holy shit you FINALLY played it! Just a fun fact for anyone who has played this game: On the first navi level theres a human-avatar encampment that you can gain access to, because you've sided with the navi the human controlled avatars WILL shoot you.
This game also has a RISK minigame for both sides. You have a home base and conquer Pandora which is split into zones using your Infantry, Mechs and Scorpions (Warriors, Horse riders and Ikrans)
The mini-game also gave bonuses to your character upon taking and holding certain territories too, pretty nice incentive and it was totally optional anyway.

This game also had a pvp multiplayer and it was actually really fun. Moving though a jungle path in a Mech suit with a squad of people only to be ambushed from overhead vines by Blue giants with massive clubs was some of the best fun I had in 7th gen.
They should probably reboot the first game as well. Considering this one is several generations behind, imagine what they could do with a modern version!
I played it a dozen times ten years ago, both navi and human gameplay. It was one day that I accidentally kicked off the disk door of the xbox that was randomly open. Then we gave it to some guys who said they can fix it. But they never gave the xbox back. So now I have the game with me but I'll never play it again. Such good memories.

This is true and can't be disproven because no one saw the Avatar sequel, and anyone who did wouldn't admit it
Honestly the best part of both Avatar movies was the world building so the fact that there isn’t a larger Avatar extended universe after the success of the first one is shocking

Yes, but they're not inherently hostile, that's just environmental conditions. Pandora is a massive jungle world filled with violent alien wildlife that tries its hardest to murder you. Some of said wildlife is intelligent and those ones *really* want to murder you.
I got a 360 E last year used just to play all those old non backwards compatible games I never got around too This game was one of the first I got and I was surprised at how enjoyable it was. Did both the campaigns and was tempted to try and get each map to 100% until I realized just how much exploration it would take.... Currently playing Eragon on the 360 and I regret my life choices.
I loved this game as a kid, played hundreds of hours for some reason (I didnt have internet) and yeah the RDA is the superior run. In terms of ambition, there's some really interesting strategies for the RDA equipment that goes mechanics heavy. Like the SIR is really useful at distance, and does more damage and is more accurate at long to medium range, the Bushboss will panic Viperwolves, and the Scorpion tiltrotors automatically pitch forwards and if brought in for low swoops enable hilariously one sided missile salvoes against ground based enemies. The AMP suit also knocks enemies down when it jumps, can attack with the GAU rifle's bayonet, which actually causes a bleed effect and is the only RDA melee attack in the game. Also, the WASP pistols have TOW like trackers in the bullets. None of this is actually mentioned as mechanics but was just put in
Just imagine that instead of creating Avatars to find the weaknesses of the Na vi, the humans build the rougue trooper guys to invade all of pandora. Since they are kinda similar; being able to breath in a violent atsmosphere, stronger bodies that puts to shame the average military guy, and of course they are both blue.

But now We will invade somone else with our clone army because I HATE HIPPY NATURE AND TALL BLUE people with stupidly big feet... We can not let there foot fuel fetish power be unleashed.. Man, I remember playing through the Na'avi campaign, totally forgot you could side as the humans. I'm pretty sure the blue dorks campaign was longer and had better missions than what you showed here. PS: Mech-sized assault rifles with bayonets are the most kino firearm possible
If I remember correctly, this game goes in two wildly different directions where it's basically the Human campaign or the Navi campaign. Like some people have mentioned the human campaign is better because guns. It is possible someone could play this game without knowing there's two distinct sides to it.
I remember briefly playing the PvP for this game and it was kinda hilariously one sided, because the humans were obviously smaller but for some reason also had way more gun options, with a shorter ttk than the Navi (as in they could kill quicker than Navi could) had more forgiving aim due to higher fire rates, AND the maps were designed to favour ranged combat over melee (which made up 3 of the 4 options for Navi players)

Back in about 2009, my parents bought a massive new (at the time) tv, and the store they bought it from had a promotion where they threw in a free Nintendo Wii with every purchase of a tv over a certain price. I was a PC and Xbox360 gamer at the time, but was happy to get a free Wii. The Wii also came with this game, and I remember at the time hearing that this game was actually pretty alright for a movie tie-in game. But in my head I just heard "movie tie-in game" and instead of playing it I headed out and bought a copy of Metroid Prime instead. I never played the copy of Avatar: The Game that came with the Wii, in fact it is probably still sealed in its original shrink wrapping. I kinda regret not trying this game out at the time. It does actually look like a fun game for the time, but not good enough that I'd be willing to go back and play it today. The environments look cool, although they don't even ATTEMPT to hold a candle to the film. Lots of grey, washed out colours (a problem in most games of that time to be fair, it was, for some reason, the style of the time) where the film put the vibrant colours of Pandora front and centre, those floating islands in the film were bright green and had all kinds of vines and flowers and stuff growing on them with all kinds of colours.
Remembering when the game launch, I bought at the open of the store... Finished the game without enjoy and go back in the store trying to change for another one (worked)

You don't need oxygen (like in the air) to use a flamethrower, plus there is oxygen on Pandora, just not enough for humans to breathe for long

The Wii also came with this game, and I remember at the time hearing that this game was actually pretty alright for a movie tie-in game. But in my head I just heard "movie tie-in game" and instead of playing it I headed out and bought a copy of Metroid Prime instead. I never played the copy of Avatar: The Game that came with the Wii, in fact it is probably still sealed in its original shrink wrapping.
I kinda regret not trying this game out at the time. It does actually look like a fun game for the time, but not good enough that I'd be willing to go back and play it today.
The environments look cool, although they don't even ATTEMPT to hold a candle to the film. Lots of grey, washed out colours (a problem in most games of that time to be fair, it was, for some reason, the style of the time) where the film put the vibrant colours of Pandora front and centre, those floating islands in the film were bright green and had all kinds of vines and flowers and stuff growing on them with all kinds of colours.

This game had hilarious multiplayer, also playing with first movie hype was a fewer dream. Too bad you cant just buy today, still have my physical copy.
