I think the messenger is lafeat ! There was. Shades figure when rox crew was introduced. Lafeat visited marijeoa and the gorosia just like shanks. I wonder if rox himself has something to do with black beard. I think Blackbeard is Rocks' son and that Rocks is from a special bloodline that knows about and is able to take in many devil fruits. I mean he had many powerful pirates like Whitebeard, Shiki, Big Mom, Kaidou, etc in his crew. And I think what made him the powerhouse to have these people under his jolly roger and have Roger and Garp team up and struggle against him is not only strong haki but also the control over various devil fruit powers.

I personally love the idea of a Hito hito no mi model xebec. I mean just imagine rocks creating a devil fruit with his soul inside him. And then somebody awakens it, but cant controll it. Rocks would be kinda immortal. Maybe black beard has this zoan fruit. And maybe its the same with imu. Maybe imu, nika and xebec are all devils with their own goals in the real life and they use the devil fruits to access the real world (like the devils in black clover with the grimoires).
But that is just dreaming from my side and i cant prove it.

I like that idea like them being devils and using the fruits access the real world (long ass novel theory coming up lol) makes me wonder if that the ancient kingdom was somehow able to summon them (much like how the gorosie appear) or even trap them and then permanently have them converted/transformed into the devil fruits we know today, then one day imu was summoned a powerful devil strong enough to rival even that of the Sun God Nika and instead of being turned into a fruit was able to escape into the world and in time corrupted the leaders of the 20 kingdoms and made an assault against the ancient kingdom to destroy it and take its power to summon devils for himself...after a long battle and seeing the evil of the devil they had brought upon the world in their final moment the inhabitants of the ancient kingdom transformed Nika into a devil fruit in hopes that his powers of jot and liberation would one day be able to defeat the devil that is imu.
After attaining the technology of the ancient kingdom, Imu then summoned 5 more devils to assist him in his control over the world and for 700 years it worked but as the world grew and an era of piracy began control became unstable and imu had made a decision to summon another devil, though it did not go as planned this devil was one with power enough to withstand the influence of Imu and had ambitions of his own to take over this new world he had been brought to..this devil was the devil of darkness itself Xebec.
After travelling the world and learning of the battle for the ancient kingdom and the technology it possessed xebec discovered the summonings and the truth of the devil fruits creations and that even after the mighty battle Imu continued to enslave his kind to the fruits of the ancient kingdom so he could tempt and manipulate his pawns in which he calls the world government, enraged by the treachery of his kind xebec launches an attack against imu and makes an oath to forever appose him, the nobles and the world government.
Woops legit novel😂 anyway God Valley had the tech for the summons and fruit creations and before xebec died he attempted to summom another devil to continu his legacy but in believing he failed he then turned himself into a zoan type devil fruit destroying the device in the process (probs garp & rogers fault really) but he didnt fail it just did not work correctly now we have blackbeard a young devil brought to this world that never sleeps with a peculiar body not bound by the normalities of the world allowing him to weild multiple powers of his fallen brethren and carry the will of xebec. Also a reason why the government funded Vega punks research on artificial fruits.

@dabirgauhar8614 that's a good point my only answer to that backing my wild ass story is the devils either have a age cap so they get old and just kind of stop🤣 or the gorosei and imu have been successful at performing the perpetual youth operation over the years as they are all different ages just look at saint sheppard compared to the rest must have been a good year🤣, so that would add credit to the idea they do age but only until they are succeful in attaining immortality via perpetual youth and restores the possibility of blackbeard being a part of the devil race lol I dno🤷🤣
I’ve talked about the Orochi/BB comparison theory a few times so some other things I thought of were one, the way Blackbeard crying/amgry looking up at the moon parallels Orochi crying and angry at the Kozuki and other daimyo families all having moon in their name, Kozuki SPECIFICALLY being the crescent moon, like young Blackbeard. Orochi was given the plan to overtake the emperor by Higurashi, Blackbeard was given the plan to overtake an emperor by I believe Shiki, because Higurashi specifically turns into him with Orochi.

One really interesting parallel is Hody Jones and the second option for Blackbeard's backstory, him choosing to essentially fight to his own death because he constantly heard about Arlong as a folk hero.
On the other hand though, it doesn't really fit what I would imagine Blackbeard would have as a dream. That alone doesn't really seem like a dream to me, and Blackbeard seems a bit too worldly to have a dream like "become someone important" (Usopp lol). Maybe that would be a good subversion though.

I think the bones of the series is an author putting every possible caricature of themselves into the series. Constantly writing themselves into a corner and overcoming hyypothetical and ridiculous struggles. With no predisposition other than the "luffy" part of Oda. (Happy go lucky, fun loving, blissfully ignorant, and loyal) will always win because an optimistic attitude and if you can 100 percent believe in yourself it'll work out. Onepiece is an honest and obscure projection of oneself. While exploring the boundaries of who any of us could possibly be.

While I don't think that Blackbeard is Rocks' son, I believe that there is someone who might be Rocks' son. That person is Rock star, from Shanks' crew. They have the same surname, Rocks (surname comes before first name in japanese), and there's a resemblance between Rockstar and Rocks' shadow
I just thought about this but remember in The Anime, it was mentioned Rockstar joined The Red Haired Pirates. Now we haven't seen much of him, but he could be Rocks son.

It would be cool if blackbeard in keeping with his 3 theme and assuming he has a Luffy style zoan that's more logia than paramecia takes the ice logia devil fruit like he did the quake quake devil fruit. Only manifesting the power in his awakened form. Good contrast with the bear versus the monkey ice versus fire, and destruction and underworld theme he has going for him.

I split my back days between lats and rows. On my lats day I do wide grip pull-ups, pull downs, one arm cable pulldowns, and rows with the multi exerciser rotating bar (it’s a handle that looks like horns 🤷♂️). On rows day I do cable rows, single arm cable rows, dumbbell rows, and machine mid rows. I love my schedule and workouts.

According to me straw hats don't need a fourth road ponegliff
By 4 ponegliffs a quadrilateral shape is formed and the point of intersection of diagonals is the point where last island is.
Which also means that the island lies on one of the diagonal. As straw hats have three of them they can easily find one diagonal and travel across it. And, then they will just need to travel in a straight line. Hence they do not need a fourth road ponegliff. (If there is a mistake please let me know😅)

you're right, they don't need it to get the location, but to become pirate king, luffy has to go to the locations of the poneglyphs and receive the info written on them. Every time he arrives at the location of a poneglyph, something of critical importance to becoming pirate king occurs. Luffy's entire journey has been guided by the sun god nika and to abandon that guidance and use a method he devised would prevent him from ever reaching his destination. One Piece is based on Greek mythology and in Greek mythology the gods are in control and men that trust in their own power are destroyed..

Luffy and Black Beard have different tastes, but both are living their dreams. Only Black Beard has no other choice, he must live under an incomplete moon. He cannot close his eyes to escape from his dream. It is all consuming. It swallows him. He cannot escape it or himself, the only chance he will have to rest will be when his work is done or he dies.
Also, if the Gosei had summoning circles, it might mean they were summoned from somewhere else.
... if lineage is a factor, and it appears to be, maybe he is descended from the demons. Maybe his connection to the cold is a connection to the afterlife, kind of like a devil child... and yeah. Just some random thoughts and observations.

With One Piece taking a turn into toon town recently, Blackbeard’s flag now makes me think of the little devil and angel that appear next to their heads when Tom or Jerry need to make a choice.

I think so - Maybe when he sleeps, he becomes his "true" form, like a hippo, and hippos have 3 chambers to the stomach so that might be the key. Or maybe its that Teach is part buccaneer and his blood lets hmi do it. The answer has to be in here somewhere
@@DaksSake If you observe the different manga panels that show Blackbeard laughing or smiling you can see that sometimes Blackbeard is shown with all teeth intact while in some panels he is shown with three teeth missing but from different locations. So are those three different faces of blackbeard that oda showed us in the manga?

My pet theory was always that Blackbeard has chimerism. Especially since now we know devil fruits become tied to the lineage factor (DNA), then if Blackbeard effectively has two lineage factors, it explains why he would be able to get two devil fruits.

So Buggy and Shanks did not sleep as well or how else would they both be able to confirm or tell with certainty that Teach has not slept during the battle between Roger and Whitebeard.
My guess is Chimera. Its siblings are the Nemean Lion and Cerberus. Its parents are a Giant and a Gorgon (buccaneer blood?). It's an amalgam of 3 animals (strength of a lion, the cunning of a goat, and the venom of a snake.) it's also associated with dreams. A Chimera Dream is an illusion or fabrication of the mind. especially : an unrealizable dream. a fancy.

Just wanted to point out the word kuma literally is the japanese word for bear. Theres a fun anime called kuma kuma kuma bear that i lesrned that fact from.

I think Blackbeard will end up having Cerberus zoan devil fruit. Because 3 heads.. 3 personalities.. 3 devil fruits. So he has 3 devil fruits.. Zoan Cerberus, Darkness and Earthquake. And it would also explain why Blackbeard doesnt sleep. He sleeps. But switches between 3 personalities. So the other 2 rest. Whille 1 is active. And since they share the same body and mind.: They know when things happen. Also it would even work with body damage. 1 takes damage. Instead of dying.. Switches to personality 2 and is still alive and undamaged.
I think it's cerebus but also mixed in is the 3 fates who share 1 eye in many mythologies. That eye signifies who can see at any given time. In this case which BB can interact with the outside world.

I think it made more sense that blackbeard heard whitebeard stories about his time with the rocks pirate and got inspired to be like rocks , marco already confirm drunk whitebeard like telling stories just like luffy all it took was stories of the pirate adventures.

Look up the Kamaitachi. It’s a mythical Japanese creature that’s a weasel with claws. Blackbeard is always scheming and the claws make sense
I like the Teach - Hippo DF idea. It's dangerous but not TOO serious or OP. It's kinda bit and fun looking.
