I don’t think oda is doing this alone. Oda might have the base ideas but crafting everything together is most likely done by his team together with Oda. Such a vast story needs many people keeping track of things especially with the insane foreshadowing in OnePiece. It is not possible for Oda alone, it is like a ship crew. someone decides where to go, another steers, someone keeps it running, you need someone cleaning up the place and many more.
I disagree a bit. I think he has wonderful world building, but he also just throws out so many facts and potential plot lines that it's relatively easy to weave then together later. The first few seasons are full of things with no payoff or future reference. The big one for me was always the rainbow mist. It feels like something very important, it's potential time travel for anyone to any time, yet after it's gone it just disappeared forever.

I like to believe that Toki time traveled from the void century with Ryuma, got separated some 400 years later and that’s how Ryuma is speculated to be ~400 years old according to the wiki. Joyboy would need a swordsman after all (if he was really like Luffy). I always liked the idea that Joyboy is 1 of 3 princes of the ancient kingdom that volunteered to complete project All Blue. Something his mother Imu was not happy about probably because it required some bio engineering on her 3 sons as well that destroying the red line could go wrong. 1:39 that's given me a theory. when joyboy was defeated, Imu separated his will and his powers into two forms, with his will being passed to random people who had strong wills and defied the Celestial Dragons, and becoming the Will of D or Will of Drums. Haven't watched yet, but I'd add Zunesha, too. Zunesha could be a real world mythical creature who has a DF, hence why he is weakened the sea and has a longer life. The Monster series tells us real life mythical creatures definitely existed, but were prevalant enough that they harrassed towns and people. A real life mythical creature with a DF would be a Chopper, but to an extreme. I'd like to think Zunesha's DF is a mundane zoan, with a solid awakening. Or any DF that cuts his true-form size down considerably to be able to interact with the Joy-boy crew on a more intimate level.

I think Toki is Nefertari D. Lili for the following reasons: 1- Cobra mentioned that Lili did not return to arabasta, and Toki in the flashback mentioned that she was from Wano, but Odin found her outside of Wano = Lili, in the past, went to Wano for a reason and began to travel in time until Odin found her. 2- We knew that the Wano borders were open and that the reason for their closure was unknown. I expect that they closed them to cover up the presence ofNefertari D. Lili with them. 3- Odin’s family is the one who writes the Poneglyphs, and I expect that Lily went to them to write history because it is the only way to preserve history. 4- Odin asked her if she was traveling to reach the promised day and she answered yes 5- Toki’s hair color is close to vivi’s 6- Toki, Joy Boy, and Kozuki = Vivi, Luffy, and Momonski 7- maybe imu-sama wants Vivi because she is a descendant of Toki

I could see this paralleling Star Wars, as Revenge of the Sith ended with Anakin, a Jedi Knight who was held back by the order, despite being proclaimed as the chosen one, betraying the Jedi Order after one of its Masters, Mace Windu, stepped out of line and tried to assassinate the Chancellor without trial, and all Jedi were ordered to be hunted down and executed, under Order 66, and the Republic would be effectively reorganized into the Galactic Empire. Similarly, I think the Lunarian may have been the one to step out of line, causing Imu to betray Joy Boy's crew, and have all of his members hunted down and executed, and would have the alliance of the twenty reorganized into the World Government, to maintain stability, and stick it to Joy Boy, and by killing almost every Lunarian in the holy land of Mariejois, turning to the dark side. And there is precident for a member betraying their own crew for any reason, such as when Teach stole the Dark Dark Fruit to stick it to the person he believed stole his rightful fruit from him, killed him and left the crew, and let the fruit corrupt and consume him, similar to how Imu let his hatred for the Lunarians, and the Buccanears get to them as well, letting darkness consume them, similar to how fire engulfed Anakin on Mustafar, and detroyed almost all of the good left in him, forcing him to wear a dark suit, becoming Darth Vader. And similarly, I could see one of the crew members being particularly upset with Imu, possibly Lili, who I think Imu may have been in love with, and possibly fathered a few kids with, with her out of anger scattering the ponoglyphs across the world so her now ex not being able to find them, and refusing to join, causing her to die after her children are born, and Joy Boy being forced to duel Imu, but, instead of Obi Wan winning because he had the high ground on Anakin, I think Imu had the high ground on Joy Boy, and effectively killed him that way, but Joy Boy would laugh, saying that he may have killed him, he won't kill his family and clan, and that he's gathered his entire treasure in one place and one piece, and that now it's up for his and his crew's descendants to find it, explaining how the Marines were formed, as originally just tools to find Joy Boy's treasure, which Imu named "One Piece", because of the last words of his now fallen captain.
I think Joyboy went on a journey to do something and along the way he had postpone helping his friends for the greater cause. Because of that, in the decisive battle his friends couldn't help him, they wanted to but they coudln't because they had their own problems to deal with. I feel like Nika wasn't a Sun God, it was a popular cartoon character that mocked the celestial dragons, and that's why they wanted to eliminate it from history. But the remains of this cartoon were found and people tought they were legends about a god, and when people believe in him as the warrior of freedom, it created the Model Nika fruit.
My feeling for Toki based on what we've been told - that she wanted to see the future Joyboy promised but got caught up in events and loving Oden - that she is meant as a Moses character. However, rather than missing out on the promised land as punishment, she arrives 20 years early and realizes that the reward of SEEING the promised future paled in comparison to the responsibility to bring it to fruition. She stopped running, put down roots, and took her place in the chain of events rather than arrive in the promised future as an outsider with no stake akin to the celestial dragons (truly a pitiable people.) She came to know that actually witnessing the promised land without participating in its arrival would be a fate worse than death.

When you were talking about zoro being a fallen angel makes so much sense to me. We also don’t know zoros parents, which means he might be like half illyrian.
I don't think pirates were a thing till after the void century. It's more likely he was a political figure of some sort. I'd at least think that'd be more interesting than if pirates were a thing since forever cause that would make no sense without a marine world order.
I always liked the idea that Joyboy is 1 of 3 princes of the ancient kingdom that volunteered to complete project All Blue. Something his mother Imu was not happy about probably because it required some bio engineering on her 3 sons as well that destroying the red line could go wrong. Oda did state in a SBS that mothers are the opposite of adventure.

1:39 that's given me a theory. when joyboy was defeated, Imu separated his will and his powers into two forms, with his will being passed to random people who had strong wills and defied the Celestial Dragons, and becoming the Will of D or Will of Drums. And his powers becoming the Nika Fruit. tho it relies on Imu having some mystic power.
Haven't watched yet, but I'd add Zunesha, too. Zunesha could be a real world mythical creature who has a DF, hence why he is weakened the sea and has a longer life.
The Monster series tells us real life mythical creatures definitely existed, but were prevalant enough that they harrassed towns and people. A real life mythical creature with a DF would be a Chopper, but to an extreme.
I'd like to think Zunesha's DF is a mundane zoan, with a solid awakening. Or any DF that cuts his true-form size down considerably to be able to interact with the Joy-boy crew on a more intimate level.
one thing though. back then joyboy probs lived harmoniously with all the countries as there was probably complete harmony. and the crew was probably just hanging out and having fun. BUT, imu probably set up a plan to use the 20 islands that were kingdom's annoyance in the adventures joyboy had and all the wreaking of havoc to rule the world

I think Toki is Nefertari D. Lili for the following reasons:
1- Cobra mentioned that Lili did not return to arabasta, and Toki in the flashback mentioned that she was from Wano, but Odin found her outside of Wano = Lili, in the past, went to Wano for a reason and began to travel in time until Odin found her.
2- We knew that the Wano borders were open and that the reason for their closure was unknown. I expect that they closed them to cover up the presence ofNefertari D. Lili with them.
3- Odin’s family is the one who writes the Poneglyphs, and I expect that Lily went to them to write history because it is the only way to preserve history.
4- Odin asked her if she was traveling to reach the promised day and she answered yes
5- Toki’s hair color is close to vivi’s
6- Toki, Joy Boy, and Kozuki = Vivi, Luffy, and Momonski
7- maybe imu-sama wants Vivi because she is a descendant of Toki
Unless she had another man, the only she children she ever had was Momo and Hiyori. But nothing in Oden's flashback shows she was was married or had another lover before meeting Oden.

I believe toki came 20 years before mc birth because of a mission which I believe was to bring something to the future in order to make sure that the world government wouldn’t get their hands on it in the 800 year gap in history. I believe she was tasked to bring the (u know what) devil fruit to a time when the second coming of joy boy was to come. Because if not it doesn’t make any sense to me that none for over 800 years maybe even 1000 years had that specific fruit.

I could see this paralleling Star Wars, as Revenge of the Sith ended with Anakin, a Jedi Knight who was held back by the order, despite being proclaimed as the chosen one, betraying the Jedi Order after one of its Masters, Mace Windu, stepped out of line and tried to assassinate the Chancellor without trial, and all Jedi were ordered to be hunted down and executed, under Order 66, and the Republic would be effectively reorganized into the Galactic Empire. Similarly, I think the Lunarian may have been the one to step out of line, causing Imu to betray Joy Boy's crew, and have all of his members hunted down and executed, and would have the alliance of the twenty reorganized into the World Government, to maintain stability, and stick it to Joy Boy, and by killing almost every Lunarian in the holy land of Mariejois, turning to the dark side. And there is precident for a member betraying their own crew for any reason, such as when Teach stole the Dark Dark Fruit to stick it to the person he believed stole his rightful fruit from him, killed him and left the crew, and let the fruit corrupt and consume him, similar to how Imu let his hatred for the Lunarians, and the Buccanears get to them as well, letting darkness consume them, similar to how fire engulfed Anakin on Mustafar, and detroyed almost all of the good left in him, forcing him to wear a dark suit, becoming Darth Vader. And similarly, I could see one of the crew members being particularly upset with Imu, possibly Lili, who I think Imu may have been in love with, and possibly fathered a few kids with, with her out of anger scattering the ponoglyphs across the world so her now ex not being able to find them, and refusing to join, causing her to die after her children are born, and Joy Boy being forced to duel Imu, but, instead of Obi Wan winning because he had the high ground on Anakin, I think Imu had the high ground on Joy Boy, and effectively killed him that way, but Joy Boy would laugh, saying that he may have killed him, he won't kill his family and clan, and that he's gathered his entire treasure in one place and one piece, and that now it's up for his and his crew's descendants to find it, explaining how the Marines were formed, as originally just tools to find Joy Boy's treasure, which Imu named "One Piece", because of the last words of his now fallen captain.
Intersting... when I read the Mangas I thought Lili and Imu were the same person. Lili being who Imu was before their dramatic way of life.

I think Joyboy went on a journey to do something and along the way he had postpone helping his friends for the greater cause. Because of that, in the decisive battle his friends couldn't help him, they wanted to but they coudln't because they had their own problems to deal with. I feel like Nika wasn't a Sun God, it was a popular cartoon character that mocked the celestial dragons, and that's why they wanted to eliminate it from history. But the remains of this cartoon were found and people tought they were legends about a god, and when people believe in him as the warrior of freedom, it created the Model Nika fruit.
My feeling for Toki based on what we've been told - that she wanted to see the future Joyboy promised but got caught up in events and loving Oden - that she is meant as a Moses character. However, rather than missing out on the promised land as punishment, she arrives 20 years early and realizes that the reward of SEEING the promised future paled in comparison to the responsibility to bring it to fruition. She stopped running, put down roots, and took her place in the chain of events rather than arrive in the promised future as an outsider with no stake akin to the celestial dragons (truly a pitiable people.) She came to know that actually witnessing the promised land without participating in its arrival would be a fate worse than death.
