient kingdom to destroy it and take its power to summon devils for himself...after a long battle and seeing the evil of the devil they had brought upon the world in their final moment the inhabitants of the ancient kingdom transformed Nika into a devil fruit in hopes that his powers of jot and liberation would one day be able to defeat the devil that is imu.

Also a reason why the government funded Vega punks research on artificial fruits.

One of the most interesting things I think you overlooked is, when BB first encounters BB, upon being asked his name he responds with simply “ Teach”, a bit like Law his his name to the Doffy Pirates. Remember, usually people speak last name first, like Roronoa Zoro. But BB omits this entirely suggesting 1) he believes his true name would warrant suspicion 2) shame 3) disavowing the connection

Also it explains that when one sleeps one of the other two takes the control and also it explains why missing teeth pattern changes. It possibly has the power to draw/trap the devil's power/soul from a user who has just passed and force it to occupy the most nearby fruit which he then eats to gain a new devil power.
Given what you said about Xebec knowing the summoning circles I believe that Oda has recycled the original idea he had for Moriah and made Xebec a pastor with a split personality.

Zoans ALL used to be physical beings, not devil fruit weilders, but creatures bordering in deities, probably immortal, and once upon a time believed to be invincible, when vegapubk says that devil fruit were dreamed into existence, what he means is that someone realised that these beings, were not actually unkillable, they could be beaten, and their power would be trapped in a fruit and bestowed upon the one who ate of it.
Housing two deities inside your body isn't ordinarily possible because the two deities would literally fight inside the person.
The gorosensei are simply the last remaining creature deities alive, thus no fruit.

One really interesting parallel is Hody Jones and the second option for Blackbeard's backstory, him choosing to essentially fight to his own death because he constantly heard about Arlong as a folk hero.
On the other hand though, it doesn't really fit what I would imagine Blackbeard would have as a dream. That alone doesn't really seem like a dream to me, and Blackbeard seems a bit too worldly to have a dream like "become someone important" (Usopp lol). Maybe that would be a good subversion though.

Mythical Dog Dog Fruit model: Cerberus
I’ve been of the idea that Teach has a Mythical Zoan that has the soul of someone from the void century who understands things like how DFs work scientifically and the true nature of the world. Probably aware of the Dawn prophecy. But after your video, I suspect that other personality might take control if Teach is asleep, and he used that against Shanks. Shanks being able to see the future might depend on something like having the greatest understanding of something he can, and that allows Haki to generate an image of the future. If this Soul wasn’t something Shank could expect, it would probably be enough to catch Shanks and scar him.
In addition to this thought, if the devil fruit is an explicit, conscious soul, they would be immortal by way of DF reincarnation. Making it possible that Rocks also has this DF and when he died, Teach could then find it. If Rocks is portrayed by his old crew to be unreliable, it could be that he was a goofball who got this fruit and the Soul convinced him to take a bunch of actions to further his Prophecy ruining agenda I mentioned before.

On my lats day I do wide grip pull-ups, pull downs, one arm cable pulldowns, and rows with the multi exerciser rotating bar (it’s a handle that looks like horns 🤷♂️). While I don't think that Blackbeard is Rocks' son, I believe that there is someone who might be Rocks' son. That person is Rock star, from Shanks' crew. They have the same surname, Rocks (surname comes before first name in japanese), and there's a resemblance between Rockstar and Rocks' shadow

But how affects this to blackbeard? well, if he can get this ZOAN fruit, he could change "race"/tribe and become any type of human he wanted, now having 3 types of the fruits, and would be able to sleep again, maybe that makes him more powerful, maybe not, we dont know yet, but imagine too, he can become a giant, and use the eathquake, or become a lunarian and use the darkness while flying around, he would be unstoppable with chopper's fruit

With One Piece taking a turn into toon town recently, Blackbeard’s flag now makes me think of the little devil and angel that appear next to their heads when Tom or Jerry need to make a choice.

According to me straw hats don't need a fourth road ponegliff
By 4 ponegliffs a quadrilateral shape is formed and the point of intersection of diagonals is the point where last island is.
Which also means that the island lies on one of the diagonal. As straw hats have three of them they can easily find one diagonal and travel across it. And, then they will just need to travel in a straight line. Hence they do not need a fourth road ponegliff. (If there is a mistake please let me know😅)

you're right, they don't need it to get the location, but to become pirate king, luffy has to go to the locations of the poneglyphs and receive the info written on them. Every time he arrives at the location of a poneglyph, something of critical importance to becoming pirate king occurs. Luffy's entire journey has been guided by the sun god nika and to abandon that guidance and use a method he devised would prevent him from ever reaching his destination. One Piece is based on Greek mythology and in Greek mythology the gods are in control and men that trust in their own power are destroyed..
At this point its fairly obviousl imo that Oda is doing the "3 faces of blackbeard" idea. Especially after introducing Cavindish as a character and the 3 headed blackbeard jolly roger.
I also like the mythical zoan "kracken" fruit idea. Because it works from a piracy lore standpoint, a davy jones connection standpoint, and potentially eliminates the one weakness of devil fruits standpoint.
I heard this theory more than a decade ago, blackbeard has had that mythical zoan model cerberus. 3 heads is why he can have 3 devil fruits and explains why he has different sets of missing teeth and doesn't sleep, each head of the cerberus takes turns sleeping and controlling the main body

I think Black Beard’s power is not as complicated as this video makes it seem.
I think he’s right about one thing, he’s now in possession of all three types of devil fruits.
I believe Black Beard’s true Devil Fruit is the INU INU NO MI (Model Cerberus) the hell hound a special Zoan.
My theory is that this fruit splits his personality allowing him to switch personalities so he can rest without sleeping, making it seem like he doesn’t sleep and when the fruit is awaken it allows him to, not only steal the fruits, but, also give this fruits to his other two personalities, I think it can do this since being the hell hound has some power over the devil souls in the fruits, directing them to go where he wants them to go after the user has already passed away, making the YAMI YAMI NO MI a misdirection from oda; the INU INU NO MI would also give him the claws needed to rip shanks’ face apart.
This hypothesis also explains the changes in personality Black Beard seem to display throughout the series.
And the why he looks sad is because he probably has a sad story like everyone else, most likely he started as a nice guy who got beat up by life and so to his alleged connection to the Rock pirates he chose to go the way of “evil”

My pet theory was always that Blackbeard has chimerism. Especially since now we know devil fruits become tied to the lineage factor (DNA), then if Blackbeard effectively has two lineage factors, it explains why he would be able to get two devil fruits.

I feel like BB has someone in his crew who`s kinda like Trebol and found BB when he was a child hooked him up with a fruit and now tries to get him to become a king for his own agenda. Someone like laffite but every BB crewmate is shrouded in mystery so it could be anybody

I think Oda said in one of the recent SBS that Kuma's bear ears aren't an intentional styling on his part, its just like his version of bedhead / a cowlick that he can't get rid off lol. Great vid man.

I think it made more sense that blackbeard heard whitebeard stories about his time with the rocks pirate and got inspired to be like rocks , marco already confirm drunk whitebeard like telling stories just like luffy all it took was stories of the pirate adventures.
