Today, we went to FRRO Delhi for OCI but they did everything except the interview, they have also given us a Acknowledge Receipt. Why were we not interviewed?
Every state does things differently... Have you submitted the DD already? If not, maybe after they look at your documents, they will call you back to interview you and get the DD. If it's done, then you guys are lucky! As far as I know, interview is essential in this process. 💙

It would be really kind if you can share your views regarding following questions - 1 - Did the apostilles asked by the FRRO had a minimum date limit (like apostilles accepted only if they are less than 6 months old) Because I want to get apostille now, but we can apply for OCI only in 13 months. Hence, will a 13 month old apostille be still acceptable ? 2 - Was there any mention that the spouse's name should be there on the Indian partner's passport? thank you!

Hi there, it’s really helpful video really appreciate. I have the same issue as you’d before, the police verification has been sent to the city where I’m residing since June 3rd 2022, but the location police officer had it but didn’t inform us about the same. I went to the nearest FRRO for enquiry and I’ve shown them the mail from the main FRRO after that one lady has given me the number of that particular police officer who got my docs and the same day I’ve called him and asked whether he has my documents or not and his answer was “who gave you my number” 🤦🏼♂️🤣 I was frustrated and angry at the same time, I just told him do you have my docs or not and lately he said “yes” but I’ll call you later he “mentioned “. He called us on 24th June after waiting for 21 days . Well, we’ve done everything with the police verification it been now 2 weeks and half still no updates on my status and even my wife and I called them they’re saying the same things as you mentioned in the video. We can’t go to that main FRRO cause it’s quite far but we’ve no other options than waiting..🤦🏼♂️
I suggest to personally go to that police verification office and ask if they have sent the letter. They won't do the work unless you pressure them. 🤷🏻♀️ Which state are you from?
@@MaryInIndia Well, in West Bengal. The police officer has told us that he already forwarded through mail as well as post office. So I guess the delay resides from the main office side. And when we called them (main FRRO), they’ve said that it’ll take time he mentioned “2 months “ again cause the have to forward it to Delhi. Well, according to me I’m really wondering why they’ve to take this much time at the time everything from my side has been done !
Hi, my wife also from Philippines and we also facing same kind of problem. We had done our documentation by 20 Jan 2022 till today doesn't find any updates, even my wife's visa going to expired by 2nd of next month. Does you recieved your OCI b4 before your visa expired or you had to renew your visa?
In my case, i have received my oci 10 days before my visa expired. We hurriedly went to the FRRO personally to ask an update and we found out that my application got stuck because of the police verification... You guys should also come to the FRRO to know whats the prob.. Because normally, the process only takes 45 days.

I was searching for Tourist X Visa but didn't find it. Can you tell me which visa to apply for if i want to marry a foreign lady in india (I am citizen of india).
is the tourist visa for the foreign lady? if so, then she can take the regular visa issued by the indian embassy in her country or she can take the etourist visa.

FYI, X-entry visa will issues for various categories specially for family/spouse it is very helpful for the first 2 years from the marriage date. Foreign spouses are eligible for OCI only after 2 years from the marriage date. To apply X-entry visa you should submit marriage cert and both passports copies, online form, passphotos x2 (if you are working overseas your visa copy too) at FRRO, make sure you bringing originals too.
