Thank you so much for this video! I have my interview coming up soon in the US. It’s done over video call, so it’s a different process but this was still very helpful to get an idea of what to expect!
You’re welcome! Actually I know a few people who did their interviews in the US last year and they did say the questions were almost identical to the ones we had in India 😃😃 hope that helps. Good luck 😊
Hey Thanks for the video . Its very supportive and informative. Can you please share the interview of that girl in mumbai OCI office ? Actually mine interview is on 8th june . I m from mumbai. It will be very helpful if i see that as i m also from Mumbai. I will appreciate your help. Thanks again .
Hi there! Actually I didn’t do an interview with her, she’s just in a shared Facebook group and mentioned her experiences. The questions she was asked was actually exactly the same as I was asked which I mentioned in this video 😊 so if you follow the questions in my video it should be okay. Sometimes they ask questions off script, like how you’re liking india, if you and your partner are different religions and if it’s a problem (this happened to my friend), but mostly they kept to the questions on the paper
Hahah well tbh most of the documents you need are the same as the ones you need for your X visa so keep a file with all the documents together 🤣🤣 and add to it each time you renew your visa and registration hahaha
Hi just came across to your channel as well and subscribed it too. I have a question, is there a requirement of stay in India before you can apply for an oci visa from entry visa? I hope you will notice my message. Thank you and God Bless.
Hi, yes there is. You need a stay of 180 days in india before being able to apply for OCI from entry visa (as well as 2 years of marriage) 😊 it’s not really written anywhere I don’t think, but I’ve heard it mentioned a lot in some online groups
Hello. Sorry for cutting in your chat😅 i got married on Jan 2021 which means two years ago and I have Entry visa now. I am wondering if I went to back to my country last month,(Aug 2023) and I will apply OCI this winter on Nov 2023, this mean I didn’t stay 180days in India? Anyway, your video is so useful to me❤thank you!

Mostly they ask such questions just to see how confident you are and how genuine us your marriage and you be able to answer everything if you are actually married and not just to get the OCI.
Hey, Thank you so much, your video was very informative and solved so many doubts, I still have a question, if you can answer, it would be great, Where your birth certificate issued in Australia? If yes, did you apostille your birth certificate while applying for OCI?
Hi 😊 my birth certificate was issued in australia and I didn’t get it apostilled here in india. They didn’t ask; but I don’t know if that’s the same for everyone 😅😅
Thank you for sharing your experience and information. I have a question - Was it anywhere mentioned that the spouse's name should be there on the Indian partner's passport?
Hi, thanks for the video, really helpful! I have one question that i can’t seem to get answer for, hope you can help. Basically, i have OCI (applied via myself as a former indian origin), this was approved when i was single. I have since then got married, do i need to update/renew my OCI card to show i’m married and add my Mrs name on the card, or is that not necessary? Please help. Thanks
Hi, thank you ☺️ I’m not familiar with this answer myself but I checked online and found a government site and it said you can add your spouses name (whether it’s a requirement I don’t know, but if your spouse wants to apply for OCI based on your Indian origin I think you will need to update it).
