- Dead Space Remake is a game where Isaac Deadspace has to shoot a lot of zombies in the arm. But watch out for the guys who can spit corrosion blobs, I hate those guys they suck. In the all new zero-g gameplay sections, fly around and try to figure out where the heck the zombies are shooting at you from. And who could forget Nicole Deadspace, the famous character. I'm on chapter 11 of the game and the first letters spell out "NICOLE IS DEA". I am trying to figure out what this means but don't tell me I don't want spoilers.

So in that case Isaac is a incarnation of the Eternal Champion fighting agains the hordes of Chaos, represented by Unitology, as he js trying to bring forth the Cosmic Balance? Sounds plausible actually.

2:58 I know this is a joke, but it is even more hilarious that this is the only shimmy in the entire game, its only there for a jump scare, and you can immediately turn around and open it up.

@@AlesMicik Except Shadow of the Colossus and Demon Souls as well as TLOU since those fit more in the line of remasters than remakes since really they just updated the graphics and controls and are 1:1 of the originals. Very much needed though, can't speak for Demon Souls but SotC remake was phenomenal.
But yeah The RE remakes have been like this though I think Dead Space remake raises the bar a bit with not cutting any content, expanding the story and lore, and fixing both; plot holes and bad sections

We finally get a proper sequel to "welcome to the mining deck, we have impact font" with "don't fear the marker"
That shimmying moment had me sighing for a bit until I realized it was a cutscene. Embarrassments like Callisto protocol really overused the shimmying/crawling when dead space just used it for one cutscene 😂

Thank you for this video, at this time. We just got power back after 110 hours without, freezing half the time, throwing out all our food, and a bunch of other insanity. Like, on point, setting-relevant and hitting proper rhythms and rhrymes on the original music.
I definitely prefer the ambiguous, "that thing" to the ridiculous random names writers come up with for undead enemies, like, "Walkers" or "Freakers" just to avoid using zombie.
I'm kinda in the opposite boat. I mean, calling zombies anything other than zombies is stupid, but not as stupid as referring to a monster in a way that completely avoids describing it in a useful way.
This is a respectable perspective. I would definitely prefer a thoughtful, descriptive naming system for enemies everytime. I just prefer if a writer can't come up with a concise, not cheesy, name for their creatures, that they have an ambiguous one to a half assed one (especially if it's a first contact sinario). Neither option is perfect which is why there is room for bias and preference and I appreciate you sharing yours!
@@rigbone173 yeah, that makes sense. I do prefer terms like "biters" or "freakers" (although that's a reference most people won't get anymore) to things like "walkers". I don't know if "walkers" is any better than "things" because it's exactly as undescriptive.

Personally, as much nostalgia as I have for the original, and side from a few small things or nitpicks (I like og Hammond's voice more than new Hammond for example, but again that is minor), I'd say the remake just does it better. Imho.
